Lemme set the scene

You and your girlfriend Kate had finally moved out to Amsterdam, took a lot of planning and over a year of saving up but you did it. As soon as the covid restrictions had lifted you were looking for plane tickets. Working from home during the pandemic allowed you both to take on multiple contracts and grind away. During that time you had both softened up but you… you went the extra mile. Wether it was an accident or not, you had gained about 50 pounds. Now with a noticeable gut and fattened thighs you had to replace your entire wardrobe, you left all the old clothes at goodwill since it would’ve just been more to ship over seas. Kate on the other hand actually seemed keen on losing weight once in Amsterdam, you had brought up going with her but she starting going on and on about how much effort moving was gonna be. She didnt really mention the gym after that.

It took about a week to get the apartment set up properly and get all your documentation in order. You and Kate had been exploring the city a little bit during the first week but finally having a full day to go through the city was great. You both knew that the first place to go was a coffee shop, back in Texas you could’ve never imagined buying weed and coffee at the same time. The idea was just so foreign that as we entered the building we were surprised it smelled of weed.

The shop is pretty cozy, hard wood floor, plants on the walls, a spacious room, and just an overall friendly atmosphere. After ordering our coffee and joint we went to the smoking section and got to talking about our plans for the next couple days and just how wild it is we actually did it. The city was so beautiful compared to Texas, walkable cities, and overall just an amazing vibe. We planned to visit a few touristy areas cause we wanted to at least once, a nice picnic at a nearby park, and to just explore the city more in general. The conversation went on for a solid 20 minutes before our weed was gone as well as our coffee. We both got a joint for the road and headed home to relax a bit.

Once we got back to the apartment we both went to change into something more comfy. As you were changing though Kate was eyeing your body a bit, you tried to speed up slightly but she stopped you by wrapping her arms around you. Kate gazes into your eyes as she gives your newly fattened belly a slight squeeze. You thought that this was about to go towards the bedroom, but nothing could’ve prepared you for the conversation that followed.

Kate: Heyy.. I think it’s time we addressed something

You: Oh, yeah whats up?

Kate: Well I’ve been thinking and… you know how you were talking about going to the gym?

You: …yeah.. I know I need to go, I was looking up a few places this morning. I know I’ve gained a lot and-

Kate: No, no, I… I kinda have a, different, idea..

You: What do you mean?

Kate: Welll.. I think it’s be easier if I just showed you… It’s kind of hard to explain and I’ll answer whatever questions you have it’s just… just look

Kate pulled out her phone and in a few seconds opened up tumblr, wasn’t sure why, I’ve seen it before and it’s just a aesthetic socialism blog. What am I gonna do, fight the corrupt social constructs in society by just existing as myself? No gym?

Kate struggles with her phone for a second and starts to turn it around before turning it back to herself a couple times.

Kate: so.. ok. I’m just gonna say it, get it off my chest, and then show you, remember no judgement! We all got something

You were kinda scared by this point, what could possibly cause Kate to be this indecisive? The Kate you knew was always head strong and confident in her words and actions, always positive in her decisions, and never nervous like this.

Kate: I.. Im attracted to fat…

You: What? What do you mean?

She hands you her phone and just kinda spaced out as you scroll a bit. A complete catalog of photos of fat men, women, and enbys, a few text post praising fat bodies. But the weird part was that a few of the post she was rebloging and even making herself were… well they were praising weight gain. Like **really** praising it. Post after post about how it’s a fantasy of the poster to fatten someone up.

You stare in disbelief at the phone for a moment, too many thoughts racing to your brain and you zone out before hearing Kate speak up.

Kate: so… um, what do you think?

You: im.. I’m not sure, I mean I’m glad you’ve told me this but I’m just… I’m surprised to say the least. I love food and all but.. do.. do you really want me to get fat?

Kate: ..

Kate: ..that would be nice yeah… I do. I can’t explain it but the weight you gained during quarantine is just… mesmerizing.. I’m sure you’ve noticed but I haven’t been able to keep my hands off you the last few months..

You: I thought that was because you were proud of how close we were to our goal

Kate: well that too! But… I’ve really taken a liking to all this new flab of yours.. look you don’t have to indulge me in this if you don’t want to. It’s valid if you don’t and I’ll even support you if you wanna go to the gym! Just.. can we at least try it out?

You sat in silence for a moment, sure you hadn’t really cared about your weight throughout covid. But even before that it wasn’t as if you were in the best shape, you only ever lost weight to have better luck dating or to look better for your current partner… But gaining weight? She only said she’s attracted to fat but a lot of those post were praising gaining weight.. and like, a lot of it. Some of the people she had rebloged had to be 500lbs… the sheer amount of food you’d have to consume is crazy!

You: You know that I love you.. and I’m willing to try it out for a little bit. But a lot of the stuff on there seemed a bit extreme. I have… a LOT of questions to be blunt with you. No promises on anything but.. we can try for tonight at the very least.

Kate: Really?!?! Fuck yes! Ughhh, I love you sweetie! Ok. We’ll have to talk boundaries for it later, same kinda talk we had for bdsm a couple years ago. I’ll answer whatever questions you have but right now?? I’m gonna order some food.

She quickly pranced away to her computer, the excitement she got from that made you chuckle a little. You were worried over nothing, the fact she felt close enough to share that with you made tonight’s new plans worth it. You think that odds are you won’t be into it or it’ll turn into something you do for her birthday or special events.

