how is your day going?: i just woke up so not sure yet, but it's been fine thus far.

are you okay?: sure.

what is your favourite shade of your favourite colour?: #67339E or something close to that. (pretty much a little darker than tumblr purple)

are you single?: nah.

are you happy about that?: i can't imagine a life without him so.

what age do you feel in your brain?: a solid mid-20's.

do you feel like the good times are behind you or ahead of you?: i feel like i missed the good times? idfk, sure hoping something good will come my way.

do you have a best friend?: yeah!

did you have a childhood pet?: a couple of border collies and cats and horses. there's been so many pets over the years.

do you sing or whistle around the house?: no fam we're having full on out loud conversations in this house.

do you light candles or incense?: nooot really. i'm scared i'll forget candles and just walk out the door.

are you busy Friday night?: i'll be working so kinda.

if you were a circus performer which act would you be in?: i have no idea. 👀

what is your favourite outfit?: whatever makes me feel good! but usually an a-line dress and some thigh high socks!

what's the last thing you created?: i'm working on a magical!mickey story right now!

what is your favourite fic or book of all time?: i haven't read a book in years, but fic wise: cg, tipdig, swa and dad live rent free in my head. if i had to pick outta those i couldn't.

what are you looking forward to?: getting paid so i can spend my adult coins on shit i don't need, heh.

what can put you immediately in a better mood?: cleaning up a little around me. i'm so messy man jesus christ.

do you like hugs?: suuure, i'll hug ya but it's not my favorite thing.

what is something you wish people understood about you?: i can't take a compliment but know i appreciate them. deflect, deflect, deflect and think about it for 14 days straight.

Now for a bit of fleeing, and a touch of fear;

A set of eyes shined in the fluttering whites, joined by another and another, and Lucient waited one more steady breath before he ran towards the docks. Something raked through my jacket, my breeches, my cheeks, icy and sharp. While more scraped through my boots, ripping them in two and stealing skin with. Curses, in too many languages, assaulted my ears as Lucient dodged, grunting with attacks I couldn’t see through all the mist. Still he continued, moving faster than I knew him capable. And he didn’t stop until we were on deck, one I recognized by our crew more than the ship itself. It was not the Lune Royale we’d left, not the remains of another life he welcomed me into and filled with fresh memories. No, the Lune Royale was gutted and rebuilt into something new, something ours. Proven when the mists stopped dead at the ramp and Jacques stepped out of them, in less formal attire and a distinct lack of wig—bald, death-blue head on full display. He made it to the top and no further, splaying his fingers in the air to press a palm against an invisible barrier. Snarling and huffing, wolves appeared behind him—big as bears—and between them a woman. She towered, green eyes glowing in the dark, and I knew those eyes. Knew the quirked grin. My fears were confirmed by Lucient’s gasp; she was the one from the masquerade, the handsy woman in the wolf mask. Yet she did not speak, did not taunt or tease. She stood smiling as Jacques tested the wall of ownership keeping him off what no longer belonged to his claim—and thus him. “More than the Council will lust for that pretty little head now, Lucient,” he growled, stepping back, uninvited as he was, “Enjoy your freedom while you have it.”

Do you have any of your own recommendations for choicescript/interactive fiction? Your game was pretty much my entry point for choicescript and I'd love to find more

Oh yeah! So it won't come as a surprise to anyone who's played ORCS RPG but my favorite choicescript games tend to be the crunchier ttrpg-inspired kind. I won't get super in depth about it but suffice to say I prefer a high amount of interactivity. (also I'm gonna mention up front that all of these are ongoing series, none of which have wrapped up as of yet)

My current favorite is Breach: The Archangel Job, by Michael Maxwell and Ben Luigi, a heist thriller where you join a crime organization called The Archangels and well, you do heists. There's a ton of customization, lots of characters, a dice rolling mechanic, and even cheat codes if you like playing around with those. It's very high-energy, very silly, and you can play as almost entirely nonverbal if you want and nobody minds, which is a massive plus for me, as someone with selective mutism. I would love to see more choicescript games like this one, it makes great use of the medium, and I hope it sets some lasting trends in that regard, if I'm being fully honest. Also you get to design and wear your own special crime mask, and masks are badass. I love not having a face.

