Girl, (your the one I want)

a/n- this is a scene in a book that I just finished reading and it was my favorite scene in the book so I just decided to write it with Wilbur:) enjoy!

Warnings// swearing, kissing, cheesy fluff, brushing each others teeth, tell me if I missed anything:0)

Wilbur was rarely home at nights. And if he was, it was later at night, usually near midnight. But tonight was different. The band all agreed to take a day off and to just sit back and relax. So all you and Wilbur did today was wake up late, cuddle and watch movies together and bake cookies (you had to make an agreement with him).

But after you and Wil watch one last movie and had dinner, you both decided to go to sleep early so you both could get up early tomorrow morning. As the movie ended, you started to get up out of Wilbur’s hold, but got held back by Wilbur’s arms wrapping around you tighter.

“Nooo! Please don’t leave. You’re warm and cozy.” Wilbur whined as you finally got out of his loving hold.

“Wil, I’m not sleeping on the coach. And plus I need to wash my face and brush my teeth. So it’s either you can sleep on the coach or you can follow me and get ready for bed with me. Your choice.” You said as you walked down the hallway to your guy’s shared room.

You heard him groan, and soon enough you heard the patter of feet on the hardwood flooring, making quick strides to catch up with you. Soon enough, you were being lifted off the ground by arms wrapped around your waist from behind, carrying you to the bathroom as you laughed.

“Wilbur put me down!” You laughed as you both finally reached the bathroom. Wilbur put you down but quickly lifted you up and placed you on the sink. Wilbur came really close to your face and put your noses together.

You giggled. “Hello my love.” You said as you placed your hands on the back of his neck.

“Hehe, you look like a bug. My little lady bug!” Wilbur said in a high pitched voice as he started to tickle your sides.

“No! No, no, no! Wilbur, please! Haha! Truce, truce!” You laughed as you squirmed in his embrace. Wilbur quickly stopped tickling you and smiled at you. You smiled back at him and rubbed your noses together in an eskimo kiss.

“I love you.” You said to him. He giggled and licked your nose as you scrunched it.

“I love you more, ok let’s go I need to brush my teeth.” He said, clapping his hands in a chop chop manner.

You gawk at him in disbelief. “Oh hell no! You don’t get to do that.” You told him as he laughed and put his hands up in surrender.

“Ok, ok! Im sorry, now can I please brush my teeth?” He asked you, kissing your hands.

You went to move out of the way, but you quickly stopped yourself and smirked. You always meant to tell Wilbur about this thing you read in a book you read a couple weeks ago. But he was never home so you never got the chance, but now, now you can. “How about we brush each others teeth?” You asked him.

He raised his eyebrows and had an amused grin on his face. “Now where’d this come from?” He asked as he looked at you as you grabbed his tooth brush.

“A book. I found it cute and I wanted to try it out.” You said while getting his tooth brush ready and handing him your toothbrush. He smiled and hummed in agreement.

“Ok, but be prepared to move out of the way.” Wil warned.

You saluted back at him and brought his tooth brush up. “Ahhh.” You said, as if you were talking to a little kid. He laughed and opened his mouth as he also started to brush your teeth. “A, B, C, D, E-“

“What are you doing?!” Wilbur laughed as you continued to brush his teeth.

“I’m singing the alphabet obviously. “ you said as best as you could and rolling your eyes.

“Not the sass.” Wilbur replied back as you both laughed.

“F, I, J, K-“

“L, M, N, O, P.” Wilbur started singing with you.

“Q,R,S-“ you said as your motioned for Wilbur to continue.

“T,U,V” Wilbur continued as he giggled.

“W, X, Y, and Z. Now I know my A, B , C’s! Next time won’t you sing with meeee!” You sang as you finished brushing each others teeth. You quickly got down from the counter and let Wilbur go first. Soon after it was your turn.

After you were both done, you grabbed your face wash and quickly put your hair up. As you did you felt hands on your waist and looked up.

“What?” You asked as you looked at him.

“Nothing you just look really beautiful.” He said as he put his chin in the crook of your neck and left a kiss there. You quickly looked down fro his gaze to hide your flushed face.

“Are you going to wash your face? You should.” You said looking at him.

He furrowed his eyebrows. “What’s that supposed to mean?!” He asked, faking an offended tone.

“Noo! I didn’t mean it like that! I just meant it’s good for your skin and everything.” You said as you grabbed a hair tie for Wilbur just in case he said yes.

“I know love. And yes, I would love too.” He said squeezing you tightly.

“Ok now let me put up your hair!” You said turning around.

Wilbur quickly moved away from you as he put a hand up to stop you. “Absolutely not!”

“Wil! Your hair is like a fucking lions mane!” You laughed at him.