Little did you know at the time though… tonight would alter the course of your life dramatically. You had absolutely no idea how far this would truly go.

-5 year time skip -

You woke up on the couch, the cool breeze from the window meeting your scantily clad body and stirring you awake. You yawn and reach for the remote and your phone. After turning on the Tv to a local news channel you browse on your phone for a bit. It’s currently 12:30 pm on a Tuesday and while everyone is nearing done with their workday.. you’re just starting your day. A day that based on your schedule only, most people would envy. Waking up this late had become a bit of a routine for you. Your average day was waking up mid afternoon, ordering some delivery, and relaxing until Kate got home. Typically she got home around 6 and would unload a few bags of takeout, everyday she brought home a spread fit for a family and after a quick recap of her day the feeding would begin.

Today was no different, tired and groggy you get off the couch. You don’t sleep in the bed anymore, not since the stairs had gotten too difficult for you. The trip up a measley 18 steps had become such a workout that it wasn’t worth the effort since Kate bought a rather large couch downstairs. It was when you started struggling to get up off the couch on your own that you just stopped going upstairs altogether. You look down at the couch and see the ever deepening crevasse that your body is making in it and stifle a laugh that turned into a groggy belch. After going to the bathroom and waddling over to your desk you sit down, order some takeout, open up YouTube and a game to play. You could feel your belly yelling at you to fill it but food was already on the way. Deciding to just wait and be patient wasn’t really an option anymore.

You really didn’t want to stand again but you had to, you wanted to be good and practice some form of moderation but lately you just couldn’t. After pushing your chair back from the desk you lift your rotund and flabby arms into position to push yourself up with the armrests. Even that was starting to be a chore, you’ve just completely let yourself go. You start to get up and the weight of your body is fighting you the whole way, you’ve gotten so fat that your ass hasn’t even left the seat yet. Then gravity took its hold on you again and you had to fall back to the seat. Your weight wasn’t the only problem, you had to squeeze you’re fat ass into the chair and you were closer to getting stuck every single day.

After reveling in the pleasure for a minute you got it together and got up. Only few more months and you probably won’t even be able to sit in that chair anymore. You catch your breath and head over to the kitchen, Kate leaves a fully stocked fridge every day so it’s gotten pretty hard to tell how much you eat in a week. That’s not even including the ludicrous amount of food she brings home after work too. You grab a bag of chips, a 2 liter of soda, and a box of mini donuts, before heading back to the couch. Getting off the couch is easier than the chair and since the food should be here soon you might as well make your life easier.

You sit down on the couch and start to dig into your snacks, the flavors were great but with how much food you go through daily it feels a bit repetitive. This descent into gluttony and hedonism really started rolling because Kate showed you just how much good food is out there, and the fact that you could eat all you wanted made it even better. No restrictions. But… after the first 100ish lbs.. it turned into something else completely. Yeah the food tastes great but now all you wanted was to grow even fatter. Every bite you pressed past your lips wasn’t for the taste, it was for the calories, protein, sugar, and carbs.. all of the decadent excess provided you with such luscious cascading fat. You spend your days lazing about and packing that belly of yours to capacity, only to wait patiently for Kate to come home and push you further. Once you hit 400 it became an obsession for the both of you. You wanting to grow, and Kate wanting to be responsible for your growth. You posted content on tumblr with her as you both reveled in the responses from the community. She’s so proud of her work that others ask her for tips and you post your diet and lifestyle as an example for feedees to strive towards. 400 feels like so long ago though, a couple weeks ago you weighed in at 536lbs.

Eventually the doorbell rang and you got to the door as quickly as you could, your snacks were almost gone at that point so you got lucky. After picking the takeout up off the table outside the door, and grabbing the 2 liter from the couch, you saunter back to your computer. The desk is covered from end to end in takeout boxes, a sight that has grown so familiar to you that the absurdity of it all went away a long time ago. After sitting down you grab the bong off the desk and pack a bowl, another part of your routine that has definitely ramped up frequency ever since starting this weight gain journey. After sparking the bowl and taking a hit you exhale, the head high hitting you within seconds and giving you that euphoric soothing sensation you have come to love. Over the last 2ish years you doubt you have been sober once, between all the joints, bong hits, dabs, and your nightly edible pastries… you haven’t really had a break. You loved being able to quit working but the constant influx of THC was making your brain go slower and slower over time until all you could focus on was food and getting fatter for Kate.

Over the next 4 hours you cleared the takeout spread and a few bowls of weed. It’s time for your mid afternoon nap, another part of your new routine that you now couldn’t imagine going without. After collapsing your grossly overfed body back onto the couch you slowly drift off to sleep.

Later on Kate gets back to the apartment, over the last few years her figure has also changed… just in the complete opposite direction of mine. Now a stunningly fit woman at 5’10 she standouts like a sore thumb at her tech job. Amongst all the lazy overweight staff and a few lean co workers she was a cut above the rest. She had taken up powerlifting to in her words “be sure that she could handle all that belly” and god damn does it *realllyy* come in handy. Being this fat and this high all the time can make it very hard to get up by yourself. She also has taken a liking to working out in front of you while you gorge. It’s a great motivator for the both of you

After she gets the mountain of food spread out on the table in front of you she lifts a joint to her lips, lights it, and takes a puff.

