Hi, we are the official community of the "Book 4: Air (Restoration Project)." It is a community-made show bringing together pro VAs (from anime and video games), composers, writers (one who wrote promo materials for Avatar: The Last Airbender), sound engineers, comic artists, and more to create a pseudo-Book 4.
Using the official comics as well as original materials to flesh out the story, completely reorchestrated versions of the original soundtrack as well as new music, the project is creating a fully-dubbed and scored motion comic!
We’ve even recreated the Tsungi horn, a fictional instrument created for ATLA using a complicated audio process called “convolution” to combine the sound of a duduk and a trombone. That’s the haunting instrument you hear in the Blue Spirit theme.
Help us make the rest of Book 4, including original content!

"...has attractions and contents about comics, television series, movies, video games, literature, and Internet. It is the largest pop culture festival in the world."
I guess it's not exclusive to just comics, but I get what you mean. Heartstopper made sense, but YR content would be a little farfetched, I think.
Oh haha. I took the concept too literally 😅 but I guess it evolved from the original concept.
I think Tudum is more realistic, even though it’s probably not gonna happen. Would love for Omar to go to Brazil one way or another though.

Affluence and privilege were a birthright granted to those chosen to walk the halls of Château de Ensorceler. World renown for its historical and architectural significance; the château once held the esteemed distinction of being the residence of Lord Marques, a noble Frenchman of grand influence and wealth.
Crafted in the early 1500′s and tucked three hours away from the center of fashion and the elitist culture birthed in Paris, Château de Ensorceler carved out its place along the river Cher, near the small village of Chenonceaux.
In the late 1800s the dawn of a new era began and the Marques family opened their doors to those who shared their appreciation for status and possessed a desire to cultivate relationships with others who shared the same ideals and wealth.
Château de Ensorceler rebranded itself as a destination for relaxation and the preparation for the youngest members of illustrious families to make their grand introduction into society. For some this preparation came in the form of gentle fine tuning, rebranding, or the much needed guided therapy to address emotional and behavioral concerns.
If the stars aligned, these future social climbers emerged from Ensorceler with potential, marriages, alliances, and the promise of sustained wealth. A beacon to those who mourned the loss of open indulgence in greed and excess, the château unintentionally became something much more, a seat of power in a hedonistic new world order.

I’ve always been a fan of Telltale’s Walking Dead games but I never really got into the fandom. Recently, I’ve played all seasons again and the love I had for the games grew tenfold. It inspired make a fan comic of an alternative universe of the games. It’ll still take place in the apocalypse world. Think of it as a “What if” version of things. Like “What if this person was still alive?” or “What if this person returned?” or “What if these choices were made?”.
Pretty much to dive into a deeper depth of the characters we never got to really learn more of. We never really got to know what causes the kids of the boarding school to be sent there. Like Omar or Brody and Marlon. What did they do? What caused Ruby’s anger issues? What did Aasim do to be sent there if he seemed so level-headed? What were Louis’ parents really like? Violet’s life before everything went to shit? Willy’s chronic masturbation? Why Mitch made bombs and blew up his dad’s garage? Hell, how and what did Tennessee do to be sent there as well?
There’s a bunch of other stuff that we never got to see either. How did Tennessee get the burn on his face? What did Minerva and Sophie go through at the Delta? How did Delta start? How did Lilly find Delta and what was her life in there? What happened to her after she was left behind/abandoned the group? What happened to the other kids that went to that school? Or how Clementine gets through her trauma? What happened to AJ to make him bite or hit people when they sneak up behind him?
And a whole bunch of other stuff I asked myself when I played the games again. The list goes on and on. And it keeps growing the more I think about it.
I’m gonna be honest, I’m not looking forward to the Clementine comic. After seeing the short comic, seeing Clementine be so out of character and leaving behind AJ (after she promised she would never leave him), the ones she loves, the friends she cares about, and the home she fought so hard to protect, it left a bad taste in my mouth. Maybe I’ll be curious and watch YouTubers read the first comic or something just to see how the story plays out but I will never, for the life of me, buy the comic.
I can’t. No offense to Tillie Walden because her artwork is nice and it is a huge honor to be continuing such an unforgettable character’s story but the comic just felt disrespectful to Clementine’s character, to her story, and to the team who put together this amazing storyline. Again, it left a bad taste in my mouth.
So after some debating, I’ve decided to finish an alternate storyline I came up with after I played season 4 the first time. It’s called “From the Roots” which would follow Clementine’s story but more…I wanna say more realistically mature if that makes sense.
It will have gore, blood, graphic violence, nudity (no, not with minors), language, alcohol, etc. Anything that is expected to happen in an apocalyptic world. I’ll make sure to put a trigger warning for specific pages.
This is by no means a way to replace Tillie or her comic. It’s purely a fan comic (Please Skybound and Tillie, don’t sue me). It’s mostly to, I wanna say “scratch an itch” that’s been bugging me for a long time. I wanted to answer some questions that I’m sure a lot of us have asked ourselves at one point and I wanted to bring it to life in some way.
Plus it’s for enjoyment of the fandom as well.
After I finish writing the details of the story, I will turn it into a fan comic. Where I’ll post it, I’m not sure. I’ll cross that bridge when I get there. I just hope that the day I post it, you’ll all enjoy it just as much as I am excited for it to create it.
See ya soon.

PORTAL RUNNER - Review
DISTRIBUTOR: Terror Films
Tumblr media
SYNOPSIS: 15-year-old Nolan discovers a secret family legacy and a portal that enables him to travel to parallel worlds. It should have been a young boy’s dream come true but it becomes a nightmare when he realizes he’s being pursued across dimensions by an evil force. Nolan becomes stranded on Christmas in an alternate timeline with his quirky family and a rebellious and petulant older sister he’s never met before. He soon realizes Mae may be the key to defeating his adversary and has to try to enlist her help and fast, before it’s too late for them all.
REVIEW: If you’re a gamer, like I am, you can’t help but draw an inference to Valve’s successful video game series “Portal” and “Portal 2.” Plus, all us science fiction geeks can think of several films that share similar themes, like “Sliders.” PORTAL RUNNER is somewhat different, well it takes place during Christmas.
