ok but I'm actually starting to get pissed off and annoyed with this weird family dynamic stuff they're doing in mk1 just to try to stop the gay ships that's been around for a while now.

like subscorp (Kuai x Hanzo), bitomas, subsmoke (Kuai x Tomas. I'm not too much of a fan of this ship but I'll mention it anyway) and shaoko, idk if there's anything else but lmk if I missed anything I guess.

this is the only recent game where they're both in it together but they make them step bros yet I've seen people make mk1 subscorp and no one is really complaining about it and it gets a bunch of likes, which is WORSE than mk1 bitomas because it's ACTUAL incest. mk1 bitomas isn't incest, they're not related to each other in any way. they're not even the same race.

so I got a little hc/story for y'all:

sometime after the brothers' dad takes Tomas in, Tomas falls for Bi and his whole idolization for Bi is a coverup to try to hide his crush on him from Bi and Kuai. yes he gets close with Kuai as in best friends but he feels this is something he should keep to himself for now.

Bi wasn't actually always mean to Tomas, at some points he might have been cold to him sometimes but that's just Bi, just cus he was cold to him, doesn't mean he didn't care for him.

but then at some point Bi-Han fell for Tomas, probably starting in his teen years, but since he didn't know how to express it or deal with it, he acts how he acts towards him like how he does in mk1. it's because he never felt this way before towards anyone, let alone a guy. so he pretty much acts kinda like a tsundere in a way. keep in mind, even before this, Bi still didn't see Tomas as his brother and Tomas obviously didn't see him that way either cus of his crush on him.

all those years their feelings for each other got stronger and stronger, which made Bi more cold to Tomas, which was the time he told him that line in that one scene in mk1 about him not being brothers or Lin Kuei.

but after the betrayal of Bi-Han, while Kuai and Tomas were making the Shirai Ryu, Tomas snuck back to the Lin Kuei at night to see Bi-Han.

they fought because Bi started it, he did think Tomas was there to kill him or was there for some revenge but all Tomas wanted to do was talk. after the fight, Tomas managed to get Bi to stop.

they talked for awhile, Tomas asking the question as to why Bi-Han did all of this in the first place, why he was cold to him, why he got so much colder after all the years. Bi was hesitant to tell him, especially now since he thinks its too late to let him know the truth, he probably ruined all chances he had with him now.

but he did tell him anyway, he told him the truth, everything. from the very beginning to now. Tomas wasn't expecting this, he didn't think Bi felt the same way towards him but was he really telling the truth about the other stuff?

Bi-Han backed away after he told him, he understood that he might not believe his words anymore. Tomas stayed silent on Bi's bed, thinking, before he spoke and told him that he should tell Kuai this truth even if Kuai might not believe it.

he paused for a moment before he spoke, agreeing with Tomas. he then called him to Bi's bed, Bi was hesitant because he wasn't sure of it, he didn't know if he should.

after a few minutes, Bi joined him in bed and Tomas held him, confessing his love to him too, even after everything, he still has the same love for him like the first time he fell for him.

they wind up being together in secret for months as Tomas helped Kuai with the clan. during that time, Bi did told the truth to Kuai too and apologized for it. Kuai is a bit hesitant to forgive him right now but he will consider it. he will still work on his own clan as it still feels like the right thing to do.

SPIRITED BACK TO YOU

"Happy birthday, Chihiro," her mom and dad smiled at her. Chihiro smiled and blew out the candles. "What wish did you make?" Her dad asked, "w-wish? I'm way too old for that!" She scoffed.

Chihiro spent the rest of her day with family and friends. But she couldn't help but feel as if something was calling to her.

A few days later, Chihiro decided to go on a bike ride. The feeling was still there and she had to get rid of it. "Mom, dad! I'm heading out!" She called, "wear a coat!" Her mom replied. "Oh and remember, we're going somewhere, so take the keys!" Her dad calls, "mhm!"

Chihiro biked all the way down the hill she lived on. She came to a stop. The woods, the woods where she knew there was a tunnel. "Should I go in...?" She asks herself, feeling a sense of deja vu. She turned her bike and pedaled towards the tunnel. Chihiro hopped off her bike and stepped forward. Chihiro's eyes widened. She remembered. She remembered everything. The Spirit Realm, her time as a worker at the bathhouse, Lin, Kamaji, Haku.... It all clicked. Her strange dreams where she feels deja vu, her interests in supernatural things, everything. Chihiro stepped in, "should I..?" She asked herself. She nodded, "I will," she said, stepping inside the tunnel.

The more she walked through the tunnel, the more she felt memories fading into her. And then she was on the other side. It looked the same as when she left. She wondered if everyone else changed like her. Or do people in the Spirit Realm not grow? She made her way through the city, she remembered that Haku fed her something, a berry, maybe? She ran out to a field and looked around. A red berry, yes a red berry. She picked it and pocketed it. "I guess all I have to do is wait..." she muttered. She wasn't too sure how time worked in the Spirit Realm, hopefully she would get back before her parents.