Kate: we’ll… it’s time to get started

She lifts the joint to your lips and starts to stir you awake

Kate: Hey piggy! Why don’t you take this while I get everything ready ;)

You: ohhh.. hey baby! How was work? *deep puff of the joint*

Kate: Pretty much the same as the last few weeks, it’s been slow so I haven’t had a ton of stuff to do thankfully. It’s been giving me so much time to just destress and write new stories for tumblr.

You: haha that’s good, it’s nice to know that even when you’re not here you’re still thinking about this.

Kate: we’ll it’s hard for me not to! I mean I have my own personal fatty at home, whenever I have a free moment I’m planning out what to bring home, what toys to use tonight, how **much** I’m gonna make you eat… and how much more I want you to grow..

She leans in and you make out together as she fondles your rolls, as she pulls away you can tell by the look in her eyes that tonight is gonna be a relentless stuffing. You can just tell that her mind is completely focused on you and she has tunnel vision. As you take another puff of the joint she takes it from your mouth and takes a hit as well before passing it back to you before grabbing a takeout box off the table.

She tells you to suck it in as she pushes into your belly and she straddles your lower thigh. She slowly feeds you the Chinese takeout as you take hits in between bites. Complimenting your morbidly obese body, pinching, and prodding as she pushes more and more food past your lips. After the first take out box she took off her shirt and said “you knowww, how about this. For every box you finish, I’ll take off another piece of clothing, you know you can do it… right piggy? Besides.. you know you’ll get an *extra* reward for finishing everything.”

That was all the motivation you needed, after an hour passed you were 4 boxes in, her shirt, pants, socks, and bra were off by then. There were still 3 boxes left but 1 more and she’ll be naked, you were really stuffed by then. You knew you could finish everything but this pace was something else entirely, a usual day would have this be a multiple hour binge throughout the evening as you both relax and watch shows. But today… Kate was really pushing your limits. This wasn’t new but it’s never on a set schedule, you could never really prepare for it, and it’s not as if she cared how much you ate already. If Kate wanted it in your belly it was gonna end up there one way or another.

After lot of belly rubs, another bowl of weed and a short break the length of an episode Kate grabbed the fork from the takeout box and said “I think it’s time we get another box into you fatty, what do you say?”.

Through labored breaths you stammer out “oooh.. yeah.. I can go.. for another,, you’re *hic* uggh.. you’re really making me.. work for it tonight..”

Kate: Hahaha, well I can’t make it too easy for you can I? That would take all the fun out of it

She grabs the 5th box and begins to feed it to you, your pace has slowed down considerably but your belly has calmed down a bit. As you both continue to passively watch the show you fall into a haze, you’re so high that you don’t even realize how much time has passed and that Kate has already gotten you halfway through the 6th box. You start to feel your gut tighten again and Kate notices this, she keeps whispering words of encouragement into your ear as she slips more and more past your lips. As you try to speak she holds a joint to your lips and you can’t help but inhale, it’s like a Pavlovian response at this point. She has trained you so well that she can bend you to her will with the slightest amount of effort… with just a quick motion, a firm hand, and a few simple words she can make you forget all about what you were about to say.

After you polish off the 6th box she stands up and walks over to the weed shelf, an entire shelf dedicated to paraphernalia and weed. Kate pulls out the dab rig and you already know what’s ahead of you. You’re about to be so fucking high that you’re surrendering yourself over to her completely. You smoked a least 4 grams before she got home and probably another 3 with her already. But now it was time to get really hedonistic, it was time for you to become the literal definitions of hedonism and gluttony, just pure excess on display solely for her enjoyment and your greedy desires. She tells you to continue eating as she heat up the rig, setting the takeout box on top of your engorged belly. It really was becoming the perfect table for you. The final box was full of rangoons, just the perfect little snack. 20 balls of cream cheese wrapped in fried dough. Minimal nutritional value but a very strong flavor that was just too good to pass up.

As Kate heats up the dab rig you dig in to the rangoons, over the next couple minutes half of them are gone and Kate tells you she ready for you to take a hit. She presses it to your lips and as you inhale she says “Alright baby, here you go… that’s it… good piggy!”. As she takes it away and you breath out the hit your high increases dramatically. Your brain no longer being soothed by the weed but instead overtaken by it. Your eyes roll back a bit as the cotton mouth gets to you. *cough* **cough** “ohhhh fuck… mmnn.. oookay. Thankyou sweetie *cough*”

Kate: Your welcome ;) I know how much you love this, I just wanna keep you happy is all”

You: Well you-*cough*re definitely succeeding at that, I’ve gotten so fucking fat after all!

Kate: I knowww… the last 6months your gain has been accelerating too.. I’m just continuously amazed by your gluttony piggy. All you do is eat and eat and eat but you know as well as I do that you always want more

She picked up the rangoons and began to push them into your mouth

Kate: and you know that I know what’s best for you.. so just lean back as I help you finish what’s left. After that I think it’s time you earned your reward!

Kate presses her knee into your belly, not too hard but enough that the discomfort was a bit painful. Slipping bite after bite past your lips at a constant speed to make sure you finish before washing it down with soda. Your belly at this point is massive, gargantuan even… there’s no way Kate could straddle your thigh now like earlier, there’s just no room left.

As you lean back a bit more and place your hands on your engorged belly you hear the wonderful sound of the torch again, Kate is heating up the dab rig again and you know that the hit is for you. After a few more playful belly grabs and cute words exchanged she lifts the rig to your lips again. The size of the dab on the stick is more than usual, you figure that some of it is for her and take the hit anyways. Inhaling was very difficult as your belly was packed so tight, after you exhaled she presses it back to your lips for a 2nd hit, and then a third, and a fourth. After the fourth hit she pulls it away, a coughing fit ensues and you swear you can feel new stretch marks forming because of it. Kate then takes a hit for herself and presses her lips to yours, blowing the hit she took into your lungs.