“And it’s going to stay that way until the EP comes out darling.” Wilbur finishes as he leans in to kiss you.

You kiss him back and pull away to look at him. “Yeah but once it’s out, we’re getting rid of this.” You said as you ran your hands through his hair.

Wilbur smiled down at you. “That’s fine with me love.” He said, as he kissed you one last time. “Ok now can we please hurry up so I can go to bed?!”

“Screw you.”

028. To "study"

As you walk inside the building you’ve always admired, you see Scaramouche on his phone, doing whatnot. There were many instances where you passed by Komore Teahouse and saw so many people chatting and laughing while drinking their pastries and tea. This time, it was dead empty.

“Scara.” You call.

“Hey, [Name].” He greets you, putting his phone down.

“So, how do you plan on studying?” You ask him.

“Active recall. Kazuha gave me a list of expected words to see in the competition. Here.” He gives you your own copy. Now looking at the list, it was what you’re studying before by yourself. 

“Seems pretty easy. Though, I think it’s also safe to study words that might be on there. This school just loves giving surprises.” You say, setting down your paper.

“Alright, I’ll ask you to spell some words and you do the same, ok?” He says, scanning the paper full of words uncommon to see in a normal sentence.

“Sure sure.” He takes both your paper and his and puts it on the side. You both have decent memory, you’ll be able to name quite a few.

“Ok, spell controversy.” Easy.

“C-o-n-t-r-o-v-e-r-s-y.” You say with such ease present in your voice.

“Alright, Scara. Spell manoeuvre.” Is this child’s play?

“M-a-n-o-e-u-v-r-e for the British spelling, m-a-n-e-u-v-e-r for the American spelling.” His cockiness only fuels his ego, as if his isn’t already high enough.

“Hm, So we’re doing this now, Kunikuzushi?” To say that he was caught off-guard was an understatement. Nevertheless, he pays no mind.

“[Name], spell autochthonous.” 

“You just give me the easiest words to spell, no? A-u-t-o-c-h-t-h-o-n-o-u-s.” You tilt your head ever so slightly, smiling teasingly, almost smirking. 

“So what if I do, [Name]?” 

“I need a challenge. That competition is no joke. Spell, hmm. Chiaroscurist.” (for those who don’t know how to pronounce it, “ki-ya-ros-kyu-rist”!)

“Oh, uhm.” He was unfamiliar with that word, but he doesn’t want to be the first one who gets a word wrong. Sound it out, maybe?

“K-”

“Haha, wrong!” You rejoice in victory after hearing that single letter. It feels like you’ve been wanting for him to get it wrong. 

“I’m sure you’re not that perfect. Spell supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.” 

“You really show no mercy, huh? S-u-p-e-r-c-a-l-i-f-r-a-g-i-l-i-s-t-i-c-e-x-p-i-a-l-i-d-o-c-i-o-u-s. Unlucky for you, I know almost every word in the English vocabulary.” Right, your mom made you read the dictionary. At this point, he’s so close to giving up. Isn’t this supposed to be a study session, not an unofficial competition?

“Though, I’m sure they’re not going to put the longest word in the world. Well, maybe one, but towards the end.” You say, staring out the window of the sunny day.

“Huh? Towards the end? How does the spelling bee work?” He asks, obviously confused.

“It works like all are in our own individual teams with buttons in front of us. If you know how to spell the word, you get 100 points, if you spell the word wrong, you lose 50 points. The scores will be tallied up and there will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Runner’s up will be an honorable mention, but no rewards will be given.” You explain how the competition works. So, there’s no teams, hm? He’s satisfied he doesn’t have to work with people.

“Any more questions?” You ask him, hoping to answer his inquiries. 

“Yeah. You’re pretty, has anyone ever kissed you?”

“Ah! Uhm, no. Why?” You’re flustered. Why the hell would he ask that?

“Then… Let me be the first, hm?” 

“What?-” You barely processed what he said before he leaned over from the other side of the table, smashing his lips into yours. Your eyes widen, what the fuck? You couldn't even do anything before he pulled away and immediately asks you. “[Name], spell anachronistic.”

“I- Uhm. A-...n-a-k? I think?” you’re too flustered to even think. 

“Hm. Incorrect. What happened to “I know almost every word in the English vocabulary”?” It was his turn to smirk, cocky bastard.

“Hey, you did that on purpose!” You retort back.

“Hm, did I?” Scaramouche didn’t want to say, but he was also rather surprised at his actions. Impulsive or intrusive, you didn’t know.

Neytiri’s song!!!! I connected with her so much in that moment!! What a perfect way to recapture the first movie’s events!! Also her sentiment... her love for her people... her grief. She suffers so much.

That moment where Lo’ak swims into Payakan’s gaping mouth. Whoa.