After a while of waiting, waiting, and waiting, it finally turned night. Chihiro stood up and noticed herself disappearing. She ate the berry and soon enough, she became visible. "Now what to do....what to do..." she muttered, "it'd definitely cause a ruckus if I entered the bathhouse, but what other choice do I have...?" She doubted Haku still worked for Yubaba, but still. She looked at the building, then the train tracks. 'Building or train tracks?' She asked herself. She didn't have a ticket, surely she can walk. But who knows how long it'd take for her to get to Swamp Bottom? She sighed, taking her final breath as she held her breath in.

When she passed security, she took a breath. She ran down to the boiler room and slammed the door open. As she walked in, Kamaji said, "it's rude not to knock, you know," he said, fiercely. "Kamaji, it's me, Chihiro. I have a question," she said. Kamaji straightened his back a little. He turned his head, slowly. "...Chihiro?" He muttered. Chihiro nodded, "oh! It's you! I remember when you were so small!" He said, patting her head with one arm. "Well, I'm 15 now," she chuckled, "15, wow..." he muttered, "anyways, what's your question?" He asked. "Um...I wanna know what happened after I left. You know, to Lin, Zeniba, No-Face, Haku," she said, counting on her fingers.

Kamaji went silent, as if he was thinking. "Let's see, Lin's still saving money for train tickets, so she's working here. Zeniba and No-Face are still together in the cottage. And Haku...well, he visits us, but it seems like he's busy venturing both the Human and Spirit Realm," Kamaji says. "W-what!?" She exclaimed, "what? What's wrong," Kamaji asked. "Well..I was kinda hoping to find him here, but now you told me he's in the Human Realm too. It seems impossible that I'll be able to meet with him again!" She cried, tears starting to form. Kamaji grabbed a tissue and wiped her tears, "don't cry, Chihiro, there's many possibilities you'll see him," he says, Chihiro sniffles. "He doesn't live in the Human Realm, he just goes adventuring there, plus, he couldn't have gotten too far from where you live in the Human Realm," he comforted, "you're right..." She calmed down.

Then, the door opened, "hey Kamaji, here's your food," the woman said. "Lin!" Chihiro cried, happily, "huh? Whose this dope? And how does she know my name," Lin said. Chihiro took no offense, she knows she's changed. "It's me! Chihiro!" Chihiro exclaims, "Chihiro? Jeez! You've grown so much, how long has it been? It feels like you were small and tiny just yesterday!" Lin exclaimed, "5 years for me.." Chihiro smiled. "What brings you back here?" Lin asks, "she has intentions of finding Haku," Kamaji explains. "Really?" Lin asks, "yes! Do you have any idea where he could be?" Chihiro asks, "I suggest going to the place you first met him, if he's not there, maybe you can ask Zeniba," Lin says, "I don't have train tickets," Chihiro's smile fades. Lin looks at Kamaji. "Don't Look at me, those train tickets were hard to get," he says. "Ah! Maybe I could walk!" Chihiro suggests. They both look at her. "You sure? It could take a while," "I'll be fine," Kamaji and Lin look at each other , "okay, but if you can't stand walking much longer, just come back," Lin says. Chihiro nods and runs out.

"Hey! Chihiro! Wait for me! I have the boat!" Lin calls, running down with a wooden boat. "Ah! Sorry!" Chihiro calls.

Lin places the boat in the water and boards it, "here," she says. Chihiro gets in and they make their way to the train tracks. "Alright, be safe," Lin says, "okay," Chihiro says, taking off her shoes and holding them in one hand.

Chihiro finally gets to Swamp Bottom, and she's greeted with the lamp. She follows the lamp and knocks on the cottage door. "No-Face, dear, would you go get that?" Zeniba asks. Then, the door opened. No-Face tilts their head. "Uh, hi No-Face," Chihiro waves. "Who's that" Zeniba asks. "It's me, Chihiro, granny," she says, putting her hand up. "Chihiro? Why, I haven't seen you in years," Zeniba says. "Come in, come in," she smiles. Chihiro enters. No-Face pulled out a chair for her. "So what brings you here?" Zeniba asks, "I'm looking for Haku," Chihiro says, "Haku? Hmmm..." she mutters. "Do you have any idea where he is?" Chihiro asks, "no, unfortunately I don't," Chihiro saddens. "I won't ever see him again.." Chihiro muttered. Tears started falling down her eyes as she thought of never reuniting with Haku again. "Oh dear...please don't cry," Zeniba said. No-Face took a napkin and wiped Chihiro's face. "Chihiro, honey. Dont ever look at the negative side of things. You will never get out of that pit if you do. Believe that you'll see him again. You know you'll see him again," Zeniba said, consoling the girl. Chihiro sobbed even more. But she knew Zeniba was right. She had to be positive.