Your mind melted at that point, the overload of thc, sugar, and msg left you in a state of groggy lightheaded-ness that didn’t allow you to form a coherent thought. You hear Kate slightly in the background cooing your name with a firm hand rubbing your massive gut. Her touch sending electricity across your skin before she slaps your gut hard and says “I’m sooo proud of you piggy, I didn’t think you could do it.. I think it’s time for your real reward”. You feel her hand slip between your thighs as she lifts up your gut, she takes a few seconds before finding your genitals, it’s been taking her longer to find them lately. But you don’t care though, how could you in this state. Your brief attempt at thinking is then cut short as she presses the recline button on the couch and puts her face between your thighs. You’re holding your gut up as best as you can so she can have her way with you before you drift off into another food coma while she gets ready for dinner. The sheer amount of food in your belly is demanding all of your attention and you just know that once Kate is done down there you’ll have a hip buckling orgasm, groaning and moaning while your in a lusty haze before drifting off to sleep only mere hours away from your nightly weight gain shake.

Isn’t it funny how much things can change in only a few short years?

Neon Wings

These are just my thoughts on this AMAZING series and I don't have someone to dump this so here we go.

Spoiler warning for both The Neon Barbarian and Neon Wings.

I've never done this and English grammar isn't my strong point.

I wasn't expecting a sequel for TNB. But the world was too interesting to not make more. So, I was surprised that NW went in a different direction. It's Raven's story and it SHOWS.

I love how the audience is able to witness Raven's past and compare it with the present.

I enjoy making the backstories of Listeners based on the little information we have. However, it feels different to just hear about their past from BE THERE to understand what they went through.

Because for me the two series are one big story. Of course, you can see one and not the other. Still, it hits different when you see both.

I like the idea of Crow not going back. It'll defeat the purpose of the story. (Don't get me wrong I LOVE CROW, I MISS HIM). Yet, if he comes back, it'll be awkward since Raven is different. Time has moved on and he will be stuck in the past again.

For me, Raven changes from being someone open to knowing new people to becoming this person with emotional walls. In both she's still kind and a badass, but it's different.

It took her TWO days to give Ivan the pie unlike with Crow that it took a few hours to invite him to her house.

One of my favorite parts of this series were the moments Raven had a panic attack. Sure, almost every video has loud banging or shooting noises.

But with these ones, you can FEEL how UNCOMFORTABLE she is. How there is nowhere to run, no way to get the sound quiet down. How the sirens and shooting noises never left her head as she just stayed there, incapable to do something.

The way music is used is another favorite part. Out of Touch means so much for her, both good and bad. I forgot the music was playing WHILE Crow was being shot.

That's why in her nightmare, after Ivan gets shot, it sounds a distorted version. It's the story repenting itself all over again.

Just for her to claim the song while they fight against Luke. Love the detail. The final song Chicago was *chef kiss*. It's a new song for a new life and it fits PERFECTLY.

ALSO, THE FIGHTING AND SOLO SCENES OMGGG. You KNOW what Raven does and what they do to her, from hand to hand combat to guns.

Also, there are many scenes where she doesn't interact with anyone and still understand what happened. Like when she goes back home from the incident and just drops to her couch/bed.

Lemme talk about Ivan. I was surprised with Ivan's attitude. He is always calm and never actually cursed. I thought that his reaction to Raven's old job was something he was OK with but couldn't participate.

He's so kind with everyone and his struggle NOT TO drop facts about the things he likes is relatable. HE'S SO AFFECTIONATE WITH RAVEN AND PALOMA, I LOVE HIM.

At the end, he curses and gives effective strategies to kill the other mercenaries. On top of that, he ended up shooting someone, so I think I didn’t give Ivan enough credit.

The fact that he has a kind heart, doesn't mean he's not brave enough to protect the ones he cares about. They became The Power Couple. Relationship Goals indeed.

It was a hard task to give Raven another love interest since Crow is so loved by the fans. And I admit it was handled very well. For both Crow and Michelle.

I appreciate how Michelle is not a competition. For me, she had the right to be upset at the beginning. It was a dangerous and new situation. She just wanted to protect her family.

Probably Ivan talked to her and explained the situation better, since Michelle doesn't blame Raven again at the end.

My question right now is, WHY Raven took Ivan with her??? He can't run and doesn't have that much experience in combat.

Maybe they felt safe with each other. I mean, Raven IS a mercenary and fought 3 armed guys alone. Also, why was she so open to listen to Luke? He knows most about Para M and would benefit from her death. I still need to give it more thought.

There are still some things that kept me thinking about the other stuff that weren't shown. One is that Danny is never brought up again. I understand that she was not as important as Crow in the story but STILL.

She died saving her identity from Louis and now Raven takes care of her cat. I just wonder if Danny was for Raven, another victim of the circumstances or they were friends.

Also, the disaster that created the super genits (i'm sorry if I wrote it wrong) is never brought up again. But I think it's because it takes place far away from the original incident. Something that is never stated as well, are Danny and Crow buried somewhere?.

Lastly, I always keep this writing advice in mind. Characters of a story can't be the same at the beginning and at the end. The scene that brought me that thought was when Raven got shot. I'm pretty sure she couldn't hear Crow's words before this moment.

