Idea stolen from @sillylotrpolls:

Counting all media, and you may take as generous a definition of companion as you like. To specify what 'number of characters' means in this context, if one character has multiple names, (fr'instance Bruce Wayne/Batman) that character only counts once. Otoh, multiple different characters with the same title, (ex. Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, et. al.) might all be Robin, but they each count as separate characters.

My belief: the archive crew doesn't notice future!Jon is nicer to them, because they're too busy being disconcerted by how he skitters around corners and stares with a million eyes and keeps hissing and muttering about how they need to murder past!Jon before it's too late. or at least cut out his eyes, come on everyone be reasonable.

i was just casually checking in on a doc with all six first (unfinished) novel drafts, six novel drafts from my wip novel series, to see if i needed to add any more writing that i'd forgotten to put in.

and guess how many pages was in that motherfucker? just guess.

580. Five-hundred and fucking eighty pages. You know how many pages that is in book pages? 1160. One-thousand, one-hundred and sixty pages.

I don't want this to be discouraging to anyone, but rahter a message. I thought I sucked at writing, that I was slow and couldnt write what i wanted, but thats all a lie.

Just keep on writing. As little or much as you want. And eventaully, you will be able to look at a page number and feel good. Or even care about your word count, who knows!

Also thinking of the part in the airplane extras where Airplane goes on a mission with Liu Qingge and Shen Jiu and Shen Jiu gets so frazzled after fighting with Liu Qingge that he holds his book upside down while pretending to read it like .. ueueue HE WAS REALLY JUST A KID.... He was just a kid that never should have become the man that he became because he was just a kid and he should've had support and love but he didn't and AUGH THIS PART (Sorry for my nightlight my roommates asleep)

Ughhghhghhgghwugghhghhuuu Airplane genuinely thought he could change... Shang Qinghua didn't think he could do that much but he used literally the most honest words in his LIFE up until that point to try to just equip Shen Jiu with one thing , one tiny piece of support that could make his life just that bit less of a living hell. And Shen Jiu doesn't even live long enough to use it