My second favorite is Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven, by Jim Dattilo, which is pretty much exactly what it sounds like, a zombie survival game. I don't even normally like zombie stories, but this one kicks ass. Again, high customization, dozens of characters with their own arcs, a big inventory system, lots of exploration, crafting and shelter-building mechanics, it's buckwild how much stuff is piled into this game. This one started years ago and it continues to be one of the all time greats in terms of gameplay. I'm very much looking forward to Part 4.

If you prefer a less crunchy experience with higher emphasis on storytelling, may I direct you to the singular exception to my "don't talk to me about superheroes" rule -- Fallen Hero: Rebirth, by Malin Rydén. In this one, you play as a former hero who has decided to become a villain. Your power is telepathy, and my god, telepathy can be terrifying. The storytelling is incredible, and the massive sequel, which dropped this year, did not disappoint. This one dips into some very dark waters, particularly in regards to identity and depression and trauma, but it is also an exceptionally cathartic experience. I know this one is popular because I've seen folks taggin posts as "sidestep" in my activity feed.

Another story-based one with minimal crunch, and somehow the first fantasy genre game I've mentioned: I, the Forgotten One, by John Louis. I actually should have put this one before Fallen Hero because I am still reeling from how much I loved this one. You play as the Marshal, bastard child of the late king. Long ago disinherited and sent off to die in a bloody war that failed to kill you, you now find yourself in the unenviable position of not only delivering news of the king's death to a court that despises you, but also having to take up your sword to defend them all from a second war that is being waged against them by one of your old trusted comrades. And you are, unfortunately, incredibly good at your job. This is a story about trauma and violence and the horrors of war, and it is so, so, so good. Again, it touches on some very dark topics, so be mindful of the content warnings. But this one drew me in like a gotdam riptide, I could not put it down. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Somnium's tail flicked in exasperation as they silently waited in the ship's lobby for Vagrant to be done mingling with the other guests. The Gieeg had (surreptitiously) booked tickets for themselves and their partner to go on a luxury space cruise, which they figured would be a welcome respite from their usual routine of traveling the stars and looking for problems to solve...

Only, it was awfully hard to kick back and relax when Vagrant was off with the luggage and the keys to their room, doing who knows what and talking to who knows who.

Yes, Vagrant was carrying their things... the human had insisted on being the one to do so, despite only having one arm to make do with. "You're the one who planned this whole darn thing," they had argued. "Lemme give you a hand! Besides, it's not like we're takin' a whole bunch of stuff..." Fair enough. Most of it was Vagrant's clothes, Somnium had to suppose. And some odds and ends-

"'Ey, partner! Quit standin' around and let's go see our room already!"

Somnium snapped to attention! They looked down to see Vagrant, who was tugging on their arm. "Oh, bellhop! I didn't see you down there!"

"Bold words, for someone whose stuff I'm carryin'!" Vagrant flashed a cheeky grin. "For your information, wise guy, I was just catchin' up with some of our pals! Bumped into Degirue, and then Myke an' Ariine..."

"Really?" Somnium's head tilted as they led the way to the central elevators. "Fancy meeting all of them here..."

"Well, can't blame 'em for havin' the same idea. It is a great season for a cruise, after all! ...Probably." Vagrant set their bags down for a spell as the elevator began to rise. "Hard to tell in space. I suppose any season's a great season when y'aren't fightin' pirates or gettin' pelted with asteroids... hey? Look!"

Through the glass wall of the elevator, Vagrant had spied a familiar pair of Arkans, who were riding the opposite elevator going down. They tried, in vain, to grab the attention of the other two.

"Is that... Cercil and Uno?" Somnium peered over the head of their partner to get a better look.

"Naw, I'm sure it's just some other cyborg and one-eyed, cloak wearin' pal!" Vagrant guffawed.

"Don't make me turn this ship around!" Though Somnium's arms were crossed, the smile on their face betrayed their amusement.

"Go ahead, silly! Ship's not even movin' yet! Heard we're on a slight delay... after a mix-up at the front desk involvin' an hombre wearin' some kinda mask." Vagrant was the first to step off of the elevator as it reached their floor.

"A... mask?" Somnium repeated as they followed suit.

"Yeah. Saw 'im on the way in. It was a cool mask! Some of the other guests seemed a little uncomfy about it, but hey. Life's a masquerade, we all got our masks..." Vagrant shrugged.