Seeing him one last time and being in the situation she wanted for so long, it shows how much she grew. Raven from the beginning would've accepted to die.

But she couldn't, there was something worth living for. Raven had her closure with her past and now it's ready for the future. IT MADE ME EMOTIONAL 😭.

Now Raven can live her life again the way she wants. She leaves her old name and life behind. Not seeing the next sunrise but to enjoy it as well.

It's like those stories even if you get spoilers, it's not the same as experience it.

I finally watched Disneys Wish (2024) since it came out on Disney+ and I have a thought… or two.

Thoughts and critiques

So on my initial watch I actually kinda enjoyed it. Now HEAR ME OUT I CAN EXPLAIN-

I kind of enjoyed the songs (mostly because I didn’t really listen to the lyrics) and the movie and characters weren’t even that bad.

But after I thought about it some more and watched the behind the scenes videos I realized a couple things:

There are a couple things that weren’t even explained

Is Asha canonically the OG fairy godmother?

I still don’t know why Magnifico wanted the wishes all to himself

WE WERE ROBBED OF A VILLAIN COUPLE!!

My biggest gripe with the movie is how much potential it had, but it just fell short.

For this movie being Disneys big 100th anniversary project, it feels half baked. It felt unfinished, like I was watched the rough draft; the version that they show to a test audience to see what they needed to change and fix.

The people that worked on it kept saying that it was supposed to reflect the OG Disney that people know and love. If I’m being honest, they kind of missed the mark on it. As a movie in general it wasn’t terrible, but there were some things that were just missing.

Magnifico

Magnifico as a “classic Disney Villain” just didn’t make sense to me. He really has no clear reason for keeping the wishes all to himself. I know most of the classic villains were just kinda evil to be evil, but there was still a reason for them to be evil. (For example Malificent was salty about not being invited to the ball [kinda extra but whatever] the Evil queen wanted to be the fairest of them all,the witch doctor from Princes and the Frog wanted money,etc etc, you get the idea). The one thing they did though was making him and unredeemable villain. Bro was rotten to the core and had me hating him by the end of the movie, no matter how fine he is(one of the most handsome villains lemme just SAY)

And don’t even get me STARTED on his villain song. It felt too much like a lead up to his actual villain song. If there was a reprise or something like that later in the movie I could have accepted that. Theo whole thing just felt too upbeat and almost childish to me. They were cooking a little bit in the middle but they lost it again.

I SIMPLY WILL NOT LET GO OF THE FACT THAT WE AS A COMMUNITY WERE ROBBED!! There was so much potential for this Peter Pan type character and possible love interest?? And it’s not even because I’m a romance buff, but most female leads in Disney classics have a love interest, and if I’m to believe that this is reminiscent of said classics, we need a love interest. (Also can we just collectively agree that Star Boy would be added the Tubler sexy man list with expediency? Yes? Ok.)

The Queen

I don’t have much to nitpick about the queen but WE COULD HAVE HAD A VILLIN DUO! There was so much potential for some BANGER villain duets. And sure the classics didn’t really have villain couples per se, but they had plenty of villain groups, so it still would have made sense.

The references

I expected a lot more references and Easter eggs from other Disney movies, but I was struggling. I was looking the whole time and all I found were some hidden Mickey’s and a few throw aways lines alluding to characters and other movies. This is Disney’s big 100th anniversary! It should be full of references from all 100 years of movies! Maybe that’s just me but those references weren’t cutting it for me.

The Fandom

The Wish fandom is actually thriving more than I thought. We made a whole fandom out of nothinggg! Fan art, edits, fanfics, animatics, whole entire songs!! You name it, we have it. Honestly we should have just made the movie ourselves.

Again I say as a base movie it wasn’t that bad. There were some witty lines I liked, the friend group was cool (prob some of my fave characters tbh). The talking goat was THE funniest character(argue with the wall) and the Star is very plushy-able and I WILL be buying it when the murch drops thank YOU. Plus the storyline made sense with it being about making your dreams come true and such, perfectly falling in line with the whole Disney brand.

There were plenty of good things about it but it just wasn’t enough to call it a good anniversary movie. I finished the movie feeling horribly underwhelmed. It just felt like another Disney movie. I expected a lot more.

I mostly likely will be watching it again just to see if I find more, and who knows maybe it will be better the second time around.

Yo so I just realized smth

Thad can actually become a pretty good fighter against DDs and will probably join the main squad in the future

Hold up lemme explain-

So we all know thad is based off a stereotypical jock right? But,he is also implied to be an American football player

TLDR: wild adhd bisexual girl does mental gymnastics to explain why a random robot jock mainly plays A. Football. And with enough practice,he can become a good fighter,which he is already quite decent at it.

If you look at his betta design you can see shoes with spikes at the bottom,after researching a bit these sort of shoes are used by football players,rugby players and American football players.

Tho it seems in his final design his shoes ended up becoming average sport sneakers,now it could be just bc this shot is blurry,but they seem to have lack spikes. Despite that I still think related to American Football. And why? Easy his hat design.

Look at the back of his hat, it has an American football symbol! With a cable connected to it? (Probably some design choice to make it look cool).

And the fact he is also jock just makes it all clear,like even if he played other sports or hasn’t touched American football he still makes a decent fighter.

why would this make him a good fighter?