This is a low budget initiative that relies on the personalities to drive the film and the narrative. Everything is interconnected in a way that keeps it focused so it doesn't venture into the realms of big special effects. And it’s fine. The narrative kind of makes sense with a goofy child’s logic and the new dimension offers a strangeness to the sister and brother relationship that was enjoyable. I liked that Nolan travels to different dimensions where his family dynamic is altered. I appreciate the way the plot addresses Nolan’s actions and the team effort to set things right. Although I did find it a bit conflicting about Nolan’s actions and his ultimate choice. It kind of limits the implications of it being a morality tale. All in all, it's a fun tale with some good dialogue and  comedy the kids will enjoy.
The overall production values feel like the late 90’s kid’s TV shows, such as “Goosebumps.” It might feel like a trip down memory lane for some adults, but older kids might be unimpressed given many of the shows available on a variety of platforms these days. The simplicity of what the filmmakers pull off add to the goofy feel to the film. All the production values are fine and there is just enough here to allow the film to take you along for the ride.
I like the cast, especially the leads Sloane Morgan Siegel and Elise Eberle. First off they do an excellent job playing characters much younger than their actual ages. They truly fooled me. They also have an impressive number of credits to their name so it is with little wonder that they do such an excellent job here. Their performances do have a bit of a sitcom feel to it but it suits the tone of the film. They keep it fresh and light, accessible to a wide audience. I enjoyed the performances by the actors who played their parents, and especially enjoyed the performance of Brian S. Lewis as the absent minded and well intended Uncle Boon. Overall a nice ensemble.
PORTAL RUNNER is an entertaining family film. I don’t think it was intended for adults, but if you are still a kid at heart and remember the after school shows and Saturday morning programs of the 90’s it will feel like a trip down memory. There are some funny moments, and who couldn’t use a laugh these days. Director Cornelia Duryée does a credible job with J.D. Henning & Tallis Moore’s screenplay. There is something fresh about the film and it feels like a fun family night movie, more so the younger kids then the older teens. Still, in an age of highly polished effects driven films like the “Star Wars” and Marvel Comic Universe it's refreshing to watch an ambitious genre film. Something tells me had they had a slightly bigger budget they might have delivered something that left a bit more like “Goonies'' than ”Goosebumps.”
CAST: Elise Eberle, Sloane Morgan Siegel, Carol Roscoe, Brian S. Lewis, Matt Shimkus, Shaunyce Omar & Denny Mcauliffe CREW: Director - Cornelia Duryée; Screenplay - J.D. Top 10 favorite things about TFS?
Bold of you to assume I can narrow it down to just 10 things, but I’ll try my best.
Here’s a list of things I LOVE about The Final Season of TWDG, starting from #10 and working my way down to #1.
10. Rosie is best girl and doesn’t die
Listen, okay? If you give me a game with a doggo companion that I bond with only to have said doggo die for dramatic effect... you automatically lose 2 outta 5 stars on your rating. Case in point: Season 2.
However, tfs knew not to kill Rosie off for dramatic effect, knew it’d be cheap. Plus, Rosie is a sweetheart and I love that she helps Clementine come to terms with her past trauma with dogs and genuinely bonds with her. Rosie is best girl.
9. Over the shoulder camera/controls
They’re the best of the series, having come a LONG way since S1. Like, look... Don’t get me wrong. S1 isn’t unplayable or anything, far from it, but they’re not the greatest either. They’re pretty wonky at times, the fixed camera can get annoying when you’re moving around, and sometimes button presses don’t register. It’s definitely something I have to get used to whenever I go back and replay the entire series, and like I said, it’s not the worst controls in the world... but oh man, compared to TFS?
Have you ever played S1 and then jumped straight into TFS just to get a direct comparison of the two? Because I have and it’s jarring how much smoother, accurate, and overall better everything is in TFS.
Just... props, guys. Thank you for the over-the-shoulder, movable camera, thank you for the polished button prompts, and thank you for a run button that has Clementine go into a nice jog rather than a comical run or, eh... does nothing [lookin’ at you ANF... Javi slow].
It’s just so effortless to play. The most trouble I ever have is with doors but that’s a given- Doors make no goddamn sense in this series and I’ve given up trying to learn their secrets. Oh, and speaking of more improvements!
The shooting mechanic in this game is leaps better than in S1. Y’all remember the Motor-Inn shootout? The one that was such a frustrating pain in the ass?? So much death and anger...
I still die sometimes when shooting the walkers with the bow, especially the ones that are on fire, but it’s nothing compared to the shooting mechanic in S1, so the biggest THANK YOU for that one. It’s actually enjoyable to shoot stuff this time around.
8. Collectibles
You as Clementine get to pick up various collectibles to decorate her and AJ’s dorm with and it’s great. One of my favorite bits about this game is seeing Clementine wake up in this empty, lifeless room, and see it get brighter and brighter with every collectible you place throughout the game until you reach the final scene with AJ where the room is just FULL of life and personality. Like... it’s officially theirs. It’s such a good feeling!
And the devs totally didn’t have to add the collectible system in, but I’m so thankful they did. I’m one of those people who gets every single collectible every single time I play.
7. Ericson’s Boarding School for Troubled Youth
Y’know, I honestly can’t think of a better place for Clementine and AJ to end up than Ericson’s Boarding School for Troubled Youth. It’s awesome, I love it, what a great idea. I also love the sense of wonder when we step outside for the first time and see the inside of Ericson, as well as the others, walking around. Like even Clementine is taken back by it.
Because of course it makes sense for Clementine to end up in a school surrounded by people closer to her age rather than with a group of dumbass adults like in the past three games.
Here it feels like they’re all about on the same level. There’s no older person here belittling Clementine because “she’s just a child and doesn’t get it,” they’re just people, y’know? Hell, if anything, Clementine’s now the most experienced one!
The school’s great! I wouldn’t change a thing about TFS taking place here. The environments are beautiful and I love exploring the world.
