one pet peeve i have about certain anime/manga is the lost potential of a manga-ka not properly developing/exploring the world and characters they created.
after gege finishes this bullshit i want someone to buy them out and remake the jjk anime. ideally (spoilers): season 1 & 2
make jjk 0 the start of the series and yuta the main character (as was originally planned).
flesh out the student relationships that year with yuta, maki, inumaki and panda more
inumaki backstory (apparently he is from a sorcerer family too)
fleshout inumaki feelings/struggles with not being able to speak actual words
laying foundation for future maki/mai resolution later in series and the treatment of non-cursed energy users by zenin family. brief mentions of toji and perhaps megumi.
more history of how jujutsu society works as there's a whole hierarchy alluded to we never find out about and also would help on how they are in or have ties to the government which is revealed later in shibuya arc.
more confrontation between gojo and geto. theres 10 whole entire years between geto's defection and jjk 0. these two were practically inseparable (whether you see them as soul-besties or lovers) and theres an active bounty on geto. there had to be more passing moments, tension and smaller battles/struggles there.
show adoptive family relationship between geto, nanako and mimiko.
in fact theres a whole unexplored dichotomy between geto's mentorship to his sorcerer family he made from his followers and the found family of jujutsu high under gojo.
yuta struggling more with the guilt/burden of rika and mastering his ct
okay then finally we can have 'night parade of a hundred demons' and that resolution.
season 3 - hidden inventory arc
honestly this arc was pretty solid and can stay mostly the same but could be expanded by 3-4 episodes
show more of the dynamic between geto, gojo and shoko give us some more history/backstory of shoko.
give us an episode with haribara. like yes its sad he died but we didnt no anything about him really for it to be as impactful as it should have been as its literally the reason nanami stayed on to be a jujutsu sorcerer and what finally made geto snap.
give more backstory on gojo's family and expectations of him and how him being "othered" as the most powerful makes him more disconnected from people
something a bit more substantial to show even through gojo and geto were super close gojo couldn't emotionally empathize enough to see how much geto actually was struggling and the fact he failed him there
also see yuki interact with the rest of them more as she literally popped up out of the blue
movie break before season 4 for toji backstory movie
season 4 - the actual first season of jjk
i know yuji isnt the brightest crayon in the box but you'd think he'd actually go to the high school library/raid gojo's family library for ancient text/info on the actual curse living inside him. we should learn more of sukuna in this way, hell you could even rope in his old occult club for this.
more of sukuna mocking yuji. we see sukuna show interest in megumi which is good foreshadowing but we have nothing to hint of their actual relationship connection. i don't think sukuna would just be silent i think he would be mocking yuji internally alot.
sukuna should take over yuji's body temporarily due to their vow and we should have an early intoduction to uraume.
can we develop junpei more? he can have the same fate eventually but i feel like he should have joined jjk high briefly (still being manipulated on the side by mahito) before turning on yuji and this also is a good parallel to yuta story of how not everyone can be saved/converted.
introduce ino and show his and nanami relationship. how nanami struggles with it after haibara death
an episode or two just seeing the kyoto students interact and develop more of the relationship between mechamaru and miwa.
more information on how/why megumi sister got cursed. i assume megumi looses his shit later bc his sister is the only family he had that he gave a damn about but we need to see some more flashback scenes with them. i gotta be honest idgaf about her at this point and we certainly didnt see enough for megumi to completely lose the will to live or be as suicidal summoning mahoraga at every inconvenience lol.
season 5 - shibuya arc
things here would have made a lot more sense/felt better if things earlier were developed more as i mentioned so i dont think there needs to be a ton of changes.
we DO need to see how inumaki lost his arm because its so confusing he all of a sudden doesn't have one.
in all honesty zombie!toji should have been able to sense jogo if we are running with the theory he is programmed in that state to fight the strongest. sure megumi may have more potential than jogo but same could be said for dagon then. there was really no need for jogo show up at that point just to leave two minutes later.
nanami not dying to jogo/mahito. i appreciate how they did it and isolated i dont hate it tbh. its fitting although sad af. however choso's death and the subsequent power up yuji gets invalidates nanami's death/power up. Power ups from deaths are fine but it happening twice in pivotal moments is lazy writing. Nanami's death subsequently isn't as meaningful and choso's death (as his bro it is going to hit harder regardless). plus killing sukuna is way more substantial than than mahito.
given what happens later it also would have probably been good for megumi to realize thats his daddy back from the dead. maybe he realizes as toji's offing himself due to tid bits/things gojo or others have revealed to him in the past. but theres no other good time to do this before he becomes sukuna's vessel.
season 6 - culling games & gojo's release
explain in a less convoluted way idk how they are going to do this for anime cause i read the manga and bitch im STILL confused??
honestly though id say keep nanami alive tho just so he can meet higaruma because we need nanami + higaruma scenes they would fr be gojo and geto level besties istg.
would like a bit more on noritoshi kamo backstory and he seems to have this twisted fondness for his "children" so to speak so a bit more on that creepy mofo.
season 7 - prep for sukuna fight & sukuna gojo's fight
we skipped MONTHS here. wtf!? we need to see:
choso and yuji relationship
choso mourning yuki and realizing he probably wont be able to keep her promise as he has to protect yuji
yuji's training
maybe see more of sukuna's past
gojo reflection thoughts on all tf that has happened and his mental state.
season 8 - post gojo, current fight with sukuna
if nanami has to die he can go out fighting sukuna.
thats really all i have so far. the previous changes would make choso's death make more sense and although i hate it, it would serve its purpose more than an earlier nanami death.
thank you for coming to my ted talk.

Dad!Choso Headcanon MDNI
Papa!Choso
Tumblr media
He definitely didn’t even think he could reproduce. Much less get you pregnant within the first year of his existence. He thought that the reproduction of curses was only something his mother could do, not a hereditary trait.
So he ran away with you. Far away to the country side of Japan. Leaving all of the chaos of what was happening in the jujutsu world behind because it wasn't his world anymore. It was you and the little life growing inside you.
You both changed your last names. Hid that you two knew or were a part of the jujutsu world. Your lives were completely turned upside down to ensure this baby had a chance. That your family had a chance.
Choso, especially, did everything he could to ensure your safety. You were not going to meet his mother's same fate, and he would be damned if his children met the same fate as him and his brothers.
This was going to be different. This family was going to be his and his alone to take care of. To protect.
He was no longer “older brother” onii-cha first; he was “papa” first and an older brother second. Regardless, he was still the leader of a family. His family. Nothing was more important to him than family.
Dad!Choso is more affectionately addressed as Papa!Choso
When he got you pregnant, the only name he used to address you was "mama." Your name too when it came to more serious matters, but 90% of the time you were always "mama”.
“You feeling okay today, mama?”
“Hey mama, do you know where my hair ties are?”
“You’re glowing today, mama.”
“Fuck, you feel so good, mama.”
"Oooh, mama, let’s have another baby.”
“Fuck mama, just like that, squirt on me again.”
Pregnant! You had his mommy kink on high.
Choso is 1000% a girl dad. Never knowing a love quite as powerful as when his first daughter was born. He was hooked. He was completely devoted to the little girl in his arms, who held his entire heart. He finally understood what it was to be human. Finally he understood the depths of love and devotion.
This love resulted in five more daughters, despite the first being an absolute miracle. After his second, you and him were both sure that he was just as human as a curse, but Choso was relentless. He wanted a big family, and after you saw the way he was with your firstborn, you wanted the same thing. You had always known how wonderful a brother he was, so why would fatherhood be any different? He was perfect. Your kids were perfect, and after the 6th daughter in a row, you wanted to at least take a break from being pregnant, and Choso understood that, so naturally, your 7th child was born a year later.
A son.
Choso was the eldest brother of the cursed womb death paintings. Half human. Half curse. But when he fell in love with you and reproduced with you, his children took on a similar concept as the death paintings. All of his children were mostly humans with sorcerer abilities or maybe even curses. Who really knew? Choso's genetic makeup was as much a mystery to you as your kids were. You both were not completely sure.
Choso was no longer the eldest brother of the death paintings. He was now the father of the seven virtues.
Ren’Ai the daughter of Love
Hikaeme the daughter of Humility
Emika the daughter of Kindness
Kokumei the daughter of Diligence
Jihi the daughter of Charity
Zenshin the daughter of Temperance
Nintai the son of Patience
— ଘ(੭ ˘ ᵕ˘)━☆゚.*・。゚ᵕ꒳ᵕ~
I do not own the rights to Choso. I do reserve the right to the idea of Choso being the father of the 7 virtues and the 7 virtues being personified and sorcerers. Please do not steal, translate, or repost. Reblogs are appreciated ♡

"open your mouth for me, baby." | with choso kamo .
❀ — content: fem reader, multiple rounds, finger sucking, praise, subspace, overstim, creampie.
Tumblr media
due to his nature as a half-curse, choso could last a lot longer in bed than you could. three orgasms in and you were already rendered stupid; so pliant around his cock as if you were nothing more than a cockdrunk mess tangled in the sheets as the man continued to fuck you even still.
"just one more, sweetheart," he cooed, leaning over to cup your cheek. "you look so pretty for me,"
tears began to well up in your eyes as you made feeble attempts to talk, but only silly little babbles fell from your mouth. choso ran a thumb over your drool-soaked lips, smiling to himself as you made an attempt to suck the digit.
"you don't need to think, princess. i've got you. open your mouth for me, baby,"
doing exactly as he said, you let the hazy feeling consume you. choso continued his gentle thrusts into your messy cunt as soft moans filled the room. your overstimulated pussy fluttered around him; every movement was so full of love and adoration. you succumbed to your instincts and sucked on choso's thumb, mentally thanking him when he added another couple of ringed fingers into your mouth.
fuck. he loved how dumb you looked. like a poor little bunny who didn't know any better. so vulnerable, so fucking cute, and all his.
subconsciously, choso's pace sped up. he held onto your hip with a tender grip, keeping you in place. you sobbed lightly when his pelvic bone accidentally brushed against your clit, and again each time the tip of his cock grazed your abused cervix. he hushed your cries every time, feeling a little bit selfish for carrying on fucking you to this point. when you began babbling about cumming, his fingers still in your mouth, choso was dragged away from his thoughts and back to reality.
"do you want me to fill you up, darling?" he asked, only anticipating a nod in response, of which he got. "that's it, my sweet pea, are you going to cum for me again, yeah?"
choso adorable smile made you feel so warm inside. you again did your best to nod an affirmative, though the dizziness had a grip on you. he muttered broken praises and a few pet names, none of which you could fully comprehend considering the fact that his cock was hitting all of the right spots and sending you tumbling towards yet another high.
"cho-" you cried, though you were interrupted by a sob.
"shh, just let go, princess. i've got you, i'm here,"
your smaller hands wrapped around his arm, nails digging crescent-shaped marks into his skin. it felt like choso had lit a match inside of you and you were now on fire. there was a heavy pressure in your lower region, and he sweet-talked you through it. before you knew it, your warm cunt had him in a near death grip as your orgasm hit you like a ton of bricks.
choso took his fingers out of yourself, instead cupping your face as you shook. he had a habit of holding you close when he came, wanting nothing more than to cherish you.
the sensation of your spasming cunt drove him over the edge, with choso groaning your name and octave deeper than his usual voice as he spilled his hot cum against your womb. he absent-mindedly thrust a few more times, though considerably sloppier than those prior.
within the blink of an eye, the man collapsed on the sheets next to you and let you curl into his hold. the feeling of his skin against your own helped you slowly anchor yourself back to the land of the sane.
"mpfh," you mumbled, face mushed against choso's chest.
"what's that, sweetheart? is everything okay?" he could feel your lips contort into a smile, and it filled him with a sense of pride that you were comfortable enough to let your guard down entirely when with him.
"'m good," though full sentences were a struggle, it calmed your boyfriend to know that you were gaining full control back of your state of mind. "comfy,"
he smiled himself. "i'll clean you up in a second, baby. we can stay like this for a moment longer, how does that sound?"

Suguru wakes to the feeling of your arms wrapped around him from the back; sometimes he liked to be the little spoon. Mostly because he loved the feeling of your cheek pressed into his back. He felt needed when you koala’d yourself around him in the middle of the night. The night terrors you experienced years ago started coming back so you’ve been clutching to Suguru more often. Sometimes he wakes up feeling like he’s being crushed from the vice grip you have on him in your sleep. He always has to peel you from around him so he can turn in your hold to soothe you awake and talk you down.
“Hey, I’m here with you, Ru,” he coos into your hair, “C'mon pretty, wake up for me,” his hand rubs circles into the small of your back, pulling your shaking frame on top of him. Your eyes shoot open at the feeling of being moved. A “no, no, no,” leaves your lips until you realize who’s in front of you. You can't believe how safe he makes you feel, when nearly a year ago you were trying to sleep with him just to get away from him. “Shh, just me, Ru. You’re okay.”
“Sugu?” you whine, hands reaching out to feel his face to really make sure he’s here. Your heart feels as if it's about to jump out of your chest, but at the feeling of his skin against yours, you feel eased.
“Yeah, Ru, it’s me,” his other hand comes up to grip your wrist, leaning into your touch. “Just me.”
“I hate these nightmares,” your eyes begin to well with tears.
“Well, knowing someone is after you that you’ve known to be your friend is bound to mess with your head,”
“I know, Mr. Logical,” you roll your eyes at him.
“You’re in distress right now, so I'll let that one slide,” he chuckles, pressing a kiss to your nose. To his right, his phone starts vibrating against the surface, pulling his attention to the object. Chief Yaga’s name puts worry into his mind. “Shit,” he whispers, sitting up with you in his hold. “Let me go take this,” he says with a kiss to your forehead before he disappears into the bathroom.
You sit in your spot, sheets pulled up with your arms to cover your chest as you sit and try to listen as closely as possible.
“Good morning Chief,” you hear Suguru say. “No, sir, no progress I’m afraid,” you chuckle to yourself at his admittance. No progress my ass. He’d successfully turned you into a sappy mess for him, that was his progress. If only the chief knew that you were sitting just a few feet away from Suguru as he blatantly lied to him. “Sir, I don't think that’s necessary, I’ve got it handled.” What’s not necessary? “With all due respect sir, you’re wrong. I’m the onl–” you imagine he’d been cut off, so his blood pressure is probably through the roof. “Sir, I’m the only one who’s gotten close to her before. I can do it again. Satoru is just going to weigh me down.” What? Who’s Satoru? “Sir, I don’t think this is a good idea. Hello? Chief?” you hear the phone get set on the counter before Suguru speaks again.
“Fuck!” he yells, followed by the sound of shattering glass. The sound makes you jump. What was that? Your feet find the floor and they carry you to the bathroom before you can even think about it. You push the door open, finding Suguru standing at the sink, gripping the edge with blood trickling down his right hand. Glancing up, you see the mirror's state, completely shattered from his fist.
“Suguru?” you ask tentatively.
“I need to get you out of here,” he says, ripping himself from his spot and dragging you back into the bedroom.
“Woah, slow down. Let me look at your hand,” you reach for it, but he jerks from your hold.
“There’s no time, get dressed.” He throws the clothes of yours that were on the back of a chair at you, forcing you to catch them.
“Will you talk to me, please? You’re scaring me,” the words leaving your mouth sound shaky. He stops in his tracks, turning to look at you and taking in your appearance. The tears that are still evident in your eyes and how your body just trembles.
“I’m sorry, but there’s really no time for me to coddle you right now. I know you’re scared, and I'll explain on the way, but I need you to get dressed. Now. I’m not asking again.”
“F-fine,” you sniffle, sliding the clothes onto your body. The one suitcase you allow yourself to keep over the years was kept under your side of the bed. Sliding it from underneath, you grab your boots and your jacket before leaving the hotel room without another word. Down the hall and to the stairs before a hand grabs ahold of your shoulder.
“Where do you think you’re going?”
“You said I needed to get out of there. So I’m doing you a favor. We were never going to be able to live the life we wanted, Suguru. It was always just a ticking time bomb of never knowing when it was going to go off. Well guess what? It went off,” he eyes you, tears welling in his eyes at your truth.
“I’m going to find a way to keep you safe. I’m going to. I have to,” he pleads, a hand finding your cheek to wipe your tears. “You promised you wouldn’t leave,”
“I can take care of myself, Detective. You promised me you’d never keep me in the dark,” you pull his hold from your face. “You broke that promise, so I'm breaking my promise. Don’t follow me,” with that you’re disappearing down the stairs.
“Would you stop for a second? Let me explain,” he yells after you, “Ru!” he’s hot on your trail, “Rub–Y/N, stop!” he grips you again, turning you fast and wrapping his arms around your heaving shoulders. “Stop running from me,” he begs. “I’m going to keep you safe, okay? You just have to trust me.”
“Think I trust you too much at this point,” you sniffle into his chest, your arms instinctively snaking around him, after you drop your bag to the floor. “You promised you’d keep me in the loop on things. I need communication.”
“I know, I’m sorry. C’mon, there’s not much time,” he’s ushering you back up the stairs towards the room. Once back inside, he explains while he gathers some more of the items you’d left, tossing them into a bag. “Chief Yaga is sending another Detective, Satoru, to come work the case with me. He said two years is too long for one person to spend on a single case and is tired of not getting results.” his tone sounding more and more annoyed with each leaving word. “I don't know why I'm upset, you said it yourself. It was only a matter of time.”
“You have the right to be upset, Sugu. I’m upset alongside you, but we have to do something.”
“For now, I’m just going to stay here, and you’ll be in your room down the hall. Once I have somewhere else for you to go, I’ll get you there.” He sounds frantic, almost panicked. You reach out, placing your palm between his shoulder blades. He tenses under your touch, but then immediately relaxes once your arms reach around his middle.
“Just breathe, It’ll be fine. I’ll help you gather all of my stuff so I can get down the hall, okay? We’re in this together,” your words are muffled into his back. His hands reach to rub over your arms across his waist.
“Once you’re in the room, you won’t be able to leave without some sort of signal from me. We’ll have to keep in contact on our burners.” He turns in your hold, placing a kiss to your forehead.
“I hate that I’m going to be away from you,” you whine after you bury your face into his chest, soaking in the last bit of his scent you’d be able to get for a while.
“Hey, I might be able to get Satoru to leave for a while at some point. But I know what you mean. We’ll find a way somehow, I promise. You can't promise that.
You knew what you had to do.
“Well, I can’t just stop doing my jobs again, that’ll raise red flags. Another detective shows up and I just go ghost? That’ll look bad on you. I have to keep it up, no if’s and’s or but’s about it.”
“Woah there, Ru. You have to think logically about this.” You know what? Just go along with it.
“Yeah, yeah. You’re right. I don’t know what I was thinking.” You know exactly what you were thinking.
Suguru helps you go through the entire hotel room, looking for any item of yours. All of your items were thrown into a bag and he walked you down to your hotel room down the hall that you’d never taken out of your name for a reason just like this. You never knew when your time was going to be up, but you just wished it wasn’t right now. You wished you could have a real chance at a real life with Suguru. Maybe in another life, you could have the life you dreamed of with him every night. The two of you laid up in the bed, his head on your chest for once, your fingers running through his hair as he hummed against your skin. Talking of the things you wanted to experience together. The countries you wanted to visit. The number of cats you wanted together. How many kids he wanted but how tentative you were about kids. He swore he was going to change your mind. Right where you wanted him.
He’d be crushed if he knew the truth.
Tumblr media
“Satoru, what’s up man?” Suguru greets his friend as he opens the door, “Welcome to my humble abode,” he chuckles as he makes his way inside.
“It is certainly..humble,” Satoru laughs. “Why don’t I get us something better at the Hilton down the road?”
“Nah, man, I’ve been here the entire time, I’m good here,” Suguru says not wanting to leave this space he’s been sharing with you. “But by all means, if you want to, more power to you.”
“Yeah, I think I will,” he grins, setting his bag on the bed. He takes in the state of the room, the tousled sheets, and pillows on the floor. Suguru stripped the bed for housekeeping to take before Satoru got here. He didn’t want to chance any trace of you being stuck in the sheets. “Aww, you doing some spring cleaning on my account?”
“For sure,” Suguru chuckles. “Nah, I just haven’t had the sheets changed yet this week.”
“Dude, what happened to your hand?” Satoru asks, noticing the soaked bandages wrapped around his hand and wrist.
“Oh, I got pissed off the other day after I let the girl slip through my fingers again. I even knew which bank she was going to be at and I still missed her.” Suguru plays up his irritation, turning away from Satoru and gripping the back of the desk chair in the corner.
“Well, let’s go over everything you have before I go get my hotel room.” Satoru attempts to ease the tension.
Suguru waited about twenty minutes after Satoru left to come down to your room. He knocked on the door twice like you two agreed on, and he waited.
And waited.
So he knocked again.
And waited.
“Ru?” he asked through the door.
Nothing.
“Ruby?”
Nothing.
“Y/N, this isn’t funny,” he says, reaching into his pocket for the spare key to your room. He didn’t want to just barge in on you, he had some decorum. He opens the door, and he’s met with an empty room. You’re nowhere. You hadn’t even pulled the duvet down on the bed. How long have you been gone? Suguru panics. He glances around the room to see if there’s any trace of you. On the desk, he sees your burner phone and a note.
“Sugu, Our time is unfortunately up for now. We both know that. I’m sorry, but this is the only way. I know where I eventually need to go, even if it pains me to do so. Maybe I’ll see you again someday. - Your Ru.”
Hot tears stream down his face as he reads your words.
You promised..
You promised him.
What did you mean by this was the only way? He told you he’d find a way. Why couldn't you just trust him? Where were you going? He was spiraling. If he hadn’t already messed up his good hand, he’d be punching the wall. He storms back down to his room, unsure of what to do next. At least you had your gun. He knew you could protect yourself. But it still terrified him to know you were out there and he was stuck here in the unknown.
He had you.
He lost you.
Just like that.
He lost you.
Tumblr media
A month has passed and you haven’t seen Suguru. You’re certain you’ve never felt this kind of pain before. You can hear his voice in your dreams, feel his arms around you while you sleep,  but when you wake you’re alone. In the big penthouse suite at the Hilton. It’s a wonder what the hotel management is willing to do when you wave some money around.
“Thank you for calling the Hilton on Main, how can I help you?”
“Hello, I’d like to book your penthouse suite. Indefinitely.”
“Certainly, ma’am. Could I have a name for the reservation?”
“I’d like this to remain off the books please.”
“I’ll have to get a manager for this, give me one second please.” A brief pause, some elevator sounding music plays before a man gets on the phone. “Good evening ma'am, I hear we’d like to have a stay off the books?”
“Yes, sir. I’ll pay three times the rate, under the table. I would like no room service, no maid service, nothing.”
They really are willing to do a lot for money. No name on the books, a private entrance, not a single member of staff knows who you are nor have they seen you. Just how you like it.
But you have to keep doing your work
Seventy seconds, but you only need thirty.
Like clockwork.
In and and out of the bank.
A hand grips your upper arm.
You're taken off guard for two reasons. One, this is very reminiscent of when you and Suguru first met, and that’s who you are anticipating when you turn around. The second reason is because when you turn around, you’re met with a fist to your face and a knee to your gut, sending you down onto your knees. You spit the blood that pooled in your mouth out onto the ground beneath you. The bag in your hand drops to the ground. Gun. Where is your gun? Reaching behind you as you struggle to pull yourself to stand, you pull your gun from your waistband, but when you finally get clear enough vision, there’s nobody around you. Your bag is still here, but the person who attacked you is gone.
What was that about? Who was that?
You reach behind you, putting your gun back into your waistband, and picking up your bag. A piece of paper sticks to the side of your boot. It reads, “The Red Queen, beheaded for treason.”
What the hell was that supposed to mean?
You only have one option left. You only have one person left to go to.
Tumblr media
Suguru has been a wreck. It’s been a month and he hadn’t heard from you in any way. He knew you remembered his cell number on both of his phones so if you really needed him, you’d make it known. Satoru has been acting strange lately as well. Noticing more of Suguru’s negative moods whenever they’d talk about you. His evident irritation at the mention of your name. He was proud of you of course for keeping up on your scores and taking care of yourself, but he missed you terribly and just wanted to see you–hold you–one more time.
“Dude, you good? You’ve been on edge since I joined you a month ago,” Satoru prods at him. Suguru had been sitting in the passenger side seat of Satoru’s car as they made their way to the bank you’d just hit. A sliver of hope in his brain that you’d still be there, but he knows it’s a pointless thought. He grips the door so hard his knuckles are turning white. He just wants one glimpse of your face. That’s all he’s asking for.
“Fine,” he huffs, throwing the cruiser door open and stepping out.
They survey the scene, taking all records of everyone's account inside the bank. Of course nobody saw anything, the manager couldn't get a look at your face because of the glasses. All he could see was your red lipstick and that smile as you spoke. Suguru could imagine your face, your laugh as the man before him described what he could remember about you. He grins as he realizes just how good you are at your “job”, thinking about how proud he is of you. How proud he, a detective, is proud of you, a criminal. He’s actually going insane over you. He’s willing to throw away every oath he ever took for you. You have him wrapped around your finger and he liked it.
“Think she got someone outside,” Satoru says, making his way over to Suguru.
“What do you mean?”
“Found a splatter of blood on the steps out front,” he pulls his phone out of his pocket, flipping it around to show him. Suguru’s face pales.
And Satoru notices.
No, no, no. That better not be yours. You’d better be okay. Suguru will have whoevers head if that is yours. He needed to find you again.
Now.