The use of the color yellow in connection with Kiri. She’s like a warm hug. I love that so much about her and about that artistic choice

the Ikran riding was nothing short of SPECTACULAR. I could have watched that endlessly.

I don’t like the boys being “military sons” because I can’t connect with that. To me, Jake was being way too hard on them. He was mad at them the entire time, yet didn’t look out for them at all. I mean, what was HE doing during all the time the kids spent training to be underwater?? He wasn’t devising any defense tactics, he was just like absent from the plot??? He didn’t even really try to fight back too?

visuals were STUNNING, music was underperforming. It’s like they didn’t even bother to write a new score. that was disappointing...

SPIDER IS EVERYTHING. I know it looks like he’s not doing anything most of the time but that’s exactly the point! He’s a stray. He serves no purpose, no one wants him, yet he exists. He spends his time watching and observing how the circumstances he grew up in came to be. It happened before his time, so he’s trying to make sense of everyone’s point of view. And then he ACTS and it becomes clear that he was never going to betray the Sullys and I’m like aaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!

The underwater breathing butterflies... I WANT ONE.

Poor Kiri suffers much too... I wish she got some explanations.

Neteyam’s burial... I cried. I hate that Jake was waking up to his other kids’ existence only when they lost the eldest son. I’ll say it again, Jake was being way too hard on his boys and weirdly soft with the girls. Bleh. But that “I see you” he spoke to Lo’ak...that was the beginning of something awesome. One of the few emotionally powerful moments of the film.

I love that the battle against Quaritch’s clone happened rather spontaneously like “ok then let’s get this over with” lol. Also with knives only. So intimate. The one-on-one wrestling was so much more personal than a machine gun standoff could have been!!

The Sully kids saved both their parents’ sanity and Idk what to think about that. Yes they have been through a lot. No it should be the other way round - the parents taking care of and comforting the kids that were ripped from their home.

NEYTIRI’S WRATH IS A WHOLE AESTHETIC IN ITSELF TO ME. It was unexpected but so rewarding. It makes sense to me why she would choose this and it’s epic to watch. That moment where Spider hides from her - ,,, AUUUGHHHHH

Also the moment Spider fights back with a fire extinguisher lol. I love how he has both human and Na’vi characteristics. He’s a kid of both worlds and will use the environment around him accordingly.

The moment Lo’ak woke up on Payakan’s back. Also the moment where the tulkun shoots the water fountain and Lo’ak goes like “that’s disgusting” XD

The Metkayina were suuuuuuuuper pretty!!!!!!!! Also tattooed tulkuns WOOWWW!!!!!!

I LOVED the open dislike between Neytiri and Ronal!!! RARELY do you see two women hiss at each other DUUUDE

I’m gonna be really, really honest about something and I hope I won’t track hate for it... look, the use of sign language underwater was obviously really smart. However. I would have much preferred more Na’vi being spoken instead. I felt the use of sign language was introduced too early and too prominently. Like, this could have been cool in the third movie. But I basically hoped for the entire movie to be spoken in Na’vi. I came for the Na’vi, not for sign language. Sure, it could be interpreted as naturally overwhelming to the viewer as it must have been overwhelming to the Sullys... but it should have been addressed as overwhelming then. They adapted more or less seamlessly, the audience didn’t. ...yeah.

It was so good seeing Grace again. Sosososososososo good. 

So many plot holes in the overall movie lol

I missed Norm. And Trudy. I’m really mad that Trudy died.

Having a female officer/General whatever lead the RDA’s evil campaign this time was refreshing though.

The callback to Neytiri’s arrows and that fateful day where she shot Quaritch was really great. I love how he hunted HER, too. 

Leaving all the scrap metal and the corpses from the first battle to rot in the forest felt really insulting to the planet of Pandora and to the Na’vi lifestyle though. Like... would you really want your kids to randomly stumble upon skeletons??? Sure they possibly couldn’t find every dead body to bury, and their priority must have been the Omaticaya casualties, but it seems really disrespectful to the humans AND to the forest to just... leave everything an open battlefield. I’m sure the military base could have recycled the scrap metal, using it for repairs on their technology. Since they were kinda cut off from terran supply ships now, they must have kept their breathing, living and research equipment up to date somehow. And the forest deserved to be natural/untouched again. It shouldn’t have become a constant reminder of what went down. Anyway...

At first, I was a little bit confused by the long aesthetic, atmospheric sequences of the movie. Like, where’d all the action go? But somehow, it was relieving to not have constant battle disturb the visual feast and the relational developments. The Sullys got a little time to regroup. To breathe. Which is a main theme in this movie. I’m glad the action came just in time and didn’t disappoint. The director chose a different narrative structure this time and it confused the heck out of the audience. But the more I let it sink in, it was the perfect choice!!! It’s what we wanted and needed!!!