Easy,experience. Sports mostly help you improve some of your skills(like speed,strength,fast problem solving,cooperation and in some,throwing precision,but in rugby and A. Football is tackling) Yes sports don’t automatically turn you into a professional fighter but it can help you a bit. (Also btw the season one trailer reveals what seems to be a basketball gym (the one with 2 corpses hanging upside down,you can actually see a head tossed in the basketball ring) so yes there are gyms at the colony,and yes,indoor A. Football gyms exist).

Not only that we have also seen put up an ok fight against threats:

In the pilot for example,despite being thrown across the room 2 times (1st one by J and 2nd one by V) and being stabbed in the chest twice (also one made by J and the other by V) and clearly leaking a bit more oil than the usual. My man still could stand up and still tried to put up a fight with a random pipe he found.

In EP2 he doesn’t really fight at lot (in fact he reminds me of a damsel in distress,fun seeing that dynamic switching up genders) it could be bc Eldritch J was a new thing to him and was probably taken over by shock. Tho this scene makes me think that while he has taken captive by Eldritch J my man was probably fighting for his dear life. As by simply raising his fist he was able to scare off the AS,which could be just a funny lil gag,but a hoe can dream.

I think with enough practice and him learning how to calm himself in stressful situations he can become a pretty good fighter.

If he does end up joining the gang (which will probably occur) he can be a great ally and friend! (Perhaps even boyfriend-).

Anyways am in love with this fucker and I like how they switched up the stereotypes with him (being a typical jock,who you think its a bully but it’s actually the friendliest character. Him,a boy being the damsel in distress while uzi a (badass) girl,being his lifesaver and saving his ass twice. And finally a jock with a chill personality. A little rant about ok vs great character ‘breaking scenes’

Full disclosure, 1) I’m not a writer this is just my opinion, and 2) I really enjoyed hazbin hotel this isn’t slander power to the hazbin fandom right now shit is crazy I’m just talking about writing

Ok so, I’m sure that the pacing and writing issues in Hazbin are kinda obvious, they don’t take away from the show and I enjoyed it a lot, but it’s there. In my opinion episode four was the show at its best, a lot of people I’ve spoken to agree that episode four is one of the strongest ones (I haven’t seen 7 and 8 yet tho so idk) and specifically angels ‘breaking point’ scene outside the bar/club. Scenes like that are really important for character building, because they, in essence, show you how the characters are feeling. Angels scene was okay, it was impactful, but it wasn’t great, so I’m gonna compare it to one or two other scenes that serve a similar purpose and explain why. (Here’s a hint it’s about subtlety if you couldn’t tell when you watched it)

“This is my escape, where I can forget about it all and how much I hate…everything”

That’s a great line, it’s impactful, but god it’s lazy. Like I get it, but it’s kind of a nothing line, yknow? Like, its abstractttt, but think about it within the context of angel’s character and it doesn’t really mean anything. It’s not subtle, and the key (in my opinion emphasis on opinion) to good writing, especially for big character break scenes, is subtly. This scene is relying so heavily on the shock factor of Angels fucked up storyline to carry all the emotional weight. It’s so horrible that it just has to be impactful, but that means it doesn’t really hit any better or worse with context, which if you really want a good breakdown scene for, it kinda has to. It just kjnda….is a line. That’s this whole scene in a nutshell. It hits, its sad and it’s impactful, but only because his story literally makes it so by default, saying he hates everything doesn’t mean anything to his character. If that doesn’t really make sense, lemme put it like this; if you want a really good scene serving the purpose that this one is trying to achieve, it needs to hit better or hit differently the second time you watch it. Rewatch hazbin again and it’s the same scene, and the same can be said for most of it’s dialogue actually, which while isn’t detrimental to the story, shows that most of its dialogue isn’t really serving a purpose to the story, if each line mattered then each line should mean something once you know the whole story, if that makes sense.

Ok, now I’m gonna compare it to a much better scene from Helluva boss (to prove that Vivzie can do this stuff)

“You didn’t even care-!”

“I did care!!”

Bro ok, instantly this is better. Like this whole scene is so much better it’s a little weird that they were written by the same person. Why? Well, obviously on first watch it’s impactful, it’s got that ‘ghasp he left him to die?!?’ Shock factor, but the real shit comes from the sweet sweet context. What do we know about Blitzø? He’s scared of love, and everyone he has ever cared about he has hurt. He pretends he doesn’t care (a lot like Angel) all the time because he can’t be vulnerable and he can’t let people close to him. He does care. and the more you know about Blitzø the more that like hits because of it. Angel has a similar scream line when he shouts ‘it’s not an act! It’s who I need to be….’ But the problem with that one is that it doesn’t change or feel any better with more or less context, because we know everything we need to know about Angel already. The audience isn’t getting the same sense of satisfaction or payoff for these lines with Angel like they are for Blitzø because Helluva isn’t just telling you about these characters, it’s showing you. Blitzø could have gone ‘I didn’t leave you to die! I had to make a difficult choice and it haunts me and this the effect it had on me and blah blah blah’ but he doesn’t, he panics and tries to explain and he keeps repeating in the scene that he was trying to get help but he can’t explain it all and he just can’t. That’s good writing. Because where Angel jumps into this fully formed explanation of why he’s acting this way, Blitzø doesn’t because Blitzø can’t. Show not tell yknow?

Blitzø’s scene feels different when you know more about his character, to put it simply.