6. Marlon as an antagonistic character/final confrontation
I have an entire Marlon character discussion/study so I won’t put too much time into this one, but I will say that I love Marlon’s part in tfs. I love him as a surprise antagonistic character, I love how chill he is in the beginning, I love the final confrontation at the end of ep1... I just really like Marlon, y’know?
Ray Chase gives a damn near perfect performance as Marlon, so much so that I wish he survived past ep1 just so that I could hear more of his acting. Marlon himself in an interesting look at a leader character hiding his shame and guilt while trying to maintain control over everyone [including himself] around him, only to be broken down when he’s found out.
5. James
I know people tend to be pretty split on James, but I personally really like his role in tfs. I love that they included a character who was apart of the Whisperers, and hell, if anything I’d like to know MORE about James’ past with them.
I just find him and his whole “walkers are sort of people? kinda?” beliefs. Again, I know some people get annoyed with him because of his beliefs but I think he adds an interesting spin on the whole thing, y’know? Though I do love what a bitch he is if you don’t agree with him hahaha
James is a bitch and I love him, okay? I love his dumb walker mask, I love his dumb boyband hair, I love his whispery voice, and I love his backstory with the Whisperers and Charlie. I love this he’s trying so hard to be this pacifist that he ends up doing the literal thing he said he doesn’t want to do-- hurt people. Y’know... like attempting to kidnap AJ and threatening to break Clementine’s leg in the caves if he’s alive.
Which, by the way, that whole cave scene is a thing. It’s wild and I love it but not for the reasons the devs probably wanted. Like... it’s a little hilarious? I know it’s not supposed to be! But I can’t take James seriously when he’s walkin’ around his hands on his hips all huffy and puffy, okay? It’s just wild.
Anyway, I love James and wouldn’t get rid of him. Hell, I’m still waiting for my James with the Whisperers mini-series, Skybound.
4. Ericson Crew
There isn’t a single character from Ericson that I don’t like, or that I’d get rid of, which is rare with these games. Thinking back to the previous games, there’s always at least one person I could do without or that I didn’t like. I adore all of them!
The Ericson crew just feels closer than previous groups. For starters, they’re way more likable than most in our previous groups. Even when there’s tension [and boy is there tension at points] you still get the sense that they don’t hate each other, unlike in our previous groups. They do in fact love each other as a family and will do what they can to protect one another.
Plus, they’re all interesting. They’re troubled youth and I love all of them!
Aasim keeps a daily journal where he chronicles everything in hopes of learning from past mistakes to prevent future ones, he’s damn good with a bow, and he’s got a neat little soul patch on his chin.
Ruby is the tiny yet fiery medic of the group who adamantly believes in manners yet used to chase teachers around with pitchforks.
Brody is caught up in the twin mess with Marlon but she’s also shown to want an escape, a road trip where she and her friends can go see the beach, but she also suffers with anxiety and panic attacks and isn’t afraid to knock Marlon on his ass or swear at Clementine.
Mitch is a grumpy, tall boy who looks after Willy like a brother, knows how to make bombs out of manure and propane, and used to fight his neighbors because they didn’t like his face.
Omar is a sassy chef who has to have every ingredient just right otherwise he’s salty for a week and he can take a bullet to the leg like a champ.
Willy’s a goober who can climb trees like you wouldn’t believe and he made a bomb of his own in Mitch’s honor that completely wrecked the delta’s ship.
Tenn is a soft, naïve boy who draws and reads but isn’t afraid to stab a walker bitch if he has to.
Violet was sent to the school after witnessing her grandmother’s dead, she used to date Minerva who is now “dead,” has abandonment issues,  tries to give off the appearance of a grumpy grump but like once she’s comfortable with you she’ll tell you her life story and do romantic shit like dancing and painting you a pin.
Louis was sent to Ericson because he was a rich brat who broke up his parents marriage because they wouldn’t let him take singing lessons and has felt like garbage ever since, using humor to cope and push people away, and keeps the façade on until someone’s willing to see past it in which he’ll finally bare his soul to you, name a song he wrote after you, and do everything in his power to keep you and everyone else safe over himself.
I just... Love ‘em all.
3. Clementine and AJ’s dynamic
To think that they almost killed AJ off, or kept him a minor character. That would’ve been a shame and an absolute waste because Clementine and AJ’s dynamic is super fucking good in tfs.
It’s actually a little baffling that AJ’s as good as he is, from his writing to his voice acting, he’s just great. And his relationship with Clementine is definitely one of my favorites to come from this game. It’s not perfect, but I don’t want perfect.
I love that AJ looks to Clem for guidance and I love the way our choices affect him, even when it’s a case of the bridge scene. Hate the bridge scene knowing that I gotta sacrifice a character I care about for another I love, but I can’t deny that I love how that choice is made. After everything, do you trust AJ or not?
Plus, their conversations are so well done, their chemistry is through the roof, and I wouldn’t change it.
Oh, and the barn scene? Gets me every time, even though I already know everything’s fine and gonna work out. Still gets me.
2. Clementine is Bisexual
I’ve talked about this in the past, but lemme just say that I love the fact that Clementine is canonically bisexual.
Doesn’t matter if you’re dating Louis, Violet, or no one, Clementine is still bisexual. The game confirms it through it’s text/subtext and Clementine’s actions that we don’t have control over, and the devs confirmed it. She ain’t straight, she ain’t a lesbian, she is bisexual.
I can’t express how happy that makes me. Just... 💗💜💙
And with her being bisexual comes her two great love interests: Louis and Violet. They’re amazing, and such an improvement over the previous game’s attempt at love interests... ahem, y’know... Kate.
1. Louis as a character/his relationship with Clementine
I mean... c’mon. Y’all knew what #1 was gonna be. Do I even need to explain? This entire blog is just me gushing about Louis/clouis.
Look, Louis is my favorite non-playable character across the entire series. Hell, even when you factor in playable characters, he’s STILL my absolute favorite. Like, even outside of his relationship with Clementine, I find him to be such a compelling character by himself.
Like I mentioned above, he came from a stupid rich family who gave him everything he ever wanted, but when his father wouldn’t let him take singing lessons, he literally worked for over a year to break up his parents marriage because “you get to be happy or you get to be rich, can’t be both.”