Chihiro left the tunnel, this time with memories. As she was about to hop on her bike, a voice came from behind her. "Excuse me..." the boy said. Chihiro flinched in surprise, "o-oh...hello," she said, turning around. The boy in front of her looked vaguely familiar.He had a short bob-cut and thin eyes. Almost like...! Chihiro gasped, "....Haku?" She muttered, stepping closer.

The boy stared at her, smiling, "Chihiro," he smiled. Chihiro smiled and ran all the way towards him to give him a hug. "Haku!" She exclaimed, happily. Tears started spilling from her eyes as she sank to the floor. "I-I didn't think we'd meet again...." She cried, Haku wrapped his arms around her. "Now that we're together....I don't ever wanna seperate again!" Chihiro cried, launching into his chest as he fell on his bottom. "Yes....we will stay in touch..." Haku replied, happily.

Haha, you don't have to beg. I just didn't wanna get into it because that ask was turning out to be super long.

For post-canon Linzin, obviously, Tenzin's kids will be involved and they all have very different ways of processing it. To start off though, I don't see Lin as trying too hard to have a relationship with her boyfriend's kids because it's already awkward enough but she'll basically mirror the way in which each of them are with her.

a) Jinora: Being older, wiser (and tattooed), I'm certain she displays the most maturity in the situation. Her opinions are often reflected in her younger siblings, and sometimes it's not for the best. She understands why her father married his mother and not the person he was in love with, to begin with, but she faults her father for not making better decisions back then because now she (and her siblings) are left feeling some kind of fulfillment of duty. She likes to meditate over it- of course, Tenzin is very apologetic about the whole situation and while she wants to be supportive of her father she has a hard time processing these unique feelings. Jinora also has a lot of regard and respect for Lin and it's very clear between them that Lin's not trying to take on the role of her mother in any way- and somewhere while that's a great understanding to have between them, it often gets in the way of them bonding in their new relationship. She is happy that her father is happy but she is upset on both Pema and Lin's (from the pre-canon Linzin) behalf. He didn't treat either of these women justly and naturally, she has a soft spot for her mother who did dearly love Tenzin. All in all, I'd say for these reasons, Jinora is mostly estranged or indifferent to post canon Linzin for the most part. She'd rather not have anything to do with their relationship. She gets along very well with Lin and for her family's sake, forges a more personal relationship. However, over time, as Lin becomes her confidant, Jinora learns to cope with her feelings and winds up with a healthy relationship with all three of them.

b) Ikki: Ikki likes to stand out- and she's volatile. She hates being her sister's shadow. And like any quintessential child of divorce, starts acting out. If Jinora is going to be mature about it, she sure as hell is not going to be like her. She gives both her parents a bit of hard time- blames her father for their "broken family", blames her mother to have had better morals about breaking up a relationship pointing out how poorly her advice worked out for Korra and that now she has to pay for it. It's mostly all superficial. She has an understanding of the situation but she refuses to accept it. She doesn't want all that much to do with Lin even though she does actually admire the woman. She'll mostly just storm off in the other direction (or her room) whenever Lin shows up and Lin shrugging in response doesn't help. It isn't until Lin finally relents and gives the kid the attention she wants that Ikki starts to realize it's not all that bad. Ultimately, she forgives her dad and remains very close to Pema. She develops a soft spot for Lin but deep down, her sorrow for her mother keeps their relationship from getting too intimate.

c) Meelo: MEELO IS OUT OF THE WORLD THRILLED! Sure he exhibits about 10% of the understanding that Jinora has but he can't help it BECAUSE THE HERO LADY HE LOVES SO MUCH IS GOING OT BE LIVING WITH HIM IN THE NEXT ROOM!!!! He takes the divorce really well and keeps in touch with his mother from time to time. As a boy, he really isn't the kind to build and maintain relationships so he is a little out of touch with his mother in an out-of-sight-out-of-mind kinda way but as he matures, he makes sure to check up on his mother from time to time. Did I mention he absolutely loves Lin? It's the best gift Tenzin could've ever given him and he loves his dad for it. Ikki and Meelo often clash on their opposing views but that's where Jinora and Tenzin come in (cue: more resentment from Ikki). He often idolizes Lin and the day he gets married, he thanks Lin for being the best mentor he could've ever had and that he is the man he is because of her.

d) Rohan: Rohan straight up doesn't understand anything. I went a little back and forth on this because he's too young to have a stance of his own. I could see him moving to Ba Sing Se with Pema since he's definitely more attached to her but at the same time, that would be separating him from his siblings as well as his airbending/air nation training with Tenzin- which wouldn't be fair. He ends up spending most of his weekends at Ba Sing Se though and also starts seeing more and more of Lin at the Air Temple. He's mostly just giggly around her and tries to cuddle her- something she wasn't very receptive to, to begin with. To him, it's just becomes new normal and adjusts to it pretty smoothly. He misses having his parents together, but Tenzin is sure to comfort him when need be. Lin becomes a second maternal figure to him and they end up having a sweet relationship.

