headcanon that back in their first year, satoru came across some friendship necklaces or bracelets and immediately decided to buy three of them for himself, shoko, and suguru. the latter two wore them reluctantly, but secretly liked the idea of connection.
even after everything that happened throughout their school lives, you can still spot each of them wearing their respective necklace/bracelet if you look close enough, seemingly unable to let go of what was and could have been.

thinking about Armand giving in to his weakness every few years or so and returning to Daniel for a night or two, and sometimes Daniel even remembers, and when he does, he thrashes in Armand's embrace and hurls insults at him bc clearly it's Armand's fault that he's being such a shitty husband to the wife he once claimed to love and a shitty dad to the kids he never wanted, and for a night or two he can pretend that the fault lies not in him just being a shitty person sometimes who cares more about his work than the family he created; and Armand, of course, believes his words bc clearly he poisoned Daniel from the inside so irrevocably that now he can’t form any lasting bonds with other mortals, and it doesn't even occur to him that it might just be your ex lashing out at you bc he's angry and still so very, very heartbroken at being dumped bc maybe, just maybe he still loves you and has, despite being forced to forget you ever existed, not stopped loving you even once