He gets sent to Ericson where the apocalypse happens, he never gets to make up with his parents, and he ends up using jokes and piano as a coping mechanism to deal with everything, falls into a cycle of being unreliable and the butt of the joke, and lives one day at a time without much thought for the future.
He puts on the happy jokester persona to push people away from knowing the real him and rarely shares much about himself. Hell, when Clementine does hunting and decides to take care of the walker with him, he actually does let down the wall for a minute to share his view on “this moment” before looking away like “Oof, shared too much-- HEY, GO CHECK ON AASIM :D I’LL BE OVER HERE :D FIXING THE TRAP :D and adjusting the wall ahem--”
It’s so interesting because you’d think that he’d be more open about his past with Marlon or the twins or whatever [like Violet is] but no, he doesn’t tell you shit about his past until EPISODE 3 and you have to work to get that story.
I just... I just love him. Could talk about and analyze his character for hours. And I love his relationship with Clementine. It’s just so good. The piano scene where they finally admit their feelings for one another?? That shit has my entire heart. Their entire relationship is my favorite. What else is there to say?

🔮 THE STORY 🔮 Sci-fi is like dream, aside from stories in this classification utilize logical arrangement to explain the universe that it requires place in. Writing that objectives posses, criminal associations that give a degree of association, and assets that help a lot bigger and more specialized criminal exchanges than an individual criminal could accomplish. Criminals will be the subject of a few motion pictures, especially from the period somewhere in the range of 1930 and 1960. A restoration of criminal sort films happened since the 1990s with the blast of hip-jump culture. Dissimilar to the sooner hoodlum films, the more current movies share comparative components to the more established movies yet is more in a hip-bounce metropolitan setting. An experience story is around a hero who excursions to epic or removed spots to perform something. It could have a considerable number of other classification factors included inside it, since it is an open type. The hero incorporates a mission and faces hindrances to get to their objective. Additionally, experience stories as a rule incorporate obscure settings and characters with valued properties or highlights. At first proposed as a classification by the makers of the pretending game Children of daylight, dieselpunk alludes to fiction propelled by mid-century mash stories, predicated on the style of the interbellum period through World War II (c. 1920–45). Like steampunk however especially observed as a the ascent of oil power and technocratic discernment, fusing neo-noir factors and sharing subjects more clearly with cyberpunk than steampunk. Despite the fact that the striking quality of dieselpunk as a classification isn’t totally uncontested, portions which range from the retro-advanced film Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow to the 2001 Activision computer game Return to Castle Wolfenstein have been recommended as quintessential dieselpunk works of fiction. A style when an entertainer acts before a live crowd, talking straightforwardly to them. The entertainer is generally alluded to as a comic, professional comedian, professional comic or simply a hold up. Some professional comics use props, music or sorcery stunts to improve their demonstrations. Stand-up satire is regularly acted in parody clubs, bars, neo-vaudevilles, schools, and theaters. Outside of live execution, stand-up is typically circulated monetarily by means of TV, DVD, and the web. like customary activity; instead of utilizing hand drawn pictures, stop movement films are made with little puppets or different articles which have their image taken regularly over a grouping of little developments to make liveliness outlines. Models are The Nightmare Before Christmas, Coraline, and Corpse Bride. 🔮 COPYRIGHT CONTENT 🔮 Copyright is a type of intellectual property that gives its owner the exclusive right to make copies of a creative work, usually for a limited time.[1][2][3][4][5] The creative work may be in a literary, artistic, educational, or musical form. Copyright is intended to protect the original expression of an idea in the form of a creative work, but not the idea itsDemon Slayer the Movie: Mugen Train.[6][7][8] A copyright is subject to limitations based on public interest considerations, such as the fair use doctrine in the United States. Some jurisdictions require “fixing” copyrighted works in a tangible form. It is often shared among multiple authors, each of whom holds a set of rights to use or license the work, and who are commonly referred to as rights holders.[citation needed][9][10][11][12] These rights frequently include reproduction, control over derivative works, distribution, public performance, and moral rights such as attribution.[13] Copyrights can be granted by public law and are in that case considered “territorial rights”. This means that copyrights granted by the law of a certain state, do not extend beyond the territory of that specific jurisdiction. Copyrights of this type vary by country; many countries, and sometimes a large group of countries, have made agreements with other countries on procedures applicable when works “cross” national borders or national rights are inconsistent.[14] Typically, the public law duration of a copyright expires 50 to 100 years after the creator dies, depending on the jurisdiction. Some countries require certain copyright formalities[5] to establishing copyright, others recognize copyright in any completed work, without a formal registration. It is widely believed that copyrights are a must to foster cultural diversity and creativity. However, Parc argues that contrary to prevailing beliefs, imitation and copying do not restrict cultural creativity or diversity but in fact support them further. This argument has been supported by many examples such as Millet and Van Gogh, Picasso, Manet, and Monet, etc.