Saturday mornings are Rooster’s favorite time of the week. He can usually sleep in just a little and wake up to the warm California sun instead of his blaring alarm for once, and a lot of the time, he wakes up to you curled up half on top of him, his legs tangled up in yours.

Some mornings, though, he wakes up with a jolt, as someone lands on his bed and jostles him around until he wakes. He groans, positively moose-like in his half-asleep noise.

The little culprit giggles. “Wakey wakey!”

“Hng…”

“Noooo, come on, Daddy!” she whines, and it’s annoying how cute she sounds. “We’re coming to work with Mommy!”

Her tiny hand starts pulling on his mustache and he avoids it by burying his face in the pillow. “Hey! Stevie— come on. No.” 

She only resorts to tugging her dad’s exposed ear, and with that, Rooster grabs her into a tickle attack and raspberry blows on her stomach, sending her into a fit of cackles.

“I think somebody’s awake…” you tease in a sing-songy tune from the bathroom door, all dressed up and radiant in your light blue dress. He’s not sure whether it’s the late summer sun or your makeup (if you’re even wearing any, he can’t tell sometimes) or the way your belly swells so beautifully under the sleek fabric, but he’s never been more in love with you in his life.

(He finds himself saying that a lot these days. And he means it every time.)

Offering your hand to your daughter, you tell her, “Let’s go and get you ready, kiddo, so your dad can go shower.”

“Noooo, come on, five more minutes!” He whines while his daughter climbs off of the bed, bounding towards you.

You look at him pointedly. “Nuh-uh. You’re on breakfast duty, so. On your feet, sailor.”

“Aviator.”

“Whatever.”

He smiles, watching the loves of his life animatedly chatting on your way out of the room. And despite his ‘complaints,’ he goes over his morning routine humming a happy song. Making breakfast, preparing snacks, sipping his own coffee and brewing your special tea (lemongrass and ginger with a touch of honey, just how you like it.) 

Because there’s nothing —and he means nothing— he’d like more than to spend his day off with his girls, in any way, shape or form. Whether it’s a slow day at home, or singing the full Frozen soundtrack on the way to Los Angeles for “Take-Your-Husband-And-Daughter-To-Work Day.” 

“Y/N! Thanks for coming in on short notice,” the director, Nora, greets you with a big hug at the office waiting room. And upon seeing the plus-two tagging closely along, she beams. “And you got your family with you!”

“Yeah, this is Bradley and our little monkey Stevie.” you twiddle her pigtail fondly, while Rooster and Nora shake hands.

The latter crouches down to level with the 4-year-old. “Hi, sweetie! I’m Nora. How are ya? You wanna watch Mommy work and hang out in the control room with us? Yeah?” The woman beams and offers a high-five, which Stevie meets halfway.

You smile at her somewhat tentatively. “Is that okay? She’s pretty chill, and—”

“Of course, of course! In fact…” she pauses thoughtfully, all the while leading the three of you into the recording studio. “Didn’t you say your husband can sing?”

Rooster finds you and Nora looking at him like you guys are plotting something, and he can’t help but panic a little bit. “I mean, I can hold a tune…?”

“He’s being modest.” You shake your head with a chuckle. “What are you thinking?”

“Well, Lin revised the opening number and there’s this part —it’s like two lines— and I thought it’d be cute if…”

And that is how Rooster, in his civilian getup of Hawaiian shirt and jeans, ended up in a cameo role in a Disney princess movie that you’re starring in.

The only film experience he had is Top Gun, and it’s more his turf than yours. But now, alone in a fancy recording booth with nothing but a pair of headphones and a mic in front of him… he is way out of his depth.

“Alright, Bradley. Let’s give it a try, shall we?” Lin-Manuel Miranda’s voice pipes up in his comms (monitor, you would correct him.)

And there’s that, too. 

The music starts to play, and he hears other vocal parts singing in his ears. Through the glass that separates the booth from the control room, he sees you, holding Stevie in your arms. Swaying and dancing along to the music, and he decides he’s gonna sing these two little lines for you.

His girls.

Rooster must’ve only been there for 15 minutes max, but when he hears Nora calling it a wrap, he’s so relieved. He returns to the control room filled with cheers and applause, and a teasing remark of you know where to go if you ever decide to leave the Navy from Lin. His little girl reaches out for him, and he’s all too glad to catch her in his arms.

“Now you got one more film credit under your belt,” you whisper in his ear, kissing his cheek.

That is pretty cool, he admits. But he also can’t wait to blend into the background again and let you shine. You’ve always been much better than him at that. It’s your home, after all. He’s more than happy holding Stevie on his lap, as she watches the rough animation on the screen, watching you voice the young princess to life.

