Hot Rod is the Don Quixote of Cybertron, with an unwavering belief, if not in the best, then at least in the need to fight. He also appeared during or very shortly before the war, but shows a little less indifference about this than Bee. Hot Rod feels that this is all very wrong. So this took place in 2019 I think. It was my first day of learning show jumping. so the practice for that used to happen in a different arena than the arena used to normal classes. and the horse I had that day, navratan, was a polo horse. this is important. so I had already ridden navratan for my normal class where I'd done canter and trot and everything. So to get to the jumping arena there's a stretch of open road, and a path leading into the woods where there's the horse stables. so I take my energised, hyped up horse to the arena and then suddenly he sees this open stitch of land and just breaks into a canter that becomes a full gallop. I have the sense to not scream and luckily there's a stable hand who saw me so I turned to him and said in an absolutely normal voice "help please" before my horse just plunges into the woods. like an idiot I leaned forward to grip the reins. Big mistake because polo players do exactly that to speed up their horses. so he picks up even more speed which leads to one of my feet being dislodged from the stirrups. the whole time I'm internally like "it's ok, it's ok I can handle this". then my other foot also gets loose of the stirrup and now I'm just holding on this galloping horse, going full speed, with only my thighs. suddenly the stable wall comes into view and to my luck, they've dug up the ground around the wall and filled it with rocks. navratan takes a full 90 degree turn which causes me to literally fly off the saddle and land, back first, into this ditch. and I just laid there for five minutes before saying "well, shit" and getting up. and going back with navratan to class.
