y’all i just finished finals and all my stress and studying totally payed off!!! 😭🫶 i got a 98 on my english final, a 96 on my psychology final, an 88 on my engineering final, and a 72 on my math final 😭🫶
I HAVE AN A IN ALL OF MY CLASSES RN SO SLAY!!! 🤭🤭🤭
#i did bad on chemistry so we just aren’t gonna talk about that LMAO 😅#LISTEN IT IS A HARD CLASS :(#still finished with an a tho 🗣️ barely 😭#and my spanish final also isn’t in so idk what that grade was#not all grades are finalized yet#but hopefully i end with all a’s 🤭#it’s looking like I will 🤭#I AM SO HAPPY YOU GUYS 😭

#disliking this course more than i thought i would#oh yes german linguistics!!! okay!!! sure i love that!!!#and then my grade is dependent on literally only writing assignments#i actually want to die. this brings me soooooooo much fucking pain#i just really despise the whole idea of it#you put a bunch of people in one class with differing skill level#and then make them all write 900 word essays in a language theyre not 100% on yet#and the content is soooo much just him rambling in class IN GERMAN !#and not all of it is on the slides so fuck if i remember#and even if i did remember its so much me trying to focus on catching what hes saying than actually absorbing it#and the topic even if i was writing in english would make me struggle#and you guys know!! im great at rambling!! It's the end of the semester for your girl and she somehow pulled through with zero non-passing grades; please clap and cheer.
#I was absent for the final assignment for my Makeup class but I passed anyway because the professor is a champ.#I got full marks on my Voice midterm.#I got a 9/10 in Acting class and very nice feedback#(side note: I think the prof thought I was about to cry because my face twitched with the exertion of making an appropriate facial#expression because I was scared of looking ungrateful. I hate responding to compliments)#about how he really likes how I work but feels there's a slice of my range I haven't explored yet.#He doesn't know what it is but the clue he gave me was 'I think it's dark'.#Anyway Actoral Training was an 8/10 for all of us because we only had three classes after the professor changed.#I retook my Dramatic Literature exam and got a 100% but since I initially got a 20% it averaged at 60%.#I think I'll get a 7/10 overall for class participation.#Theories of Perception is a ?/10 but since I'm positive I at least passed the exam and I have class participation I know it's good.#And Movement was a 9/10 for reasons unknown to me given that I handed in my report way late.#Anyway. A good semester academically if we ignore the fact that I got those grades at the last possible second with immeasurable stress.#l33chsp34k

this evening i got dropped from the english course i registered for for next semester because the eng course i took this last semester is a prerequisite to every other english course, and its currently listed as incomplete or failed because my professor hasn't graded our last assignment yet so i am straight up not having a good time :D👍
#kind of a vent#i need to email him and some other people because until its graded i cannot do a damn thing#the other classes i registered for dont total to enough credits i need for the semester#i will break something#this affects the entire class if he hasn't graded anyone else's paper yet. i know he's in the process of grading because he graded some -#- stuff related to our final late last week. but ohhhhhhhh my godddddddd#i barely held it together after getting that email saying i was dropped because i know i will not be able to find a decently scheduled -#- class or even a class at all ill probably be waitlisted. i am genuinely so frustrated

395: edtpa? DONE. reflection? DONE. self-evaluation for edtpa? DONE. now, all i have to do is edit edtpa and then submit it for like Official grading and not class grading
405: presentation? made and presented. revision portfolio and reflection? DONE (finished it like fifteen minutes ago lol)
444: giant research paper? DONE. reflection? done. presentation? DONE. just gotta go to the final exam period thursday to watch the rest of the presentations, but no more work for meeeeeeee
and then finally... 305... the only final i actually have left...