[15] 🔮 ADAPTATION 🔮 Sarah Paulson is my top choice, yet this film isn’t her best. I trusted that months for this will come out and I’m left asking why I was so energized. The trailer parted with everything. You knew the entire story before it even began. There was practically zero character improvement and everything just felt like it was 0–100 with no pacing at all. Likewise, the cosmetics office for Sarah’s last look-the hellfire would you say you were folks on when you thought of this? I really snickered when I saw her. It was an alright film. One that you’d be pissed on the off chance that you burned through cash on. Nothing new, normal, worn out acting. Additionally, no one realizes the proper behavior an asthma assault. This film had so many plot openings that it seemed like a parody. The mother can simply take an infant from the clinic? She harms her little girl for quite a long time and no specialist actually sees this during her regular visits? How did she manage the postal carrier’s vehicle? No one minded the postal carrier was absent? For what reason did the girl never get one of the numerous sharp or gruff articles around her and hit her mother? The mother leaves all her significant reports in a container sitting out and marked? For what reason would she tie up her girl’s wheel seat and not her girl? This is the means by which the entire film goes. The main redeemable nature of the film was Sarah Paulson’s very frightening acting. Likewise, this story has been done so often. I would not burn through my time watching this. Run is unsurprising and not extraordinary. The acting is phenomenal, while the story is fair. The story makes a magnificent showing of being exciting, yet it chiefly doesn’t go anyplace. I knew all that planned to happen despite the fact that I knew nothing. Nonetheless, There was one scene I appreciated where Clare says, “you need me.” The acting was only exceptional in that particular scene. In general, it’s a one time watch that you’ll most likely fail to remember. This is another film on Hulu by Aneesh Chaganty (and co-composed by Sev Ohanian), following up their realistic presentation Searching (2018) with a spine chiller including a mother and her 17-year-old little girl brought into the world with a few confusions (arrhythmia, hemochromatosis, asthma, diabetes, and most effectively loss of motion). I will say that it’s conceivable this film is superior to I preferred it, yet in the event that so it would be for its coordinating and acting, and less so about the composition. I felt like there were openings all over the place, and maybe an excess of is tossed at us too early for us to appropriately think about the characters and their circumstance. This sort of film has been done previously, absent a lot of new added to the table short the wheelchair perspective. There were a ton of components set up for what might have given a more grounded finishing conveyance and punch, yet the greater part of those beats were one-note and spent prior in the film as opposed to associating a solid inward weaving as Searching had the option to do. I went in visually impaired, and it’s possible better that I did given that the trailer is fairly uncovering. I don’t think it had a sufficiently high roof in any case to overshadow any wild absence of desires I previously had. My solitary desire was in the possession of the makers, and the most saving grace this film will probably have on crowds is I expectation they become mindful of Searching and see it sooner or later… which is the thing that I expectation the greater part of all of you can detract from this. That was my #1 film of 2018, and Run will tumble to the wayside as fairly convincing yet totally forgettable. The story and pre-assembled relationship just needed more squeeze once the credits rolled. This film was average, best case scenario. Try not to accept individuals giving it 8 or 9. The plot has been seen ordinarily, it was excessively unreasonable, and the closure failed. They attempted to showcase it as a loathsomeness/spine chiller however nothing about it is exciting. It’s a dramatization completely. I will say however, the entertainers did astounding with what they were given. Sarah Paulson was her standard sDemon Slayer the Movie: Mugen Train, great, not honor commendable. Be that as it may, Kiera Allen truly captured everyone’s attention. She made the film (which delayed for what seemed like 2 hours) watchable. In the event that you appreciated The Act or have nothing else to watch, give it a go. What’s the point of messing with this poop. It resembles a low lease endeavor at a spine chiller yet you definitely know the closure. The faltering endeavors at tension are more irritating than anything. It’s a terrible lifetime film to be straightforward. Furthermore, I like lifetime motion pictures! It’s additionally excessively coordinated, the music is exhausted and the acting isn’t incredible

America’s Most Eligible 3 Diamond Scene: HeroCon
You: I’m ready for my close-up! Next stop, HeroCon. Omar: Great. Get a move on. We’ll tip off the reporters. Wrenn: Have fun, but most importantly, ham it up for the cameras. We’ll be filming from a distance. You: Will do. Ready for this, Fiancée? Fiancée: I was born ready. You two run away hand in hand, causing a commotion as you manoeuvre through the crowd. One by one, the press follows, hot on your heels. Ivy: Wait, don’t leave! I was just about to tell you my pre-wedding exfoliating regimen!
You arrive surrounded by reporters and their cameras, drawing attention from the HeroCon attendees. Your fiancée smiles and waves. You: Wow, can you believe this place? Fiancée: I can feel my inner nerd getting stronger by the second. A reporter waves wildly to get your attention. Malcolm Tate: Jamie, Fiancée! You ditched Ivy and Vince’s press conference to come to HeroCon. The question on everyone’s mind… Why?
You: Because… -My fiancée can’t help but spoil me.
You: Wedding planning is hard work, so of course my fiancée wanted to whisk me away to regroup. Fiancée: Taking care of you is part of my job now, after all.
-I want to see it with my one true love!
You: We may have the rest of our lives to make memories together, but I want to get a head start! Fiancée: For us, forever started after they said, ‘Yes’.
Fiancée: But now that we’re here, what do you want to do? Fiancée: We could go to a meet and greet, play some games, take pictures with cosplayers… The sky’s the limit! You: With so many great choices, this is gonna be a tough one…
You: Let’s… -Take pictures!
You size up a nearby gladiator as he swings a mace and challenges fans to duel. Fiancée: I hear these cosplayers are pretty serious about their craft. Are you sure about this, Jamie? You: Positive. You march over to the gladiator and face him head on. Gladiator: Three enter my arena. One shall leave. You: Uh, can we just have a picture? Gladiator: Only those that defeat me in combat may take my likeness.
You: In that case… -Prepare to die!
You and your fiancée arm yourselves and face him menacingly. Gladiator: We who are about to die salute you. You: Right back at ya. The three of you throw punches and fake blows until the gladiator throws up his hands in surrender. Gladiator: You have proven yourselves worthy adversaries. I yield. You may have your reward. The cameras rush over and take photos of the gladiator kneeling at your feet as you and your fiancée stand triumphantly.
-We surrender.
Gladiator: Aww, come on! I worked on this costume for months, and no one wants to fight me? You: It’s just because… you’re so scary! Fiancée: Right! You’re the scariest guy here, and no one wants to risk a humiliating defeat. Gladiator: Really? You: Totally. I’m shaking in my boots! Gladiator: Well, maybe one picture with you guys will show everybody that I’m cool. You: It’s worth a shot. You, your fiancée and the gladiator squeeze in tight for the cameras while the crowd looks on. By the time you two step away, a line of fans ready to wage war has formed.
You: That was… something. Fiancée: But on the bright side, at least we can say we’ve gotten the full HeroCon experience.
-Play video games!