The pair of detectives make their way back to the Suguru’s hotel room, to add the photos they took, and their notes to their wall of evidence.
Satoru is the first one to notice. Maid service had been here, and they obviously found a shirt of Suguru’s that he’d been hiding. A white dress shirt covered in lipstick prints all over the collar.
Red lipstick prints
Is that why he’d been so on edge? Had he been lying to Satoru all along? Another mental note he keeps for later.
“Oh, guess the maids finally thought you needed some help,” Satoru jokes, gesturing towards the made beds and the shirt laying on the edge. He follows Suguru’s gaze, watches as his eyes widen and face turns as white at the piece of clothing as he looks at it. The shirt he’d kept under his pillow so he had some way of sleeping close to you, since it was the only thing he had that reminded him of you. He’s gotta shake it off. Suguru picks up the shirt and chuckles.
“Haha, I thought I'd gotten rid of this. A man gets lonely sometimes ya know? She ruined my shirt,” he says as he tosses it in the trash can, knowing he’ll take it out once Satoru leaves the room.
“Ohhoho, a man does have needs,” Satoru laughs. “Send her to my room next time,” he’s trying to keep up with Suguru’s story but it's getting harder to live with knowing his friend is lying to him.
“For sure, I’ll send her to the penthouse at the Hilton for you later tonight.”
“While I appreciate the sentiment, I wasn't able to get the penthouse, I guess some VIP is staying there indefinitely.” Satoru sighs, clearly annoyed at the memory. Suguru’s ears perked up. Of course you’re in the penthouse. Why didn't he think of that to begin with?
“Poor rich boy doesn't get the penthouse, whatever will you do?” Suguru teases him.
“Cry about it some more, probably,” he jokes. “Speaking of, I’m due for a cry myself to naptime session, so I’ll be going to my non-penthouse room now,” he says rolling his eyes. Satoru grabs his briefcase and heads towards the door. “G’night, Detective,” the tone of his voice almost serving as a reminder that Suguru is in fact a cop.
“See you tomorrow, Satoru.”
Suguru waits about an hour before he does probably the dumbest thing he’s ever done. Stepping out of the elevator, and into the hallway he makes his way to the double doors at the end. “Penthouse Suite” reads on the gold plaque on the wall.
Once he reaches the door, he knocks twice.
Just like you agreed.