Of course, as a 4-year-old, the novelty wears off pretty quickly and she grows more intrigued to mimic “Uncle Lin” and how he vibes and headbangs to the song, and “Auntie G” who conducts the song as the music director. And when that no longer excites her, she moves onto her coloring books. Happy as a clam and quiet as a mouse amidst the busy comings and goings of the studio. You and Rooster always joked that she’s a film set baby who knew ‘quiet on set’ since she was born.

“What do you think, Stevie? Do you like Mommy’s princess song?” You quietly coo at her when you return to the control room, having finished your song of the day.

Maybe Link finally realizes how he feels about Reader but by then it’s too late as he finds Revali teaching her how to use a bow and she helps him with close distance combat with a sword and shield. He watches as the two laugh together before revali picks her up and spins her. Maybe he sees the two share a kiss and he realizes too late that he lost not only his best friend but possibly the love of his life. Okay, officially finishing my review catch-up tonight seeing as we're in October now and I wanna stay as caught up as I can be going forward with the rest of this year's challenge. It's so easy to get behind with these things. Anyway, I rewatched the original Insidious movie recently for the first time in over 10 years and you know what, I think it managed to hold up well. So, I've been thinking about checking out the rest of the series this year maybe. Or at least a few since I never watched even the second one despite the first ending on a cliffhanger I had forgotten about. lol I chose to watch this one before that since I figured with it being a prequel that it wouldn't matter in terms of the story. I personally thought this one was just okay. The way the story went down just kinda felt repetitive at parts with the demon messing with the girl and her dad would just run to her & ofc there'd be nothing by the time he got there. Now thankfully they only did that a few times before we got the Elise character involved but it does take a little to get to that part. Or at least long enough I was losing interest. lol That's when it got better for me cuz I like that element of these movies. But yeah, ultimately, I wasn't able to appreciate this one as much as the original so that was a bummer. Curious how I'll feel after finally watching Chapter 2 after all this time.

halloween was fun! we went to lin lin's friends house again. i dressed up as aang and nathan was appa. i thrifted my whole outfit! it was super cute and i got a lot of compliments from people saying they liked my costume.

i didn't drink too much at the party so i felt good the whole time. and i played a lot of beer pong! nathan and i won like 3 games, i played a game with a guy in a fairy costume and we won, and we lost when playing liz and this random guy at the party dressed up as the professor from power puff girls. he was carrying a bottle of chemical x which was just hennesy. barf

im glad we went tho. i was feeling a little stressed about the outfit and paying for the ubers there but it all worked out well.

i've also been hanging out with more school friends. i ate brunch with sophia and christina at town and country. but it was so healthy there. i wouldnt go back lol. i just got a latte bc it was a vegan restaurant. dont trick me with your fake chorizo!

i also went to the w basketball preseason scrimmage with sophia and saw a bunch of people there.

and my fav part was probs doing hot pot at home with nathan, mai, and jenn. i originally was just gonna hang with jenn and order in food. but nathan got a bunch of hot pot ingredients! so we all stood around our tall table bc we only have 2 chairs lol. and we did hot pot. it was really good! and it was fun chatting with mai and jenn. mai left earlier to get ready for a halloween party on campus. jenn and i were supposed to do some painting but we ended up just chatting instead. and later that night we saw jimmy o yang! it was a really good show. this night was probs the highlight of my halloween week and it wasn't even really halloween related. just fun times with friends and good food and a free date night with nathan.

ive been working on doing scholar rx and anki lately. i updated my add ons so it's more fun with killstreaks and a heat map for what days/how much i worked on anki. it's def motivating. im realizing that i remember things better when i write them out on my ipad. it takes longer but def helps it stick in my memory when i know the spelling of the word.

i think i've always done this but now it's more clear. but if i can see the spelling of the word in my head then i can remember and pronounce it better. it feels like im reading subtitles in my brain. and if i dont know how to spell a word, then it's really low odds that i'm gonna remember that word or pronounce it correctly. i find that it happens a lot with words in different languages or medical terms. if i only have an auditory intro to the word then it's easy for me to get the sounds of the word mixed up. but once i see the spelling and break down the word into easier chunks, then i can use that word more effectively and apply it. but the thing is that im an awful speller. im good at reading but not spelling. it used to drive mom and dad crazy bc i really loved reading and would do it a lot. but i couldnt spell for shit and was always making errors when i wrote myself. there's something about seeing the word in front of me vs in my head that makes it stick.

i feel like ive accomplished a lot of the goals that i set for myself lately and now i want to do more.

what im proud of accomplishing:

went to prom and had fun

made my halloween costume

lots of quality time with friends

working on anki consistently

read some books

attended some writing workshops for aya even tho i was uncomfy and didn't like feeling vulnerable. i cried.

what i want to work towards:

work out - walking, playing basketball, anything really. ive been very stagnant and it takes a lot for me to get out of the house. once im out it's easy for me to continue being active. but if im already inside, then i wont make the effort to be active. but my step count in oct was lower than sept so i wanna keep staying active. GOAL: at least 5k steps 3 days a week.

care for dry skin - find solution for dry skin over top lip

wake up earlier, dont just stay up all night and sleep in all day

if nathan is home then seek alone time outside of the house

Bi-han had been away for nearly a week. He had hoped not to be gone for so long, he walks up the small path that leads up to the small cabin. The snow fell lightly reminding Bi-han that he is finally home. He sees the door slam open and a blur of pale blue and black clothing come running out.

