Hi I bring forth new art of her! And extra lore! This horrid woman means a lot to me and it'd mean a lot if she wins just one round 🥺

Here are some extra facts about her story that might help sway your opinion on how abhorrent she is:

She only allows herself to speak to the priests down on earth, not wanting any of the opinions or ideas of the other Virtues (holy gods) to "taint" her values that are established amongst the virtuists on earth.

Tried to pressure her little sister Thena into killing one of the Hedons (unholy gods) and his son for her to prove her loyalty, and when she refused to, exiled her.

Uses her hypnosis magic often to hide any slip-ups of hers/easily get others to do what she wishes without question.

Pressures her husband into working past his limits, leaving him constantly exhausted and extremely burnt out after constantly working on heavenly documents.

Upon finding out her husband was secretly visiting the Hedons to socialize with them in private, she threatened to exile him if he didn't speak to them and state that he would never visit again.

huge fren I think mainly Gula is a menace to harvests and cattle, but if it can't get well fed on whats found in villages - it will snack on mortals You can escape Gula's neverending hunger only by offering it a lot of food once in a while, but it will come back for more

I hyperfixated on a vocaloid song and a friend of mine decided to design me a Grox oc based off of it... So I drew her.

this is extremely messy and certainly overdue BUT sin fam relationship chart!!

some notes (but not everything) under the cut

hybris is kinda similar to acedia in that she doesn't have particularly strong or notable feelings towards most of her family, at least not in ways that can be properly summarized. but she's oddly ok with avi's Everything, and she dislikes envy specifically because she thinks he's way stupider than he should be, and she dislikes lux because she thinks she's "filthy." (in truth, she doesn't like lux because she thinks that lux, by nature, is an incredible sort of being, and she's frustrated that her personality is what it is, and that lux "wastes" her abilities on pointless, "dirty" things)

avi thinks she and lux are lowkey besties, but lux is just kinda meh about avi--which, to be fair, is better than p much everyone else, who can't stand avi. notably, avi isn't fazed by acedia's lifestyle or what's happened to them--she says they had it coming, but it's fun that they kill so many humans

envy's a coward and he'd admit it after some whining, but he'd risk everything for gula and ira--maybe even others of his siblings

ira can't truly hate any of his family, but he is displeased with avi for actively harming others of their kind; they should at least leave each other alone, if they're not going to leave humankind alone

lux used to want to be close with acedia--in private, she's kinda in mourning about what they used to be. she's also meh about gula because, while she thinks she's cute/charming, she doesn't understand why she won't give in to her natural urges, like eating humans. if gula ever came to her to ask for help with that kind of thing, she'd be happy to mentor her baby sis

gula isn't even really a weakling but boy does most of her family make her super nervous!!!! she even used to be scared of ira, until getting closer with envy made her closer with ira too

having strong feelings about anybody takes a lot of energy, and acedia doesn't care enough to do so. pretty much everyone don't even feel like "family" to them. but they'll always, always be ready to call out hybris for being a terrible mother.

😭 CRYING - what makes them cry? do they cry easily?

for patience and ira :)

For Patience:

Two major things can get her to cry: Rejection, and any sort of harm coming to her daughter. She tries to not cry often, especially in the public eye, because she tries her very hardest to keep up a happy and calm persona! If that ever falters, though, she makes sure to do it in private.

Really one of her most major times of crying was when the reapers disowned her, to be honest? Because they tried explaining to her that her atrocities were horrendous, but her own selfishness and pride kept her from wanting to see their side of things, so her only source of guidance and higher protection essentially disowning her hit her hard.

Idk if it counts, but an example of positive crying was when her daughter was born! She loves her baby at least!

For Ira:

Similar for him, but in this case, harm coming to any of his family can make him cry! He tends to try to hide his crying too, but not to seem perfect, just so he can seem strong for his family since he's viewed as the 'oldest and strongest big brother/father/uncle' and wants to keep his composure around everyone; he's not the best at keeping it hidden, though, and always appreciates it when his loved ones comfort him.

When their family was in danger due to their brother and nephew being kidnapped, they absolutely cried a lot because they weren't sure if those two would make it out alive, and that terrified them. He was more than relieved when things ended up fine and had a cathartic cry with his whole family when they were all reunited.

As I did with Patience, an example of them positively crying is actually pretty common — they have a hearty laugh, and sometimes it'll bring them to tears a lil bit!

Kanae's 100+ follower event (format based off of @theolivetree123's Welcome to Halloween Town event ^^) The Evil’s Theater, a small theater, in the Queendom of Roses, is hosting their first musical of Seven Sins and Punishments. Originally, the theater was created by a man known as the Collector, he only screened a single film. After he passed the theater fell into disarray, but luckily, it was brought back to life by some very generous donations. And now they have reached out to NRC to extend an invitation for its students to be the leads of their first musical! The lucky students will take on the roles of the Sinners in a fantastical story of life, death and rebirth. There will be seven students to fill the roles of the main Sinners, and a raffle to be held to pick the crucial role of the Servant, a hidden eighth Sinner. And the lead roles are… Superbia - Kanae (The Daughter) Invidia - Riddle (The Tailor) Ira - Jade (The Nemesis) Acedia - Epel (The Princess) Avaritia - Idia (The Judge) Gula - Deuce (The Eater) Luxuria - Silver (The Duke)

After the musical, there's going to be an after party, Waltz of the Departed. Feel free to partake in the snacks and drinks, dance or not to your hearts content. How you enjoy the party is up to you!

Raffle!!

The raffle for the Servant will be held from Sep 8th to Sept 29th. The Servant is a very important role, you can't have the tale of the Daughter without her loyal servant! I will use a wheel picker to choose the lucky character, and will draw Kanae and the chosen character 𑁍