You: It looks like they have an arcade section. Ready to get schooled? Fiancée: You have no idea what you’ve just done. You’re on. You and your fiancée manoeuvre through the crowd as you lead your entourage to the old school arcade machines. At the front, you notice a familiar game. You: Check it out… It’s Solar Strike. A teen leans over from a nearby machine. Teen: Pretty sweet, huh? It was custom-made for this year’s HeroCon. You play? Fiancée: We’re about to. Ready, Jamie? You: Let’s do it. Your fiancée watches over your shoulder as you ready yourself at the controllers. Quickly, the loading screen boots up…
And the game drops in on a deserted rooftop overlooking a busy city! You peek over the edge and take notice of the steep drop. Suddenly, the speakers blast the high speed whirring of a nearby helicopter, and the camera angle adjusts in time to watch an evil villain drop from the sky. Villain: … Solaris: Hey, big guy. I think it’s time for your nap. You hit the villain with a flurry of attacks, knees, elbows, fists, and feet all connecting in swift blows. Solaris: What’s the matter? Too fast for ya? Before you can think, he catches you with a wild punch, dealing a devastating blow. Solaris: Oof! Villain: Kneel before my victory! Solaris: Not in this lifetime. You leap into a jumping kick and knock the villain’s head sideways before sweeping his legs, his health bar turning a sickly yellow… Villain: Ahh! But still, he gets to his feet, ready for more. Solaris: He just keeps coming. I’ve gotta knock him off the roof… without getting too close myself.
Solaris: … -Use a solar flare! +SOLARIS
The villain charges you as you ready a solar flare and aim it at his chest. You: Time to say goodnight. A burning beam shoots from your hand, connects with the villain, and sends him reeling backward. Quickly, you flip over his head and land in a crouch. Solaris: Have a nice trip. You extend your leg, catching his ankle and sending the villain toppling over the edge. With an echoey scream, the villain falls to his doom. Villain: Ahhhhhh!
-Push him! -HEALTH
You: This ends now. You rush forward at a breakneck speed, just as the villain begins to charge you. Solaris: Incoming! You slam into the villain, forcing him backward… but he latches on! Your momentum sends you both careening over the edge of the building. Solaris: Nooo! Villain: Death comes for us both.
-No action -HEALTH
You: This ends now. You rush forward at a breakneck speed, just as the villain begins to charge you. Solaris: Incoming! You slam into the villain, forcing him backward… but he latches on! Your momentum sends you both careening over the edge of the building. Solaris: Nooo! Villain: Death comes for us both.
Solar Strike: Enemy defeated.
You: Whoa, talk about intense… Fiancée: I’m totally buying that once it releases!
-Meet some celebrities!
You and your fiancée wander over to the meet and greet booths, marvelling at the long lines of fans waiting for autographs and photos. You: There’s no way we can wait in one of these lines and make it back in time. Fiancée: You think there’s any chance they’ll let us skip? Before you can respond, a woman walks up with a pad and pen, self-consciously fixing her hair as she smiles for the cameras. Fan: HeroCon has really stepped up their celeb game! I love AME… Do you think I could have your autograph? You: It’s the least we can do to thank you for watching. Fan: Wait until everyone at school sees this. I’m gonna be on TV! You sign your name and pass the pad to your fiancée who decorates the page with cursive script. Immediately, a line forms as more fans rush over for photo ops and signatures. Voice: It’s a sad day when I’m not even the coolest guy at HeroCon. You turn to find the source and come face to face with a man in glasses. He extends his hand for a handshake and smiles as you return it. Ben: I’m Ben Park, the artist responsible for Solaris. You: It’s nice to meet you. I’m Jamie, and this is my fiancée.
You: I’ve gotta admit, I… -Am your biggest fan!
You: I’ve actually followed your career from the Venus Corps days. Fiancée: Starfall is still a legendary game. You: What’re you doing on the east coast? Ben: Didn’t you know? HeroCon’s my Coachella. I make the pilgrimage to this convention every year.
-Have never heard of you.
You: Are you a celebrity or something? Ben: Not really. I used to illustrate for Venus Corp, the comic book company that made Starfall. Nowadays, I freelance and work on a web comic. Fiancée: I thought you looked familiar. Fiancée: Your poster is all over the convention centre. You’re like comic book royalty! Ben: If that’s true, I have the world’s most flammable kingdom.
Ben: And as long as we’re being honest, AME is kinda my guilty pleasure. But I didn’t realise you had such an extensive film crew. Fiancée: Actually, we’re here to drum up a more interesting storyline than Ivy and Vince’s love story. Ben: I must’ve missed an episode. Those two are a couple? You: They’re engaged. And if we want to get married at the end of the special, we need to impress the judges and win over America. Fiancée: With all of the trademark AME twists and turns along the way. Ben: Well, you can count on my vote. And any fans of mine that are watching should vote for team Jamie- Fiancée too. +50 You: Thanks for that. Something tells me we’re gonna need all the help we can get. Ben: No problem. I’ve gotta get back, but good luck, Jamie. I’m rooting for you two.
The reporters grow restless and move in closer. You do your best not to wince as the bright lights sting your eyes. Your fiancée shifts to shield you from the glare. You: Even in front of a million cameras, I feel like you’re the only one who really sees me. Fiancée: Think that’s a good enough reason to spend the rest of your life with me? You: I hope so. Can you imagine the AME divorce special we’ll have to do otherwise? The cameras continue to crowd around you, the reporters looking on impatiently, some checking their watches. Fiancée: What do you say we give them something to look at before we head back? You: My pleasure.
You: … -Flash my ring!
You: You guys might want to shield your eyes. This thing’s got some kick! You hold your hand out to the reporters, and your engagement ring sparkles in the flashing camera lights. Gloria Ortiz: The fans are gonna go crazy for this. My story’s gonna break the internet! Allen Bennett: Not if I beat you to it.
-Kiss your fiancée!
You pull your fiancée close until their chest is flush with yours, your eyes locked on their lips. They smile, and the rest of the world falls away. You press your mouth to your fiancée’s hungrily, their hands finding the small of your back as you bite their lip gently. They moan, and you slide your hands lower… Malcolm Tate: Whoa! Any more, and I won’t be able to use this footage. Gloria Ortiz: Your network has always been soft. ‘Mix It Up Miami’ is ready for whatever you two throw at us!
The reporters bicker between themselves, and your fiancée gives your fingers a soft kiss before lacing them in their own and leading you back to WedCon.