*A FEW YEARS BACK. 2008*
“I wish I was fearless like you. I’m always scared.”
You laugh softly at Mimiko’s comment, and as brave as you want to sound, you don’t stray from the truth.
“When I was a little girl,” you begin to share softly. “Just like you, I was scared.”
Nanako giggles and argues against you since all she sees now is you being fearless. “That’s not true. I don’t believe it.”
You nod. “It’s true,” you insist and glance at your right side to look at her. “When I was little I used to be scared of many things,” you continue softly. “I was scared of curses, I was scared of bugs, and almost anything that went bump in the night.” You sigh and look up at the ceiling. “Even now I'm scared.”
“Of bugs?” Mimiko probes.
You giggle and shake your head. “Just spiders. But Suguru kills those so I’m okay.”
“What else are you scared of?” Nanako queries softly as she flips to her side to watch you watching the ceiling.
You hum softly and think of lying, but they expect you to be sincere, they want you to be sincere. So you admit one truth. “I’m scared of being alone. I don’t like being alone.”
Nanako and Mimiko stay quiet for a moment as they think of your answer. You keep your eyes on the ceiling as you wait, and hope you didn’t change the way they look at you by letting them see that you’re as much of a human as them.
You want them to look up to you, yes, more than anything, but you also don’t want them to look at you like you’re someone cold and unreachable. It always felt like your parents were on pedestals; they were something you could see but never get close to or touch. You always tried to live up to their image, but no matter how much you tried it was never enough, they got higher and higher.
You want your girls to know that you’re always here, at their level.
“Well,” Mimiko breaks the silence and flips around to hug your arm, making you slowly look at her with relief. “You’ll always have us.”
“And Geto!” Nanako adds excitedly. “You’ll never be alone,” she assures you.
You look at the both of them before you grin happily and throw your arms around them to pull them close to you. “Yeah,” you whisper in a shaky voice as you try hard not to cry happy tears. “You’re both right…but you know,” you sigh and slowly grow serious so you can assure their previous insecurity. “It’s okay to be scared. You can be scared, okay? That’s okay, it’s human, it’s normal. But you know what?”
“What?” Nanako probes.
You smile softly. “You never have to fear going back to that awful place, Suguru nor I will ever, ever let that happen, okay? We’ll never let anyone hurt either of you ever again, all right?”
Mimiko and Nanako snuggle up against you and they whisper softly, “okay.”
You let out a content breath of air, and press a gentle kiss on the top of their heads.
——
*NOW. 2018*
“Mimiko? Nanako?” You call out through the hall.
There’s no answer even if on your screen it says they’re just down the hall.
Maybe they’re hiding?
So you call out louder as you pick up your pace. “Nanako, Mimiko. It’s okay, it's just me.”
There’s still no response and that alone is weird, you’d usually get some kind of response, even if it’s to talk back. But right now besides the sound of Choso and your footsteps, there’s just silence.
“Maybe they left,” Choso suggests.
You look back at him with amusement. “Yeah, no, Nanako doesn’t go anywhere without her phone. Not only because it has to do with her technique, but she’s probably addicted to it. It's a problem.” You laugh softly and glance at all the deep cracks on the ceiling that weren’t here before. “Hey, I wonder what happened here,” you point out.
Choso sighs. “This is where I fought Yuji,” he shares, making you look back at him with your lips slightly parted with surprise and awe.
“You’ll have to explain your technique to me later,” you interject. “I’m very curious about how your technique works specifically. I haven’t seen anything like it.”
Choso shrugs. “It’s simple,” he deadpans.
You scoff. “It’s simple,” you mock him, making his eyebrows immediately furrow, while his lips curl to a displeased frown.
You flash him a smile and shake your finger at him. “It’s not simple, it’s complex and interesting, I want to hear about it so you have to come up with something better than it's simple, hm?”
Choso holds your gaze for a lingering moment before he nods once.
“Great,” you praise him and then look ahead again to quicken your pace as you get close to the end of the hall. “Nanako, Mimiko you can come out now!” You call out one more time with excitement.
However, when you reach the end of the hall, you immediately come to a sudden halt as you notice Mimiko bowing down in a pool of blood that's spilled all over the floor in front of the hall that leads to the elevators.
“Mimiko?” You call out quieter and feel your smile fade away when you don’t see her move a muscle, or notice Nanako beside her twin sister.
“Mimiko?” You call out again from where you are, but she still doesn’t move.
Why isn’t she moving?
Why can’t you move?
“Bunny?” You call out a third time and swallow back nervously when she remains unresponsive, and Nanako doesn’t proceed to come out and meet you.
You try to move towards her, but your eyes remain on the insane amount of blood on the floor and you can’t find the strength to suddenly move a single fiber in your body. It doesn’t even feel like your chest is taking in breaths. You’re at a standstill with your heart beginning to pound, and the obscene scene ahead of you.
“Mimiko,” you call out sweetly. “Baby get up. Whatever it is, it’s okay. I’m not mad. Just get up. Please Mimiko.”
A wet streak running down your cheeks snaps you from your stupor and makes you confused about what it can be. So you move to touch the dampness, and when you pull your fingers out in front of you, you see that it’s a tear. You’re crying. Why?
Why isn’t Mimiko getting up?
You take a cautious step forward and see that just a bit away from the thick pool of blood is Nanako’s phone that’s easily identifiable because of her vibrant green bunny case; so you quickly pick it off the ground and wonder why it's discarded and bent and cracked, because Nanako always takes good care of her phone, and hardly ever parts from it.
So why? What happened? Your heart asks.
“Nanako?” You call out and step forward to see if she’s hiding near the elevators, but there’s no one there. There’s nothing here but a gash on the wall, purple blood sprayed across the walls, and thick and deep crimson blood all over the floor that seems to have pieces of flesh littered all over it.
“Nanako?” You call out just above a whisper and keep watching the end of the hall in hopes she’ll walk out of hiding.
Yet there’s just deafening silence and a sharp jab in your heart that makes you gasp. Yet no matter how hard your mind is trying to make you understand what you’re seeing, your heart refuses to let the message through. It fights back against all the intrusion from your insistent mind.
“Okay,” you murmur and wipe away the tears that keep running down your face before you put Nanako’s phone in your pocket since she’d hate it if you stored it in The Worm.
Next, you proceed to walk back to Mimiko and fall on your knees beside her. “It’s okay,” you assure her body that feels stiff under your touch. “It’s okay, baby,” you coo and gently tighten your hold around her arm to flip her to her back. And right away you see that her neck is missing her head.
However, you end up finding it just above her body so you crawl over to pick it up and place it where it’s meant to be.
“You’ll be okay,” you assure her and feel a sharper jab in your heart that hits deep this time and makes your whole body begin to tremble. “I'm calling for help,” you let her know.
You quickly pull your phone out but feel a stare burning into the back of your neck, so you look back and see that Choso’s face had abandoned that nonchalant expression, and replaced it with pity.
And yet, no matter how hard you try to get upset at him for looking at you like there’s nothing you can do, like the end of the world is upon you; when you stare into his eyes you feel your heart crack whilst something tightens around your throat, making it hard to breathe.
You see the harsh undeniable truth in his rich brown eyes, so you quickly look away and call Shoko.
Luckily she answers right away. She’s the only one who’s answered her damn phone.
“Y/N?” She calls out with worry laced in his voice.
“Ieiri,” your voice breaks without you wanting it to, revealing your current emotional state.
“Y/N?” She calls out louder. “What's wrong?”
You part your lips and a shuddery breath escapes past your lips before you answer. “I need your help…I found Mimiko…she needs your help, okay?” You begin to sound desperate. “I know you don’t owe me anything after everything, but Ieiri, this is my girl. She’s my baby girl, okay? You need to come help her, I already lost too much, I can’t go home without the twins. Please come help me,” your voice quivers.
Shoko draws out a deep breath before she responds with urgency. “Okay, I’m going. Just text me where you are and I’ll go. And tell me her condition, maybe you can help her until I get there.”
You nod rapidly and pick up Mimiko’s hand off the floor. “She—well,” you swallow thickly and try to answer, but nothing comes out as you’re hit with a painful blow to your chest that only makes the breath in your lungs come out.
“Y/N,” Shoko insists.
You blink repeatedly and more tears come rushing out.
“Well,” you mumble. “Her head….her head was ah,” you shudder. “Her head was sliced off. And...I think Nanako was sliced to pieces…but they’re here…Ieiri, they’re here. Come help them, please, please,” you beg softly.
“Oh,” Shoko gasps. “Oh, y/n…honey. Listen to me.”
You shake your head. “No,” you interject and grip tighter onto Mimiko’s hand. “No, no, don’t tell me that. Please don’t…they’re my girls. Okay? Maybe I can get them to you? Okay? I’ll have my friend here help me, or-or I can ask Kento.” You nod as you try to find a loophole around the truth she's about to utter. “He just needs to answer his phone first,” you laugh and more tears come rushing out.
“Y/N, I’m sorry,” Shoko says in a soothing voice that she only uses when she’s being serious. “I’m very sorry, but there’s nothing I can do…they’re gone. So why don’t you come up over here and be on standby, okay? I’ll meet you half—”
You hang up and proceed to put your phone away to cup Mimiko’s hand with the both of yours while you sit in silence and shock.
Your phone rings and you know it’s Shoko trying to comfort you, but you let the phone ring as you stare off at the pool of blood around Mimiko.
Whereas you were speaking to her before trying desperately to plead for your daughters to wake up from an impossible situation, now you sit in silence with your mind's cold message finally creeping into your heart.
It tries so hard to fight, accept anything else but what it sees, but there’s no hiding from the truth unless you want to end up in a hole you’ll never escape from.
And you can’t do that, you can’t fall into insanity because Satori still needs you, she needs her mother. Hakari and Kirara still need you to teach them so much more. Itadori is still out there, as well as Nanami, and everyone else that came to fight. Not only that but you still need to help your brother. More than anything he needs your help now, so you can’t shut off.
You can only break.
And it’s what happens, slowly, and agonizingly so.
Actually, you can barely feel it at first, there were only tears showing what your soul felt inside, but then that creepy grip wraps around your throat, making your breathing heavy as you try your hardest to draw in air to keep your lungs functioning and blood pumping. However, then that weight on your chest you were numb to seconds ago as you filled yourself with blinding hope, pushes back and smothers on more, causing you to start heaving.
Your heart starts to race against your chest and thumps loudly and painfully in your ears, causing you to start getting overwhelmed to the point your paralyzing shock holding you captive let's go, letting you get slammed with the realization that Mimiko and Nanako are dead.
They’re gone.
The girls you raised since Suguru saved them 11 years ago are gone. The girls you loved and promised to protect are gone…forever.
You’ll never be able to come home to them, you’ll never hear whatever silly story of their teenage life they have to tell. You’ll never watch movies on the couch, or share a spa night. You’ll never eat junk food on your bed and fall asleep to some cheesy movie, or grip onto them when they make you watch a scary movie with them.
What’s even worse is that you’ll never hold them again, or comfort them. You’ll never say that you love them, and you’ll never say goodbye…
You didn’t say goodbye.
They were probably so scared. They were alone and scared…
You told them no one would hurt them, and now they’re gone! They’re gone forever and you didn’t get to say goodbye. You’ll never get to tell them that you love them because they're gone!
They’re gone! They’re dead!
And you can’t breathe. You can’t breathe….
Breathe…
Breathe…
Your jaw goes slack as you gasp for air. You clutch onto your chest to try and ease the agony, to try and see if that helps, but you can’t breathe and it feels like you’re going to pass out.
That is until a heartbroken wail escapes past your lips that echoes throughout the hall.
It’s unlike anything else. You didn’t even cry like this when Suguru died. You didn't let yourself, and you couldn’t for your children’s sake, but you can’t hold it in now, you can’t let it pile on anymore. So you cry out again and drop your head on Mimiko’s chest.
You don't even care that Choso might be watching, but you still check. And when you do, you see that he’s not around. You’re alone…
And it hurts more.
But…you try your best to ignore your solitude for now and manage to speak. “I’m sorry,” your voice sounds raspy from how loud you just cried out. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry…I’m sorry.”
You drag your head up and put your forehead against Mimiko’s hand. “I'm sorry,” you repeat. “I'm sorry to you too Suguru…I’m sorry I couldn’t protect our girls. I’m sorry.” You sniffle and bring Mimiko’s hand down to press a kiss on her knuckles before you hug her arm against your chest.
If only you could do the same with Nanako too, but she’s gone, completely…
“I’m sorry,” you murmur, and as you draw out a shaky breath a hand falls on your shoulder, making you jump slightly before you look back and see, Choso.
“I thought you left,” you whisper, but feel a sense of relief that he didn’t.
“No,” he says and moves his hands, causing paper to rustle and making you look down to see a large paper map in his hands that only leaves you confused.
However, before you can ask what he needs that for, he extends the map over Mimiko’s body.
“Oh,” you mouth in surprise, and watch the paper cover her completely, leaving only her hand out since you keep it against your chest. “Thank you,” you manage to utter through the shakiness of your voice.
Choso steps back and looks over at you expecting not to catch your eye, but you had been watching him too so you lock eyes and offer him a warm thankful smile that is meant for much more than just covering your daughter's body.
He could’ve left, he should’ve left, but he stayed here and you weren’t alone because of it. He was here and even if he was in the background probably feeling awkward over what he had to witness, you still appreciate his presence. You appreciate his silence because even if he doesn’t say a thing at least you know he’s here.
You’ll always remember that because he was not here after the fact, he was here now, with you. And for that, you appreciate him.
“Really,” you make your gratitude known. “Thank you…” you trail off and sniffle. “And if you want, you can leave,” you contradict your inner thoughts to spare him if that’s what he wants. “Find your father, find what you need about Itadori…I’ll find him later…I just need a few more minutes with my girls.” You nod and offer him a kind smile while you hold his gaze.
Choso doesn’t look away first because unbeknownst to you his mind was running rampant. Besides his current feelings about his father and Yuji Itadori, you ran into the mix as well and confused him more.
Whereas he worshiped you before for what you meant to him, now it feels like you're at his level somehow.
It felt like you were almost unreachable before like you were only something he could admire and feel thankful for, but now it’s different. A bit. He still very much holds you above anyone he’s met, but now besides the way he has to catch his breath when you look at him, or besides feeling his face burn when you say something that makes his heart skip a beat, he now feels the need to fiercely protect you.
After hearing your heartache, and seeing your teary eyes, he wants to protect you so he doesn’t have to see you go through that again.
It’s partially why he didn’t leave when you said he could.
That, and well, before he can do much of anything else, he still also has some things to go over in his head about what he saw in that fake memory of Yuji Itadori.
——
*11:28 pm*
Everything aches and all you feel like doing is staying beside Mimiko. Even if you’re just sitting and staring off at the blood slowly drying on the floor, all you want to do is stay next to her.
Alas, you still need to keep your promise to find Itadori and be at his side as tonight continues to unfold. You need to save Satoru from Noritoshi Kamo, and eventually, you need to go home—even if you don’t want to return home without them, even if you don’t want to explain to your six-year-old daughter that her sisters won’t ever be coming home, and even if you don’t want to go back to your house and see the twins room empty, you still have to.
You need to get up even if it’s hard. You have to…
Get up…get up…
Get up.
Yet when you do stand on your own two feet you need a minute to catch your breath and grasp your surroundings. It felt like you weren’t even conscious in your body just now, it felt like an eternity passed around you.
In reality, though, only a few minutes have gone by. Which is good, if Itadori or anyone else needs your help, they need it now, not later. So it’s good that it's only been a few minutes, you can grieve properly later—
Grieve?
That sounds funny to think about.
It threatens to break you down all over again, but it also feels like you’re making it up. It’s crazy.
It’s just crazy to believe that you have to grieve Nanako and Mimiko. All because of who?
Noritoshi Kamo?
No, doubtful. It doesn’t seem like he would’ve killed them just because. You attacked him so he countered, plus when you saw the twins last it was where the trains stop, this is far from there, so it means it wasn’t him, it was someone else, but who?
Patchface?
He would’ve turned them into a curse if that was the case.
Volcano head?
No, he would’ve burnt them alive.
The other curse with them?
Doubtful.
So was it Sukuna? He’s out. Or he was out, it doesn’t sound like he is anymore.
But why would they have been close to Sukuna? Were they with Itadori?
You have to know. Later. For now, you let out a deep breath and wipe the stray tears off your face, and walk to Choso sitting against the wall a few paces away.
He sees you approaching and his lips part as he slowly sits up to begin to get up, but you plop down next to him and rest your head against the wall.
“Why didn’t you leave?” You break your silence with a raspy voice.
Choso stays quiet for a moment before he draws out a deep breath and responds quietly. “I don’t really have anywhere to go.”
You blink and slowly look over him with pity.
“Besides,” he adds. “I'm still thinking.”
You draw out a deep breath and nod slowly in comprehension. “So,” you probe and look down at the Worm draped around you. “What do you know now that you’ve had time to think?”
Choso lets out another deep breath and mumbles, “I’m still unsure, but I do know that I want to figure it out as I fight for him.” He nods softly. “I'll know soon even if it’s by my father's own mouth, or by my instincts alone.”
A tiny and exhausted smile tugs on your lips at the sound of his words. “Okay, I like the sound of that,” you compliment him and cause him to look over at you.
You also look at him and notice his lips part as if he wants to say something, so you wait. However, his eyes drift past you so you cut in. “I’m going to find Itadori too, and then get my brother back. Not for anyone else, because I know my parents are about to call me and pretend they care so I can help their golden boy. And the rest of the sorcerer society is going to expect me to save him, but,” you sigh. “I’m going to risk my life for my daughter's uncle, whom she loves. I’m going out there because I want to save my brother…” you trail off and share a comforting look.
“I guess what I'm trying to say,” you continue. “Is that if you’re going out there to find Itadori, it’s because you want to. Brother or not, you don’t have to go out there and risk your life. You’re free to do what you want after losing your brothers to him.”
Choso’s eyes drift down for a second before he looks back at you and you realize he makes incredible eye contact—“I need to know,” he says confidently. “And I owe it to my brothers to kill my father.”
You hum softly in comprehension and watch him stand to his given height. You’re about to get up, but he turns and offers you his hand.
His gesture surprises you, even if it shouldn’t, actually you don’t know why it surprises you so much. And you especially don’t know why you stare at his hand for a second longer than you wanted to, but you do and then put your warm hand on his cold one, making his breath hitch as he helps you to your feet.
“Sorry,” you immediately cut in and let your touch linger before you slide it off. “I run warm because of my technique.”
Choso assures you that it’s fine with a shake of his head, making you smile before you offer him a confident look.
“Let’s go kill your dad,” you try to encourage him.
Choso scoffs and the corner of his lips tug to a tiny half smile. “Let’s go,” he agrees with a small nod.
You step forward to begin walking away, but first, you look back at the body you’re leaving behind, and immediately your eyes fill with tears at the sight and the reminder that they’re both gone.
However, you only let a couple of tears roll out as you promise you’ll come back for them later, once your life is secure. You can’t risk having something happen to you or the Worm and losing their bodies along with it, so you’ll come after.
For now, you walk away with Choso with that positive energy long forgotten. You walk in silence now and on the brink of tears.
Choso steals glimpses at you, but he doesn’t know what to say, so he leaves the silence as it is until he has to interject with a question. “Do you also know where Yuji is?”
You break from your stupor and shake your head lightly. “No. I don’t have his location on my phone. We’ll just have to go off instinct or follow the sound of a battle. I’m sorry,” you whisper. “I can try and text him though.”
Without hearing his response you pull out your phone and send Itadori a quick message.
You to Itadori: Could you let me know where you’re at? Please. I’m going to you.
You sigh and as you put your phone away you hope he answers back. Unlike the others who haven’t even read your message.
“Uh,” you interject softly. “After this, Choso, I want to help you get your brothers back from the school.”
Choso snaps his head to you, and you slowly meet his surprised gaze and smile at him so he can know you’re being honest.
“There’s still what? 6 left, and I’ve gone in before, I can go in again,” you continue to explain through his shock. “And it’ll be easier because I currently go to the school for work. I mean sure the higher-ups and the principal won’t like it, but they can suck it because I don’t work for them. They could all die for all I care honestly,” you say without trouble or remorse for them.
“And,” you add in a sweeter and softer tone as you recall what he said a few minutes ago. “You all have a home in my community. You can go there.” You offer him an assuring smile, causing Choso’s chest to rise as his breath catches.
“Why?” He mumbles almost as if he’s out of breath.
You blink and sigh deeply. “Because,” you quickly respond. “I said I was going to take you all out before. I owe it to you to complete my promise.”
Choso lifts his eyes off your lips and meets your gaze to try and find out if you’re playing some cruel joke. But all he sees is what he saw before, what he sees in you all the time he looks into your alluring fire-kissed eyes, hope and warmth. He sees sincerity too in your grieving eyes.
So he trusts that you’re being honest.
Yet he still continues to doubt.
“But…we’re not like you,” he pauses and frowns, making his gaze show conflict that seems to make his brown eyes grow a deeper brown, almost as if they were cast over by a storm—“I’m not like you,” he clarifies. “I’m not…human.”
You stare into his eyes for a moment before you come to a stop, making him slowly mirror your action and face you with confusion mixing in with his conflict.
You proceed to hesitate as you hold his gaze, but then a few seconds later he swears he sees your eyes give off a spark, giving life to the fire lit in your eyes. And before he knows it you approach him and stop only a few inches away from where he stands.
“Give me your right hand,” you demand sweetly as you put your hand out.
Choso blinks in confusion and remains stiff, making you scoff and point at your palm facing the ceiling.
“Come on,” you insist. “Trust me, it’s okay. I mean we are going to fight together so you have to trust me or else we’ll probably die.” You smirk.
Choso’s arm twitches and he lifts his fingers, but he doesn’t give you his hand, so you continue insisting. “It’s okay, I trust you. Trust me.”
Choso lets out a deep breath through his nose and slowly lays his hand on yours, making you flash him a small and proud smile before you turn his hand so his knuckles are resting on your palm instead. You then proceed to gently place his hand against his heart, and you interlace your fingers in between his to press your fingertips against his chest.
And at the simple touch, you hear his breath hitch in the silence that fills the space between you as you feel for his heartbeat that doesn’t come at first. Since his layers are thick it takes a moment, so when you don’t feel anything, you press harder and finally feel that gentle ba-dum beat faster and faster.
“Feel that? That heartbeat?” You ask almost excitedly. “I do,” you assure him and smile at him softly.
Choso’s lips part, but nothing but a huff of air unfurls out. He also thinks you’re about to let go so he doesn’t bother trying to find something to say in the mess you’re causing in his mind. But then, you press your right hand over your chest and proceed to take his hand to place it over yours.
“It’s okay,” you assure him and interlace his fingers in between yours for him as you feel how stiff he is.
“Now feel,” you whisper and glance down for a second before your eyes flicker up to see that his gaze hasn’t broken away from you. He watches you instead of looking away or watching his hand. He holds your gaze with a deep intensity that makes you feel hot while your heartbeat thumps faster under his touch.
Not only that, but you then feel your heart skip a beat under your hands. And you hope he doesn't notice.
“Y-you,” you stammer so you stop and softly clear your throat. “You feel that right?” You ask with more confidence. “My heart beats just like yours,” you comfort him before you slip your hand off, causing his to fall to his side.
“My breath furls in my lungs, just like yours,” you continue and smile wider. “You’re human.”
Choso swallows thickly and neither of you can look away from the other for a moment that seems to grow tensful until he looks down at the floor and shakes his head. “Some of my brothers aren’t like us,” he argues. “They look different.”
You reach over and grab his shoulder, making him slowly look up at you with a deep frown painted on his face. “You see what’s around my neck right?” You quiere.
Choso glances at the worm and looks back at you.
“And a tiger cursed spirit has been almost stuck to my daughter's hip since she could open her eyes because Suguru wanted it to protect her when he couldn’t. She loves that thing, they’ve bonded,” you continue and share a small laugh. “So we see curses, we’re used to strange,” you nod. “And sure, it will take some people time to get used to seeing something new, but as long as they’re like you, as long as they don’t hurt anyone I love or anyone in the community, I’ll welcome them. And so will everyone else.”
Choso's eyebrows furrow and he gently shakes his head. “Why?” He asks.
“Why what?” You rebuttal. “Why we’ll welcome them? Well, that’s what the community is there for. That’s why I made it, so sorcerers like us can have a home…the world is not nice to sorcerers.” You sigh and grow sad as you think about Nanako and Mimiko. “So That’s why,” you finish answering his question.
Choso’s frown trembles and his furrowed eyebrows ease as his eyes grow soft and gleam…
Is he going to cry?
“Thank you, y/n,” he says in a soft voice.
You smile a bright grin as your heart skips a beat at the sight of his reaction and the sound of his voice.
“You’re welcome Choso,” you redirect and pat his shoulder before you give it a gentle squeeze. “Now come on before there’s nothing left to go to.” You chuckle and walk past him.
“Sorry,” you quickly add. “That joke was of poor taste.”
Choso doesn’t hesitate to fall by your side to walk alongside you towards the escalators. And once you’ve stepped on them and rode up, that short bliss fades away as you remember the tragedy that you were dealt. Again. So you frown as quickly as you just smiled.
Choso notices and wants to add something, but what can he tell you to make you feel somewhat better? He doesn’t know the feeling of losing children, but he does know loss, so he knows that what you feel won’t go away by simple words he can come up with; all you want is to see your daughters again, and he can’t give you that. He can’t give you the motivation of revenge because he doesn’t know exactly who killed your girls, he has an idea, but if that man is such a threat as he’s been told, then there’s no way you can defeat him alone, and he can’t send you to die. So all Choso can offer is words from his heart. After all, you trust him enough to tell him things you probably shouldn’t tell him.
“I have three parents,” Choso interjects, making you look over at him as you climb off the escalators. “My mother, the cursed spirit that impregnated her, and the man who mixed his blood with ours and toyed with my mother. Thereby earning my hate.”
He’s sharing?
“Oh, I’m sorry,” you say it from the heart. “I can’t imagine it was easy knowing he was doing all that and you couldn’t do anything about it.”
Choso shakes his head stiffly. “No…all I could do in the abyss was dream of killing him while I was trapped in that form. All I wanted besides getting my brothers out was acting out my revenge.”
You step out of the escalator and continue to walk down the hall to reach the next set.
“Did you know your mother?” You need to ask. “I mean I know the form you were in, but did you ever see her? I mean you were conscious, yeah?”
Choso nods stiffly and hums in agreement before he doesn’t hesitate to answer you. “All I remember of my mother is her voice of when she’d talk to me when I was inside her, and a glimpse of her face. I never had the chance to meet her, he never let her meet me.”
You watch the ground as your mind comes up with something assuring to tell him even if your own experience with your mother isn’t pleasant. “I’m sorry—”
“Don’t apologize,” Choso cuts you off. “You did nothing wrong. Her misfortune wasn’t your fault.”
You sigh and nod. “I know, but I’m still sorry that it happened to you. I’m sorry that you never got to know her, or that she never got to meet you.”
Choso eyes linger on you as he hums in comprehension.
“My mother never loved me…” you share suddenly without thinking about it, it just feels right to share something so deeply buried in your heart with him. “Maybe once, but she never loved me enough. She loved my brother,” you huff and glance up. “But never me. But I can say this…I love my children. All five of them,” you smile. “My children mean everything to me, so I can say this to you,” you pause and gather in a deep breath. “I’m sure your mother loved you and your brothers, for you to have such pleasant memories even if they’re few, and for you to have an undying love for her, means she loved you. I’m sure. So be content with that and live for her. Just as you live to act out your revenge against your father, live for her. Don’t let your father win, make him mad, and make him regret what he made, be his nightmare. That’s why my parents are alive, I live to make them mad.” You smirk.
Choso watches you and his lips turn to a soft smile that makes butterflies flutter wildly in your stomach.
“That’s what I plan to do,” he rebuttals. “I owe it to my brothers. And Yuji.”
You smile at the ground and pick on that. “So you know now?”
Choso hums. “Thanks to my cursed technique I can sense the transformation of my younger brothers through our blood connection. No matter how far they are” he says and earns your undivided attention. “For living things, death is the final and greatest transformation. I saw it with my own eyes. I had an intense sensation of Yuji Itadori’s death…” he pauses and looks down at his clenching fist. “…that must mean Yuji is my brother.”
You can’t help but admire his devotion. Just a few minutes ago he was still unsure and he still wanted to fight for him. Now that he knows you can sense a more fierce devotion that you admire.
“It’s going to take a hell of a good explanation for you to convince him of that, I’m afraid I can only help so much,” you let him know the harsh truth.
“Yes.” Choso nods. “I know, but fighting for him, and sticking by his side will help convince him.”
You laugh softly and nod. “Yeah, I’m sure. Just don’t give up.”
“Never.”
And you’ll never give up on your brother either.
“I admire your devotion Choso,” You compliment him, making his cheeks grow a shade of crimson that he hides by turning his head.
“Thanks,” he mumbles.
You hum and climb on the last pair of escalators, thankfully!
“And your brother?” He asks.
You exhale. “I told you already. I’m going to get him back and kill that man in Suguru’s body to finally put him to rest…like I should’ve done a long time ago…” you scoff and shake your head in disapproval. “I should’ve disposed of his body the right way. None of this would be happening if I had. My daughters—”
“No,” Choso cuts you off sharply. “Noritoshi is a cruel man. This is his fault, he was probably already creeping around Geto waiting for the right moment to take his body. It’s what he does. He is chaos and evil, that’s what he is, this is his fault.”
You blink your tears away and see him tilt his head so you can meet his gaze as he attempts to be reassuring.
You think.
His eyebrows are pinched together, and his frown stays curled on his face so it’s hard to know, but you see his attempts and thank him for it, whilst you also mentally thank him for not leaving you alone.
If he hadn’t been with you, you probably would’ve stopped and broken down again. You owe your motivation to him.
“Thank you, Choso,” your voice quivers nonetheless.
Choso’s face finally softens completely as he hums and offers you a soft nod.
You hold his gaze until you step out of the escalators and finally begin to leave the damn station. Its felt like an eternity.
“Uh,” Choso adds timidly. “Happy…birthday….you’ve mentioned it was. So happy birthday?”
You steal a glimpse at him and then laugh with tears coming out of your eyes.
“Oh,” Choso breathes out in confusion. “Sorry?”
You immediately shake your head. “No, no. It’s not your fault. It’s just been a hell of a day…I woke up today and all my kids scared the shit out of me when I walked in the kitchen and saw them there, holding a cake and poppers.” You can’t help your smile before you sigh deeply. “Now I’m here…But at least you’re here too, so I’m glad.” You assure him and nudge his shoulder with yours before you pull your phone out and miss him stealing a glimpse at you.
“Now,” you add, “I’m going to make a call, so excuse me.”
Nevertheless, the person you call doesn’t answer, because of course he doesn’t. Everyone’s been screening your calls tonight!
At least though, the next person you call almost always answers, so you call them.
And thankfully they pick up, but all you hear is distant commotion so you speak up first in a soothing voice. “Kira, it’s me, it's Mama.”
A few seconds pass before you hear them exclaim. “Master?! We heard what happened in Shibuya, are you there?”
You sigh and rub your eyes as you nod. “Yeah, I’m here—”
“Are you okay? Do you need backup?”
“No,” you rebuttal sharply. “No. Don’t. Is Hakari with you?”
Kirara hums in agreement.
“Okay,” you say. “Well thank him for answering his phone, I just called him.”
“Sorry,” Hakari interjects through Kirara’s phone. “It’s dead!” He yells.
You scrunch your nose and pull your phone back as he offends your eardrums. “Well,” you say louder so they can hear. “Put me on speaker.”
You hear Kirara smack their lips through the phone before they give you their confirmation. “You’re on!”
You smile sweetly and put your phone back to your ear to threaten them. “If I see either of you in Shibuya, or even catch a whiff of either of your techniques I will cut off all financing.”
“Master,” Hakari tries to argue, but you cut him off.
“No fight club, no gambling, bye-bye social life, and farm work for a year. Understood?” You ask smugly.
“Hard labor is not training,” Kirara grumbles.
You laugh softly. “So is. I’ll make it training. Don’t come to Shibuya,” you make yourself known with a threatening voice. “I…” you pause and exhale deeply. “I know you’re both strong, but I…can’t lose more people, so please for my sake stay where you are, hm?”
There’s silence for a moment as they grasp the sudden tone shift in your voice.
“Got it,” Kirara assures you for the both of them. “Is everything okay?”
You let out a shaky breath and shake your head. “No,” you confess. “But I’m okay. I’ll call later or tomorrow to explain everything, all right? I just needed to give you this warning.”
“All right,” Hakari agrees. “But call if you need help. We’ll go help you, not the school. You alone.”
The corner of your lips tug to a soft smile at the sound of his meaningful words and devotion. “I will. If I need help…” you trail off and sigh. “I,” you continue and look over at the exit you’re finally close to. “I appreciate you guys you know that? I’m proud of the both of you…I love you guys.” You whisper with tears in your eyes. “Just in case you don’t hear from me now you know.”
A moment of silence passes before you hear chuckling.
“You’re such a sap, master,” you recognize Hakari say. “This is why you would have made such a sucky teacher.”
You giggle and can’t help but agree. “Yeah true, but I like to think I make a good mentor to you two. Yeah?”
“Of course,” Kirara assures you. “The best. We love you too.”
Tears slip past your eyes and you cherish their words. “Thank you. And…goodbye…I’ll call soon, hm?”
“All right, we'll be on alert,” Hakari says. “Kick ass master.”
“Kicking ass and taking names,” you play around. “That’s what we do.” You smile and just need to say it one more time. “Goodbye.”
“Bye!”
“Bye goodnight—” they hang up and you keep your phone by your ear for a second longer before you put it away when you finally step outside into the fresh air! Finally!
Yet just as you’re about to say how thankful you are to be under the night sky and comment on how good the air smells like fire, a hand wraps around your mouth and you’re pulled back into darker shadows.
“Quiet,” Choso commands by your ear.
Your eyes widen, and you slowly peer back at him instead of trying to find what he spotted and catch him looking ahead.
“To the left, there’s a curse,” he whispers, and you continue to watch him. “It doesn’t seem dangerous, but we can’t afford a distraction right now.”
You should’ve pulled away right when he warned you to be quiet but you stayed in his arms, why?
Why does he make your mind all cloudy?
You need to stop getting distracted by him.
Then again, it’s good that you are because even if he doesn’t try to be he’s been your savior. You need to be distracted to avoid falling into a pit of agonizing grief. However, the way he makes your heart race and causes butterflies to flutter is something you haven’t felt in a while, and it’s a bad distraction at the moment when you’re in dire need to focus.
“We can get around it,” Choso adds.
You pull away from his grasp to poke your head out.
And the moment you look out your eyes widen with horror and a sharp gasp leaves your lips as you see the large six-legged curse in the middle of the street just outside the veil.
“What the hell?!” You hiss and step back under the cover of the shadows. “That’s a…ugh,” you groan and quickly realize that the curse was placed there on purpose.
It’s right outside the doors you just exited, and it’s by the veil that Itadori is probably in. Plus…it’s a spider-like curse. You hate, hate spiders. You’re terrified of them, it’s like, a phobia.
Suguru knew that, so it must mean the man using his body knows that too. He placed the damn curse there to slow you down.
What a fucking ass!
“We can’t go around,” you grumble and look up to meet Choso’s confused gaze. “It’ll add 15 more minutes or so to our walk. And that’s not even counting the fact that we don’t know where Itadori is exactly. It could take us a long time to find him too.”
“I can lead us to Itadori,” Choso quickly interjects.
You nod softly. “I’m sure,” you argue. “But I’m scared of spiders,” you share with growing annoyance at this situation. “Suguru knew that. So it means your father does too, that curse is out there to stop me from getting close to him. Just like that curse that trapped me earlier was meant to slow me down…he’s playing mind games because that’s my weakness. So it must mean he’s close.”
Choso sighs and glances at the curse out there. “Then I’ll go and distract it and you go past the veil and reach Itadori, he’s not far. I can feel it,” he suggests, but you quickly rebuttal.
“Didn’t you hear me? It’s a curse meant for me, I’ll kill it. Just…don’t leave,” you sound scared, but not scared of what’s waiting for you, but scared to actually be alone since the twins died. He sensed that.
“I won’t,” he assures you and meets your gaze with a determined gaze.
You draw in a deep breath and nod softly.
“We can fight it together,” Choso adds, making your lips slowly pull to a smirk.
“I like the sound of that,” you quip smugly and reach back to take a long blade out of the Worm's mouth to save your technique's strength for later. “Let’s make this quick then.”
“It doesn’t seem strong,” he says nonchalantly. “We can do it.”
You offer him a simple nod and before you can waste any more time, you walk out to meet the curse first, and it immediately catches a whiff of your presence and spins around to face you with its ten beady eyes that make your grip tighten as your breath hitches.
The curse lets out a sharp but low whistle and crawls forward, making you step back. It then tilts its head to the left before tilting it to the right and blinking all ten eyes.
“Okay,” you breathe out nervously and dig the tip of your shoe into the ground before you break into a hasty sprint forward.
The curse doesn’t move, so you manage to slide under it and slice open its belly with your blade before you reach the other end of its body.
And even then it doesn’t react violently, instead, it begins to move its thin legs as it begins to turn around, but once it faces you, you immediately freeze in horror as you see Nanako’s face looking back at you.
The curse displays her face on its body. Her light brown hair drapes down, and it matches her deep brown eyes so they’re the ones looking back at you now; the eyes of the girl you never got to say goodbye to, the eyes and face of the girl you never got to see for a last time because of how she died.
It’s using your memory, and your pain connected to her face to stop any of your attempts to fight back.
And it worked, you can’t move a muscle, you can’t even think of harming it. All you can muster are tears of sorrow as your face contorts to display your heart's agony.
“I,” you mewl and drop the blade in your hand as if entranced by this curse. “I’m sorry Nanako,” you say even if you know it’s not her.
The curse lets out a sharp cry before it begins to sprint towards you on all six legs.
You step back, but you’re entranced by the face on Its body so can’t react beyond that. You want to, your body is screaming at you to move, but your mind doesn’t send that message to your limbs, so it gets closer and closer. Until suddenly you catch a quick flash of Choso before you’re shoved back and fall back to the ground.
And at the moment of impact, you snap from your trance and go on your knees to shove yourself to your feet and help. However, before you can, you then catch Choso’s blood arrow impale through Nanako—no the curses neck. It’s the curse even if it still has on her face.
Alas the curse doesn’t die, it stumbles back and raises one sharp leg in return, but Choso quickly counters by meeting its swing with two sharp blood claws, causing your lips to twitch to an impressed smile.
However, you then notice the curse try to rebuttal by discreetly raising another one of its legs to jab it through Choso, but without thinking you quickly throw your fist out to blast it a whirlwind of air that shoves it back and saves Choso.
And the moment he notices that he peers back out of surprise, so you briefly meet his gaze before you glance at the curse and pull out a thin and sharp piece of the ground to shove it through its neck, causing its head to fall off.
Yet just before it can hit the ground it grows legs from its head in midair, so you use the wind to keep it in place. And just before you can make a finishing blow, Choso's previous blood arrow remerges and cuts through the barrier of air to shoot through the curses head and finally exorcize it.
And it’s only once its head is on the ground that its face returns to what it was before he used Nanako’s face.
“Thank—”
“I'm sorry,” you quickly apologize for your mistake, almost as if you feared his reaction. “I’m sorry. I froze, I’m sorry.”
Many people have told you to not apologize so much, Yuki punched you in the gut once because of it. But you can’t help it, you fear the consequences because of your parent's reaction when you’d make a mistake.
“Y/N,” Choso mutters and turns to face you. “Stop apologizing,” he insists and walks over to you to get on his knees in front of you still on your knees. “The curse is dead, that’s all that matters.”
You shake your head. “We were supposed to help each other,” you rebuttal to explain yourself. “I let you down, I'm sorry.”
Choso holds your gaze for a second before shaking his head. “You didn’t,” he assures you. “You didn’t expect it to do that, that’s why my father put it here. He wanted to be cruel to you to stop you. That’s what he does, but don’t let him win.”
…he’s right, but it doesn’t make what happened right. Nanako is gone, you knew that and you still let it affect you. Choso could’ve gotten hurt because of it. You could’ve gotten hurt because of it…
Just like fake Suguru wanted.
Of course, he probably didn’t think it’d be the twins that affected you, he probably expected it to be someone else you've lost. But he wanted to weaken you that way. He wanted to play with your mental state expecting you to be alone now that he has your brother.
And it worked even if you weren’t alone. But why should you let that keep affecting you? He wants to fight? You’ll fight. He wants you upset? You’ll be pissed.
No more games.
You’re not weak like he wants you to believe.
The twins wouldn’t let you tear yourself down because of it, they believed you were strong, you’ll prove them right and continue to be strong for them.
You’ll get Satoru back, and kill that man in Suguru’s body. You’ll fight back with all your strength and prove him wrong. You’ll be mad at him. All your anger will be directed at him because that's what he wants.
“Let’s go find Itadori,” you interject.
Choso nods in agreement. “He’s not far I can take us to him,” he lets you know.
You hum in agreement and then begin to smirk. “And then we’ll find your father,” you grimace.
“And kill that bastard,” Choso finishes your sentence with the same amount of menacing determination you have now.

