#AUGHH. I’m still in physical therapy btw.#I was doing p good for a while until I sat in the car for a 5 hour round trip and that fucked my back up SO bad #So I relapsed. And my pain has been Bad for the past couple weeks #Not nearly as bad as it was at the beginning but my pain levels are back up #Which makes me so MAD bc I was at the point where I barelyyy felt it #SIGHS #Well. I’m getting dry needling done tomorrow and that should help #Not SUPER fond of the idea of needles getting poked into my back but at this point I’ll do anything #My therapist says everyone who’s done it under his care has felt a lot better afterwards #And I trust his judgement so.#I’ll be poked and prodded at tomorrow morning lol #I just want this to be over. god im so glad i got smt iv and decided to go in blind

#that game is so good easily one of my favorites of all time #smt iv #salty talks #ive been thinking abt it and wanting to talk abt it bc. ough #that games setting is so fucking good and so well done. i really didnt expect where it would go and how it would use its setting #even tho i know the ost names and listened to them. and that game knocked me flat on my ass like three times my first time through #god i love the setting of smt iv i love how you get exactly as much information as the mc does i love how naturally you learn abt the world #entering the ueno undergeound district without yet understanding what tokyo’s deal was waa so cool #also the combat is p satisfying and a good challenge and i like the main characters and the plot is rlly good #i havent gotten all the endings yet either wo i still dont fully understand whats going on and im so eager to see what im missing #its just. god its such a good game. even when it drags with level grinding and just wandering around its fun #also old gamefaqs forum threads and w/e abt smt iv i would be lost in naraku w/o you god there are so many essential smt iv guides there #its just. god smt iv. i have literally not interest in checking out apocalypse lol. but oh my god smt iv

kitten acquisition is likely actually happening this weekend

i think i am going to get one orange male and one calico female

now i have to pick names (which i am being indecisive about lol) and schedule spay/neuter and other basic vet things which is unexpectedly stressful hnnnng

#i will post pics when i get them!!#i haven't seen them since they were like 2-3 weeks old so i'm still picturing them as tiny babies #but they are bigger now lol #i feel bad just kinda arbitrarily picking which ones i'm gonna take but uhhh that's life i guess #i have a list of like 15 vet clinics to call tomorrow morning to see if i can find one that has a reasonable price for spays and neuters #had no idea it was so expensive rip #the one i called today said 'oh we can't give you an estimate until you bring them in for an appointment first'#so idk if they're all going to say that and i'm going to have to pick one and go in blind #and hope they don't charge me $300 each #hrrg oh well #it will work out!!#WE ARE NOT GOING TO CREATE MORE KITTENS!!!!!!#p

I think that one of the reasons Lawlight would click so well as a couple is because Light would intuitively understand L and how to motivate him and disagree with him in a way that wouldn't automatically end their relationship (because L is so stubborn and cryptic and opinionated that oftentimes that IS what would happen with L if you strongly disagreed with him or tried to tell him what to do). Something like flirting with and flattering L and enticing him into doing something for a fun or sexy or funny or interesting reason, or turning things around on him so that he felt like he was rebelling against you or proving you wrong instead of trying to please you, or simply just acting unimpressed and aloof and disinterested in what L decides one way or the other in a situation where he isn't behaving how Light wants him to... these tactics would probably work on L much better than begging or nagging or outright bossing him around

#i hate to explain why i know this but it's because #he acts exactly like my dad lol #and i have a lot of that personality in me as well tbh #i dated somebody like light before and that definitely was the best way to make me obey #if he is left feeling like the decision is totally his own and he just might miss out on something fun if he doesnt make the decision #you want him to then he will probably start being like oh maybe i SHOULD be doing that #i dont know why i am giving hot tips on the best way to manipulate me tbh but there you go anyways lol #l lawliet #light yagami #lawlight #p

Minthara does not have any specific commentary about the business with the Emperor and Orpheus, but she does have a LOT to say about the Astral Tadpole.

"The Emperor has offered us a special tadpole. We'll become partial mind flayers, but we'll get great powers in turn..."

Minthara nods gravely. "We will need every advantage to survive the battles that are to come, and my illithid parasite has already shown its worth. If this superior tadpole is capable of unlocking my mind's full potential, it is a tempting proposition."

Her eyes narrow and she looks at Rakha with sudden, uncharacteristic intensity.

"Its influence on you is plain to see," she murmurs. "You are sublime."

After her at best cautious conversation on the subject with Wyll, not to mention Lae'zel's active hostility to her decision, Rakha is visibly startled by this fervent support from Minthara:

She has significant doubts that anyone else in their little party will want to subject themselves to the astral tadpole's effects - and deep down, so deep she doesn't acknowledge it even to herself, she suspects they might have a point - so she's not going to keep it away from Minthara if Minthara wants it.

At least then she won't be alone with this choice.

"Use it," she agrees with a slight nod. "Become greater." If greater it is.

Minthara's eyes narrow with sudden determination.

"I will be unstoppable," she murmurs.

Rakha watches impassively as Minthara consumes the tadpole, as her body spasms, as her eyes widen, suddenly deep and black, experiencing the same feeling of power and certainty that flooded Rakha back in the Astral Plane.

Neither of them says anything further - but perhaps they don't need to. The connecting bond of the tadpole between them is stronger than ever, a subtle overlap of thought and feeling.
