SO THE YEAR IS 2008. our key main players are as follows— fernando alonso, 2x world champion and also my skrunkly, his teammate nelson piquet jr, a rookie in this szn and also the son of known garbage can nelson piquet, pat symonds, renault’s director of engineering, and flavio briatore, renault’s managing director and TP at the time.

renault is literally not even in contention for the championship this year, so why they did this? who the fuck knows honestly. but we’re headed into the singapore gp. fernando has a very unfortunate qualifying, getting knocked out in Q2 after a mechanical failure and starting 15th, next to piquet jr who starts 16th. the race is seemingly normal. fernando pits on lap 12 for tyres and fuel (bc yes, back then u could refuel) and then 2 laps later, piquet jr fucking bins it into turn 17. like the flop that he is. and bc this specific turn makes it difficult to retrieve cars, they had to deploy the safety car.

2008 regs meant that the pitlane would be closed while the safety car was deployed until all the cards bunched up behind it. this gave fernando a significant advantage because remember, he already pitted 2 laps earlier, which meant that by the time the pit lane opened, the rest of the grid would have needed to pit for tyres or for fuel while he didn’t, giving him the clean air to put himself in front of the order. shenanigans ensue (massa’s fuel hose nightmare etc etc) that give him more of an advantage, and he goes on to eventually win the race.

NOW. to anyone else, this seems very, very normal. wow ! congrats to nando and renault for scoring their very first win of the season ! #underdogtingz ! and yes for literally a year, that’s what everyone thought .. until the next season.

in 2009, renault were flopping saurrr bad. they kept the same lineup and while fernando was doing his absolute best dragging the tractor that is the r29 (and slaying bc the fucker actually managed to put it on pole once), piquet jr was unsurprisingly a total disappointment, amassing a whopping ZERO POINTS !!!! renault was like wtf stop embarrassing us, and then dropped him over halfway thru the szn for romain grosjean.

piquet jr was PISSED. and he is his father’s son, so obv he decided to stir up some drama. he came onto national tv and was like um . ackshually . singapore 2008 was a LIE bc symonds and briatore asked me to crash ON PURPOSE. they had a masterplan all alongggg and everyone was like wtf !!! and briatore was like fuck you i’m suing u AND ur fuckass dad !

im not even gonna lie idk what came of that but in the end renault was like aight we’re not even gonna fight, also symonds and briatore are both resigning byeeee. eventually the FIA was like yeahhh y’all did this shit on purpose and symonds at least confessed, but briatore was STILL denying involvement even tho he clearly had enough evidence against him. symonds ended up being banned from any FIA events for 5 years (he’s working for the FIA now btw. christ!) and briatore was banned indefinitely but u just cant take the sport outta him cos u see him around sometimes lmaooo

fernando denied involvement and the FIA was like we believe u princess 🥰 whether he actually knew or not .. we don’t know .. but be was literally caught up in spygate the year before that so honestly who the fuck knows. this would honestly be nothing to him he took part in corporate espionage what’s a lil cheating gon do to his wibbly wobbly morals

ok so basically there's this swedish band called ghost made by a guy named tobias forge who's only a little bit important. they sing about satan and religious trauma its so cool. and the best part that their concerts are like. kind of a theatrical performance in a way

ok so the main singer is typically a papa (y'know like. how priests are called father) (exception to be explained later) and the band members are ghouls (who are all hot and sexy)

so there's this guy named Papa nihil and he fathered Papa emeritus 1, 2, and 3 and is the illegitimate father of 4/cardinal copia (he gets killed by copia in 2020 tho rip old man and ur sweet sax solos)

sister imperator is leader of clergy and mother of copia, helped kill papas 1-3 we love to see a girlboss winning

papa 1 (aka primo) - "first" frontman of the band, real real old, was fired by the clergy (read: killed) and replaced by papa 2, not enough content of him :(

papa 2 (aka secondo? i think) - i swear to god without the facepaint he looks like pitbull. hc he became pitbull after he was replaced. anyway he was taken out for failing to take over all religions and governments even tho that's kind of a tough job to do! - You know back in the day I didn’t know much about these two but the more I got into twst, the more I got interested in their relationship as brothers. Like think with me here, Ortho was literally a robot and Idia is a shut in, who wouldn’t be curious about it. BUT GODDAMN I GOT HUMBLED SO HARD READING THE CHAPTER 6 TRANSLATIONS. LIKE I ALREADY HAD A FELLING ORTHO WAS DEAD BASED ON HIS FIRST BIRTHDAY VIGNETTE (where Floyd gave Ortho sneakers (I do remember it was shoes but please correct me if I’m wrong here) and Ortho hung it up and someone pointed it like “hey did you know that what Ortho is doing implies that he’s dead”) but to have it hit you in the face was so 😭 LIKE IDIA IS LITERALLY THE BEST BRO YOU CAN ASK FOR WAAAAA. Like how Rook and Epel really went to STYX to get Vil and the others back and now that Vil got what he really wanted (to be the “hero” that stands at the very stage), it was really nice honestly

Heartslabyul Gang 

- Definitely love their brotherly relationship that I see in a lot of fanfics, it’s really fluffy honestly (also read as: I love seeing Mama Trey suffer handling his 3 children while Cater is just there taking pics)

Diasomnia Found Family (well they boutta become the unfound family real fast when Chapter 7 arrives)

- Ok so it’s kind of obvious I’m a Diasomnia stan but I just gotta love everyone’s relationship despite how dysfunctional it is (I literally envy Lilia and Silver’s relationship as Father and Son cuz I don’t have that type of relationship with my own dad 😔👊). But overall tho, I am so not ready for the amount of angst that’s gonna come when Chapter 7 get released. Especially when they appeared during the end of Chapter 6 it wasn’t some sinister evil scene you’ve been seeing for the past 6 chapters, instead they looked like a normal family and then Malleus starts talking about how fragile human life is. Knowing how Malleus (and Lilia but I’m not even sure if peepaw is gonna survive at this rate) will literally outlive everyone, he’s too scared to say goodbye so what I’m thinking is that Chapter 7 will tackle a lot of deep topics that will most likely send me to a crying fit and it would also make sense that Ignihyde is there to help us yknow. Literally we have Malleus who will most likely be the one to OB, Lilia who’s slowly dying, and Silver who has his sleeping curse and was seen by MF MICKEY MOUSE in the other side of the mirror, implying that Silver might be unconsciously traveling in his dreams (and that he is important in Chapter 7, he might be from our world too who knows 🤷‍♀️). Sebek is (surprisingly) the only normal guy in Diasomnia but that scares me as well since the guy also has his own issues in terms of his own identity (his half fae half human crisis) and trying to find his purpose and where he belongs, and knowing that he might become the voice of reason (literally with his loud ass voice), get his ass humbled so hard or he’ll rebel and join the first years. Chapter 7 has set the bar high for me, it can literally go on any direction at this rate and I’m not ready for this rollercoaster shitshow