So I just read a meta about how Yuji is not at all parallel with Getou. "Because Yuji is really kind from his heart unlike Getou...." Can I ask, is there really an interview where Gege said that Getou is too kind in the cruel JJK universe? Do you agree with the parallel between Yuji and Getou?
[I apologize beforehand, this kinda got long because I got into the topic and I'm running on low HP. So this may be a little all over the place. 😅]
Okay, so I don't know if there is an interview of such a topic (I'm still "new" to JJK, like I'm just being more active again enough though I had been into the since it premiered and picked up the manga, not important right now though) but I can answer that second question!
I disagree with the fact that Yuji and Suguru can't be compared because Yuji is "too kind". Don't get me wrong, my boy is so kind. And the same be said for Suguru once upon a time.
So I do agree with the parallels.
The thing is, Suguru didn't start off as some evil guy. And even if he did, that doesn't mean him and Yuji can't be parallels to each other, let alone be compared.
Sometimes, it seems forgotten that Suguru was just a child, too, when his life took a whole different course. He was just a year older than what Yuji is when he witnessed the death of Riko. At 17-18 years old, he finally snapped.
Sure, they're totally different characters on the surface. When you see Suguru, you wouldn't think Yuuji and vice versa. It takes sitting down and letting your mind wander and seeing those similarities.
If there are hero characters that serve as parallels to their villains, I don't see why Yuji being "too kind" would be an issue to why he can't serve as a parallel to Suguru.
Now, I don't know if Gege wants us to see them as parallels, but I do see that the characters share some similarities. Wrote a post of said similarities way back when, but I'll do a recap here!
Small details are that they're both are/have been in a trio that consists of them (Suguru and Yuji), a girl with a bob (Shoko and Nobara) and another guy who comes from a high-status clan with a string technique born in December (Satoru and Megumi). They both lost a limb (Yuji lost a hand and Suguru lost a whole arm), fought some old guy, has fought Yuta, and has a thing for loose clothing.
Now, I see those more as coincidences. But there are bigger details that more-so dwell into and shape into their characters.
They have witnessed someone die in front of them and someone's death had set them off somehow to the point of Suguru and Yuji being enraged and questioning how things work.
Suguru was less than a yard away when Riko was killed in front of him and moments later, Toji tells him about Satoru. Suguru was already still in shock with Riko's death since it just happened and then Toji pushed him further with Satoru's "death" (yes, Suguru didn't see Satoru die, but his "death" was a trigger for him, like that's his other half right there). There's also Haibara's death. Haibara's death was definitely another tragedy for Suguru given that Haibara was kinda the hope spot for their group. He was literally the sunshine and then that dreadful mission happened.
Yuji witnessed both deaths of Junpei and Nanami at the hands of Mahito. And as had death had been for Suguru, their deaths affected him greatly. Junpei's demise kicks off Yuji's hatred for Mahito and it's just the beginning of how his character begins to change. Yuji starts off more optimistic in the story, by the time the Shibuya Incident Arc ends, he has pretty much dulled. He already accepts his death in the beginning, doing what he can to save people. But then, he lost his fight against Choso, Sukuna did what he did and then Mahito came and killed Nanami and (seemingly) Nobara.
Both characters came to the realization that the jujutsu world sucks. They're just tools ordered by others (the Higher Ups 🙄) who don't do a damn thing really, to kill curses that will just keep coming. They accept that, but in different ways. For Suguru, he deflects and decides to "fix the problem" by killing the cause of Curses. Which is humans, or to be specific: non-shamans. For Yuuji, when he accepts it, it's when he has his final battle with Mahito. He doesn't decide to kill humans. He just accepts that "Well, Mahito, you're right, I am you. I am a killer."
Crazy thing is, when both Suguru and Yuuji hit their breaking points and kill/attempt to kill someone (Suguru with the village and Yuji with Mahito), it wasn't like they're enjoying it for revenge purposes or anything. They're both emotionally drained and just act on the simple nature of being a jujutsu sorcerer/curse user. They have those dead looks in their eyes.
Another trait they share is swallowing cursed things, which, again, plays into shaping their characters.
Suguru swallows curses and does not enjoy the taste at all. And it's something he has to do over and over and over. Curses are nothing but trouble for him. In his past, he uses his technique for saving, to do good as he believed he should do. When he chooses to be a curse user, he uses his technique in exchange for money. As a teenager, he pretty much was using a technique that slowly was mentally destroying him for people who wouldn't even know he was saving them and for people who wouldn't care less about him. If he's going to swallow the thing that he hates most just as much as he does for non-shamans, he might as well do it benefit himself.
His technique, piled on with the deaths he witnessed as well as the ugliness of people changed Suguru for the worse.
Same could be said for Yuuji. While he doesn't have to do it as often Suguru does, he still gets just as much mental damage as Suguru. At first, he handles it a little better, it's even played for laughs a little. When he first swallows one of Sukuna's fingers, it's to save his friends and Megumi. He doesn't think about it, he acts on it. When he swallows the second finger, it kicks in how gross it is, but he brushes off the taste. The third finger, he wasn't even conscious for. Sukuna swallowed that one. Four finger, again, Sukuna did that. However, even though Yuuji is aware that the more fingers he swallows, the closer his execution date is, and isn't sure how many fingers it would take for him to lose control of Sukuna, he just asks "should I eat it"?
It's when fingers 5-15 are consumed when things really hit Yuuji hard. He loses his fight against Choso, and is unconscious and close to death, which allows the Hasaba Twins to feed him finger #5. Jogo comes along and feeds him the next 10 fingers.
Sukuna takes over and we know what happens after that.
After Sukuna destroys Shibuya, he dumps that trauma on Yuuji who blames himself for the destruction. It goes down even further down hill for him.
Speaking of Sukuna, that's another thing they share. Not Sukuna, but body possession.
Both Suguru and Yuuji's bodies become vessels for 1000+ year old beings that cause nothing but problems for everyone else all while they're being used for other's advantages.
Kenjaku possesses Suguru's body to use his technique. Sukuna possess Yuuji's body as a way to be brought up into the world. Although he doesn't have control of Yuuji's body all the time, whenever he does, he makes sure to make the most of it.
(And if you're a manga reader, you know he definitely have done that.)
It also strikes me as interesting that both characters have a connection to Kenjaku in some way. As mentioned, Suguru's body is possessed by Kenjaku and Kenjaku is responsible for Yuuji existing. And I just know that had to be foreshadowed, too.
That part when that the Worm Curse Toji had comes in contact with Suguru can calls him "mommy"? Yeah... Suguru becomes a mom, alright. Adopts twins a year later, dies years later after that, body gets possessed. And what do you know! Suguru's body gets possessed by Kenjaku... who just before taking Suguru's body had been parading around as Kaori Itadori... Yuuji's mother!
Really, what sets Suguru and Yuuji apart is that Suguru ended up from being a hero character to a villain.
For two characters to never had interacted, they do have similar stories.

SPOILERS FOR JJK CHAPTER 259 AND A LONG ASS RANT I JUST HAD TO GET OUT
Look, it's not just that I'm sad Choso is likely getting killed off. He's my personal favorite, and honestly, him sacrificing himself for his last living brother, atoning for the death and harm he caused beforehand, yeah normally it would actually feel right for him to go out this way.
EXCEPT WHAT WAS THE POINT?! Yuki sacrificed herself so he could keep fighting. She had this big, emotional thing where she encouraged Choso to not just throw his life away, to live on and embrace his humanity. It sucked this awesome character who barely got any focus went out so quickly but okay, fuckon fine, but at least she was able to impart something meaningful to-
Oh wait Choso's dead? Just like that? Welp fuck it.
I'm sorry I know, I KNOW, since the very beginning we get told this is a dangerous world, we learn early on that death, cruel, unceremonious death, is a very real thing that just comes with the deal of being a sorcerer. But the narrative clearly wants us to care about these characters. It's not just a nihilistic slog. We're supposed to get attached and find meaning in these characters and the hardships they have to deal with. And I wouldn't be so pissed if Gege didn't keep doing this thing where he keeps killing off characters and ending arcs seemingly because he just doesn't really know what else to do with them in the story. It's not good story telling. I'm sad Choso most likely is dead but I'm more annoyed because I don't feel more sad. It feels so anticlimactic and borderline lazy.
If you set up a characters arc and it ends with them dying and we as the readers are meant to give a shit, there needs to be follow through. Commit to the themes and the tone being established. It's just such a waste and honestly I'm starting to care less and less about how this is going to end. I'm guessing it'll end with Sukuna somehow being defeated but I doubt by the end of it I'll put down my phone and think "man what a satisfying conclusion. I'm glad I read this." I'm probably mostly going to think "wow this could have been way better, but ok,I guess I'm glad I finished it." And that makes me bummed out.

yeah, Jujutsu Kaisen it's a tragedy, and i LIVE LAUGH LOVE tragedies and, yes gege intentions are clear: he wants us to feel sad, repulsed, angry, mad, etc., but to me that doesn't excuse a few poor decisions he made when telling us, the audience, his history thus making it a bad writing
of course i'm not happy seeing gojo's body being used as a weapon even in his death, but that's clearly part of the tragedy, it's sad, it's heartbreaking and that's what tragedies are
but that doesn't excuse his death being offscreen
i get it, he doesn't like gojo, but to the point of not showing us his death, when nanami, nobara, yuki, choso and everybody else got their moments? nah, that's not right bro especially because in the chapter prior to his death everything is "okay" making it SO sudden for us, almost making no sense at all because wtf? how did this happen?, and that's why we kept theorizing he was coming back (since he did it once, with toji and the whole "you should have gone for the head" thing)
i get it, flashbacks are necessary sometimes, but if you have to explain such a big plot twist solely through flashback and no foreshadowing at all, you're weak
i'm sorry to say this but this is such a weak-ass resource when used poorly and it was used very poorly
this conversation was supposed to be shown to us BEFORE anything ever happened because that's how you hint to the audience that hey, this may not be going where you think it's going, that's how you set the tone for the history
you can't have an abrupt death and this plot twist explained through flashback because it looks like you didn't think your history through and you're just having to make up some explanations now to justify your past decisions
i personally believe he let his deep dislike for gojo affect his capacity to make plot decisions regarding him but guess what? gojo satoru is a very important part of the plot and you can't just pretend sloppy choices about how you portray his character and his fate are not going to have a deep impact on how the audience is going to react because he's not some secondary character we can brush over like it's nothing
gojo satoru is the people princess and if you can handle creating such a powerful character (in terms of popularity and impact in the history you made) don't create it because if you don't wrap very well how things are going to unfold you lose the magnificence of what you created so far
that's the thing about tragedies man, they have to be very well written and thought through otherwise it just seems you like to shock the audience with cheap tactics

i genuinely think this second half of jjk is going to be so good animated (given mappa can get their shit together). i honestly think the story has usually been better on the screen than on the page save for a few pages, panels, chapters, and maybe one arc.
i think the main benefit the manga brings is the ability to slow down the pace, take in more information and process things vs the anime's breakneck pace. I think this works especially in the origin of obedience arc and somewhat in hidden inventory/premature death (though i still think the anime improved on this arc) and even during junpei's arc to an extent. I found myself dwelling on certain panels for a long time, flipping back through the pages to take in the story, and just generally reading slowly and thinking about the characters and the themes.
(I don't think it's a coincidence these are the most character driven arcs in the story. I also don't think it's a coincidence they came early on, or that they were in the old art style which I heavily prefer)
by the time we got to the shibuya arc however, i found myself breezing through pages, practically skipping over whole fights (don't get me started on that grasshopper) and only really stopping when something about the power system/magic system pissed me off. and I haven't really slowed down since.
megumi's section in the culling games arc was pretty good, the fight dynamics with his developed shadow technique were really interesting. yuuta's section was okay, but his opponents were boring or annoying, and the power system got even more fucked in this section. choso vs. naoya was visually cool and i liked choso's character development. yuuji v yuuta was an amazing fight, and i loved the my own private idaho scene right after + itafushi moments. yuki & choso vs kenny was nice and had good character moments woven in. i love higuruma bc im on tumblr of course i do. and sukuna taking over megumi's body was absolutely devastating and I'm never going to get over it.
but I don't think i really slowed down like I used to until gojo's death in "go south". which was such a beautiful chapter and really hit me across the face with how much it felt like old jjk, which only made me hyperaware of how much everything else didn't.
I feel like the sped up pace of the anime is gonna cover up for how much less deep the manga has become. when i slow down now, I'm only confused, pissed, or disappointed. but the hype shit is still pretty hype, and the fights are better in the anime anyway. since that's basically all the manga is right now.... hopefully that will feel a little better once mappa's animators get their hands on it. they did a good job with shibuya, i was so along for the ride. whereas in the manga, i kept getting bored and finding cracks in the writing that have only opened up so much wider.
unfortunately, I'm worried that the anime will only be able to cover up so much, and the loss of depth, meaningful character work and thematic development will still be apparent. I'm more worried that a sped up pace combined with the less coherent power/magic system developments will be confusing and distracting. and I'm worried problems with the studio will cause quality to drop (or worse it'll stay the same but working conditions will as well), but I'll hold my concern on that til there's actually something to be concerned about (which there is for working conditions, but anyway...)
empty spectacle still ends up feeling empty at the end of the day, even if the spectacle gets bigger, and that's what I'm really concerned about. but maybe my opinion is just changing bc i switched from binging chapters to reading week to week, and from anime only to caught up on the manga...... I don't think so lmao. but maybe.

Hello, I'm new to the jujutsu fandom, I've already watched season 1 of the movie and I'm in season 2 of jujutsu, I also follow the jujutsu manga, I liked your tumblr and started following you, I like your analyzes and you make me understand more jujutsu, thank you. I have a question, don't you think Sukuna is a boring villain, sorry, but he's too annoying, even Mahito is more interesting than him and it's impressive that Mahito gave more weight to the work than Sukuna, Sukuna killed Gojo and his death It had no significance in the work, it's something terrible, I think the author got lost.
Ah thank you so much! Glad the blog could add to the JJK experience!
Personally, I am getting a little tired of Sukuna never being phased. I'd understand his constant victories if we got more insight into his Cursed Technique but we still have no explanation for what he is and how he came to be, very little Sukuna info has been unlocked since the beginning so it feels kind of frustrating for me.
I can't tell what the author is thinking, but I think the number of deaths is getting to us as readers. People just keep on losing and dying with little impact on those that are alive. Deaths had a huge impact at the start of the story. Like S1, Junpei's death shook Yuuji so bad that he entirely changed his way of thinking. But he only knew Junpei for like a day. So when characters like Nanami, Nobara, Gojo and many more people that Yuuji has known for months die, I think equal levels of impact is expected on Yuuji.
But that doesn't happen.
We don't know Yuuji's mental state after witnessing his teacher die. The excessive focus on fights without slowing down to let the characters grieve or process what they've seen is likely impacting how we see Sukuna, his fights, and his powers.
Like why wasn't Yuuji freaking out more when Higurama died? What was he really going through when he saw Higurama and got reminded of Nanami? A moment's pause, just focused on the grief of that could up the stakes and make Sukuna, if not interesting, at least someone we can hate more.
Emotions and character interactions are what gives a story stakes. We care that Gojo died not only because he's the only person who can stand up against Sukuna, but also because he is someone we connected with emotionally from S1. His death will make characters we love devastated.
When you take away the emotion, the sense of loss and don't show that, the fights become boring. Yuuji's still moving and seems to hold the same attitude as the beginning of Culling Games while fighting Sukuna right now after witnessing multiple deaths.
You could say he's hardened his heart and has gone numb to everything but that's speculation as readers, it'd be way more meaningful if we see Yuuji falling into that kind of state, or be shown to have some kind of emotion and reaction.
My one big critique for JJK is pacing. It's fight after fight after fight. Okay, bad take when the manga is literally called "Sorcery Fight" but I am no stranger to manga/anime entirely focused on fighting (I've read a weirdly high amount of martial arts and hand to hand combat manga). Even in most fight-centric stories, we get breaks, we get characters talking to each other. Like how come we STILL haven't gotten a proper, extended interaction between Yuuji and Yuuta that isn't a fight? Has Yuuji even spoken to Maki? How does Ino feel about Choso?
I think it's why I enjoyed the Yuki v Kenjaku fight more. The fight was interspersed with moments of character interaction.
No stakes and impact makes it boring. Sukuna's the most dangerous villain now and he keeps defeating people without proper explanation or faltering in any real way so like, why would we care? Sukuna's going to win against anyone that isn't Yuuji, so what's the point? It used to be fun for me to try to understand how Sukuna does the things he does. I still enjoy watching him beat the shit outta people but i do admit it's getting tiring.
Sure, the CT and Domain expansions whenever an improvement is shown are very cool but it'd help if we could slow down a little and talk about the character interactions. Honestly Sukuna himself can remain a mystery but our MCs should get more backstory and emotional moments.

My full thoughts on the Shibuya Incident
Initially I was kind of hyped. With someone as powerful as Gojo, he had to have something done to him for the story to continue. It literally would be impossible to have high stakes if every fight was "we are waiting patiently for Satoru's big cock to get here so we can jerk him off right now!!!" Its great for narrative tension. Combined with the deaths in the first section/ season one of the anime, it really was good. I love that he got jar Douman'd. (A little meme for NA FGO players to enjoy.)
I fell in love with Geto so the fake Geto stuff is sad, but he is so hot. Geto is literally one of the hottest characters in the verse. I don't care that he isn't really Geto. I'm still down bad for him. Him being Choso's dad and Yuji's mom doesn't even bother me. I know it should. Everything about this man should bother me, but I don't think he knows what is wrong with him. He is cooking with the stove off and no oil in the pan, but that's okay. I'll just cook dinner instead. I'll fix him. Maybe... though for real? He is just a good overall "I'm here for chaos" villain. His plan is nonsensical, but DAMN he is PLANNING! Everything has gone right for him! Even better than he hoped sometimes!!! That's hot. You can't tell me that isn't so sexy. He is so fucked up. I need him biblically. Not sure I want to be experimented on, but with that face? I'd probably say yes.
THE DEATHS............................................ I can't think of a single one that was worth it. Mahito was the only person I wanted to die by arc's end, and it wasn't brutal enough for me to be satisfied.
Rip Hanami and Jogo. Best married couple. Dagon, our little creature, rip. You eating all those people were adorable, you did nothing wrong.
NANAMI 😭 NOBARA 😭 GETO'S DAUGHTERS 😭
At least they can be dead together .....😭
WHY DIDN'T MEI MEI DIE!!!!!!!!!??????? I HATE HER!!!!!! Literally the arc would have been better if she died. I'm not kidding.
Thank goodness Maki didn't die. I just... ahhhh.
The principal dying....................... pointless and stupid. Literally didn't know him and then he died. This felt like Gege wanted to kill off someone else and just did a lottery.
Toji gets a "best dad award!" We love him. 💕
CHOSO IS THE BEST CHARACTER IN THE FRANCHISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOTHING IS BETTER THAN A GUY WHO LOVES HIS BROTHERS AND MOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I NEED THIS MAN!!!!!!!!! I NEED HIM NOW AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
I'd do anything for Choso.
Miwa and Mechamaru (I don't know what his real name is sorry.) ........... honestly nothing hurts worse than that subway scene. I wish they could have been together. It just... I get it but I hate the themes of JJK. I might hate the story too at this point. I just am on the train to see the trainwreak.
Sukuna somehow takes sexy evil and makes it unsexy and boring. I want to like him, but gosh its so hard to. He is really... boring... Just like how it took me a while to realize I was being tsundere for Gojo, I just haven't decided how I feel about him. Like okay him blowing away that many people is hot but he made Yuji cry......I'm just kidding I just feel like he has yet to have any qualities I see as redeeming or interesting, and his psyche isn't as bizarre and confusing as fake Geto so I don't want to put him in an observation chamber and study him. I need some information about him. I have no attachment. I think Hidden Inventory made me like Gojo so if we get anything about Sukuna's past I'll feel some way about him.