A really good example of this kinda writing is Steven universe, I genuinely can’t explain it unless you’ve seen it but

“Well I think you’re pretty great”

I don’t even have the words for how brilliant this scene is, every time you learn something new about pearl this scene just gets better, it’s so fucking good. She doesn’t even say anything, its all implied and I love it.

However, I am aware Helluva did have a season and a half to flesh out Blitzø, hazbin had three episodes,so I admit a lot of this is just down to the pacing getting in the way, but my point still stands.

Like literally if someone is mad at tanjiro or something like that one scene in season 3 where genya is just being grumpy but tanjiro uses his best boi eyes and makes genya literally stunned lol. But tanjiro would also be also comforting and caring to miles because like just imagine if miles was sad and stuff but tanjiro is like "nuh uh!" And comforts him LIKE HHSHSHSHS!! Even in the anime he's caring and super kind,super light hearted,very pure like hes just a happy fella and i think miles needs a postive friend like tanjiro cuz if yall watched itsv and atsv...yk what poor miles had to go through bro😭

He literally tried to help aubrey to stop bullying basil and tried maybe helping her to come back to the friend group like years ago yk? So imagine if frickin spider man kel or whatever actually does that to miles when he feels sad to? And plus i think kel and miles would be an pretty powerful duo as both spiderman lol.

All this goncharov stuff is giving me STRONG feels for my own OCs, mostly the Kosa-Anja-Czarek triangle.

Because like. Okay. So the setting is sci-fi, I have aliens and shit. But like. The core thing with these 3 is lies, love, betrayal, using people and their emotions for your own goals but also trying to outrun your own sins and stuff (well most of this is just Anja)

There's no mafia, but there's espionage and sabotage and technology stealing and MURDER.

Kosa - Anja - Czarek

Ok so their deal is that... Ok, let's say there are alien overlords, who are quite chill, but are still kinda overlording over humans. And they also have a giant biblically accurate computer.

So Czarek and Kosa have a business where they develop new technologies, but secretly steal shit from the alien overlords and try to have humanity be independent from the aliens. And also they try to hack that super computer.

Anja is Czarek's ex who Kosa always had hots for. Then Anja suddenly left without a word for a few years. And THEN she comes back, with a kid, and is like "heyyy I'm a super hacker, I've been scamming people left and right and made many enemies and had to run from place to place for years bc of that, but I always liked you two, lemme work for you" and since she is very skilled and VERY charming (and Kosa has the biggest hots for her), they agree.

But uh oh, they don't know that Anja is actually a spy for the alien overlords. And she's here to sabotage their hard work! And they don't know!

So Anja is not only spying on two of her old friends, she's also low key pitting them agains eachother, and she's also wooing Kosa so Kosa becomes less suspicious of her. But UH-OH, Czarek figures out something's up, and Anja knows he knows. And she's trying to make Kosa suspicious of Czarek instead. Finally Czarek is like, okay, enough is enough. But he's Anja's friend so before doing anything about it, he first confronts her. But Anja. Anja is a bastard, she has zero remorse, she only cares about herself first (and her daughter second) so she fights and kills him, and later tells Kosa HE was the spy.

And Kosa is horny for Anja so she's like, yeah that checks out.

So the two of them continue working together, until Anja finally does a Big Sabotage and runs away, leaving Kosa with basically NOTHING.

So Kosa plans her revenge.

Then some stuff happens, no time to explain it all, but basically Anja has a choice to flee yet again or confront Kosa. And idk, maybe she's tired of running away, maybe it's hubris, but she decides to face her.

And then theres a big "if only there was someone out there who loved you" scene, where ANJA is the first one to attack, but in the end, Kosa ends up victorious....or does she?

Anyway.

I can't talk in a way that's not shitpostery, but that's the gist of this for these 3.

Throughout Act 1 you would be slowly chipping away at Raven to learn more about her and realize how conflicted she deep down is, how for all her arrogance and pride for being a noblewoman you can soon learn she's only been adopted into House Mizzrym, and that because of that she is well-aware that if she messes up she could be disowned or killed, and to stabilize her position she has killed many of her adoptive siblings and she has evaded many assassination attempts. You would have her learning more about the surface as well, getting hints toward the fact she is having doubts about Drow society.

Act 1.5 (as you may as well call the Underdark and Mountain Pass) have things start actually really happening with her Companion Quest. Depending on where you go first you'll encounter Eilistraeans. Including an old...acquaintance of Raven's, for now unnamed, who was the person watching over her whilst she was held captive by Eilistraee worshippers for countless months, who had been extraordinarily kind to her despite being her captor, who had often shown her stuff about the surface, and who had given the message of Eilistraee to Raven before Raven had escaped:

A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow.

Basically offering Raven the chance to live on the surface, probably at an Eilistraean settlement nearby Baldur's Gate.

This old acquaintance combined with the message of Eilistraee had sown many doubts in Raven that she had buried deep within her when she had returned to the Underdark but she still vividly recalled the message given to her. Raven will explain all of this and this is when you can start to really push her toward two different paths:

Either pushing her to stay on the surface, or returning to her life in the Underdark.

Act 2 several things occur. First, you encounter some soldiers serving House Mizzrym, who are looking for Raven but lost their way in the Shadow-Cursed Lands, and seeing her traveling with 'lesser races' makes them assume she's turned against House Mizzrym. She will rush to explain the tadpole situation but you can choose to kill the soldiers instead, though this makes her extremely angry, leaving the party immediately when the battle starts. If you let her explain then she'll ask them to inform Akordia (her adoptive mother) of the situation and that she'll return as soon as the situation is sorted out.