Meet the New Comic Shop Opening the Door for Inclusion
The news has not been good for Local Comic Shops this year. Many shops are closing as the market shifts. But a few weeks ago a new shop opened up in Lexington, Massachusetts. Lexington has a strong connection to superhero comics as writer Kurt Busiek was raised there. And now Lexington has Omar’s World of Comics whose proprietor has a enthusiastic love of comics that he shares with everyone who comes in.
Omar Masood, who is 22, is a student in a High School program designed for students with special needs. Omar will age out of the program this year and he is now working at his chosen vocation - comics.
Tumblr media
When I visited the store earlier this week, Omar and I talked a bit about his love of comics. His favorite superheroes are “Black Panther, Spider-Man, Hulk and Captain America.” And as you can see by his shirt, Superman. That said if he had to pick two comics to bring to a desert island it would be Batman and Green Arrow. He has pretty firm opinions on the actors who have best portrayed superheroes - Adam West as Batman and Henry Cavill as Superman.
,As you can probably guess, I asked him who his favorite female superheroes were and he quickly said Wonder Woman and Batgirl.
Clearly, Omar has excellent opinions.
But there’s more to this store than just the man whose name is on the door. The shop is big, brightly lit and welcoming.
Tumblr media
Inside there is clearly marked are for kids comics.
Tumblr media
There is lots of comic related merchandise including the very popular DC Superhero Girls and stuffed toys for the youngest fans.
Tumblr media
The store has the newest comic floppies and shelves of graphic novels.
Tumblr media
In addition to comics and comic related merchandise the store also features games and game nights.
The store is being backed by Omar’s parents according to Wicked News with less of a focus on profitability and more providing an opportunity for Omar.  The store has a manager, Sally Hoops, who told me she is a newcomer to comics.
Omar also hires his friends, interns from the same program he is graduating from, to work in the store.
The store also has a rock hard code of conduct policy that states, they “are dedicated to providing a harassment-free shopping and event experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, or religion, or any other factor.”
A few weeks ago I discussed on Twitter the challenges of the LCS and the hard fact that the market is changing and the market will need a new strategy. More focus on trades and toys for one thing. And of course a realization that they must reach out beyond their traditional demographics. Omar’s shop is the kind of shop I was thinking of. It’s family friendly, it has a good mix of products. And there is no question it is welcoming to all.
You can find out more about Omar’s World of Comics here.

Cryptozoic Entertainment, leading creator of tabletop games, trading cards, and collectibles, in collaboration with Warner Bros. Consumer Products and DC, today announced the launch of the Kickstarter campaign for the DC Deck-Building Game 10th Anniversary.
Backers can preorder Kickstarter editions of two upcoming games in the DC Deck-Building Game series: Injustice, based on the popular comics and video games, and Rivals – The Flash vs. Reverse-Flash. Fans can also pledge for two new editions of the DC Deck-Building Game: Multiverse Box for storing their collections, two exclusive playmats, and Multiverse Editions of six DC Deck-Building Game base games that include all components except the packaging and rulebooks for a lower price.
“After 10 years, we wanted to celebrate the amazing history and fans of the DC Deck-Building Game,” said John Sepenuk, CEO of Cryptozoic. “We’re ready to pull out all the stops with incredible exclusives both for players who have loved the series for a long-time and for those eager to jump in now. We love these DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains as much as the fans do, so we’re excited to produce the best DC Deck-Building Game products yet and kick off the series’s next decade with a bang!”
DC Deck-Building Game: Injustice puts players in the world of the hit Injustice: Gods Among Us video games and comic books as Batman and his insurgents battle against a tyrannical Superman. Using the Brawl version of the Cerberus Engine, players land devastating blows and block their opponents’ strikes. The Kickstarter Exclusive cover is by renowned artist Well-Bee (Marvels X, The No Ones) and the game cards feature both original art by six talented artists from Altercomics Studio and art directly from the Injustice comics.

DC Deck-Building Game: Rivals – Flash vs. Reverse-Flash lets two players become part of the high-speed battle between the iconic rivals. Each player has three unique Character cards, each with more formidable abilities and a higher cost than the previous one. Players use the cards in their hands and special abilities like “Speedster” to buy cards and confront each other until either The Flash or Reverse-Flash stands victorious.

The new DC Deck-Building Game: Multiverse Box is available in both a Super-Villains Edition featuring a Kickstarter Exclusive cover and a Super Heroes Edition. Powder Keg, originally titled Krudttønden, is a biographical drama that explores the events leading up to the 2015 Copenhagen shootings in the wake of the Charlie Hebdo shooting in France a month prior. The film revolves around four people who would find their lives rocked by the event, including an aging police officer, a struggling-to-find-work security guard, a filmmaker, and a recently released criminal who finds himself increasingly influenced by more radical Islamist groups.

Game of Thrones alum Nikolaj Coster-Waldau spoke with Screen Rant to discuss the docudrama, its efforts to remain honest to the tragic events and people involved, and what he took away from the project.
Screen Rant: This was a really powerful movie, it’s a really interesting exploration of the tragic events. How familiar were you with those events prior to signing on for the film?
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau: I was very familiar with that day. I was home, I live just north of Copenhagen and it’s a small country. It was a national trauma that had happened because we in Denmark felt we were isolated from that kind of event. Just before this thing happened, there [were] these horrific attacks in Paris at the Charlie Hebdo paper that we obviously followed with horror, but then when it happened in Copenhagen, it really was just a wave of shock. So I was very familiar. and it was a big reason why I wanted to be part of this movie.
So your character, is he based on one specific person, or is he sort of a composite of multiple real people involved?
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau: Rico, the cop that I play who is the anti-terror squad leader, is not a specific cop, because, you know, you just can’t give those names out and they wouldn’t want us to. But we talked with — myself, the writer, director — with all the researchers and had discussions with those people, so he’s not a real person, but he is based on reality.
What were some of the biggest lessons that you took away from the research and from talking with these real people to help sort of inform your performance?