Choso Kamo x Reader
Warnings: sfw. mention of nudity but it's really nothing graphic. very brief nsfw mention. fluff. gn!reader
Notes: some fluff with Choso. reader decides to have a spa day and makes Choso join them
Word Count: 1.8k
It feels like it's been forever since you've gotten a day to relax like this.
You've designated today as a self care day. You could really use one. It's been a while since you properly sat back and relaxed. You've decided to go all out, breaking out new skincare and slightly pricier soaps you were saving for a rainy day. Things you always said you’d use, but never did because the situation never felt right. You figure you'll do your hair, too. Might as well. You’ve got time.
You like your showers warm. It always worries Choso that you’ll burn yourself. You sit with your hand in the water, gauging the temperature. A thin layer of bubbles covers the surface. Steam coils off the water. It's hot enough.
Choso can't help but watch with almost a childlike wonder. Wherever you go, he tends to follow. In his defense, he's curious. All the soaps and candles smell good. He's never really seen you do anything like this.
His gaze drifts to the floor when you start undressing. He's not sure why, only that he knows it's wrong to stare. He's seen you like this plenty of times before, but it always makes him blush. Doesn't matter if it's his first time, or his hundredth. You remind him that it's okay to look, that he can see you like this. Only he gets to see you like this. He's certain of that.
You try to distract from the anxiety of being the only naked one in the room.
"Are you coming in or not?" You ask.
"You want me to..." His face turns bright red.
"Of course," you motion for him to join you.
You coax his shirt over his head. He gets the hint, undressing the rest of the way.
He watches with baited breath as you slip into the water, steam drifting off your skin. You sigh and lean back, resting your head on the edge of the tub. The suds cling to your skin.
He settles into the water in front of you, his knees pulled to his chest. You part your legs enough to give him room to sit between them. He leans against your chest, trying to be mindful of his weight. He really isn't that heavy, but he's a bit wary of hurting you. You card a wet hand through his hair, drawing it out of his eyes. The warm water and epsom salts feel nice across his sore muscles. It's a bit too hot for him, leaving his skin pink, but you don't seem to be bothered by it so he says nothing. You gather a bit of suds in your hands, leaving a dot of them on his nose, laughing at his confused look.
Choso closes his eyes and sighs, leaning into your touch. You press a kiss to the top of his head. His cheeks turn bright red. Your arms snake around his body, holding him to your chest. He leans his head back, his eyes meeting yours. His hair tickles your neck.
“I feel like I could fall asleep.” He says.
You rest your chin on top of his head. “Good.”
He's never felt love quite like this. Of course he's felt love before; with his brothers, for his friends. But his love for you is vastly different. It's strange. He wants to hold you close and never let you go. He’s head-over-heels for you. The way you look at him with such adoration makes his chest swell with affection. He can't stop the smile that spreads across his face.
The face mask is a violent shade of green against your skin. You warm the paste up in your hands for a moment, though you can't tell if it helps or not. It smells strongly of cucumbers. You don't want to get up to look in the mirror, so you haphazardly apply it to your nose and the skin under your eyes.
“Do you want some?” You ask. He looks uncertain, but he nods anway.
"It's cold," he says.
"It's good for your skin." You say.
You give him a pleading look. You've forced him to sit while you paint his nails, or braid his hair. He likes it. As long as you're giving him attention, he'll tolerate a lot.
His response is only a wary look. He relaxes once you finish, closing his eyes, leaning back into your chest. Your body is warm. He runs a bit cold, naturally. He hardly notices it, but you certainly do. The hot water has turned his skin a nice shade of red. Under the water, his hand rests on your thigh, gripping it softly. He likes the way your thighs rest around his waist. They're warm, and softer than his. He's always admired how soft you are. He loves the way your body curves and dips. He loves the way his clothes look on you, or yours on him. He thinks you're strong, sturdy and beautiful in a way he never knew before he met you.
"Lean your head back so I'm not waterboarding you," you say, pressing a kiss to his temple.
He hums as you pour a bit of water over his head, your fingers working through his hair. Your nails are getting long. They feel nice against his scalp.
He practically begs you to play with his hair. He says it helps him sleep. You believe it. He's usually knocked out within minutes of you starting. Many of your nights together are spent with him sitting between your legs, or his head in your lap. It doesn't matter how warm it is outside, he has to sleep either in your arms, or with you in his.
The shampoo you use smells like coconuts, he notes. It smells nice. He practically purrs in delight as you start working the suds into his hair. His breath hitches as you brush a particularly sensitive spot at his temple. You make sure to work that area specifically.
You work out any tangles in his hair with conditioner and your fingers. He likes this part the best. You spend extra time brushing your fingers through his hair. He groans when you work down to his neck, kneading the muscles of his shoulders in your hands. At this point you aren't even scrubbing his head anymore.
He's almost disappointed when you stop.
"Let me do yours." He says.
Choso moves so you can lean against his chest. You worry about putting all of your weight on him. He insists he can take it. He can. But your initial hesitation is there. His chin rests on top of your head. His strong arms snake around you, holding you close. You feel so safe in his arms. You could fall asleep there.
And you just might.
His fingers run through your hair as he pours water over your head, shielding your eyes. He knows it can be a bit unpleasant. Once your hair is wet, he squeezes a sizable glob of shampoo onto his hands. Your hair is soft, he notes. He wonders if you like your hair being played with as much as he does. You hum softly as he starts to work it into your hair.
Slowly his hands work down, kneading the muscles of your neck and shoulders. Goosebumps raise along your flesh. He presses a kiss to the top of your head. His hands are warm. You find yourself dozing off in his arms. You feel so safe cradled against his chest.
When all the suds are rinsed out, he helps you work out any knots with his fingers. He likes the texture of the conditioner far less. It's cold and slimy, he says. You're not sure if that's how you'd describe it. He'd use 5-in-1 soap if you'd let him; which might be Yuji's fault.
He leans down to give you a kiss. It's just a quick peck, but the warmth of his lips lingers on yours for long after. You pull him back to deepen it, your tongue pressing past his lips, exploring his mouth. A line of saliva connects your lips when you pull away. You giggle at the way his face turns red.
Under the water, his fingers lace with yours. You lift his hand up, pressing a kiss to his knuckles. His heartbeat stops for a moment, before picking up in pace.
The two of you stay like that until long after the water has gone cold. Choso’s breathing has evened out, he hasn't moved in quite a while. You’re too warm and content in his arms to move. You’re not sure how long it’s been since you’ve dozed off. But the water is cold, and your fingers and toes are wrinkly from being underwater for so long.
“Did you fall asleep?” You ask, giggling when he shakes his head.
He still tries to hold onto you even as you get out of the water. You’ll worry about cleaning up in the morning.
You steal one of his shirts to wear. It's too big for the both of you, and has long since been designated a sleep shirt. His clothes are always huge on him, he likes the way they swallow him (and you) up. He sits with you between his knees, drying your hair off with a towel. You hate going to bed with wet hair.
Idly you flip through channels, looking for something to watch. Not much looks good. You have netflix—you have Yuji’s password—but nothing there looks good either. Eventually you settle on a late-night game show. You’re not particularly interested in it, but it's pretty nostalgic. It used to wake you up when you were a kid.
“Let me paint your nails,” you say. “Please?”
He nods. Your pleading look will be the death of him. Choso can't deny you anything.
He’s never been so hopelessly in love.
You sit cross-legged in front of him, pulling one of his hands into your lap. The nail polish you choose for him is clear. The other ones are in the bathroom, and you don't feel like getting up. You’ve tried all sorts of colors on him. His favorites are black and dark purple. He thinks they match his outfits rather well.
When you’re done, you grab ahold of both his hands, carefully examining his nails. They look fine. Really, you just want to hold his hands. You deem them good enough. He holds his hands as still as possible so as to not smear the nail polish.
When you’re finally ready to settle down for the night, he pulls you into his arms. You tug the covers up to your chin, making sure to wrap them around him too.
“Y/N?” He says.
“Yes?”
“I love you.” He says.
“I know.” You say. “I love you too.”

Headcanons for the cursed womb siblings when they ship you and choso please 🌝 but choso is like a “job first, love later” kind of guy. He is responsible👏 He wants to support his siblings first👏 But they want nothing more than for their brother to have a lover.
modern au! office worker choso x reader no warning, just fluff. death painting brothers are normal humans, choso is just oblivious, reader is in love anywaysssss okay, i know it said headcanon but i went overboard and i cant help it anymore, choso brainrot tagging: @booksweet , @fushigurocockslut, @lazy10ieiri, @sassyeahhhh, @cotton-curse, @thevoidwriting, @dukinaxael
Tumblr media
- job first, love later
you were the first girl choso ever brought home.
except it was by accident. your car had broken down in front of the office and you being typically you, had no idea what had happened to your shit car. “stupid, stupid!” you cursed, opening the front of your car, watching as puff of smoke escaped. you panicked, you never had anyone told you what to do with your car and such.
you were the only child in your family, your mother passed away when you were just a child and your father disappeared. you were sent away to a distance relative, the gojo where you grew up with satoru and his adoptive brother, megumi. but they are useless as a lump of coal. “y/n, are you okay?” you whipped up your head, wiping the dripping sweat off your worried head as you were greeting by a familiar face.
“oh, choso, thank god, do you know anything about car? i cant figure out why wont it start,” you cried clutching on his white sleeve before shrieking. you watched at your fingers left black smudges on his shirt, panicked overwhelmed you as you realised you just ruined the chance for help by ruining your savior’s shirt. but choso only laughed, brushing your panicked look aside and handed you his briefcase. “how long has it been like this?” he asked as he rolled his sleeves, you shrugged. “10 minutes? i think.”
“do you have any cloth i can use to check the coolant?” he asked. you nodded and headed to back, throwing the briefcase in the backseat. coming back with an old rag, you were surprise when choso grabbed your wrists. your face warmed up as he twisted and turned your hand, “did the steam hit your hand?” he asked, glancing up to your face. you shook your head and handed him the cloth. you watched as he did his thing, in 5 minutes he had the engine running and the temperature meter down.
“please, cho, let me sent you home. as a thank you!”
he smiled, “you don’t have too, i can take the subway.”
“i insisted!” you exclaimed, “plus i have your briefcase! aha, you need it so if you want it you have to let me drive you home. please?” you insisted, throwing a puppy face as you clutched both hands to your chest. he exhale heavily, before holding out his hand. your brow shot up in confusion, you placed your hand on his larger palm. you looked up to the older man, a small smile on his face. he was holding his laugh. “your car keys, y/n. lemme me drive you home at least,” he clarified, causing you to mentally slap yourself. the keys exchanged hands and you get in the passenger’s seat. he's a careful driver, he used the blinker and didn’t speed, you felt instantly safe under his care.
“do you live alone, choso?” you asked your coworker. he shook his head, “i live with my younger brothers, eso and chizu. our parents died a long time ago.”
“oh, same. my parents died a long time ago. i’m their only child. my uncle took me in, he’s like a brother to me,” you explained, reminded of your childhood growing up with satoru. he might not be an ideal father figure but he loves you like his own sister. the car slowed down in front of block A of some apartment. “you live here?” you asked glancing around. his apartment is definitely on the lower class scale, the building looks like it could be hundred years old with the chipped paint.
“yeah, i’ve been raising my brothers alone. money’s a bit tight, they are still studying,” he explained grabbing his case from the back. “thank you for helping me with my car,” you stopped him, placing your hand on his, “please let me replace your shirt. just tell me the brand and i’ll buy a new one, i’m so sorry.”
choso offered her a smile, waving his hand dismissively. “it’s okay, i can get the grease off easily. i should thank you for the ride instead. i owe you for that.”
“in that case, can i see your home?”
choso looked at you in amusement, his hand reached forward to ruffled your head, “you’re weird, y/n. but okay. a cup of tea won’t hurt.” he was sure that none of his siblings are home, parked the car and let you trailed him as you both entered the lift up to the 5th floor. you didn’t seemed to be bothered by the surrounding, the stray cats and the random pile of garbage, eyes only trained on his back as you trailed him. his house were around the corner of the stairs, further from the elevator with number 532 on the blue door. he pulled out his keys but the door was already opened.
“chizu won’t throw out the trash,” a shirtless guy with a mohawk greeted them, he was instead more surprised to see you hiding behind the man, “oh, who is this?”
“my coworker. she drove me home, i offered her some tea. i thought you two aren't home, clearly i was mistaken,” he mumbled, annoyed that his brothers were actually home. he turned to you who was looking away, he could see speckle of warmth on your face. "y/n, this is eso. eso, go be a decent human being and put on some shirt," choso ushered the man away before calling you in. you could see panic in his face when eso instead announced that choso was bring his girlfriend home to the other brother.
you couldn't help but to laugh.
-
you stood in front of door 532 ringing the door bell.
you could hear some yelling. someone was telling to get the door, someone yelled that they were busy in the bathroom and someone was angry in the kitchen. you felt conscious, maybe this was a bad time. you placed the paper bag on the floor and prayed you can make it to the stair but door opened. a voice greeted you.
"y/n?"
your steps halted. you turned around, flustered that you got caught. choso stood by the door, apron covering half of his bare body with a spatula in the other. "uh hi, i was just here to drop you something," you pointed to the bag on the floor, absolutely refusing to look up, why is he being so attractive in that stupid apron for, you cussed, "i'm sorry for disturbing your sunday, i'll go."
"is that y/n?" a voice in the background called.
choso looked back and nodding, "yup, it is her." you could see the desperate look on his face before another head popped out from the door. it was his younger brother chizu. he took a bite of the pancake, a wide smile on his face, "what's up, big sis?" the boy with the blue hair greeted her. you shrugged, pointing to the bag that's now in choso's hand. "i was just dropping something, i don't want to disturb your sunday," you shook your head but chizu insisted that you stay for breakfast.
"come on big sis, choso rarely bring any girl over, it actually is exciting to finally talk to someone who isn't as annoying as eso," chizu laced his arm around yours and dragged you through the door. you look at choso for help, the man could only shoot you a sympathetic smile before shutting the door. he followed you, leaning against the door frame of the kitchen as he watched you sat by the table. eso started filling your plate with fresh batch of pancakes while chizu started talking about this band he started to listen. you listened to it attentively, thanking eso for the syrup before he took a seat beside you.
choso took a peak of the paper bag, a small smile on his face when he realised there's a brand-new shirt in it with a sticky note on top of it. i'm sorry, hope this one fits you- the note said. he looked up to back to the table, you started to look like you belong there. the house has always been empty, it was just him and his brothers. you're just like a bouquet of fresh flowers sitting in a vase in the middle of the table; breath of fresh air to the kusozu family.
"pancakes, choso?"
your voice disturbed his thoughts. "tchh, choso, why you're looking at y/n-chan like that?" eso threw a spoon playfully at the older sibling as he walked to the table, "say, y/n, choso didn't do anything sexual to you or anything right? as your brother i'm worried," your eyes widened as you choked on your drink. chaos ensued in the house as choso threatened to murder the middle child, chizu could only sit back and enjoyed as you tried to calm him down while eso's obnoxious laugh echoed the small apartment.
"you better apologize, you broomhead or i'll murder you!"
eso stuck out his tongue, dodging the flying cup, "never!"
-
"i got something for chizu. would you mind giving it to him?"
you peaked your head in his office, waving another paperbag in hand. choso took his glasses off and pinched the bridge of his nose, "you don't have to spoil my brothers, y/n. they are already a brat without you." you rolled your eyes and placed the bag on his pile of paperworks. "my younger brother, gumi- he knew the band's drummer, y'know the band he's been talking about and got a signed album for me. i'm not a fan so i figured chizu would've enjoyed it better than me." he peaked through the paper bag, a small smile on his face as he thanked you. you both sat in silence, you felt like you were disturbing the man so you excused yourself.
"y/n," your hand froze on the handle, "how can i pay up for everything nice you've done to us? i feel like it's unfair that you're doing all this nice things and i don't want to owe you anything." your turn and watched as the man walked close to you. choso looks handsome as usual, the blue tie matched his eyes while his slightly longer hair is slicked back. you recognized the shirt he's wearing, you bought it for him and it was nice of him to wear it to work.
"would like to go for a coffee with me?" you asked boldly.
"it's a date."
-
"it's not a date," choso sighed, combing his hair back.
"it is," eso crossed his arms on his chest, "she asked for a coffee and you said it's a date. bro, it is a date." the younger brother shook his head, motioned for him to part his hair. "slicked back make you look like you're going to office, yuck. if we wanna impressed big sis, you gotta look better than this."
"it's still not a date," choso protested, "it's just a coffee meet up."
the doorbell rang.
"yeah, it's not a date when you spend an hour worrying over your hair, cho," chizu ran to the front door, waiting at the door was you. you didn't have to go up and fetch him at the door, but you actually enjoyed meeting his brothers you didn't mind the hassle anymore. "damn, y/n, you dress better when you're not going to office," chizu complemented you. you could only shake your head, pocketing your hands in the plaid skirt that fell just at your knees, "i only dress up to important stuff, job sucks ass, i ain't spending my good outfits going to work," you kicked off your boots and walked in.
"you listen to that cho, at least she knew that this that is important!"
your eyes widened at his word and the younger brother dodged your fist easily. choso peaked through the door, a smile grew on his face when his eyes caught yours, "huh, i didn't realise we are going to colour coordinate," he said, stepping out. you realised that you both had accidentally matched each other's outfit, speckles of warmth spread all over your face when you noticed how it looks like. chizu, being the loose lip took the words right out of your head, "you both look like you're dating."
"we are not dating!" both of you exclaimed immediately only for eso and chizu to share a look.
"stop that," choso warned, disappearing into the kitchen, "tea, y/n?" you yelled a yes before following him. "don't mind them, they are being an idiot." you watched as he poured sugar in a cup with teabag, before putting the kettle on. "i don't mind," you shrugged it off, fidgeting nervously with the corner of your blouse. the comforting silence that engulfed both of you were short lived.
"oh, choso, i actually want to tell you that i like you!"
chizu's soft voice easily imitated your voice, something you took offended off. you turned around to see the two brothers perched on the kitchen hatch. "i do not sound like that!" you gasped. it was eso's turn, coming through with his rendition of choso.
"oh, y/n! i like you too, but i'm just dumbass and refuse to admit my feeling!"
"i will not hesitate to sent you back to mom and dad," choso warned.
"i also think that eso is way good looking that i am, but i'm scared that he will swoop you away from me," eso continued, at this point even you couldn't hold your laughter as you pressed your palm over your mouth. "what you laughing for, y/n?" choso's eyes narrowed as he glanced at you, huffing in annoyance. "hey! don't be mad at me for laughing, he did it well." you could see his own cheeks growing redder and redder with every mocking.
"go away, boys," you shushed them, walking to choso's side as he poured the hot water in the cup. resting against the counter, you thanked him when the cup exchanged hands, looking down on the swirling liquid that you didn't realise choso's fingers hooking under your chin, tilting your face up. all you realised was his soft lips against yours.
you are kissing your coworker in his kitchen.
"cho-" you whispered between the kiss but he hushed you, his hand now resting against your waist pulling your closer, deepening his kiss, "don't mind them." you tasted like your chapstick, his kiss was soft but it was enough to leave you breathless in his arms. you look in each other's eyes, a new realization to what had just happened had you both flustered.
"god, if our shit imitation would've finally made you both realise that you two dumbass like each other, we would've done this months ago," eso snickered. the two brothers had moved from the hatch to the table, heads resting on hands watching the new lovebird. "would you mind waiting for 5 minutes while i murder my brother? i promise it won't take long, then we'll continue with our date," choso asked quietly, brushing a stray hair off your cheek as you brought the mug to your lips, hiding the small smile behind the cup as you nodded. you watched amusingly, sipping on your tea as the two brothers ran around the small apartment, yelling profanities while chizu hugged you.
"welcome to the family, big sis."
you ruffled his blue hair, your cheeks hurt but you just couldn't stop smiling, "if it wasn't to you, i don't think i wouldn't even dare to speak my feelings. so, thank you. the voice acting was shit tho."
"you thank us, you hate us, geez, big sis, make up your mind," chizu teased you, winking as he brushed it off as a joke, "you help us a lot, i never seen choso so happy before. he worries a lot. about us, money. it was good sometimes to see him put himself first," chizu shrugged, cheek resting on your shoulder, "we survived before, we'll survive now. choso has nothing to worry about. you too, we are alright, okay?"
you nodded, resting your cheek on his head, heart overwhelmed with love for you newly found family, you felt belonged here.