When you reach the Moonrise Towers waypoint a messenger from House Mizzrym will appear at camp to tell Raven that Akordia received a message from Lolth herself for Raven. Basically Lolth tells Raven to do two things; slaughter the Eilistraeans she had previously encountered, as well as strike down the Absolute (because it was stealing Lolth's worshippers + is a threat to her), before returning to the Underdark to receive her reward, that being Lolth's favor (for both Raven as well as House Mizzrym) and a guarantee at securing her position and getting promoted to leading an elite unit of Deathsingers just like Akordia, rather than serving Akordia and being able to be discarded at any time.

This sounds like a great deal, but Raven is conflicted. This is where you can REALLY start pushing her toward either going with the Eilistraeans or doing what Lolth asked of her. She doesn't have to make any choice just yet until she meets the Eilistraeans again, though, so she has a lot of time to think on it. There will be a key scene that occurs after you defeat Ketheric IF you have high approval with her- she will tell you to meet her at camp and she will confess that despite everything she is still so conflicted and it's the first and only time you will see her cry because she is genuinely torn and thus is looking to you for guidance. You can push her toward either going with the Eilistraeans or going back to the Underdark, or you can tell her that you can't make this choice for her and she should follow her heart.

Act 3 is where the major choice comes as you will be able to find the place where the Eilistraean settlement is and thus encourage Raven to either kill them all or spare them. You can either push her toward one of the two choices here, or you can leave it up to her and she will choose based upon how you'd encouraged her during the aforementioned key Act 2 scene. If you told her to follow her heart the choice she will make will be decided at random.

After she makes her choice, Akordia will in fact appear because she was sent to make sure the Absolute gets taken care of, and she will either attack the party if the Eilistraeans were not killed, or become another ally as part of the Gather Your Allies quest. If the Eilistraeans and old acquaintance were spared they become allies as part of the quest instead.

There is a special ending if you are a Lolth-Sworn Drow. You can betray Raven, fight her in a one-v-one, and if you win you kill her and then can kill the Eilistraeans yourself and then when Akordia shows up present yourself to her and she will be impressed by you and you will earn a high position for yourself in Drow society as well as Lolth's favor.

So that's the rough idea of Raven's companion quest. Fun times 👍

I should be clear Raven won't become an Eilistraee worshipper in the ending where she goes to the Eilistraee settlement. She did genuinely worship Lolth, revering and being devoted to her like any other Drow and seeing her luck at getting to her position as thanks to Lolth, but in the ending where she goes to the Eilistraee settlement she doesn't think she can really switch to another goddess like that and instead is going to focus on deprogramming herself from the indoctrination rather than become the pawn of another god, even if that god is more benevolent. She does somewhat respect Eilistraee though.

actually lemme Break Down issue 23 and why max's behavior is. soooo frustrating esp if u read from the 'speedsters lean adhd' angle that seems pretty common

he asks for bart's plan, bart evades, and max accepts this-- he wants to see what bart does. he gives no instruction and never actually bothers to interrogate barts half-baked plan or even to tell him that "hitting" doesnt count as a plan. its pretty clear to me esp since max KNOWS bart that bart doesnt actually have a plan.

bart's right. lol. objectively. also at no point was he told to do the thing max is scolding him for not doing. lol.

hey max remember how at no point have you bothered to explain how your way is better? because you haven't. at any point. also bart's still right. lol.

a) max you literally have a speedster metabolism leave him fucking be. jesus

b) surprise camping trip is not a good solution to helen being justifiably irritated with you but whatever

c) hey so on a related note (and remember for a sec that bart is simultaneously 2 and 14) the most important thing you can do with toddlers and teenagers is give them as much autonomy as possible. so uh. well. surprise camping trip. that bart really doesnt seem excited about-- and like, i cant blame him! i wouldnt be either, and i love camping!

d) hey do you see max poking fun at barts past mistakes bc as someone who has had their parents do that it Fucking Sucks

he's framing this as a criticism, which is fucking rude considering bart has literally no way of knowing you dont bring video games camping, also-- he is knowingly setting bart up to be bored out of his mind. on purpose. he doesnt even propose another way for bart to entertain himself. remember this.

a) hate that he uses normal like that. like i get it but still, to have something inherant to your existence constantly used to abnormal-ify you fuckin sucks.

hey fun fact if theres a teacher and a student and the student doesnt learn anything it's the teacher's failure. because bart's trying- bart's trying REALLY HARD. and sure, so is max, but more is expected of teachers than students because a) theyre the adults and b) they know more. theyre coming from a place of knowledge. so anyway hes literally soooo mad at bart for something thats his own damn fault

and here we're seeing bart who clearly can feel that max is mad at him and wants to fix it so so bad. but max isnt mad at bart hes mad at himself (for his failure with helen) and he's taking it out on bart. lol. which means nothing bart does can fix it. which is a horrible feeling.

anyway. this whole thing just makes issue 24 physically painful becasue max and bart separate (presumably forever) without ever making amends, max never apologizes for this and since im now at issue 28 and theyre not mentioning it im going to assume itll be a good long time from now if he ever does, which fucking sucks. anyway. the whole point here is that i love max very much and this was seriously painful to read. and that i saw a post in the bonnie tag about how max shouldve adopted cissie and girl max shouldn't have adopted BART. like dont get me wrong they love each other very much but max is NOT fit to be ANYONE'S mentor.
