Meet Jeter Lancaster, the love interest/supporting character to Emalia. (used to be Jeter Nyland, but thanks to some plot arrangements, he has a different name. The two were never related, of course, but he took her name in order to become "part of the house".) Some little facts about Jeter; ~ A well know doctor, one of the best in his field. He can be titled as an Orthopedic surgeon, as well as an infectious disease specialist. ~ As an automaton, Jeter's sense of sight and his memory are better than a humans. This is perfect for his line of work, able to spot problems way faster than someone else would. ~ Level-headed, precise and charismatic, it is rather easy for Jeter to gain the trust of others. He's loyal and confident, all around a people person. ~ Trained in self-defense. Extremely skilled with a pistol, but only ever uses it to keep himself safe. He is rarely ever the person to draw first, unless the attacker is clearly going to wound someone. ~ Became a teacher to Henderson Balgraven, teaching the young man everything he knows about Healthcare. Mermaids vs. Sirens

I know I reblogged a post about this already, but there’s also another large difference between mermaids and sirens. There’s also a popular misconception about the two that I’m going to clear up!

The main difference between sirens and mermaids is their appearance.

The image below is what a siren is:

Sirens are half-bird, half-human.

Sirens have wings, and most texts describe them as having the body of a bird, usually a vulture. Their head, in some cases, turns into the person the victim loves most. Others say they lure victims with singing and music.

A siren’s goal is to lure victims, like sailors or pirates, towards them. Sirens will live on cliffsides facing the ocean so when their victim jumps overboard to follow their lure, they drown in the dangerous waters.

Mermaids are half-sea creature, half-human.

Though mermaids are usually drawn with the bottom half of a fish, they are sometimes drawn with the bottom of an octopus, sea horse, or any other sea creature.

Not all mermaids are depicted as the same. Some mermaids are playful and flirty and some sink ships out of vengeance. Several myths claim that mermaids can even be accidentally dangerous: they forget that humans need air to live and drag them down into the ocean, drowning them.

Mermaids (generally) have no goals or purposes. Of course, some harbor harsh grudges against humans and make it their job in life to kill as many as they can, most just frolic aimlessly and play with humans.

Before you go on to make your mermaid or siren OC, be careful to avoid this mistake: mermaids and sirens are not interchangeable. A popular misconception is that mermaids lure victims to drown with their music, out of petty vengeance. While mermaids can be dangerous, it is generally a siren who lures victims with music.

We would love to have you on board! As for someone with that type of background, I would certainly suggest a bodyguard as the most obvious choice first. Secondary idea would be to have them actually as a contract, but an action star. All of that experience with firearms and the correct training for intense situations? Perfect.

My OCs #1: Shiro and Sachihiro Hasegawa

Shiro Hasegawa and Sachihiro Hasegawa are twins who are students at a high ranking academy, much like U.A. High School, but is located near Kyoto. They were accepted through official recommendations to train to become Pro heroes.

Shiro Hasegawa

Shiro Hasegawa is the younger twin brother of Sachihiro Hasegawa. They are first year highschool students.

Shiro Hasegawa is relatively tall for his age. He has relatively long hair sticking out in and upward, neat direction. He also appears to have unique charm that makes girl students swoon around him. He also appears to have an outstanding, impressive physique. However, he only focuses on his studies, as well as becoming a renowned Pro Hero. He only considers it as an "distraction" and "Something Sachihiro would take interest on."

Shiro originally has a cold, aloof personality. But recently, Shiro has learned to be more sociable, having new friends and becoming more open and closer to them. He also occasionally smiles, though his laugh resembles that of a villain.

Despite his usual reserved demeanor, Shiro did initially possess a mild level of arrogance, which, combined with his solitary tendencies, sometimes made him take the initiative without considering the opinions of others, as he was confident that he could take on any obstacles with his own strength. He used to be much more unfriendly as well, to the point of causing someone to resent him.

Sometimes he is stubborn, but he always takes his brother's advices and suggestions in mind, even if they are sometimes just "Sachihiro's dumb thoughts."

Shiro is undeniably the strongest among his classmates, but he also tends to share this enhanced physical durability with his brother. He has enhanced endurance, enhanced durabilty, enhanced agility, and keen intellect.

He had the third highest score in the midterms from 1-A (in their school), being behind Sachihiro, his twin brother, who scored the 2nd highest. This shows he is very skilled in his academics.

Tsunami, or as he Sachihiro calls it 'shi-nami', is Shiro's quirk that gives him hydrokinesis. His special move, as the quirk name suggests, is a powerful tsunami wave-like attack, called Tidal Blast. Shiro's quirk has no drawbacks ever been recorded since his quirk manifested.