"Mmm." Somnium nodded their assent as Vagrant turned the keys to their room. "A fair point."

"Hoo, boy! Lookit all this!" Vagrant threw down their belongings before jumping directly onto the large bed at the center of the extravagant suite. "Dang, this place is fancy!"

"Glad you're already having fun. Don't mind me..." In sharp contrast to their partner, Somnium was already reading over the emergency evacuation itinerary. After all, it was better to be safe rather than sorry! It looked like each cabin was part of a buddy system in the event of an emergency, and their assigned buddies were...

"Kaylin and Kai Madrid?" Vagrant had already made themselves at home, and was leaning over Somnium's arm to read. "Well I'll be! Small world, hey?"

"Quite... we have more than a few friends with us on this voyage, it seems. And from all over." Somnium folded the pamphlet neatly before tucking it away.

"An' I bet we'll make more friends, too! One was taggin' along with Degi, even." Vagrant fell back onto the bed, which was luxuriously soft. "Kulgen was his name. He's a Gieeg, too, and really into Earth culture and the like. So-"

"Just like Degirue. Birds of a feather really do flock together, eh?" Somnium chuckled. "I'm sure we'll have the opportunity to socialize more at dinner. For now... Vagrant?"

The human, who had apparently been more tuckered out than they let on, was already snoozing on the criminally comfortable bed.

"Ahahahaha. Here's to a relaxing vacation, then, hmm?"

20 questions For Fic Writers

1. How many works do you have on AO3?

All of six (although some unfinished) fics. However, I have written about fifty all in all, most of them are just up on my old livejournal. I haven't posted them on AO3 because no one would read them anyway.

2. What’s your total AO3 word count?

159 307 words.

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Currently Brigderton. And I have this Stucky WIP that I really do still intend on finishing. Other than that, I have written quite a bit for Doctor Who, Torchwood, SPN RPF and of course, Harry Potter (Remus/Sirius forever).

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I used to reply to every comment, back on LJ and on AO3 as well, but I was not prepared for the amount of comments I got for OLITDP. I couldn't keep up and ran out of new ways to say "thank you so much <3" so I haven't replied to any in a while. But every comment I get on the final chapter will definitely get a response.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

None that are on AO3. Life is stressful enough as it is, I just want my blorbos to be happy. Some of my earlier HP-fics were kind of angsty, mostly because I didn't quite do AU's yet. So there were lots of sad character moments for Remus and Sirius.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Pretty much all of them? Back when I started writing fics, I wrote a few with sad endings, but now I'll keep it ambiguous at the very least.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

One person commented on the first chapter of OLITDP that I should "be more obvious with self inserting and write OC/Anthony." Does that count?

I found it hilarious because a) I don't see how there's anything wrong with writing OC's and b) I genuinely was not self inserting.

But other than that, no. I haven't nearly gained enough traction to get hate.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I (anonymously!) wrote one smutty fic once and I still feel uncomfortable about it. As far as writing is concerned, it's just not my cup of tea. So much respect to the people who do, though.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

Alas, no crossovers. If I ever think of a good idea for one, I would love to try my hand at it, though.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I know of. Again, I'm not even close to well known enough to have something like that happen.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

See above.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Yes! I co-wrote a Remus/Sirius-fic with one of my LJ-besties at the time. I also started writing a fic with another LJ-friend that basically was Hogwarts: the Marauders Years. From what I remember, it was quite good, but it never got posted, I think.

14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?

I can't possibly. I can tell you for each fandom, but I could never choose just one. I could perhaps narrow it down to Remus/Sirius and Stucky. And Ten/Rose. And Jack/Ianto. And J2. And Penthony.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

The Stucky WIP, without a doubt. It's possibly some of the best writing I've ever done. I think.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I'm definitely not saying I always hit the mark, but I do feel that whenever I've written something I'm kind of proud of, it's usually to do with explaining someone's feelings without outright stating them.

I like delving into the psychology of emotionally stunted characters and trying to convey exactly how ignorant they are about their (and others') feelings. And I think I'm usually best at that when I write dialogue.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

DESCRIPTIONS. I HATE THEM. THEY ARE THE WORST. If I get stuck on writing a chapter it is always, 100% that which I get stuck on.

