Wolverine is an interesting name for Logan.

While he is somewhat feral and hairy, yes, that’s not enough to go off of when Scott and the Professor stumble on him in those woods. Another trait of a wolverine is that they are easily domesticable. Easily tamed, in a way. Xavier took one look at Logan, who was broken and scared, invaded his mind to shape it how he saw fit, and named him after one of the most tamable wild species. And even still in the X-Men, he is shamed for his animalistic instincts. He is expected to be tame and civilized, is expected to be domesticated like many wild animals people bring into their homes. And when he acts on these less desirable instincts, he is cast out, in a way. When he lashes out, whether in some sort of courtship- much like a wolverine- or because of overstimulation, he is scorned and tosses aside until he is ‘presentable’ or docile. He is fundamentally deprived of the pack activities from the very animal he is named after, and is just expected to be okay. He is expected to discard these instincts, and yet he is named after the very thing these instincts resemble. He is used as a work animal, sent into dangerous situations like a canary in a cave, only to be retrieved and saved if someone may be fond of him- like someone may be fond of a pet. Logan is presented as an animal, and is yet expected to act like a man.

Anyways, Scott/Storm/Wade is the white lady who takes one look at a traumatized fight dog, goes ‘oh, buppy’, and has that thing spoiled in a week.

"hm maybe the star wars hyperfixation is already leaving me!" I say and then I want to cry and scream and bite the walls over how happy Wald and Kitster were for Anakin when he won the pod race.

LIKE DO YOU EVER THINK ABOUT THAT? EVERYONE CHEERING UP BECAUSE THAT LITTLE ITTY SCRAWNY SMOL SLAVE WON AN IMPOSSIBLE DEATH RACE? THE ADULT PILOTS? THE WHOLE CROWD CHEERING FOR THAT KID??? AND HE DID IT TO HELP THREE WEIRD STRANGERS? AND WALD AND KITSTER WERE SO HAPPY FOR HIM.

But they're so small, and know nothing but harshness and all the abuse of being a slave and then Anakin gives them hope, it doesn't matter what happened after but for them? IT GAVE THEM HOPE, RIGHT THEREEE. I can't imagine how that must feel, you're a DAMN SLAVE, for your whole life which is just 9-10 years of life, there's nothing but dead, you have a damn bomb in your head and you have seen others head being exploded. And then your bestie who's also a slave wins the impossible in order to help strangers and in doing so he wins his freedom. That must be so amazing, like the excitement of seeing it happen? Of being there? How many times did your bestie almost explode? but then he won and escaped tatooine?

Do you think Shmi thought of Anakin every time she saw Kitster and Wald running around and playing that they got to join Anakin and become a space wizards?

isabeau tries to be a gentleman and take siffrin's cloak for them. the moment he picks up the cloak, he realises: it's heavy.

"Sif, what do you have in here...?"

he turns the cloak inside out.

there are knives. backup knives. backup backup knives. endless snacks. coins. more coins. another knife. a bundle of rope. two flowers. seventeen rocks. sif why do you have so many rocks. sif is that another knife. sif why do you have so many knives.

all of these are attached to his cloak through velcro straps and sewed on pockets.

i think that the idea of kiibo being a protagonist too is vastly underused in the fanworks i’ve been seeing. at least not the way i have it in mind.

the idea of shuichi & kiibo being the actual protagonist duo. i know that kiibo is technically the tv show protagonist, but like the game protagonist, he’s got to have one or two playable mechanics to make the show interesting, right?

like imagine if kiibo also had free time events, friendship fragments and love suite events. (that would explain him not having many friends besides miu & shuichi, since technically he’s supposed to let the “player” (audience) decide who he hangs out with.)

some of the funny parts would be when the two living protagonists would collide. them surprising each other in the casino farming tokens for cool gifts to offer to their friends, hell maybe kiibo has his own truth bullets!! them not realizing they are getting each other’s undergarments friend fragments.

or like for the love suite event. what if kiibo had his own?? imagine if one night they both activate the key and get each other, but both think the other will completely forget what happened? however, since they’re both protagonists, both have a hazy recollection of what happened in the love hotel room. would the next morning be awkward or wholesome?

the possibilities are endless!

Cyclops seems like a good name for Scott, on the surface.

He tends to his flock of people in his care, lashes out against outsiders who threaten them, and that whole one-eye thing with his uniform. And yet, if you read the Odyssey- the story which features a cyclops the most- the cyclops is injured. He loses control of his greatest strength and would require great help to even grasp at that again. And when he cries out to the other cyclopes who scorn him, he is shunned for being injured and tricked, and is left to fend for himself. Even with only the eye being struck, there would’ve likely been at least a little bit of brain damage. And after the plane crash, Scott was basically left blind, burdened with having to cover his eyes so his mutation wouldn’t hurt others as migraines ravaged his senses. And he lost his brother as well, not for scorn, but simply because he was undesirable to potential adoptees. And here Xavier comes along, injured like Scott. He promises Scott a home and a way to improve- which, to his credit, he did. And in exchange, he made Scott a child soldier, his prototype, his test. A test to see whether or not he could take these children and make them into war. And Scott, poor, injured, love-starved Scott, went along with it because Xavier showed him the smallest bit of consideration. He believed that Xavier truly wanted the best for him and to help, and in return he was made into a soldier and named something that reminded him of the very accident that started him on this trail.

He is close to Jean because she can enter his mind and understand, and he is close to Logan because he has been through the same.

Basically Red from the yt series gets flung into the start of the TV series. I imagine for him to have a job and everything he kinda had a whole life while he was. Out of the loop, y know. Also Red is a bit different between the two series, so Yellow and Duck definitely notice

I'm forever obsessed by the big contrast that is that Anakin is universally percieved like a dog or a dragon (for obvious reasons, it fits him!), obviously I mostly mean by the fandom, but in-universe there's lots of dragon comparisons.

But Padmé is the only character ever to compare him to an animal (a feline) that's universally considered as very independent, stealthy and regal, and like it is so jarring and out of the blue after being sold into the dragon-dog agenda that at first it doesn't make sense, but then again Padmé's the character that knew Anakin the most and it was Anakin's only relationship with not strange power dynamics attached to it and I think there's some beautiful and a very interesting comment to make about it.