"Fùqīn!, Fùqīn! Your home!" His daughter yells as she runs towards him, her hair almost floating behind her as he runs to him. He almost rips his mask off as he sweeps his daughter off her feet and spins her around. "Wǒ de xiǎo ài diayu" he says holding her close. "Missed you Fùqīn" she laughs as she rest her head against his shoulder. He hums lightly as be carries her back to the cabin.

"Now where is your Nari?" He ask as he walks them inside. "Nari! Nari!, Fùqīn is back" she yells as she basically climbs down her father. His s/o makes their presents known as their daughter runs up to them. The pick her up before making their way to Bi-han.

"Hello my love" is the first thing he say, his S/o smiles wrapping their spare arm around their husband. "Missed you Bi, but I think your daughter missed you more" they say leaning in to kiss him. "I've missed you both, I'm sorry I was gone longer then I anticipated." He replys giving his partner a kiss on the lips before placing one on his daughters head.

"I'll let you spend sometime with her while I finish up dinner, I should have enough for all of us" they say smiling lightly. Bi-han sets down his bag along with his equipment before he lays down on the floor beside his daughter. "Daddy, do you think tomorrow we can do training again?, I wanna learn how to make snow crowns" she says while flopping down on his chest.

He laughs lightly. "I don't see why we can't do that Ai-Daiyu, but let's lay here for a bit, I'm tired and we will have dinner soon, but tomorrow we can make as any as you would like" he replys to his daughter pulling her closer too him. They both lay there until his partner calls them for dinner. "Lets go eat Ai-Daiyu"

"Hello my love" Bi-han says as he pulls his lover into his embrace. They rest their head against his shoulder and the sway lightly to the music playing on the small stereo in their bedroom. "Hi baby, I missed you" his S/o says leaning up to claim his lips in a kiss.

Bi-han effortlessly picks his lover up wrapping their legs around his waist had he walks them over to the bed. "And I have missed you my love" he says beginning to trail kisses down his S/o's neck. He kisses them again enjoying finally being home with his lover.

They both nearly miss the knock on the door. But Bi-han hears it and groans before rolling off his lover. The door too their bedroom opens slightly. "Nari, Fùqīn can I sleep in here with you tonight?" She ask holding her stuffed polar bear. Bi-han looks to his lover before smiling to his daughter. "Come up" he says and her smile brightens as she climbs up into the bed.

"Thank you Nari, Fùqīn" she says as she cuddles In between them. She falls asleep rather quickly once her father wraps his arms around her. "Getting cock blocked by our daughter already" his S/o mumbles earning a small nudge from their husband. "Behave" he says lightly. "And I thought I'd be the one telling you to behave Bi-han" they say leaning over to press a kiss too their daughters forehead before kissing their husband.

ANOTHER REC from the author who wrote The Wife is First 妻为上! I’ve actually read like six of her novels so far (will do a compilation soon heh) and 绿野千鹤 (the author) is very fond of transmigration, going back in time, reincarnation, revival and everything, and she’s also very fond of historical settings where men can marry men, in varying degrees, and this is one of them!!!! This is a very feel good novel, just like The Wife if First - considered a sweet, not complex novel.

After recovery, Song Xiao gets to school and becomes tablemates with someone who looks exactly like Jin Tang, called Yu Tang, who is the heir to the wealthy Yu family.

Cue Yu Tang and Song Xiao trying to test each other out to see if they really transmigrated to this world and have memories of their past life, navigate their families and find other transmigrated people from that dynasty in their current timeline. Yu Tang and Song Xiao also reaffirm their love for each other after clearing up the misunderstanding that led Yu Jin Tang to go off to war suddenly that year, which inadvertently led to his death after.

1. 宋箫 Song Xiao - In his past life he was a scholar who first met YJT at a palace feast, and YJT fell in love with him at first sight and was adamant on marrying him as his empress. Considered to be a real pretty boy HAHAHAHA as expected, but before he transmigrated he was often the subject of bullying. He ends up rooming with YJT, and they start second-guessing whether each other has transmigrated. It’s hilarious because even before confirming that he is indeed YJT, Song Xiao is so used to things like feeding YJT chicken wings, helping him with his clothes etc. from back in his days as empress, and YJT in modern world is also like used to it and then when they realize their actions they’re like ???? hold on, are you...

Totally doesn’t get Math (like all of us), but luckily he’s so smart and picks up all his academic material quickly. 