Like for OLITDP, 65% of the coming chapters has been written, all through dialogue. Getting from one spoken line to the next, however, is THE BANE OF MY EXISTENCE.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I've written a few school plays, which have been in my native tongue (Dutch) and that's okay. But it would feel weird writing dialogue in a language which is not part of the fandom. Maybe I could squeeze in a few lines of badly written French if the plot really called for it, I guess?

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Harry Potter, which was my main and only fandom for about 10 years.

20. Favorite fic you’ve written?

Maybe my Stucky WIP? There's some bits in there that are quite good.

I'm also quite proud of Be Kind, Unwind (my first J2 AU and first and only finished Big Bang) and Cut Here (a J2 version of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind).

Honourable mention to Midnight, which is a (partial and unposted) rewrite of a Harry Potter-fic I started writing almost 20 years ago. Not necessarily because it's particularly well-written, but I did enjoy taking some of my older work and rewriting it in my current style. It's kind of neat to see how my writing's evolved.

an undoing influence. Can someone tell you what to do? You have been carrying so much love within you for so long it is starting to turn into anger (why does it matter, all you see is red anyways) and you have been dragging this body through each day and every night you are split open on your bed and it is so so so lonely. If someone were to walk in while you were on your bed that way and they stitched you back in a new way, lining the seams with their love and kisses, you’d probably find this dreary world a little more bearable. You want someone to turn you over and over until you look in the mirror and see yourself looking back at yourself with a gentleness which has been lacking in you since forever.

the harbingers have been through fire. you've got the scars to show for it. some people say harbingers are jaded- scary, even, to people who don't understand that the harbinger has seen the edge of the world and survived it. but being the harbinger means you're cursed to watch younger, brighter eyes fall for the same traps you did. trying to help isn't enough for you; you know what they're getting themselves into, and you want to protect them the way no one ever protected you, so why won't they just listen? it's frustrating. it's terrifying. no one should have to live through what you did, and i hope you know that you can't protect everyone but it's damn noble of you to try. it's not your job to save the world but i hope you know you've already made a difference to everyone who has taken your words to heart.

it is the loneliest day of a vampire's life, the first time they look into a mirror and see their reflection missing. drinking blood sucks too, don't get me wrong, but as a vampire you had to learn to hide from the sunlight, from your family, all your friends, because you were unavoidably different now and you didn't know how to explain that to them in a way they would understand. you could get stranger's blood in bursts, but what is life when you can't know someone for longer than the night lasts? you left everything behind because it was easier than trying to tell them. i just hope you know you're not the only vampire out there, and that there exist people who will understand your situation without a word. they'll sit with you in the dark for as long as you'll need them to.

the final girl comes out the other end of trauma alive- or, they were supposed to. honestly, you're not so sure you're really alive anymore. you saw the same hurt take those you were closest to while everyone paraded your bruises as bravery, as strength, as if you're the hero. and it hurts. you're tired and you don't want to have to be brave anymore. whatever you went through, it changed so much of who you were that you're still getting used to the person you see in the mirror. you didn't have a say in any of it, but you're here now, and that's gotta count for something. you'll make it count for something. but first, you need to let yourself find rest.

this plight is the simplest of them all: you did not ask for this. you were never given a choice. no part of yourself feels human, just a collection of traits you've picked up from mirroring anyone you could, even the people you meet through a television screen. it's alienating to live that way- yet someone has called you the alienating one. maybe too many people to count. maybe they treated you so uncomfortably inhuman that it's all you can understand now, or you've dug yourself into such a deep hole in an attempt to keep safe that you can't remember a person living in the home of your body at all. being alive is confusing and painful and lonely and loud but living is all there is to being human- you're already  there. just take air into your lungs and breathe. close your eyes and picture a beautiful sky. you made that. you painted that yourself.

there's something inside a werewolf that's sharp, thorns and barbs coiling up in tight knots of vine even on their best days. halfway through a conversation, you'll forget your happiness and the pain comes back in a flash. you never meant to, but the sharpness has done harm on your behalf. it's defensive. it's leftover artillery from a battle you spent so long fighting that it  still doesn't feel like it's truly over, does it? you want so badly to be soft. to take the hand that you are offered instead of baring your teeth. and it might be hard to believe, but you are soft. you're the  softest one out there. it'll just take a while to untangle those vines enough to know that very little is often life-or-death, and not everything touches to hurt.