Trivias:

Shiro's given name means 'fourth child', which he is since he is the fourth son and child of Mr. Hasegawa, his father. Hasegawa is a common Japanese surname.

Shiro's family is consisted of him, his twin brother Sachihiro, his older brother Shouta (not to be confused with Mr. Aizawa), and his older sister Sakura.

Shiro's favorite food is oyakodon.

Shiro's birthday is on January 2, and he is the fourth youngest in the class, taking in account that every other student at their school was 15 at the start of the high school year.

His height is 5'9.

His hero name is "Tsunami", as stated by Sachihiro. "Tsunami! That's it! That should totally be your hero name! Can you please do it??? Please???"

Even if he has agreed on everyone calling him Tsunami, he still wants to think of another one.

His eyes are dark brown.

His blood type is O.

His fighting style is Long Range Combat.

Sachihiro Hasegawa

Sachihiro Hasegawa is the older brother of Shiro Hasegawa. They are first year highschool students.

Sachihiro is relatively tall for his age. He has a messy, relatively long hair, sticking out upwards.

Sachihiro is a friendly, social and energetic boy. While he is rather casual when interacting with others, Sachihiro also becomes quickly distraught when put into stressful situations. He may come off as blunt and reckless sometimes, but is always well-meaning.

Denki is somewhat flirtatious towards the girls of his class (and even the ones from other classes), trying to pass himself off as a smooth talker. He is very lucky too, to have everyone almost chasing him. He and his brother have somewhat of a magical charm among highschool girls. Although, he does seem to have a steady friendship with ??? and ???. He is also slightly mischievous, joining in pranks occasionally. But when apprehended, mostly by his younger brother who acts older than him, he stops and tries not to do it again to not upset his little brother, or everyone. Sachihiro may have a cool front among his other friends, but inside he is a very intimate and sometimes passionate, caring person. He is sometimes mistaken by bypassers and ordinary people as a popular idol group member.

Sachihiro may not appear as academically bright, but it is quite the contrary. He is an overall class achiever, alongside his quiet and reserved brother. In midterms, he achieved the second place, along with his younger brother at third. At times, he helps his fellow classmates and friends requiring urgent help when it comes to studying. He can also show surprising knowledge about certain areas such as literature, history, art and music, possessing a large vocabulary.

Sachihiro is also strong, as he also share this enhanced physical durability with his brother. He has enhanced endurance, enhanced durabilty, enhanced agility, and keen intellect as well.

Hurricane, is the name of Sachihiro's quirk, giving him aerokinesis. His special move is a powerful hurricane-like attack, call Hariken-go. Like his brother, there was no record of any drawbacks from his quirk since it has manifested.

His special move's name may be inspired by what he typically says when he launches his attack. "Hariken, Go!"

His quirk is very similar to Inasa Yoarashi, although Sachihiro can do other quirk-based activities without any help from his costume.

Sachihiro can walk and fly in air. He can also fake Levitation using air as a lift.

His attacks can affect the weather if he used up his maximum strength.

Trivias:

Sachihiro's name means "broad happiness", which may be because of his personality, or his family's undescribable happiness due to him and his twin brother's birth.

This may be the fact that Sachihiro and Shiro are the first and only twins from the Hasegawa clan.

Sachihiro's favorite food is sukiyaki.

Sachihiro's birthday is also on January 2, alongside with his twin brother, and he is the fifth youngest in the class, taking in account that every other student at their school was 15 at the start of the high school year.

His height is 5'9.

His hero name is "Windblaster". Even if Shiro doesn't approve of his hero name, he is still proud of it. His big brother Shouta has taken a liking on it too.

His eyes are dark brown.

His blood type is O.

His fighting style is also Long Range Combat.

Twin Facts:

Sachihiro and Shiro have contrasting tastes, like in music and fashion, but they get along with food and choice of friends.

Sometimes, when Sachihiro is the main initiator of fights from middle school, Shiro is the one to talk him out of it and apologize to the one being hurt. The main fight could be about how many All Might trade cards each one has or what quirk is better than the other. Sachihiro also gets hit by Shiro in the nape after these fights back in middle school.

Their academic scores swap constantly, and sometimes tie.

They created a joint attack called "Stormbreaker", which combines both Shiro's Tidal Blast and Sachihiro's Hariken-go. It's a very powerful attack that is only used against powerful and dangerous villains. Also, it has never been used in an actual fight, rather only inside campus. The destruction was very high scale that one eight of their school's building and the training hall they were demonstrating it was blown in to pieces. This shows that their powers can have big and powerful effects. They also sent their training advisor to the hospital for multiple injuries.

They seem to be off from a very influential, high-class family, with its business mostly based in the northern parts of Japan, mainly Hokkaido.