————
There was a fragment in time as you were waking up that your mind got foggy and panic ran through you, making you believe that what you lived through last night was a beautiful dream, and the reality was that you were in bed alone and Choso was dead.
You don’t know why it suddenly bestowed upon you. Maybe it’s all this loss that’s heightening your fear of being alone or something because that panic blinded all your senses and snapped you to complete consciousness in a cold sweat.
Albeit rather than realizing you were in that in-between state of sleepy delusion and consciousness, that fear stuck with you and made you not want to look at your side out of fear that all you’ll see is a sunken spot.
However, you also knew that you had to snap out of it and face the truth, so you look over. And the moment you see Choso’s dark brown draped over his perfectly sculpted back, and notice his breaths moving his body you smile with relief and immediately drag yourself over to gently slide your hand around his back and hook your arm through his arm before you lay your head next to his neck.
You bask in his warmth and use that as a security blanket for your bare chest. You don’t know if he’s awake since you didn’t check but you still press a kiss on his nape and nuzzle your nose on the back of his neck, causing him to groan softly with satisfaction before he turns around and holds you against his chest instead.
“Is this okay?” He mutters in a sexy voice.
“Yes, it is,” you assure him softly even though last night—no, a couple of hours ago he never asked for permission to hold you in the most seductive positions. “How long have you been awake?” You query while you begin to caress his back with your nails, feeling the scratch marks you left him.
“Not long…I just wanted to let you sleep,” he says.
You grin and pull your head back, making him tilt his chin down to be able to look you in the eyes.
Now Instead of filling the silence with good mornings, you keep smiling at him and gently brush your finger over the mark on his nose, making him shiver, and causing a smile to twitch on his lips. While all you can think of is how happy you are, how full your heart feels, and it’s such an incredible feeling you’ve missed, you’ve been estranged for so long. You don’t want to be strangers again.
“Did I hurt you last night?” Choso asks with slight concern.
You giggle and shake your head whilst you slide your thumb to his cheek. “Only in the best way possible.”
Choso doesn’t understand you’re only teasing and his eyebrows furrow.
“No,” you quickly assure him. “You didn't hurt me. You were good. Which makes me doubt that it was your first time.”
Choso chuckles softly. “It was,” he quickly assures you as if he didn’t want you to be upset. “I swear.”
“I know I was just teasing,” you whisper before you pull down slightly and nuzzle your face against his chest to find comfort in the rhythm of his heart.
And as he feels the warmth radiating off your body, and the softness of your skin against his, he cups the back of your head and presses a kiss on the top of your head, triggering a question to pop up in your mind.
“Can I ask something since we did this and confessed and whatnot…what are we?” You ask and brush your fingers through his hair. “Is this exclusively an in-the-shadows kind of thing? Like, only sex, and kisses when no one is watching, or are we together, together, like, partners? Boyfriend and girlfriend or what?”
“I already told you what I want,” he explains right away with confidence. “You heard me. I don’t want to hide you, I want…to be partners, I want Yuji to know about us.”
You smile in admiration at the way he cares so much about letting his brother know about the changes in his life.
You were once like that with Satoru. You cared what he thought, you needed his opinion, and needed his approval in your big life choices.
Not so much anymore.
Not at all anymore.
“I want you to be mine and only mine,” he whispers against your head. “If that’s what you want.”
Before you give him your obvious answer you need to just warn him of one thing. “Look, Cho, I love you. I really, really do, but I also know that your life is new. I don’t want to hold you back from experiencing what the world has to offer and that means other people,” you share and pull back to face him and his forming perplexity.
“I’m not looking for something short, I’m not at that stage in my life anymore. It’s not what I want my daughter to see either…” you pause and lick your lips before you go on and make him grow worried. “So if this is going to happen it means you want to build a life with me and my daughter, if you think that you want to explore other things then we can say goodbye here.”
Choso grabs your face and pulls you to him to assert his wishes once again. “I want forever with you. I told you. Until my last breath and the last beat of my heart….”
You smile happily and he can’t help but mirror your expression.
“Do you want forever with me?” He asks vulnerably. “Even if I am what I am?”
You grin and cup his cheek. “I do. I want forever, even if you are what you are,” you finish in a whisper before you give him a slow and passionate kiss that he quickly returns at that same loving pace.
When he pulls back he keeps you close to the point you can still basically taste yourself on his breath after he gave into his wildest temptations in your night of passion.
“Do you think I should give something to Satori?” He asks timidly. “It's important to me that she likes me. I mean she’s probably going to hate me when you tell her about us because I’m not her father.”
You scoff softly. “Oh, my Cho, don’t worry,” you assure him, making his cheeks turn red at the sweet way that pet name rolled off your tongue—“she likes you, and yeah, it’s going to be weird for her seeing us together, but we have to give her time, okay? In the meantime just talk with her, try and join her when she’s doing what she likes. She likes being outside with the animals and harvesting the fruit, so just help her when she wants it. Just be there for her, show her you care about me and her and she’ll get to love you. Okay?”
Choso nods and tilts his head to kiss your palm.
You hum with pleasure and then can't help but share a concern you have. “Did you feel good last night, Cho? And don’t lie, it's okay if you didn’t.”
“I felt good,” he assures. “You were great. Beautiful.”
You don’t grow reassured instead you press him. “Don’t lie okay? Don’t be nice to me. Not about this.”
Choso grabs your chin and insists, “you made me feel incredible.” He laughs softly before he grows timid. “So much so that I want to feel myself inside you for the rest of my life.”
You avert your gaze and smile shyly. He notices and tilts your head up to take you in for a slow agonizing kiss that he only worsens by swiping his tongue over your bottom lip.
“Choso,” you whisper breathlessly in between the kiss. “If…you feel…that way then…maybe we should…go take a shower together.”
Choso pulls back and stares into your eyes with a tensionful stare before he smirks faintly. “Are you sure?”
“More than sure, let me just do something first,” you bring up before you climb out of bed and put your pajama pants on. When you look for your shirt you find it torn in half, so you instead use Choso’s and step out onto your balcony with your phone in hand.
And considering you were busy getting filled with dick and cum at night you never once thought about your phone. Which might’ve been a bad thing now that you see all the missed calls and messages from Shoko.
Shoko: Call me.
Shoko: It’s important, I won’t stop texting you until you answer.
Shoko: I know you’re not asleep.
And there’s a lot more urgent messages where that came from, so you finally call her. And on the third ring, she answers.
“I was calling you all night,” she greets you coldly.
You can’t help but smirk. “Sorry, I was…” you trail off and peek over your shoulder, catching Choso walking over to you with just his pajama pants on. “…busy,” you finish saying smugly.
“Ahuh,” Shoko understands what you meant so she lets you off easy. “Well then just get over here when you can, okay?”
You scoff and interject rapidly. “Hold on, you spammed my phone. What’s wrong? Are the students okay?”
Shoko sighs. “Well that’s what we need to talk about, just get here when you can—”
“Did someone—”
“No, no one died,” she cuts you off before you can panic. “Everyone’s alive and well, so don’t rush. Just know that you need to come.”
You sigh and hold more worry on your shoulders now than before. “All right. I’ll be there soon,” you assure her whilst Choso comes up from behind you and moves your hair aside to start kissing your neck.
“I’ll see you,” Shoko says before she hangs up, leaving you just concerned now.
“Something happened,” you tell Choso, causing him to pull away from you.
“Yuji?” He asks.
You turn and face him with that worry painted over your face. “No. She would’ve told me. Then again she didn’t tell me anything at all…but no, he’s okay.” You groan and drop your head on his shoulder. “I want this all to be over already. I hate all this worry.”
Choso wraps his arms around you and tries his best to assure you. “We’ll get your brother out and we’ll end this soon.”
You hum and then pull back to meet his gaze to try and push it all aside, for now, and be happy in this moment with your boyfriend.
“You ripped my shirt,” you tease him.
Choso looks you up and down and swallows thickly as his face grows red, and a bulge grows in his pants. “I…” he pauses and exhales deeply before meeting your eyes again. “I like you in mine,” he gets smug.
“Yeah,” you whisper seductively and press your hands on his chest to slowly drag them up to his neck. “You know I came outside to check the weather and decide what I should wear, but maybe now…I should wear this.”
Choso’s breath hitches and his bulge only hardens more.
“What do you think?” You ask him against his ear. “This? Or nothing?”
Choso grabs your hips and leans in to kiss you but you decide to be a tease and pull away.
“Tell me,” you roll out softly.
“I want…you to wear this…right now. I want to take a picture of you in my shirt so I can look at you when I can’t be with you,” he murmurs against your lips. “I want you.”
You smirk and walk past him, causing him to huff. When you reach the door you stop and peer back. “Let’s be productive and go to the bathroom. We can start there.”
Choso’s lips pull to a smirk as well before he catches up to you and hugs you from behind, making you laugh.
“I love you,” he says in your ear as he nuzzles his nose on your neck.
You walk him to the bathroom and say it back again and again; while you do it against the counter, in the shower as he holds you against the wall, and when you tell him a dirty joke in his ear when you’re drying off.
He could hear it a hundred more times in the span of a minute and never grow tired of hearing you telling him such passionate words. He could stare at your naked body all day, every day, and his desire and his awe will only heighten to new levels each time.
But he knew there were limits, so when you were changed and out of the privacy of the room, he held himself back to only pecks. And when Satori finally woke up and joined you downstairs he completely restrained himself to lingering stares and nonchalance since you had yet to tell your daughter about him and you.
“Satori,” you interject while you’re finishing your breakfast. “You’re going to be coming with me with the other sorcerers from now on, okay?”
Satori looks over at you as she chews and raises a dark brow. “Why? Why can’t I stay with Uncle Larue?”
You swallow thickly and avoid looking upset at the mere mention of his name. “Because I don’t want to risk Kenjaku coming to get you. It’s better if you’re with me.” You offer her a smile and she sighs.
“Fine, but I have to pack my stuff ‘cause I get bored,” she mumbles and pushes her empty plate away.
“Hm, we’re going to get some training in too, okay? And before you argue,” you cut her off as she was opening her mouth. “You’ll be training with Kirara and Kinji.”
Satori huffs. “Kinji is annoying. He always messes with me.”
You laugh softly. “He’s just teasing you.”
Satori suddenly sits up and looks at you curiously. “Will Fushiguro be there?”
Your smile widens and you shrug. “I think so. Why?” You tease.
Satori shrugs. “He’s nice and his dog is nice too.”
“What about Yuji?” Choso cuts in. “Do you like him?”
Satori glances at him and tilts her hand. “He’s loud when he’s with my uncle Satoru, and Kugisaki says it’s funny to tease him.” She smiles for a moment before she sinks her chair and then suddenly slides out to run away with an excuse over her shoulder. “I’ll be back.”
You watch her scurry away and then finish eating unbothered.
“I thought about something,” Choso brings up as he puts Satori’s empty plate over his. “About my brother's places in this life.”
You put the chopsticks down and slightly narrow your gaze with concern, noticing his eyes focus on the table and his eyebrows furrowing ever so slightly, but enough that his nose wrinkles. Meaning he was really thinking hard.
“What is it?” You press softly and lean over the table to take his hand.
Choso glances up at you with his eyes glossy and takes a deep breath to try and answer. However, before he can share what troubles him hurried footsteps echoing in the distance interrupt him before Satori enters the dining room, causing Choso to quickly pull his hand away so she wouldn’t see.
“Mommy,” Satori says out of breath, and clings onto your arm to whisper in your ear. “Can you help me?” She asks and lets you get a peek at a card that has a little red envelope attached to it. “Please?”
You giggle and whisper back. “He won’t bite. Just give it to him.”
Satori presses you with an anxious look and digs her little nails into your arm. “Please.”
“I'll go wash the dishes,” Choso interjects, making Satori’s eyes peel with panic.
“Wait,” you interrupt him and make him sit back down just as he was getting up. “Cho…” you roll out with a teasing smile. “Satori wants to give you something.”
Choso shifts in his seat and you see his own slight panic on his pale face.
“Go on, it’s not from me,” you encourage your daughter. “Hand it to him, I’ll be here.”
Satori lets out a deep breath and fiddles before she turns and looks at Choso shyly. “This is for you,” she says sweetly and hands him the letter. “From me.”
Choso glances at you unsure, so you assure him with a smile before you prop your elbows on the table and rest your chin on your hands to watch Choso open the card made of white construction paper, and red glittering letters that say ‘To Choso,” at the front.
And considering she didn’t want to show you what she had made for him, your curiosity gets the best of you and you can’t help but lean over to take a peek inside, seeing that Satori had drawn Choso on one side and her on the other. He had a drawn-on nonchalant face, which is super cute, and her portrait…well you couldn’t stop smiling as you notice how she drew herself smiling and had a speech bubble over her head that read, ‘Thank you for saving me! And thank you for saving my mom! I appreciate you!’
“Cute,” you compliment her as you poke her side, causing her to giggle and push your hand away.
Nevertheless, as Choso pulls a red and purple beaded bracelet out from the envelope you notice his eyes are once again getting glossy. But this time you see him smiling—or he’s trying, his lips are wobbling.
“Red is for your technique,” Satori points out. “And purple is because you wear…purple…” Satori trails off in a whisper as she notices the tears welling in his eyes, and slowly loses the smile that was peeking through as she was gaining confidence.
“I’m sorry,” she interjects in a shaky voice as she wraps her arms around your neck to find comfort from her growing shame.
“It’s okay, baby,” you assure her and caress the back of her head. “You didn’t make him sad, Choso just gets emotional that’s all. Those are happy tears.”
Satori loosens her grip around you and Choso wipes away his tears to try and comfort her. “Yeah, sorry. I just didn’t expect it…I love it. Thank you so much, Satori, and you’re welcome.”
Satori sighs with relief and lets you go. “Well that’s good,” she laughs breathlessly. “I thought I made you sad…I hope you like your bracelet, I made it.”
Choso smiles softly at her. “I do, I love it. I’ll wear it all the time. Thank you, Satori.”
And knowing him he probably won’t ever take it off.
“You're welcome,” she says back with a happy smile and then steps back. “Well, I’m going to go get ready now.”
“Yes,” you encourage her. “And then come find me so I can do your hair.”
Satori swings around harshly. “No! You do my hair all crooked!”
You pout and watch her leave. When she’s gone though can’t help but smile before you slide over and hug Choso from behind.
“I forgot to tell you,” you whisper as you press a kiss on the side of his side head. “Thank you for helping my little girl. Thank you.”
Choso reaches over and caresses your arm as he keeps looking at the letter Satori gave him.
“See,” you coo. “She likes you. Don’t worry, baby.”
Choso glances over at you as if what you just said is unbelievable. Which you find funny. He acts like he’s not deserving of the pet names.
“I’ll tell her today okay?” You let him know. “Maybe even before we leave.”
Choso presses a kiss on your arm and nods.
“Now what is it you were going to say?” You reel back to your previous topic before you got interrupted. “Something about your brothers?”
Choso shakes his head. “I’ll tell you later. Now I want to make sure if it’s okay that I give Tsukumo’s research to Yuji. She was your mentor and she was someone else's. I don't want to cause problems.”
You step back and start collecting the things off the table. “It’s okay, really. Aoi is okay with it, he’s like, delusional, actually, and thinks Itadori is his brother. You snicker and peer back, catching Choso pouting slightly and looking perplexed.
“Why?” Choso mutters as he starts to help you clean up.
You shrug. “‘Cause they have the same type of women…I think. Itadori and Aoi told me something exponentially different. But anyway,” you huff. “It’s okay. Itadori will have more use for it than us.”
“Okay,” he whispers and then goes back to the previous matter. “And that guy, Todo, he’s not actually Yuji’s brother is he?”
You snort and shake your head. “No! Aoi is weird okay? They’re not really brothers.”
Choso sighs with what seems to be relief and you can’t help but giggle before you start cleaning the breakfast aftermath, and then once again change, but this time in a cute, expensive, fashionable, and warm outfit to wear out and impress the newly awakened sorcerers.
You wanted Satori to match with you, but she refused and said she’d look silly in a long fur coat, and that it was far too late considering she had changed already…
Tsk.
“Do you remember when we used to brush daddy’s hair?” Satori interjects as you brush her long black hair back since she’s refusing to let you style it because apparently, you’re bad at it. But the real reason is that she misses Belinda doing her hair.
“Hm,” you answer softly. “I do.”
“I miss it.”
You let out a deep sigh and debate about telling her about Choso and you since she’s thinking back to her father. It’d be…inappropriate no?
Then again Choso is going to tell Itadori, and you’re going to tell Shoko and your students, so word will travel and you don’t want her to hear it from someone else and feel betrayed, sothere’s no better time than now.
“Satori, I have to tell you something, okay?” You don’t prolong the news.
“Okay, what is it?” She asks completely unaware.
You sigh deeply and brush her hair at a slower pace. “It’s about Choso and I…”
She doesn’t move or react. She sits still and waits which, only makes your stomach knot together.
“We’re…” you pause and think about how to say it in a manner she’ll understand. “Boyfriend and girlfriend.”
Satori stiffens and then pulls away, dragging her long hair along with her. “Why?” She quickly cuts in with a hurt little look. “What about daddy?”
“Satori, Daddy is gone,” you remind her gently.
“I know,” she says sharply. “But…won’t he get sad? You don’t love him anymore?”
You grab at your chest and then crouch to be at her level. “Chipmunk, I will always love your dad. I will never, ever forget him, but it’s time I move on and that’s ok,” you assure her and grab her hands to cup them in yours. “It’s okay to move on because we’re not going to forget him are you?”
Satori’s eyes get watery as she shakes her head. “No.”
“No,” you agree. “He’s always going to be with us.”
“He’s,” she pauses and sniffles. “He’s going to live in us? Like Choso said?”
You smile and nod softly. “Yeah. He is.”
Satori’s tears roll down her cheeks, so you quickly wipe them away. “My little love,” you coo. “It’s okay. Your daddy wants us to be happy. He wants me to be happy, and Choso makes me happy. You think he’s nice, no?”
Satori nods, but she doesn't answer, she instead asks a question. “He makes you very happy?” Her voice quivers.
You beam at her and wipe away her tears. “Yeah, he makes me very happy. And look, he’s never going to take your dad's place, okay? Never. He’s just going to be part of our family now. And it’s okay if it takes you time to be his friend, he understands.”
Satori nods in comprehension and looks at you with a wobbly smile. “You think Uncle Satoru will get mad?”
You scoff. “I am an adult, I make my own choices even if he likes them or not.”
Satori gasps. “He’s your big brother! He says he bosses you around because he’s the oldest.”
This is what he tells her?
Oh, he’s going to pay when he’s out of his stupid box!
“I am an adult, he might be my clan leader but he is not my boss, okay?” You sass her.
Satori giggles, making you tuck her hair behind her ears before you just press her one more time. “So what are your thoughts about Choso and me?”
Satori lets out a shaky sigh but she smiles. “If he makes you happy it’s okay. I’m happy if you’re happy.”
You flash her a grin and can’t help but trap her in an embrace. “Oh, I knew you’d understand.”
Satori hugs you back and stays in your embrace until you pull away.
“Now,” you interject happily. “Let’s finish brushing your hair so we can leave. They’re waiting for us.”
“And we’ll get Uncle Satoru out?” She can’t help but ask impatiently.
“Well,” you sigh. “That’s my hope, but I don’t know yet. We’ll see.”
Hopefully whatever Shoko needs to tell you doesn’t interfere with that today…you miss your big brother.
——
*LATER*
“What are we going to do now? What am I going to tell Satoru?” You mumble out and groan before you drop your head to rub your forehead from the stress Shoko just dropped on your shoulders.
“What are we going to tell Satoru,” Shoko corrects you and rummages through your coat pocket, but finds your worm Cursed-spirit tucked inside.
“That’s gross,” she groans.
You snicker and pull him out. “He’s in there just in case I need him, and so he doesn’t have to be around my shoulders all the time.”
Shoko lets it go and walks around you to dig through your other pocket, and this time pulls out what she was looking for; a cigarette box.
“It’s…weird being the adults now,” you think out loud while you take a cigarette stick Shoko offers you from your own pack. “We’re the ones in charge now. We’re the ones who are supposed to help them shape their future…” you let out a soft laugh and light the cigarettes with fire you summon over your finger.
“I would like to say that things were easier when we were in high school, but,” you sigh. “I don’t think that’s so.”
“We had our fun,” Shoko interjects as she blows out smoke. “We can say that. Going out was way more fun when we were teenagers.”
You laugh softly. “Yeah, they were. Now that was easier! And so were phones, I miss my flip phone.”
“Meh, I like that I can access the internet on my phone, and you know buy stuff from there.”
You smile. “Yeah that’s true…” you trail off and go back to thinking about Fushiguro and how Sukuna now traded hosts and put himself in the boy Satoru helped raise.
“We’re the adults, we're supposed to be better than the ones who surrounded us, but,” you sigh and draw in a long drag of your cigarette. “Fushiguro is gone,” you blow out and drop your head. “That angel girl got her arm bitten off, and all the students were in some deathmatch…I should’ve been there, I should've helped Fushiguro.”
If the roles were reserved with Satoru, he would’ve helped your kids, he would’ve fought a lot harder and just…been there.
“You couldn’t have done anything,” Shoko assures you. “It's Sukuna. Plus you wouldn't have even survived with how low your cursed technique was then. You’re still recovering.”
You drop your hand to let it hang over the balcony and shake your head in disapproval. “You don’t get it, because at least if I was there I could’ve tried. Now he’s gone, and Sukuna is fully in control. When we get Satoru out he will come to find the boy he raised lost inside a monster,” you say with frustration through gritted teeth. “And Fushiguro’s sister is probably dead.”
Or maybe Shoko is right and all you feel is guilt. Not for not being able to be there, but the possibility of letting down a person you haven’t even learned to forgive yet or figured out if you blame him for killing Suguru or not. Which is why you shouldn't be so hard on yourself—but, you still do love him, and knowing that once again someone that brought him happiness is gone, hurts you too.
“There’s still nothing you could’ve done,” Shoko rests her case without getting offended by the sharpness in your voice just now. “That’s how things are. Unexpected. You have to adapt to it.”
You draw in a slow drag and manage to grow an awe-struck smile on your face. “How do you do it?” You can't help but ask as you blow out smoke. “Stay so calm in these dire situations? I can go over a small bump on the road and I’m stressing out.”
Shoko's brown eyes find you through her cloud of smoke rising from her cigarette and answers with a faint smirk playing in the corner of her lips. “It comes with the career path. I can’t be freaking out or else the patient freaks out and only makes things harder.”
You grin. “Look at you Doctor Shoko. I’m impressed.”
She quirks a brow. “Did you doubt me?”
You let the cigarette burn and shrug. “Kind of,” you admit. “You were not so good at studying.”
“Yeah because I have an advantage,” she throws out casually, which makes you kind of worried now.
She is the only doctor here after all.
“The girl is fine right?” You double-check.
Shoko scoffs and nudges your shoulder. “She’s fine. I’m good at what I do okay?”
You laugh softly and put out your cigarette on the ashtray while she continues using hers.
“No, but seriously,” she says more seriously. “She’s in no fighting condition. She really got lucky. Which means…” she sighs and averts her gaze. “Satoru will have to wait a couple of days until she recovers.”
You blink and snap your eyes over to her to pass her a pointed glare. “What?”
Why didn’t she tell you before?
Sure you assumed that girl was going to have to take it easy because of what happened, but you didn’t think it would affect her ability to get Satoru out.
“I know you want to get him out already but what’s a couple more days?” She tries to assure you, but besides the fact that Sukuna is out and in control of a boy with the ten shadows technique, it’s been 17 days since he’s been stuck in that eerie box. Who knows what he’s going through, and! What if something happens in between those days and only sets back his release, causing him to suffer more?
He shouldn’t have to wait when you have the means to let him out already.
But it’s all because of that sorcerer girl who’s also inhabited by that other ancient sorcerer. And because she just used her heart.
And sure anyone can make the mistake, you could, but you were told that she had Sukuna basically in her grasp! And she let him go…
She needs to know, just hear a thing or two.
Thus you turn sharply on your heels and storm back inside with a prickly attitude.
“Y/N what are you doing?” Shoko asks as she tows behind you with concern.
Yet you ignore her and when you get inside the med-bay you see that young girl with the missing arm, and Okkotsu by her bedside. Not like you care about him.
“You,” you point at the girl who actually resembles an Angel. You thought she would’ve looked different, but regardless you share your purpose for storming in without shame.
“I'm going to tell you this once,” you continue. “What you did with Sukuna was incredibly stupid. I hope you know that. You had him right in your grasp and he’s gone now. And what’s even more fucking stupid is that two of you are in control.” You scoff, and the girl nervously glances at Shoko walking in after you.
“Did you let her do it?” You ask the sorcerer lurking inside the girl.
“No,” she quickly argues in an almost angelic voice. “Of course not. I warned her but she didn’t listen.”
You meet the girl's gaze again and only harden your glare. “You let your heart take control,” you spat. “In this business that can be a dangerous thing. And before you say it, trust me I know that ache, that need to save someone you love. I have to fight with a crazy sorcerer in my husband's body! For a couple of seconds when I saw him in Shibuya all I could feel was relief and joy to see him. I didn’t think about the red flags that popped in my head, but then I thought, I used my head and I rammed my hand through his chest. He’s only escaped me because he keeps trying to gut me.”
“But—”
“Butt out,” you snap at Okkotsu.
“Look, I know you’re new, kid,” you continue a bit nicer now that you have her attention and you have come to your full senses. “You’re young, but you have to use your head and your heart. And sometimes you can only use one even if it’s against someone you love. It’ll hurt, but it’s a sacrifice we must do for the greater good.”
“I…” the girl stammers and averts your gaze. “I’m sorry.”
“Don’t apologize,” you retort with no hint of comfort. “Do better. And think about the fact that Sukuna is out now.”
You watch her for a lingering moment before you turn and walk out with Shoko following right at your heels.
“You were harsh, no?” She remarks.
You peer back at her and shake your head. “No. Remember we’re the adults now. There’s a balance of how to be with them, and sometimes you have to lean towards the harder side. I was being honest and head-on, like Yuki.”
Shoko is going to say something but when she realizes what you said and who you mentioned she knows you’re right. After all that incident could’ve caused the girl her life. She got very lucky.
Yet there is one thing she does point out. “You were also angry about Satoru.”
“Yes. He’s my brother.”
You don’t share the reason you suddenly blew up is because of the delay in his release, it wouldn't make you sound any nicer. So you’re just blunt.
“I won’t apologize,” you tell her and turn around to join the others now. And right away you spot Hakari, whom you had yet to see.
“Kinji!” You greet and catch his attention.
And the moment his eyes land on you he matches your excited energy. “Master,” he shouts back and meets you halfway with a quick embrace before you pull back and grab his chin to turn his head and worry.
“Did you see Shoko already? There’s no lingering side effects?”
After all, half of his face was so badly wounded that he had fucking muscle exposed.
“I did,” he tries to assure you as you try to find some fault he might’ve missed. “But I also did heal with RCT.” He smirks.
You let his face go and give him a proud smile. “I’m proud, Kin. I knew you would do it.” You pat his shoulder and catch Kirara walking over. “I would like to say it was my amazing teaching, but it’s all you and your technique. Good job.”
“Give yourself some credit I used skills and teachings you taught us,” he immediately argues to make you feel better.
Which works.
“Now did you go to Shoko,” he shares his concern as it's just you, him, and Kirara now that they join you. “You died, didn't you? We have to make sure you’re not part of the undead.”
Why did he and Kirara assume the same thing?!
“I’m fine, I’m healing fine,” you assure him and then feign a concerned face. “But I am craving flesh. Brains.”
Hakari crosses his arms over his chest and shakes his head. “You wouldn't even be talking.”
This is why you love them so much, they know how to roll with your humor.
“Unless she’s like those zombies from that one movie where they run and climb over walls,” Kirara points out.
Hakari and you shake your head but he corrects them. “They never talked.”
“Oh! I can be like one of those zombies from that movie where the girl falls in love with a zombie. They talk.” You remind them.
“I fell asleep through that movie,” Hakari says. “It was lame.”
“Yeah.” You nod slowly.
“Anyway!” You clap your hands and look around the room filled with other sorcerers. “Why don’t you guys introduce me to the new sorcerers? Like that cute lawyer.” You smirk.
“He’s not here,” Kirara bursts your bubble. “Takaba and Kashimo are though.”
You frown with disappointment, but follow them towards a man that almost scares the piss out of you because he’s like half-naked.
“Oh,” he gasps and his eyes widen as he spots you approaching. “Oh no.”
You try to wipe off your partially freaked out and judgemental face, but his uniform is too revealing, you can’t pretend to be okay with it.
“This is Takaba,” Kirara introduces him as you stop in front of him. “Takaba—”
“You. I know you,” he cuts them off out of breath when you stop across from him. “You—should I bow? I don’t know what to do.”
You muster a laugh and shake your head as you wave your hands in protest too. “Don’t bow. Please. Just introduce yourself. Distract me from what you’re wearing.”
“Right!” He nods his head harshly and thankfully offers you a traditional greeting bow and not some awkward one. “My name is Fumihiko Takaba!”
You offer him a smile and just keep heavy eye contact. “I’m y/n Gojo.”
He nods rapidly while he looks at you completely starstruck now. “I know. You’re famous out there, and in the sorcerer world, I hear. I never thought I’d meet you.”
You giggle and part your lips to ask him about his technique, but he cuts you off.
“Do you want to hear a Joke? I’m a comedian.”
You blink with curiosity and immediately nod. “Yeah, shoot.”
Takaba clears his throat first. “Don’t marry me! I don’t want you as my wi-fi!”
You look at him with a straight face for a few seconds, making him grow nervous before you start laughing.
He doesn’t think you’re serious at first, but when he notices that you’re being genuine he laughs with you until you stop.
“I like it,” you compliment him. “Thank you for that.”
Takaba lets out a deep and relieved breath. “Good. I'm glad you liked it…you really liked it?”
You nod. “Yeah, man, I enjoy good puns.”
“Really? I have more!”
“Well I would love to hear them, but I do have others to meet so find me later. Really, please do, I might just tell you some of my own.” You make him finally smile at you without anxiety tensing up his face
“Alright! Okay! It was very nice meeting you ms y/n! I’m a fan! You’re very pretty!” He exclaims.
You touch your chest and bow your head. “Thank you Takaba.”
When you walk away and make a distance between him and you, Hakari interjects. “I shoulda bet you Kira, I knew he was going to react like that.”
Kirara pats their lips. “I thought he’d be more ecstatic.”
As they talk and guide you to the next person you look around the room until you spot Satori with Inumaki messing with Panda. Which is good, you smile at the sight. Even if Satoru’s old students dislike you for last year's events, it’s good they don’t pass that resentment to Satori.
“Master,” Hakari reels your attention back to them as you come to a stop by a tall man with long cyan colored hair and lightning marks under his eyes that are already on you. “This is Hajima Kashimo.”
Unlike Takaba this guy doesn’t greet you right away, he doesn’t seem open whatsoever either. He stands tall and looks at you not with a piercing look, it’s more pointed, but you don’t know if he’s trying to size you up or looking for something in you.
Whatever it is you don’t let him intimidate you. You raise your chin and stand just as tall, but you pierce your fire-kissed eyes. You don’t fear men or ancient sorcerers who call themselves gods.
“What’s going on?” Kirara whispers to Hakari.
“Hm.” Kashimo finally reacts. “Finally someone somewhat strong.”
“You're the God of Lightning?” You break your silence and press your hands on your hips. “The one who couldn’t even beat a sorcerer from the new era.” You smirk. “Some God.”
Kirara scoffs in amusement at the way you don’t flinch or hide.
Kashimo huffs. “He got lucky.”
You snicker and roll your eyes. “Tell yourself that.”
He scoffs and leans in closer. “I heard he’s your student. Would you like to prove your worth?”
You look him up and down and when you meet his gaze you narrow your glare further and don’t let your smirk falter. “I don’t need to prove anything to you.” You spat
Kashimos’ pointed look now pierces in you, but you catch the corner of his lips twitch to a smirk before he pulls back and scoffs. “All right, Gojo. I see you.” He mutters before he turns away from the three of you, letting Kirara, Hakari, and you share a teasing look before you walk away.
And as you do walk away you finally spot Choso already watching you by the living area. And rather than seeing nonchalance, you see his nose slightly scrunched and his eyebrows faintly furrowed with an emotion you can only read as jealousy. He looks different when he’s concerned. But this is hot too.
So you shoot him a smirk and don’t immediately aim towards him, instead you depart from your students and walk to the guy Nanami was mentoring.
“Ino,” you call for his attention and he immediately turns. When he notices you his eyes slightly widen with surprise. “Right?” You ask. “Kento was mentoring you?”
“Uh, yeah that’s me,” he says gently.
You offer him a smile. “I just wanted to give you my condolences. And tell you that if you ever need anything, reach out to me. I will be more than happy to help one of Kento’s students.”
Ino lets out a deep sigh and offers you a small bow of his head. “Thank you so much, Miss Gojo. And I’m sorry for your loss. He didn't really share much about his personal life, but he did tell me you were his best friend.”
Your smile spreads to a grin and just before you can thank him he pulls out Nanami’s cleaver.
“Shoko gave this to me, but he was your friend, take it,” he says and pushes it towards you, but you instead push it back towards him.
“Keep it,” you tell him sweetly. “We didn't talk much about sorcerery, but he did mention that you were a great student,” you let him know, making his eye soften. “So I’m sure he’ll want you to keep it. Besides, you can find a better use for it than I can.”
Ino bows his head and gives you a brighter smile. “Thank you so much, Miss Gojo.”
You offer him a sweet grin before you turn away and now head towards Choso, who smiles softly at you as he sees you approaching him.
“Cho!” You greet and fall beside him on the couch he’s on. “I missed you,” you whisper and wrap your arms around his neck.
“Missed me?” He asks with his cheeks turning a shade of red. “I was here.”
You smirk. “Tell me about it. Now.” You begin to press and make his gaze finally fall on you. “What’s wrong my beloved?”
Choso stays quiet for a moment and the mark on his nose crinkles slightly. “What do you mean?” He asks even though he knows exactly what it is you’re referring to.
“You’re pouting,” you point with a teasing smile. “Your nose is crinkled just a bit, and you're glaring, but not in the way when you’re lost in thought, your eyebrows are furrowed then not pinched.”
Choso’s blush turns a deeper red as hears that you pay more attention to him than he thinks.
“Any particular reason?” You press deeper and slide a hand down to rub his chest. “Or did you just miss me?”
A laugh escapes from his lips before he sighs deeply and turns in his seat to face you. “Do you remember when you said you wanted to get ramen at some place in the city?”
You’re not hungry now, but you could get hungry on the way…
“Yeah,” you answer excitedly. “Why?”
Choso grabs your hand that you have on his chest and caresses it while he averts his gaze and almost lights on fire with how red he’s turning. “Would you…like to go on a date with me?” He asks and bats his eyelashes to look back at you with a softened gaze that only makes his brown eyes gleam brighter.
“We’re partners now,” he adds. “And even if I haven’t been here long I know that’s what partners do, and I want to do this right with you.”
You grin and grab his jaw to press a big fat sloppy kiss on his lips. “I would love to go on a date with you,” you finally give his tense heart comfort.
“And I know you like the ocean but you hate looking at the fishes in the tanks,” he says confidently. “But your student Kirara says that there's a place where you’re surrounded by screens and it looks like you’re in the place you want to be. We can go there too.”
Your smile softens as you feel yourself fall in complete awe. “I would love that,” you whisper softly, making him smile. “I really would.”
Choso caresses your cheek and leans in to give you a short but deep kiss.
“We can go after we get your brother out. It only seems fitting then.” He says against your lips.
You nod in comprehension and before pulling away and without leaning in for more, you hold each other's gazes for a lingering moment before you hear a sudden screech-like cry.
“Mommy!”
You sigh and without looking back to gather any intel, you quickly counter. “Kinji leave the child alone!”
Choso looks over and sees what you assumed, Hakari teasing Satori by holding something of hers several feet over her head.
“How did you know that happened?” Choso asks almost amazed by your know-how without even looking back.
“Years of practice,” you share with a laugh.
Choso hums and glances over your shoulder to continue watching Satori with the other students. “Did you always want to become a mother?” He asks and focuses on you.
Your grin falls to a frown as you think about the children you lost. “No,” you reveal the truth and muster a faint smile. “When I was a teenager all I wanted was to hone my technique and not be stuck here...” You sigh and lean your side against the couch, but never let your eye contact wander. “But then the twins and I crossed paths, I was scared to be what my parents were to me, but I also knew that they wouldn't be treated better if we left them. So after Suguru comforted my fear, I chose to be their mother, and not once have I regretted taking that leap. Now I can't think of anything better than being a mother.”
Choso smiles at you with soft admiration, making your face grow hot under his admiring gaze.
“Now you,” you bring back now that you’re alone. “What's got your mind wheels churning behind those nice eyes, hm?”
Choso scoffs and watches as he slithers a hand on the couch to slide it over yours and continue touching so he can feel that much closer to you.
“I wasn’t sure before. In the morning.” He begins to say and knits his thick eyebrows together. “But today when we got here and I heard that Yuji could’ve died yesterday against Sukuna, it became clear…I want him to consume my brothers.”
You blink with surprise and tilt your head down to meet his gaze. “Are you sure?” You make sure to ask only because he’s been so set on bringing his brothers to life so they can live a good life.
“Yuji could’ve died, y/n,” he argues and meets your gaze. “And there’s still a fight to come with Sukuna and Noritoshi. What brother would be if I continue disappointing him? This way he’ll be stronger, and my brothers will live on in Yuji.”
You begin to caress his knuckles with your finger and don’t argue. If this is what he wants all you can do is support his choice.
After making sure this is really what he wants.
“Are you sure, Choso? If he consumes them I don’t think you’ll be able to bring them back.”
Choso draws out a deep breath and nods without hesitation. “Yes, and I’m sure this is what they’d want too. This way he’ll have the support and strength of his older brothers, and we can make up for all our years of absence in his life.”
You hum in comprehension and hold his hand now. “All right,” you finally show him your support. “Sounds like a good plan. You’re a good brother, my love.”
That pet name escaped you. It’s something you haven’t said before and it almost makes you shy to say it, but it also feels so right saying it to him.
And it also doesn’t go unnoticed, Choso looks at you with surprise before he grows flustered.
“Thank you,” he says quietly. “I really needed to hear that after my choice.”
You smile at him and lift his hand to press a kiss on his fingers. “It’s like you said, they will all live through Itadori. It’s a good choice.”
Choso lets out all the tension he had on his shoulders with a deep breath.
“Now,” you interject and squirm. “Talking about brothers. I will warn you, my brother…he will be annoying towards you when he finds out we’re together.”
“Well we did fight,” Choso quickly justifies Satoru’s behavior, but that’s not what you’re referring to.
“No, no, honey, he will be annoying because he tends to do that with the people I’m with. He never really liked the idea of Suguru and me together until he reflected on it when it was too late.”
“You’re his little sister,” Choso rebuttals. “And he has a niece to consider as well. He’s just being protective.”
“There’s a way to be protective without being annoying,” you grumble as if it’s already happening. “But anyway, it’s just a warning, okay? So when he gets annoying towards you just shrug him off and ignore him, it’s what I do. And just continue being who you are, that will make him back off just a bit. All right? Just don’t let him intimidate you. Behind all that strong sorcerer exterior is a dorky and good-hearted guy.”
Choso nods in comprehension but doesn’t seem to grasp just how annoying Satoru can be.
He’ll know soon enough then.
——
*A COUPLE DAYS LATER*
“Hold up,” you immediately butt in as you catch Itadori and Takaba setting the backgate down in the middle of the room. “You’re not planning to release the seal are you?”
Both men look over at you with confusion, and Itadori interjects. “Yeah, can’t we?”
You share a nervous laugh and don’t know if he’s playing or not.
“I mean—”
“Now that you mention,” Takaba interrupts you and jumps to his feet. “This place is a bit dull for a homecoming...”
Oh. No.
“Should we decorate it a little? Do we have origami?” He continues to ask, making Satori's little face brighten at the mention as she sits next to Kurusu, the girl being used by Angel.
“I want to help!” Satori exclaims.
“Great!” Takaba shouts back and leans towards her. “Let’s make interlocked rings like so,” he demonstrates with his hands.
You glance over at Choso and share a slightly teasing look.
“I know what those are,” Satori says excitedly as she sits on her knees on the seat. “Me and my sisters made it for my mommy’s birthday.”
“Good, now what are his favorite colors?” Takaba wonders as he steps back.
“That’s not what I meant,” you interject before Angel bounces in.
“It is said time does not flow within the prison realm. Therefore, whatever is trapped inside will not die due to starvation or old age. The prisoner will live indefinitely so long as they do not end their own life.”
Satoru is strong-minded. He wouldn’t do that, would he?
Unless the prison realm is mentally torturing him
and having him live through his worst fear, or reliving bad memories.
But even still Satoru is strong-willed.
“It sounds like you could use it as a Time Machine if you wanted,” Hakari shares, making you smile in amusement.
“It wouldn't go as well as you would think,” Angel breaks his illusion. “Precisely because there is no concept of physical time, it is impossible for us to know how Satoru Gojo has perceived the last 19 days since Halloween. It could have felt like a blink of an eye for him, but it is equally possible that it felt like waiting 100 years.”
19 days have felt like an eternity for you, it’s like you’ve lived several lifetimes throughout those days, so you can only imagine what it’s like for your brother who is just stuck.
Hopefully, he’s been able to take it easy at least. He needs it.
“Hm, so what then?” Angel continues to share. “What I’m worried about is Satoru Gojo’s mental state. He’s the strongest sorcerer of the current generation, right?”
You nod and hum. “That’s right. So if Satoru is in a state of mental disarray…”
“…undoing the seal in a narrow space like this could be very dangerous, right?” Shoko finishes for you.
You can see now why that can be a catastrophic problem.
“When you put it that way,” Itadori muses with concern.
“Sounds pretty dangerous,” Hakari lets his imagination run wild too.
You sigh. “So where then?” You query.
The room falls silent for a moment as everyone thinks hard until you come up with an idea. “When I was a student I would go train at Kiroko mines, a Jujutsu high training ground. From what I remember it’s steep enough, and far away enough from the city.”
Albeit, the rocky and dirty terrain isn’t friendly enough to your heels that perfectly compliment your Vintage Viviene Westwood matching 2 piece look.
“Why didn’t you change shoes?” Shoko sounds like Nanami.
“Well.” You shrug and thank your modeling career for teaching you how to walk in heels in all kinds of terrain, or else you probably would have twisted an ankle. “I wasn’t planning to come here, and considering you and Choso,” you point your eyes at him beside you. “Have basically put me on house arrest. I don't bother to put on training attire.”
“It’s not like we’re running a runaway.”
“You can’t run a runway,” you sass her. “Unless it’s what the designer wants. You strut a runway.” You smirk and swiftly put on your sunglasses as the sun is bothering your eyes.
Shoko rolls her eyes and slides on her own sunglasses before she lifts them a little and leans toward your neck. “Is that—”
You cut her off by backing away towards Choso, and pull up the fur collar on your coat to cover the love mark on your neck.
However, if she's surprised by that she should see the rest of your body, Choso has been very loving and sweet and loves to leave marks on your body.
Even thinking about it now makes you all tingling.
And sure you could heal them but what’s the point in that? You like looking at them when you’re alone.
“Shut up,” you hiss at her nonetheless because your daughter is close by.
“Imagine if Satoru sees it, like, I’m so happy to be back and see you’re not dead, sister,” she mocks him. “Oh wait, is that?”
You glare at her and just ignore her even as she laughs softly at her own joke.
“Here seems to be a good spot,” Angel announces as Kurusu comes to a stop in front of sandbag barriers.
“Well,” you tell Shoko as you take the chairs Choso was holding for you and her. “Here goes our peace and quiet.”
“You said it,” she mumbles as you both fist pump while you take your seats.
“Mommy I want to be with the others,” Satori runs over to tell you.
You glance back at where Kirara and Hakari are to make sure it’s a safe spot when Angel opens the gate. “Alright, just hide behind the sandbags when they open the gate, ‘kay?”
Satori nods and you watch her run over to join Kirara and Hakari to just reassure yourself it’s safe before you return your worry to your brother's release.
What if it doesn’t work out? Or what if Tengen was wrong and Angel ends up destroying the Prison Realm and Satoru along with it?
Or what if Satoru comes out and he’s deranged? Or so traumatized he can’t even talk?
And the worst fear you have and might be a stretch is, what if somehow he loses his memory and forgets everything and everyone?
Okay yeah, that sounds a bit crazy. They all kind of stem from your growing stress and anxiety of getting your brother out because if it turns out you can’t get him out or he’s somehow dead, what will be of you then?
“Here we go!” Kurusu announces as she flies up to the sky, making you draw in a deep breath and start gnawing your nails.
Choso immediately notices your anxiety and reaches over to take your hand out of your mouth and interlace his fingers with yours instead, making you grab onto that same arm with your other hand as you watch Kurusu lift her trumpet, and take a deep breath before Inumaki shouts through his megaphone.
“Salmon!!”
Kurusu blows through her trumpet and a large and bright beam of light falls over the backgate like an explosion, causing high winds to blow dust back that you manipulate to not hit you and the other two you’re with.
Once the beam is gone, a thick cloud of dust now covers where the backgate was and the possibility of where Satoru could be.
“What happened?” Itadori shouts as everyone pops up like little gophers. “Gojo?! Is it safe to come close?!”
You only drop one hand off Choso’s arm, but keep holding his hand for support as you stand up and only take a step forward as all the students, and Satori run towards the place Satoru is supposed to be.
“Huh? Gojo?!” You hear Itadori shout as he enters the clearing dust cloud. And you can’t stand your nerves anymore, you join the others hand in hand with Choso.
And much to your disappointment as the dust clears the backgate is gone and your brother is nowhere to be seen.
“Did he disappear along with the prison realm?” Itadori asks worryingly.
Satori notices that her uncle isn’t appearing so she finds you and grabs your other hand.
“Where is he mom?” She whispers with worry.
You’re honest and shrug. “I don’t know,” you let her know. “But I’m sure he’s okay.”
“And thus yet another useless piece of trivia is known to the world,” Takaba interjects and it doesn’t land right. You’ve found him to be funny, but right now that ticks you off.
“Might Satoru Gojo be some kind of evil spirit?” Kurusu tries to defend what just happened. “It would explain why he disappeared when exposed to our light. So it isn’t really my fault then, right? Right?”
You narrow your gaze to a glare and hold yourself from once again going off on her like last time.
“She’s playing defense,” Itadori mutters.
“Well, can’t really argue that Gojo’s personality had some evil to it,” Shoko inputs nonchalantly, causing a small laugh to actually escape your lips.
Nevertheless, suddenly then you catch the pebbles beneath your feet begin to bounce calmly, while the dust on the ground begins to lift before you feel a shift beneath your feet. Meaning only one thing is starting to happen.
“Earthquake,” you announce to everyone with disbelief before the ground shakes violently, making you protectively wrap your arm around Satori.
“An earthquake?!” Kurusu shouts.
“This can't be a coincidence!!” Itadori says hopefully.
And you also can’t help but be hopeful now too, because it really can’t be a coincidence, the animals at home would’ve given it away by acting strange. They were calm last night and this morning. So this must be because of Satoru…
“Y/N what do you think it was?” Shoko asks once the ground stops trembling.
You scoff and look at her with a perplexed look. “What am I? A seismologist?”
She smirks. “I like how you immediately knew what they’re called.”
You flash her a half smile and shrug. “I watch a lot of nature documentaries. Anyway,” you change the subject. “I’m sure he’ll find us when he’s done with whatever he’s doing, so.” You grin now. “Why don’t we all go to my place now! We can welcome him there with food and whatever it is you guys wanted to make!”
“Hey yay!” Kirara exclaims.
“I would really love to go see your home!” Takaba says unexpectedly and you can’t help but laugh.
——
*LATER*
Everyone who went to the training grounds is here now waiting for Satoru to come after being released, hoping that what Kurusu and Angel did didn’t actually kill him. Even the second-year students are here at your house. Everyone except for him.
And it’s not like you expect a phone call or a message, it’s more than likely that his phone doesn’t work anymore considering where he's been, but it’s been a while since he was released. Takaba, Satori, and some others have already hung up decorations and made a welcome-back cake in the time you’ve been waiting.
Which is why you go out to your back porch and worry. Just for a little. It’s so crowded inside that it only heightens your stress, even if half of the students are out on the grounds exploring what your community has to offer.
It’s almost getting hard to breathe with all the worry crumbling you.
But you stay strong, you have to keep hope, and not think of the possibility of having him actually be dead. Because if he is…
“Mommy!” A muffled call breaks you from your train of thought before the back door slides open and you hear clearer. “Mommy!”
You draw out a deep breath and hide your stress with a smile before you stand up straight and turn to look at her. “Yes…” your words fall out of your mouth as you see who’s standing tall behind her. An unbelievable yet comforting sight that erases all the worry and fear that had been eating away at you, and that slowly erases the grudge and slight dislike you held against him, returning that pure unconditional love you once so deeply had for your brother.
“Satoru,” you whisper shakily in disbelief.
Said man let’s go of your daughter's hand and steps forward to study you from head to toe with his bright blue eyes starting to gleam as they narrow on you.
“My six eyes are telling me it’s you, but…I saw you,” he says breathlessly. And for the first time in a long time, you see tears running down his cheeks. “He killed you.”
You nod. “He did, but not at that time, I lived. I had a small window and I took it. I’m here.”
A small smile twitches on his pink lips but instead of coming at you, you assure him one last time.
“I’m really here.”
Satoru lets out a breathless scoff and without waiting another minute you both break away from your spots and meet each other halfway with a tight embrace.
Which feels kind of unbelievable. It feels like a dream, and now you’re scared that it is and you’ll wake up with him still gone.
Albeit his scent isn’t so dreamlike, he smells like sweat and whiffs of death.
You’d usually tell him off but he gets a pass today. Besides it’s not like you can actually let go, you cling onto him out of fear he’ll be gone all over again.
“I’m so happy you’re home!” Satori exclaims and throws her arms around you and Satoru, making him laugh softly before he breaks away and crouches to her level to hold her cheeks.
“I’m so happy to see you, Sugar,” he calls her by the nickname he stole from you. “It’s felt like ages! I mean you even look taller.”
Satori's eyes widen and she hovers her hand above her head to compare her height to him. “Really?!” She asks excitedly.
Satoru snickers and shakes his head. “No.”
Satori’s smile falls and she points a glare at him, “you know maybe it was better when you were locked away.”
“Satori,” you scold her.
Nevertheless, Satoru laughs at her remark and doesn’t find it offensive whatsoever.
“I missed you,” he tells her sweetly.
She can’t help but grin and then grab his hands. “I made you a present. And I bought you one too!”
“Oo, I like presents, why don’t you give them to me later though, hm?”
Satori nods. “All right.”
You sigh and interject. “Satori, why don’t you wait for us inside? I need to talk to your uncle okay?”
Satori is hesitant and looks at you with pleading eyes so you can let her stay, but you don’t give in and just narrow your eyes, causing her to sigh dramatically before she stomps inside, leaving Satoru and you alone.
“I was told that I was only gone for 19 days, but,” Satoru begins to say as he stands up to his given height. “It’s felt like 19 years.”
“Satoru,” you speak with sorrow. “It’s Fushiguro—”
“I know,” he cuts you off and turns to face you. “I got out and went to go find our “friend”,” he spats out that word with spite. “…in Suguru’s body and Sukuna was there with a little thing with a bad colored bob.”
Your lips twitch to an amused smile, but it doesn’t take long before a frown creases on your face. “I wasn’t there that day, I’m sorry…I know what the boy meant to you. I'm sorry I couldn't save him from that fate.”
Satoru lets out a deep breath and walks over to stand next to you against the wooden railing. “It was Sukuna, y/n, there wasn’t anything you could’ve done to stop him from taking what he wanted.”
Shoko said that too, but who knows, maybe you could’ve done something.
Your guilt makes you feel that way anyway.
“And you should know so you don’t go on the rest of your day wondering,” you continue with more terrible news. “Nanami…and…the twins are gone,” you barely manage to finish even if you knew, even if you saw that they were at peace now.
Maybe it’s the fact that you’re telling your big brother that triggers your grief to reappear like if it was the first time sharing the news, or the fact that no matter what, your heart will still break because they’re not actually here, but you can’t help but share it in a quivering voice and feel your heart break.
“I’m sorry,” you murmur.
Satoru looks away and nods as he understands right away.
You don’t need to simplify the news to him, he’s not 6 years old. He knows what you mean, and the news falls on him like a heavy weight he can’t actually carry.
“I’m sorry,” he tells you quietly. “You losing your girls shouldn't have happened. I’m sorry I wasn’t there to help. Was it…”
“Kenjaku?” You fill his silence so he can know his name. “No…it was Sukuna. They wanted to free Suguru,” you share with each word pulling tears out of your eyes. “They were there to free him and I didn’t know. I should have known, I should have paid more attention to them. I should have fought them to go back home, but I…I,” your voice breaks and you can’t even finish what you wanted to say because of your tears triggered by grief.
“You trusted them,” Satoru assures you and reaches over to hold your hand. “You were a good mother. You trusted them and let them make their own choice. It’s not your fault.”
Tears stream down your face now over his sweet words.
“They’re still gone,” you bring yourself down. “I wasn’t strong enough to save them. I was weak…a weak link,” you whisper the words your parents told you under your breath, but he catches them and quickly rebuttals.
“Y/N I told you not to listen to what they would tell you. They aren’t right, you’ve proved that time and time again. Losing the twins wasn't because you were weak, it was because Sukuna is evil. We’re going to kill him.”
You take his words to heart and answer with a comprehensive silence before you interject. “I’m sorry, it’s your first day back and I’m hounding you with all my trauma.”
He scoffs. “I don’t mind. I’m actually…glad you could talk to me about it.” He says and turns his head away from the scenery ahead of him to look at you. “I missed you.”
You laugh softly and meet his gaze. “Oh wow, who would’ve known Satoru has such a good heart, and sarcasm and bad jokes aren’t all he knows.”
He rolls his eyes away but a smirk tugs on his lips.
“Satoru,” you say after a deep breath. “I forgive you for leaving me that day. I didn't know if I ever could. And to be honest, throughout these 19 days I was still unsure.” You sigh. “But seeing you today, being able to talk to you again made me realize I don’t want to hold that against you anymore. So I forgive you. I hope we can be as close as we once were.”
Satoru looks at you in silence for a lingering moment before he lets out a relieved breath and smiles. “Well isn’t that a treat?”
You muster a soft laugh, and his smile falters as he looks down and pats the railing before he holds onto it.
“I’m sorry that I didn’t trust you enough to take you back with me that day,” he shares from the bottom of his heart, making your breath hitch. “I knew how they treated you and I still turned my back on you that day. Me being scared and protective doesn’t defend why I left you, we should have left together, and I should have let you make your own choice.”
More tears roll down your cheeks, but this time they’re happy tears. Tears of relief since for 11 years that's all you wanted to hear from him.
“It’s okay,” you assure him with a happy smile.
He leaves a moment of silence as you both relish in your joy after your heart-to-heart.
You almost don’t want to break it because you’re enjoying it so much, but he breaks his silence with a curious question. “Do you think you still would have left with Suguru if we had gone back home together?”
You sigh deeply and shrug. “I don’t know. I really don’t. I didn't believe in helping non-sorcerers by then so I really don’t know.”
He hums and silence falls again, this time it lasts a while and you finally find the need to go inside to join the others. However, there’s one more thing you need to share.
“Before we go inside I need to tell you something,” you laugh nervously and lean back on your heels while you hold onto the railing. “I’m dating Choso. Itadori’s brother. The guy with the blood manipulation technique that attacked you that day in Shibuya.”
“Oh?” Satoru gasps, and from the corner of your eyes, you can already see how perplexed he looks which makes reading him hard.
“After 19 days?” He asks.
Does he mean that in a rude way, or a curious one?
You can’t tell and it only makes you more nervous.
“A lot has happened since then,” you explain yourself. “I’ve lived so many lives, and he’s been there throughout it all. He’s really been my support system. I don’t know what I would have done without him, so be nice okay?” You plead and look at him with a soft begging gaze so it could be harder for him to go against you.
“What does Satori think?” He makes sure to ask.
You sigh. “She liked him before I told her, after he saved her from Kenjaku’s clutches, but after I told her I think she’s scared he’s going to replace her dad in some way. She just needs time though. I understand that.”
Satoru hums and your heart nervously skips a beat.
“He’s nice and sweet. And he really loves me, and he cares for Satori,” you try to say in Choso’s defense. “And I really love him too.”
Satoru scoffs, but he doesn’t share what he hides behind that displeased scoff. Instead, he just feigns a faint smile and nods to assure you before he interjects. “He’s Yuji’s brother you say?”
You laugh with relief as you believe he’s okay with your news. Even if you weren’t asking permission, you were just letting him know because he’s your brother and you don’t want to hide your relationship.
“Yeah, how about Itadori tells you though,” you say happily and land back on your feet before you let go of the railing and start heading towards the door. “It’s a long story.”
“Okay,” he mutters and hides what’s slowly building up inside.
“Now let’s go inside, you must be starving.” You add and open the door. And as if summoned by your conversation the first person you see right as you walk in is Choso.
And he of course spots you right away and can’t help but offer you a faint smile since he was waiting for you to come in. However, when his eyes find your tear-stained cheeks his smile falls to a frown and he basically runs to your side.
“Are you okay? Why are you crying?” He worries about you as he grabs your chin to look at the stains as if they were causing you physical harm.
“I’m okay,” you assure him as you pull his hands off your face, but keep one in the warmth of your hold. “I'm just happy to see my brother, that's all. You’d understand that.”
Choso and you share a soft laugh, and unknowingly that only irritates Satoru. Seeing Choso and you hold hands ticks him off.
When Suguru and you told him you were dating so long ago he was upset, but knowing you’re dating Choso really pisses him off.

