Worldbuilding: Kittypets

In my rewrite, Kittypets are not seen as regular cats, like clan cats or even loners and rogues. They are seen as distinctly non-cat.

They are seen as Fae. The cats, of course, dont know the human word for Fae, but the concept is the same.

Kittypets are considered tricksters by all the clans, some more than others, and those connected to kittypets are untrusted.

The reason why is a few different things.

-If you give them your name, they will replace it ("Oakface is a silly name, i'll just calk you Oak")

-if you spend too long around them, you'll lose your clan name entirely, and if you try return to your clan, you'll never behave the same.

-if you lie to them, every other kittypet will know (and some will hunt you for it)

-if you break a promise, you will be cursed

Over the years, this idea has skewed from generation to generation. As of Arc 1, the cats believe Kittypets have magic, and can do various things, like talking to or commanding dogs, embuing flowers or herbs with powers, and, in some cases, can even curse other cats with misfortune or death.

Fireheart never disputes these claims, Cloudtail actively plays into them, and Scourge unintentionally confirmed the promise one after killing Tigerstar (because he broke an agreement)

MY KITTENS ARE DONE!

Meet the 5 kit litter who belongs to my oc Lambcry! Who I will be posting soon. All these kittens are so different in so many ways. I love it. Their father is Mushroomstar if none of you guys knew that. Who is evil.

I won’t get into their backstories here but I will post them individually in my GreekstarAu Blog! So go check that out.

-The first born is Sycamorekit! Becoming Sycamoreheart later on. He is probably the most different of his littermates, inheriting his grandfather’s, Pirateclaw’s blue eyes. He is a dark gray tom with brown lighter faded tabby points and has a spiky fur (his fur grows in later as he grows)- Warrior/traitor to Thornclan. Becoming mates with a Willowclan she-cat and later joining.

-the second is Mosskit! Becoming Mossflower or Mossleaf- honestly I can’t decide yet lol. She is honestly beautiful and I can’t believe I made her🥹 she’s a white she-cat with silver tabby points. She also has pale, light diluted brown tabby markings on her face and a long stripe down her back along with a brown tabby tabby as well! And of course has purple eyes like her mother. - warrior before becoming an apprentice (wasn’t able to cause of her sister but now that Cloud decided to become a warrior, Mossflower/leaf took a step and became a medicine cat.

-The third, Pinekit! Becoming Pinefang and then later being renamed Pinefoot(He was named ‘Fang’ as a reminder to his father but when Lambcry rebuilt Hawthornclan, now Thornclan, she renames him ‘foot’ for his swiftness and skill in just everything. Not to mention has dark brown foots lol) he does train in the dark forest with Sycamoreheart as apprentices and later Warriors before leaving. That’s all ima say. He’s a brown tabby with darker tufts and points and a lighter belly with amber eyes with a hint of purple. - A warrior who later becomes deputy.

-the fourth! Oakkit who becomes Oakface! He’s a light brown Tom with darker tabby points and amber eyes. He also has a torbie patches tail after his father, Mushroomstar. He has amber-orange eyes along with some white on his eyes. - Always and forever a warrior.

-and lastly the fifth kit! Cloudkit who later becomes Cloudblossom! She is blind if you can’t tell lol. This is seen as a punishment from starclan for having kits with one of the biggest threats Starclan and the forest had ever seen. Though she was born blind because of her genetics- she is probably going to be that one cat that is so quiet and observant that she seems like a Starclan cat watching the clans. - Was a medicine cat but become a warrior after joining her mother in Thornclan. Still has a connection to Starclan that no other cat understands.

Oh gosh uh. Probably the chosen cats in TNP. You never really see them grow to enjoy each other's company? Except for when it's for romance, like Crowpaw and Feathertail or Stormfur and Brambleclaw.

Hollyclaw: share headcanon for a name

Oakheart's name was almost Oakface, since he's one of the most handsome toms in RiverClan, but it was changed as he was also one of the bravest warriors.. Ironically, -face was also almost Fireheart's name, as silly as Fireface sounds, and was changed for the same reason. Some cats speculated if Fireheart was named after Lionheart.

The eldest kit of Sunsong and Concrete, and Goldsand’s only littermate, Oakface is a skilled medicine cat who cares deeply for his Clan and the other Clans around him.

Backstory: Oakface was an eager apprentice, but he couldn’t help but feel out of place when training for future battles. He suppressed his feelings for many moons before finally confronting his mentor and leader. Icefoot was happy to welcome the young tom into the medicinal field, and the two got along well, even forming a close bond with age. Unfortunately, Oakface felt a massive amount of guilt for not training alongside his lonely sister and somehow believed he failed his previous mentor— now of course this was all in his head, but the gnawing anxiety disrupted his life.

He began wandering at night to distract his busy mind, and accidentally crossed paths with a BloodClan patrol on the outskirts of their territory.

Seeing the large tom as a threat, the vicious warriors attacked him without hesitation and left poor Oakface with a terrible wound running over both his shoulders. This injury seemed to confirm his position as a healer.

Some of his clanmates pitied the youngster, but he insisted that this event only made him feel more confident with his choice to follow in Icefoot’s footsteps; in fact, he saw it as an enlightening sign from StarClan that he was on the right path for his own destiny.

I wanna talk about my OC!! Her name is Adderclaw she's a bisexual Manx from shadowclan she's kind of a passive-aggressive dickhead. Her father is leader so she gets special treatment a lot which pisses off the rest of the clan. She also has a habit of dragging hot kittypets to camp. Athena was a kittypet and Adderclaws first gf but died not long after joining because of illness. Oakface is Adderclaws current mate and he kind of stands out amongst the other shadowclan cats because he's lanky.

Adderclaw just wants to love and also have everything is that so much 2 ask for?
