It's 100% true that the Roy siblings did not choose to be Logan's children and Tom and Greg and the old guard did choose to work for him so their relationships to Logan are fundamentally different, and the degree of culpability they bear for their own moral degradation is also wildly different. But workplace emotional abuse is also very real and omnipresent in the way Logan treats the people who work for him. And one of the impacts of workplace emotional abuse is creating an extreme attachment to the abuser and becoming less cognizant and even defensive of their abuse towards yourself and others, and in cases where the emotional abuse is institutionalized and systemic it can also create a strong aversion to leaving because your whole sense of personal identity becomes wrapped up in the organization and so being forced to leave can cause an intense psychological crisis. I don't think the situation of working for Logan is at all equivalent to being his child but I also think that it's a bit misguided to imply that Tom and Gerri and Frank and Karl are operating from a place of pure rationality without any undue psychological influences when they make the choice to stay with and support Logan

How would anti Tails react to nine?

You know, in general I'd say it heavily depends upon the situation. However, no matter what, I think they'd both meet each other and immediately not trust each other. They could end up working together, but it would take a lot to get them to trust each other.

Honestly I think if Anti-Tails got to know Nine a little, though...he'd think Nine is wasting his potential in some ways, and he'd be jealous of Nine in others. Maybe Anti-Tails had people around and didn't grow up alone, but just as Nine was bullied and tortured and had to learn to defend himself, Miles's only "support group" were people who took advantage of him or used him or didn't seem to really care about him. But while Nine built inventions and protected himself only to isolate himself, Miles uses words to his advantage. He doesn't act out too much (especially wary of Scourge), but it’s kind of clear that once Scourge left Moebius Miles manipulated his way to the top, the secret mastermind masquerading as the lackey or number two. Even Anti-Sally admits that she's the figurehead, leader only in name. Miles is the one with real power and influence.

Perhaps to Miles, Nine had all the power in his hands (both when he had 2 shards and when he had the nearly complete paradox prism). Wouldn't that have been the perfect time to exert his control over the city he'd been born in (if not the entire shatterverse)? Would it not have been his chance to make sure no one could hurt him again, or to mold that world into his vision? Using absolute power to isolate oneself in an empty world is coward's talk, right? To Miles, why spend all your time trying to get away when you can make sure you're on top this time, ensure you can never be victimized again (not from strangers, your own "friends", anyone)? I can see Miles thinking that Nine limits himself, that he has so much potential he refuses to take, and I can see him jealous that Nine had such ability, meanwhile he was stuck trying to manipulate his way up, play the feelings balancing game, and essentially placate people (and scourge) while trying to rise to the top while trying to limit the amount of hurt he experiences.

But in a way...I can also see him jealous and annoyed regarding Sonic. Just like with Archie Tails, I think Miles would catch onto Nine's attachment to Sonic pretty fast. And I think he would think "Why are they all attached to Sonic?" (given his experiences with Scourge), chastize or tease Nine for being weak or limiting himself because he fixates on Sonic, and I think he would be jealous deep down (even if that idea of a Sonic who is a completely selfless hero is a lie) that Nine could know a version Sonic who cherishes him (or, at least, Nine believes he does).

But yeah basically my answer in the end is that Miles would see Nine as someone wasting his potential, someone who could or could have become him, and be jealous of certain things that Nine has or had

Although, as a final note, if Miles' only reference for other versions of himself is Prime!Tails from the archie comics, I can see his immediate reaction to Nine being "I wonder if he's like me?"

MISBEGOTTEN

They are probably not human human, but they are still too human to think about eating. They would not hesitate to eat you though.

NOBLES

That's a dude. Don't do cannibalism folks. Also they look made unhealthy.

SCHOOL OF GRAVEN MASS

Not eatable. That's a big stone. If there is meat in there, it's human meat, so don't. Studying them my bring intellectual nourishment.

Not eatable. That's a bunch of magic stone. The eye may be organic, but if that's the case it's probably a human eye. Who the heck put that thing there?

Eatable. Plenty of good meat, also maybe it can give some milk. A great choice.

I don't know if that's a human being or not, but it has a human face and speak so eeeeeeh don't eat her. Also it's constantly lamenting the loss of her stillborn children or something the the mood is horrible.

Eatable with caution. There is a LOT of meat in that beast, but good like killing it. Be careful to take out all the stone fragment in it's flesh before eating. No one know why i grew so huge, may be some unhealthy eating habits. Proceed with caution.

OMEN

Even if he looks fucked up, that's a guy. I say it again but DON'T EAT HUMAN BEINGS, that's a horrible things to do. Why do you keep asking that?

BURNING SLUG

Dubious. If it's eatable, it require a very experience cook with a specific technique and some special tools. Probably an interesting experience to try once but not very glamorous.

FLAME CHARIOT

Dubious. While most of it a machine ad a guy (don't eat the guy), the large oil tank could be useful for cooking and frying. Definitely good to have on and for a nice change of pace.

MARIONETTE SOLDIER

Not eatable. Even if there is no human soul in there, that's just dirt wood and rusty metal.

Don't eat people. A better, more reasonable idea would be to ask if they have a meal to share. People tend to be nice and share food when you don't charge at them with your weapon out and a bloodthirsty stare.

Eatable. It look gross but it's actually a healthy creature. Be VERY careful when skinning eat or you'll rip the deathblight gland, you'll get stomachache.

Even if we forget the whole don't eat people thing for a second, there is no way that thing is healthy to eat. Maybe you can cook the worms but i would advise against it.

RED WOLF OF RADAGON

Eatable. Like any other wolf, but maybe it's sentient.

CRYSTAL SNAIL

Eatable. Require a lot of time and skill to take out all the crystals, but safe to eat otherwise.

WRAITH CALLER

That's a guy, even if he's got four arms. Some of them got horses but they look skinny and sick.

ALBINAURIC

Not eatable. That is still probably a guy, also they are full of Mercury. Some dudes in Volcano manor definitely already tried eating them, but they are not a good exemple to follow for making morality choice.

REVENANT

Not much humanity left in this thing, but still would fill cannibaly. Also it's undead, constantly vomiting poison, and an horrible amalgation of corpses who act like it want to had your body to the mass. Probably not very healthy to eat.

GRAFTED SCION

A Human creature, not a moral things to eat. While there may be some animal meat in there, nobody feel good about trying it.

Me at 2-3am, having slept approximately only 1h last night (…/day), yawning: Hmmm. I could go to sleep before dawn for once, or perhaps read a bit of that fic I have been meaning to keep up on.

Me, 50min later, accidentally ruminating on vampires instead: OR…………. I could spend the next five hours & notable craft mess on creating a couple of assemble-able little clay puppet dolls, for the sole purpose of having better anatomical and positional clarity when playing out ephemeral little scenes between fictional little fool men inside my mind 🤔
