i always think about how callum yells "no" in 3x09 the second that rayla starts running, like he already knows precisely what she's going to do, and is already horrified by it
Watching Bai Lang realize and face how empty he's made his life to accommodate his anxiety is painful to say the least. To watch him explain how he's avoided connections, avoided making meaningful friendships and loving people just to try to protect his fear of loss... and then to tell Xun'an about how wonderful first loves are when we know that Xun'an is his first love. It's that pain of rejecting first to not be hurt, of never accepting anything more because it might end badly, that agony of refusing anything more because anything more might mean something and meaning something might hurt and that hurt is never worth it.
Even for love.
Especially for love. Because love is the scariest loss of all.
when he fully acknowledges how powerful she is and encourages her to use that power to her advantage and still treats her like the most precious thing on earth>>>
I’ve just read the novelisation of the Giggle and the ending has me on my knees - it goes into much more detail than the show so guess what
THE DOCTOR BOUGHT THAT HOUSE
THAT IS HIS HOUSE
He chose it, he went to an estate agents and said I want this pretty house’, offered them £60, then rang Kate Stewart and discovered he was getting paid by UNIT this whole time, was able to afford the house/mortgage and BOUGHT THAT HOUSE
The Nobles still have a house in London but they STAY WITH THE DOCTOR NEARLY ALL THE TIME
He chose the house with a sunroom so WILF COULD LIVE DOWNSTAIRS COMFORTABLY
have realized that while i am not a fan necessarily of "people meet and immediately fall in love" i am a fan of "people meet and are immediately obsessed with each other." the love can come later but the absolute fixation should be immediate
I love that he had to keep both his hands pinned down so the only possible way to silence him with was a kiss through the scarf. Glorious. Thank you for that, Jiu. I also deeply appreciate that you couldn't kill him.
Even though Frodo’s torment lasted for weeks/months to Celebrian’s hours/days, on Frodo’s worst days, he can still hold on to her, because she understands when he needs to be held/physically comforted and when he needs space, when he wants to talk and when he just wants to be distracted, or sit in silence.
Rosie tries to do the same for Sam, because he has trauma too, but they can’t bond over that the same way Frodo and Celebrian do (even though Sam and Rosie love each other to the end of the world and back). Maybe Merry, Pippin, Fredegar and Samwise have a Traumatized Hobbit Therapy Club? Maybe Arwen helps with that?