If your story was a TV show, what would the theme song/intro be?

It's not much for a theme song, but for some reason my brain says this one;

What are your favorite characters that you made? Why?

Lucient is the favorite of this WiP, it should be Ludovico/Deluca (who is telling the story) but it's not. I love him too but Lucient's just so much fun to write and more complex than he initially seems. Also he's bratty but loving and earnest and just...he just wants this man, ok. Forever, only him. And I love it.

What other pieces of media do you think your fan base would share?

Honestly, no idea. My brain cannot wrap around the idea of a fan base for anything I've done. Just does not compute.

What has been your biggest struggle with your WIP?

Getting the two main characters to stop making me write sex scenes. I kid (it's a problem I don't really mind) but the biggest struggle has been the real world setting and how much of it I want to replace with the magic I've injected into it. Historical fantasy is one thing, but it's more Alternate Earth at this point and my brain gets angry when it has to conform to rules it didn't create.

Are there any animals in your story? Talk about them!

Unfortunately not. They wouldn't be safe around the main cast. There are vampire who behave like animals, and by that I mean they wholeheartedly believe they are dogs due to abuse and mind-control and it isn't pretty. So...no animals, I am sorry. At least not yet, there may be a cat at some point (I tend to put them in everything).

How do your characters get around? (Ex. Trains, horses, cars, dragons, etc.)

A great big ol' sailing ship that begins with the name La Lune Royale but gets another one later. She is very beeg and covered in magic. When landbound, they use carriages, coaches, a train here soon, and eventually a car (maybe, I dunno if either of them should be trusted with such a thing).

What part of your WIP are you working on right now?

The time-skip that takes them through the rest of their first century together and into their second (and final). So...halfway point? You will recall the 130k I mentioned at the top, yes? Help me.

What aspects (tropes, maybe) of your WIP do you think will draw people in?

The vampires probably, and the romance, and maybe the magic? I dunno. It gets weird and doesn't seem to follow some of the tropes expected of this genre...I write weird vampires.

What are your hopes for your WIP?

To have it done by the end of the year would be neat, like done done, published and all.

Ah, my brainchild, my dear sweet baby. I've been working on this fic for almost 2 years now, and it's garnered quite a lot of hits, comments, and bookmarks in the meantime! I'm not very surprised lol, since this fic has been running for so long. It is one beefy fic too, so long and it ain't even done yet o.O. Fun fact, my ao3 account used to be solely for the purpose of posting this fic, but I eventually started to branch out.

Most Kudoes: Operation Helios (167 kudoes)

Operation Helios is a Klapollo chatfic, and man does it have a lot of kudoes! I really love this fic, it's silly and goofy and it was super fun to write! I've been meaning to write more chatfics, they are so delightful to write and super fun.

Least Words: Five Whole Lies, Cookie Affection, Steel Samurai Rants (100 words)

All of these fics each have exactly 100 words long, perfect drabbles as I like to call them. They were super fun to write and I loved writing them. Writing with a set word count is always so fun, even if it is a little hard lol.

4. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? YES! I try to respond to all of them! I do have a few I have to get to, but I do try! Before I wrote, I used to leave comments on fics to praise and encourage writers, and it felt nice when that comment was acknowledged, so I try to do the same. Now that I’ve written a thing or two, I see how good it feels to receive a comment, and I want to show my gratitude that somebody not only read my silly little thing, but also took the time to leave a comment. It’s just shots of seratonin all around

5. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?  none? I don’t believe in angsty endings. Life has enough of those. Fic is escapism.

6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending? All of them, but I think I Hope You Dance is the most obviously happy sugary one.

7. Do you write crossovers? If so, what is the craziest one you’ve written? Nope! But I am fascinated by crossovers when they work.

8. Have you ever received hate on a fic? Not yet!

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Not yet! Not sure if I have it in me, but maybe someday? Probably not.

13. What’s your all-time favorite ship? Umm that’s hard. I have a lot, but the one I would have died for was Spuffy. I was in that Buffy fandom for so, so long. Like years and years after that show ended, and I do still check in on it every once in a blue moon. But this current one with these two dummies has me enthralled, and it hasn’t gone anywhere yet. But I’ve got lots of ships.

14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will? Mmm I have a couple, but I don’t want to say I’ll never finish it! But I will say I’ll never post it until it’s done. 