2. 虞锦堂/虞堂 Yu Jin Tang/Yu Tang - Went against laws and his father in his past life to marry Song Xiao, and really, really loves him. He always doubts that Song Xiao loves him back, however, because of the way he basically forced Song Xiao to marry him, and did not take in any concubines etc. in the year they spent together before he died. They argued over this, which led to him going to war in anger, and to his eventual death. On his deathbed, out of spite and anger at his impending demise, he asks Song Xiao to die with him, but does not mean it, having already planned Song Xiao’s future for him.

He wakes up in his new body as an 11 year-old named Yu Tang, 5 years before Song Xiao transmigrates despite their deaths being minutes apart. At some point he goes to read historical books and is furious and devastated when he reads that Song Xiao killed himself after he died, and wonders if it’s because Jin Lin didn’t tell Song Xiao about the decree.

He’s been waiting for Song Xiao to turn up, and when he does, Yu Tang finds himself testing Song Xiao to see if he really has his memories or not, and even plots for Song Xiao to room with him because Yu Tang gets pissed at the thought of someone else seeing Song Xiao’s body as he comes out of the bath everyday HAHAHA. 

In this modern world, he no longer has to deal with the burden of country etc., and one of the possible heirs to the Yu fortune and empire, he now only has to deal with greedy relatives and a grandfather who may oppose same-sex relationships, but smart Yu Tang knows what he’s doing and is more than familiar with fighting for the throne in his past life, and now in this life. Because he lost so much in the previous life, he’s now plotting to keep everything, including Song Xiao.

3. 虞锦麟 Yu Jin Lin - YJT’s younger brother, who also transmigrated to the modern world the year Song Xiao does, but in his past life he dies much later than his brother and Song Xiao did out of natural causes. He is reborn as Yu Tang’s baby brother, and this baby has ALL THEM MEMORIES.

4. 独孤暗 Du Gu An - Yu Tang’s current same-age bodyguard, was picked up from the streets by Yu Tang when they were both younger. He was the head of YJT’s secret army in his past life, who transmigrated over.

Other Things I Like in the Novel:

In private, Yu Tang and Song Xiao refer to each other frequently as emperor and empress, but they’re conscious to not say it in public because they know people will wonder if they’re insane hahaha

Yu Tang ran for President of the Student’s Club, won, and then changed all the names of the different committees in school (cleaning committee, disciplinary committee etc.) into historical ministry names like, Ministry of Rites, Ministry of Justice etc. hahaha

They acknowledge each other quite early on in the book and it’s so sweet from then on! Technically even though they’re 16 year-olds here in spirit they’re like... they’ve lived another lifetime together, so Yu Tang refers to Song Xiao as his wife and empress, and keeps stealing kisses etc.

The man who killed YJT in his past life was reborn as Yu Tang’s literal dog in the modern world, and a lot of characters transmigrated/were reborn as well, including YJT’s eunuch gonggong, who is actually a high-ranking butler now in the main Yu family branch and who has also been waiting for YJT to turn up in the modern world. When Song Xiao first meets him, his eyes automatically go to the butler’s crotch LMAOOO

YJT’s sister was also reborn as his sister, and because he wasn’t able to protect her in his past life, he’s very thankful that he can do so now

It’s really cute because there’s even an overseas academic exchange part. Outside of school they also try to navigate their relationships with their families, and it’s impressive to see how Song Xiao and Yu Tang deal with their pesky relatives, work etc.

Song Xiao has to defend himself (with the help of Yu Tang) against his stepmother, and another woman that his Dad had another affair with etc., but all these tactics are elementary to him as he recalls how his siblings in his past life were much more merciless and scheming than this towards him LOL

- I don't really need to talk about the music because, as expected, it was top-notch. Everyone was great, great voices, god-tier dancing, just good shit all around

- Songs are cut and things are changed, but honestly, NOTHING was lost so there's no need to worry. For every story element they take away, they add SO MUCH MORE with the changes they made to make up for it. It's like ITH for the first time all over again :D

- First up, Usnavi. MY GOD ANTHONY RAMOS, I AM SO SORRY I'VE BEEN SLEEPING ON YOU FOR SO LONG! I never paid him any mind back in the day because his face was just plastered all over Lams stuff (UGGGGH) so seeing him doing his own thing SEPARATE from that? I WAS ONCE BLIND BUT NOW I SEE

- The whole beach story-telling thing was throwing me off the whole time. I remember how PETRIFIED everyone was when the trailers showed that, but I had faith that there was a point to it and I WAS RIGHT!! The SECOND Sonny pointed out that green crab he painted, it was like a slap in the face, and when Usnavi started his whole 'There goes my flight' part, my cousin and I silently fist pumped in pure joy

- Also, USNAVI👏AND👏VANESSA👏AS👏MARRIED👏BUSINESS👏PARTNERS👏FUCKING👏ALL👏MY👏YES (Why did none of us think of this before????)