#guys i am not ready for this exam 😭 or any of my exams really#personal#the engineering chronicles#this is so so bad my final grades coming out of this semester are going to be appalling like almost all c’s most likely#and what’s worse is it’s entirely my own fault for letting the musical get in the way of things#i’ll probably get out of diffeq w an a- altho a or b+ are both in realm of possibility too. everything else tho. :/#also mad bc one of my other classes i was on track to get a b+ Easy and possibly even pull thru w an a- but then i bombed its last exam and#now need like a 98 or smth on this exam to get a b+ so that flew out the window#then physics and circuits i will Probably pass both of them i can get like mid 50s ish on their finals and still pass and i haven’t gotten#that low on any exam yet but UHH. still not nearly as low as i would like to be able to get and still stay safe#also would just. prefer not to only pass them like a b- or smth in both of them would be nice but :/#not impossible but also not particularly likely#diffeq i can literally get a 0 in and still pass vs the class i was on track to earn a b+ in i can get a 29 so we’re fine#there. but circuits and physics. scary ❗️

the most difficult part about group projects is not doing everything yourself
#to be serious i obviously want to respect everyone's time and efforts but sometimes it's genuinely very difficult to find a balance between#evreyone contributing in ways they would prefer and the output being good. what do you do when someone is bad at something yet enthusiastic#if this was baking a cake or something else i wouldn't give a shit but this is university and we have constructed but objective guidelines#clearly this is only a problem if you're a bad person like me who prioritizes results over how people feel in situations where we're graded#i am as polite as possible but how do i gently say let me do everything over for you#what makes this even more difficult is my own inability to start things early so this problem is double my fault - at the point#where i would have my thing done others have completed their work already before so i'm always overstepping#even if i'm ready before the deadline as well. the others are just faster overall#i'm fully aware how arrogant and insufferable i am and this is btw i know the people working with me are extremely talented in their ways#and carry skills i don't have etc etc but fuck some of the things i have to redo are sooooo simple and this way of working#is extremely inefficient because on top of doing my own work i have to look over the work of others and i know that's because i want#to do so and it's not their fault but at the same time they all did say they're aiming for the highest grade so what gives#i'm actually the worst person to have as a group work member </3 genuinely horrible. i've decided for now just let what is there slide and#emphasize giving credit about all the work the people have done rightly to them and then just quietly fix it later for the final submission#shit talking

I think it's very very very very unfair for your grade in a class to be based on 3 tests only AND to have all three tests weigh the same.
the weight of the midterms should not be equal to the weight of the final exam ESPECIALLY when you don't give us opportunities to raise our grades or actually study the material properly outside of the slides and one million pages of reading you assign. istg I'm gonna drop this class!!!!!

from just the first episode i thought wednesday was kind of tropey and i didn’t really like what it did with the addams family canon BUT it’s just unbelievable how 100% perfectly they captured my 5th grade escapist fantasies. being a hypercompetent morbid weirdo who went to a boarding school whose whole aesthetic, theme, and curriculum was centered around death and danger and who was also a successful novelist and solved mysteries was so exactly what i dreamed about that i’m enjoying watching it just because it scratches that old itch with surgical precision
#in 5th/6th grade i had hair that was i think shoulder length but it actually got into such a big tangle that it was literally the entirety#of my hair#for some reason i decided to keep this a secret and wore my hair in a bun for like 4 months except that the bun was the shape my hair was in#when i finally admitted to it -- and mind you i didn't keep it secret out of a sense of shame or anything#i honestly don't remember what exactly it was -- i think i thought it would eventually resolve naturally and just didn't want to involve#anyone else#anyway the hairstylist who cut my hair deserves so much credit because she produced a really cute asymetrical bob out of it#and in my defense the knot developed shortly after my dad moved into a new house so a hairbrush for that house hadn't been bought yet#so if i wanted to brush my hair there i had to remember to take my brush from my mother's house which i obviously forgot all the time#wait why did i bring this up on a post about wednesday addams#OH because before that i DID for some period of time have 2 long braids#the 2-braided character i imprinted on as a child was sheeta from castle in the sky#she has her braids shot off by the villain#i donated my hair in the 2nd grade i think and me and bestie masha k (who was nausicaa in our ghibliverse RP)#were like 'omg....this is JUST like sheeta....the ancient prophecies are coming true'#as if it was some crazy coincidence and not a situation i directly created by asking my mother to make an appointment as supercuts#wait you know what else i just realized#yentl 🤝 sheeta#characters i imprinted upon who have two long braids that get cut off#very sleep deprived hence the stream of consciousness tags#OH regarding the fate of the hair knot#most of it was cut off as one discrete chunk and my aunt actually still has it in a plastic bag to this day#she calls it the 'hairloom' and the idea is to show it to the next generation if they ever wine about having to take care of their hair lmao