15. What are your writing strengths? I am very good at correct details. There will be no plot holes in anything I write. I am meticulous. 

16. What are your writing weaknesses? Everything else! KIDDING! Umm I don’t love writing dialogue. I want it to sound like something the characters would say without it sounding like something somebody wrote for the character to say. It’s a difficult line to walk.

17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic? Sure! Just PLEASE translate it for us somewhere! Either next to it or at the bottom. It takes me out of the story if I have to open another tab to google translate that shit.

18. What was the first fandom you wrote for? Buffy

19. What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to? None! It takes a whole lot for me to write something, so this place is brimming with inspiration. Not sure I’ll ever find that again, and I sure haven’t found it before.

20. What’s your favorite fic you’ve written? I don’t know. I know which one I dislike the most, but I think the rest I love equally for different reasons.

He had plenty to do, and yet he couldn’t seem to stop himself from… pausing. Lingering. Coming back to the barn more often than was necessary, taking lighter trips. Dorian had gotten determinedly to work, settling in with a long, red metal toolbox next to the relic of a hay elevator under the barn’s hayloft. Whenever The Bull passed by it was to the sounds of clanging wrenches, frustrated grunting, and the occasional muttered Tevene curse. It was hot and stuffy and smelled of that deep musk of horse and dust and hay in the barn, but he could have comfortably sat back to watch that struggle play out all day. 

After The Bull finished his own tasks, he decided to check in more helpfully, leaning over to where Dorian had lowered himself like a mechanic under the bottom end of the long metal contraption, and asking if he needed a hand. Dorian pushed himself out and up, coming to sit on a foam mat placed on the barn’s straw-strewn floor, and looked up at him. He had grease on his nose and his jaw, sweat slicking back his normally soft-looking black hair, fierce pride in his bright silver eyes. 

“No,” he said swiftly, and The Iron Bull found himself disappointed. Found he’d been half hoping that Dorian needed something really heavy to be dramatically lifted. “I’ve just about got it.” 

The Iron Bull crouched, and squinted at the conveyer belt and its parts, the wheels and underworkings and their bits. Things looked in order, though they also mainly looked the same as they had before. 

“What did you do?” 

Dorian told him. He said things about tightening this and lubing up that and The Iron Bull was really going to have to get him to write it all down at some point, because he didn’t hear a lick of it. He saw the smear of black grease on his jaw and the additional spread of dust and grease across the thighs of his jeans, watched his arm flex when he grabbed the wrench and narrated his way through a few finishing strokes, heard a grunt, a curse, imagined a moan between them.

the harbinger - 

the harbingers have been through fire. you've got the scars to show for it. some people say harbingers are jaded- scary, even, to people who don't understand that the harbinger has seen the edge of the world and survived it. but being the harbinger means you're cursed to watch younger, brighter eyes fall for the same traps you did. trying to help isn't enough for you; you know what they're getting themselves into, and you want to protect them the way no one ever protected you, so why won't they just listen? it's frustrating. it's terrifying. no one should have to live through what you did, and i hope you know that you can't protect everyone but it's damn noble of you to try. it's not your job to save the world but i hope you know you've already made a difference to everyone who has taken your words to heart.

the ghost - 

it's an odd thing, to feel so far from grounded and yet trapped, tethered, unable to escape. there's more you have to do! so why can't you move? i'm sure you have an answer to that, at the very least in the back of your mind. people love to say that ghosts hold grudges or haunt for revenge but they always get it wrong; you're stuck because something or someone chained you down and left you there. you try and reach out to all those bright people who pass through your life, but it rarely feels like it does much more than knock a cup off the table, blow some papers into the air. i need you to trust me- they see it. they're listening. they'll keep looking for you and, eventually, they'll be able to see you too.

i knew about all of the projects you've mentioned above, actually, i check the main tag from time to time, even though (guilty) i'm not fully here either.

i think it's awesome how there are still talented authors and creators who are finding motivation to work on something they love and then share it with the fandom (even in its half-dead state) - and they do it so professionally. i keep my fingers crossed for all the good projects to come :)

i started to read ilw but (guilty again) i have yet to finish it. but what i've seen/read so far was amazing and so, so appreciated. no pb book got so much attention, support or fan content in a while (at least not in the tumblr choices community) and i think that says it all.