JJK Chpater 138:
1. First of all... everyone...
The nerve of this fine ass puto for saying this. Not only did he disrespect Maki, he disrespected Mai. No women should ever be behind a man and if some people still think like that fuck you idc. You know what... I’m glad he’s toxic so if Maki is gonna rise from her being close to death we can see her beat his ass. With Mai on the side + Nobara (if she’s alive) because we all know Nobara would defiantly kick his ass. I’m not gonna lie though, we’ve always been very curious on how the clans are on the inside and now it’s time to see that. He seems like a very interesting character regardless of him being machismo. I can’t believe I’m saying this but I can’t wait to see his powers and fighting style.
Tumblr media
2. Megumi being head of the zenin clan.
You know what... I’m not surprise that Toji did an reverse uno card on the family. Toji probably already knew that was gonna happen but in all reality... I doubt Megumi would choose that position. I think he would give it to Maki (Idk if that’s allowed lol) since they’re related. Also, if Maki were to accept she would defiantly change everything that is toxic and wrong with the clan. She would start from scratch with her sister (Maybe.. you know... Nobara 😏) and create a clan that isn’t jsit about power and corruption.
Tumblr media
3. Puto wants to kill Yuji and Megumi.
Okay, if we are being real here most people are like that tbh and wanting to kill a family member to take over the thrown. Hello, Scar from the lion king 😭 as much as I don’t want to say it but I kinda can’t wait for puto and Megumi to interact and everything. Lowkey would be cool. If Yuji and Megumi happen to actually see each other, we can see a good duo again with them and this time it would be a good fight since they already fought together before! But I am nervous on how he’s gonna go after them considering that Yuji is very vulnerable and Megumi too. Look, all I’m saying is homeboy is gonna get his ass beat 😭😭😂
Tumblr media
4. Megumi looking for Yuji
Honestly... are we really surprised? He was ready to murder and die for Yuji... again you can’t deny the fact that Megumi really cares for Yuji. And I’m a say this one more time: Yuji better acknowledges it becaus if he can acknowledge Nobara for being by his side and not being alone then he should do it with Megumi too. I have no seen Yuji done that or maybe he does it in the down low, who knows. Or maybe he did and I just forgot. But, yeah, while we are all like “ahhh” at the fact that Megumi is looking for Yuji, it still puts him in a bad position with his wack ass family.
Tumblr media
5. Yuji protecting Fushi and not returning to his friends
Very, very, very solid argument. I know I said that yuji hasn’t acknowledge that Megumi is willing to risk a lot of things for him but I appreciate him for doing what’s best for Megumi. Away from Sukuna. Yuji and Megumi has this guilt that’s been going on since they first met. They both want to protect each other but their way of protecting each other is different.
Yuji= staying away from Megumi
Megumi = Being by Yuji side no matter what
If I was in Yuji’s position I would’ve done the same. He already blames himself for a lot of things but I think he knows Fushi better and his friends that they know it’s not Yuji’s fault... it’s the fine ass curse fault for acting up. But still he wants to protect them. Understandable! I think if they give us a couple of more chapters we will see how things are. Remember, Choso told Yuji to go if he wanted to but he chose to stay for a very logical reason. Yuji’s friends are so damn important to him.
Also, I am very glad that my question had been answer about if yuji knows that Sukuna wants something from Fushi. Sukuna is evil... not Kurama evil but that mf is evil. We all have our theories that hes gonna use Megumi’s powers to help him. However, Megumi won’t slide. He’s probably gonna use his sister and Yuji against him. Which sounds about right to me becasue I know I would if I wanted something lol!
But one thing that I notice that is always going to be in the back of Yuji’s head is that saying that Fushi told him when they got into that one time argument. I really do hope that when Fushi and Yuji meet up they can finally talk. I know I’ve been waiting for them to have that closure and that never ending guilt that both of them have for each other, like, please... give us closure from our boys! 😭
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Other than that this was a good fucking chapter. I love that we get to see the second ark rise tbh like it gets my stomach all twisted and shit 😭
Oh... and Yuuta needs a slap on the face of he ever tried to do soemthing to Yuji because he should know his place better than anyone else. But I’m still gonna pretend that his lik scene with the higher ups was a circus show 😌 a standing ovation 😌