- USNAVI AND VANESSA GETTING A CANONICAL DAUGHTER, FUCKING YES PLEASE, PUT THAT HAT ON HER HEAD

- Speaking of, Vanessa got an expanded role, HELL TO THE FUCKING YES. (She got a last name change from Otilla Garcia to Morales, but hey, her last name was just a workshop thing anyway so it's JUST not-canon enough to make changing it acceptable)

- Vanessa being the one who decided on the mural thing and getting Pete and Sonny to help just...BEAUTIFUL. That's TRUE LOVE right there

- Lin as Piragua Guy and Chris Jackson as Mr. Softee; that was the funniest meta shit I've EVER seen.

- I?? Did not expect?? To come out of this LOVING Kevin Rosario??? Like, he was SO MUCH BETTER and less antagonistic??? And I LOVED IT??

- Seriously though, getting rid of his prejudice against Benny was THE MOST WELCOME CHANGE in this whole movie (to me at least). When those two were together in the dispatch during the Blackout and helping people, that was just *chef's kiss* That was the pseudo-father-son shit I have been CRAVING for those two!

- Blackout was much less scary and chaotic than we were led to believe in the stage play; a part of me was disappointed, but the way they made it with everyone taking it in stride made up for it. It was like 'Aw dammit, blackout! Welp, bust out the fireworks and the Bingo boards, we're gonna be in the dark for a while, you all know the drill.'

- Also, lights turning back on RIGHT after Carnival del Barrio? Nice touch 👌

- Pete was SO GOOD. Favorite scene:

Usnavi, with Sonny: You're out here; who's watching the store? *points to Pete who's booking it out of the store having stolen something*

1.) Okay ANGST. That would be so heartbreaking if Toph dies or if she's just missing. Like, I imagine Kanto sets Lin down in a high chair or puts her down for bed, and when he opens the door, he's so glad he's not holding her because he would've dropped her. Kanto would be absolutely devastated. Toph is everything to that man, and he'd be inconsolable.

2.) That would be so sweet! Definitely a bit sad, I mean, imagine what it took for her to admit that to her parents. But then when they tell her they love and support her, the world feels a little less scary and heavy for Lin. She's got a great support system behind her that will have her back always.

3.) A very cute idea! I feel like both Toph and Kanto take care of their hair really well when the have the time and ability to do so, so I think it would be adorable if Kanto took the time to learn how to do his baby girl's hair.

4.) Oh. My goodness. THAT'S SO SAD. Toph would feel like it's her fault, Kanto would try to be the reassuring voice to both Toph and Lin, and Lin perhaps is in a bit of denial. I think eventually, the three of them are able to get through this change, and Toph would be Lin's biggest advocate and support, showing her how to navigate the world through seismic sense and would be someone that can relate on that sense. Kanto I think would already be pretty aware of how they perceive the world and would be encouraging. So while I think overall they'd be fine, I think that initial conversation would be rough.

5.) Yes! Gimme good grandparents Lao and Poppy :) I really like the idea that Lao and Poppy are in their daughter's life, so the HC's where they're good grandparents is so sweet.

6.) Any firsts that Lin accomplishes are like... A HUGE accomplishment and celebration. Kanto gets to see Lin's first smile (Toph eventually gets to trace her smile), and Toph gets Lin to laugh. Lin walks to some random object which annoys them because they were competing for that one, but they're still so excited to see her walking. And first earthbending experience was once of the greatest feelings in the world for the both of them.

7.) Ooooh very interesting! I have a feeling before Kanto knew that Lin only liked the boy as a friend, he'd very much be Protective Dad!Kanto, so that would be kind of funny. And just as he's about to say something to the kids, crisis averted and he's all shocked and like... 0_o

8.) No thoughts head empty just Kanto whispering the entire film into Toph's ear quietly but loud enough for her to understand. And every now and again he just whispers sweet compliments and sayings to her.

9.) I think this would be fun if Toph was stuck at home because she's pregnant and so Kya and Izumi have her cornered and she has no choice but to let them play with her hair haha!

10.) We actually have this HC where Kanto is afraid of bugs too, so it would be HILARIOUS if the Beifong girls are just like "It's just an itty bitty bug!" Kanto and Katara are both like "FUCK NO GET THEM OUT OF MY FACE GAH."

11.) Lin would definitely stick out her tongue and yell "Gross!" but Toph and Kanto just tease her for it as they hold onto each other.

12.) I mean, at any age, Toph and Kanto would be mortified, so they'd just freak out and try to wake her. I can see Toph elevating Lin's head as Kanto gets help and whatnot. They don't sleep for days after it.

13.) Again, I think both Kanto and LIn would freak out, but Kanto would tell Lin to go get help as he holds Toph and tries to wake her. Kind of depends on how old Lin is, but I think she'd be scared and confused because Mama is the toughest person she knows. Why did she faint? I can see her having nightmares about that afterwards.