Show & Tell - Twenty Six
As you approach the Tokyo school's principal, he berates Gojo for his actions in Kyoto, to which the latter only pouts.
"Y/N," the principal then looks towards you with a sincere expression in his eyes. "I am happy to have you back, though."
"Thank you," you nod as you feel Gojo's eyes burn into your side, "I'm glad to be back."
"And I must apologize for tricking you that morning when I brought you to Kyoto," he bows.
"It's alright," you reply a bit awkwardly, hoping that Gojo will save you from the conversation.
"Yaga," he interrupts, standing up tall, "I need to update you on her situation."
"Very well," Yaga nods, "Let's go to my office."
On the walk to Yaga's office, you question why you must be in attendance. The two of them talk over you as though you aren't there anyway. And why shouldn't they? It's not like you really mean anything either to them, right?
The second Yaga shuts his door to his office, Gojo turns to you. "Can you tell him what you told me?" he asks.
Surprised, you only nod for a moment as you search for the right words to use. You finally begin by explaining to Yaga how you met Choso in the basement of your kidnapper's house and the boy whose body you just buried a little over an hour ago.
"If you don't mind my input," Gojo politely interrupts, "it's likely that others know she exists... such as Suguru."
Suguru? Like my Suguru?
"I was thinking the same," Yaga nods. "Keep a close eye on Y/N, okay? And don't leave her alone for too long outside."
"You got it," Gojo responds with a thumbs up. "That's what I was planning to do anyway. I had the perfect plan to take her out with me this afternoon."
"Since when?" you tease, calling his bluff.
"We don't have to go," he smirks, "if you don't want to."
"Of course I do," you smile, "I would do just about anything for a change of scenery."
"Don't pretend like you don't want to go out with me now," Gojo chuckles, "just the other night you-"
Yaga clears his throat, cutting Gojo off at just the right time. "Please remember that I am still here and while I have no problems with the two of you going somewhere, this is a professional setting."
"You got it," Gojo hums before holding his hand out to you. "Shall we?"
You nod as you wrap your hand around his and walk out of Yaga's room. Once you arrive outside of the building, Gojo stops.
"Can you be ready by four?" he asks seriously.
"Sure," you nod.
"Good. I'll meet you back here then."
When you turn to walk away, you can't help but be a bit confused by his motives. Little do you know that all motives float away from Gojo's brain momentarily as he watches you walk away.
Tumblr media
After spending some time getting ready for your so-called "date", you give yourself a small pep talk of encouragement.
It'll be alright. For the first time ever, he's actually not leading me to my death. Hopefully we'll go somewhere fun!
When you open the door leading out your room, you come face-to-face with the three first years. Kugisaki and Yuuji have wide grins and are working together to keep Megumi wedged between them.
"Oh," you gasp from the sudden and unexpected visit. "Are you guys alright? Did you need something?"
"We're fine," Kugisaki hums as she and Yuuji nod profusely, only to add more confusion to your situation.
"Going somewhere, Y/N?" Yuuji asks.
You finally place together what the three of them are doing. You narrow your eyes at Kugisaki, immediately pinning her as the culprit of all of this.
"You promised not to tell," you sigh.
"I didn't tell them about that," she attempts to whisper, "but the boys knew something was up so I told them that you have a crush on Sensei."
You try not to look too angry as your eyes gaze over to the two boys. However, Megumi looks to be in a worse mood than you, irritated even. Maybe they should let him go...
"Well, we hope you have fun on what looks like it'll be a date," Kugisaki continues. The two of them tighten their grip on Megumi as they pass you deceivingly innocent smiles. "Oh, and Fusiguro here has something to tell you."
Immediately, the black-haired male stiffens as his name is called. He then shakes his two classmates off of him and sighs. "I've known Gojo the longest out of us three," he tells you, "You seem good for him... he usually hangs out with girls that he just-"
"Get to the point," Kugisaki nudges him as she passes a threatening glance.
"I hope you have a good time," Megumi then finishes.
"Yeah!" Yuuji adds, "Have fun, Y/N!"
"Thank you guys," you smile as they make room for you to walk past, "I'll see you later!"
Kugisaki stands in front of your room as she sends you a large wave goodbye. You then turn around and exit the dorms. On your walk across campus, you stop suddenly.
Did I close my door?
Tumblr media
Extra Scene // Kugisaki's P.O.V.
"She's gone, let's go!" I exclaim as I grab onto Itadori and Fushiguro's arms and pull them into Y/N's room.
"Why are we in here?" Itadori asks a bit nervously.
"We shouldn't be in here," Fushiguro corrects him.
"Look," I say, putting my hands on my hips, "poor Y/N has hardly anything in her room. She's got nowhere else to live and it's such bullshit that she's always got to come back to... this! Let's fix it up for her!"
"How are we going to do that?" Itadori questions as he looks around the room.
"We'll go to the stores and get her stuff! Gojo's going with her so he won't be around to make us work or train or anything!" I convince them.
"Okay," Fushiguro nods. "I'm in. I think it'll cheer her up a bit. She's always-"
"So serious," Itadori shivers.
"Agreed," I nod, "come on. Let's go!"
A little while later, after the three of us return from our shopping, we see Gojo walking into Y/N's room. At first, we were a bit grossed out, but he left by himself so it wasn't a big deal (and luckily he didn't close the door on us).
Then, when we arrived in Y/N's room, it shocked us all to see that what Gojo dropped off in Y/N's room was quite beneficial to our plans.