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau: There’s the basic, as with any part, of how much work they do, how much training, [chuckles] how hard it is, which obviously I could use for Rico. My character feels like he’s at the peak of his career, but his body is telling him, “No, you are at the end of it, my friend.” He wants life to go on as it always has and this is his whole identity, so I could use that directly, that knowledge. But also, I think what I loved about the story, about the script, was how they chose to follow these four characters that day and insist on the humanity that they all share. I think with this story, what was so shocking was that with some terrorist attacks around the world — 9/11 is of course the defining moment of the last 20 years in the Western world — these were people that came from somewhere else, it was like a foreign attack if you will.
Here it was a Danish citizen who chose to do this, who decided that discussion is no longer an option, the only way forward is by killing the people I don’t agree with and I think that is so tragic and so disturbing and so sad that we got to that point. It’s also why I think it’s important that we all have to acknowledge that, as much as we might not want to, we are also part of the problem of division. We see it all over the world, this whole weird time we live in where politics becomes Mortal Kombat sometimes and that it’s no longer okay to disagree, that if you disagree with me, you’re a bad person. We need to change our ways because it leads to destruction and fear and it undermines what we kind of all want to achieve and that is what I love about this movie. In this story is that it insists on the fact that we are all in this together.
Whether it’s Omar who commits the killings — obviously this is his choice, he’s a grown man, he is responsible, but how did this 20-year-old end up doing this? Are there any moments before this where you go, “Well, maybe if we as a society had done something differently? Is there something different [we should do] differently,” but to at least have the discussion, I think, is very important.
Looking at all of those elements coming into the film, what would you say was one of your biggest creative challenges throughout the production?
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau: I think the biggest challenge was, “Is making this movie too soon?” When something really traumatic happens, how much time does it need before you can actually look at it with a healthy perspective, if you will. I think that, obviously, we came to the conclusion that it was important. Even when I got the script, I was like, “Oh, yeah, when was that?” And I thought it was further back in time. Sometimes when traumatic things happen, we get through them, and then we want to forget about it, especially with this one as it did not fit the self-image we had as a country.
That feeling almost made it more important for me, because I was shocked by that I myself was like, “Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, that happened. And was that 15 years ago? No, it was four years ago. Oh, s***.” Because the problem hasn’t gone away. We see that on a small scale in neighborhoods where people fight like crazy or you see it on a global scale, now you have the withdrawal from Afghanistan. Then you go, “Well, we tried to solve an issue by brute force 20 years ago and it did not really turn out the way we want it. Not because we didn’t have all the best intentions and all the goodwill, it just didn’t work. So how can we deal with these things in a better way?” Sometimes it can be very painful to talk about it, obviously, but it’s I do think it’s important to insist on.
I couldn’t agree more. This film also marks an interesting sort of trend for you lately in which we’re getting to see you return to more Denmark-based productions. What’s that been like for you, getting to speak in your native tongue more often on camera in comparison to, obviously, Game of Thrones and such?
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau: Yeah, it’s funny because it wasn’t really a plan to do three Danish movies, but I just loved these very different scripts and it just felt like, “Yeah, I’ll do that.” I got to see my family a bit more, which was also a wonderful bonus, but I love the stories and that’s always what I allow to dictate the choices I make. Since then, I just came back from Mexico, where I did this very American movie, so now I’m back to the Anglo world.
You got to have a good balance of both, right? So you mentioned the physicality of your character and how that connects to his story and though there’s not a whole lot of action scenes in the film, there are a few involving your character. How was the physicality for you from the actor’s perspective as much as the character?
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau: It was interesting, I mean with this movie there was some specifics that were, I wouldn’t say challenging, but challenging production-wise and also in terms of just being very careful of the subject matter, because it’s a real story and we wanted to be as close to what happened on that night. It’s very sensitive because three men were killed and we were shooting in neighborhoods where that happened where there is still a lot of tension, so I think the challenge was more about being truthful, but also be very, very careful not to make it seem as if we’re trying to take advantage of a tragedy. I’m obviously, because I was part of the creative team behind the movie, I’m proud of the movie and I feel we’ve managed that balance, but that was, I think, the biggest challenge.
I think it was a very special movie to make [for everyone involved] because every one of us had a relationship to that story and knew that story and it was such an emotional day [when it happened]. At the end of the movie, you see this huge march of light that happened the following day after the attack in Copenhagen where people came out, just walked very peacefully with torches, insisting on reacting in a peaceful, loving way to something so horrific. I’m answering your question in a very, very, very long answer [laughs], but I think the biggest challenge was the fact that this was a real story that happened recently and it affected everyone, both us making it but also, I would argue, most people in Denmark.
Given how personal it was for you, how does it feel to finally have it coming to the States after initially coming out last year?
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau: It’s wonderful that it’s coming out. When it came out in Denmark, like so many other movies we came out on Friday after the Tuesday the country was shut down. [Laughs] It was, you know, it was disappointing in that way. A pandemic affects everyone, of course, but I’m very happy that it has a life because I also think that it’s a universal story. I think whether you’re American or Danish, you can relate to the horror of terrorism and – obviously, in the US you have had more attacks – but the way it affects you is the same I think.

Kat Graham Makes History as the First Black April O'Neil in Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
A handful of famous folks will head down into the sewers and munch on some pizza: Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has found its heroic reptile brothers.
The Nickelodeon animated series about a quartet of crime-fighting brothers with about-to-be-explored ninja powers has tapped Omar Miller (Ballers) as the oldest sibling/ringleader Raphael, Ben Schwartz (Parks and Recreation) as the charming Leonardo, Josh Brener (Silicon Valley) as tech whiz Donatello, Brandon Mychal Smith (You’re The Worst) as the skateboarding artist Michelangelo, and Kat Graham (The Vampire Diaries) as their human friend April O’Neil. Graham will voice the first African-American April.
The series, which will debut next year with 26 episodes, chronicles the exploits of the turtle brothers as “they encounter new allies and villains and discover a mystical world they never knew existed beneath the streets of New York City.”
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise began as a comic book series in the ’80s before expanding to film, TV, and video games. In 2012, Nickelodeon debuted a computer-animated series, simply titled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, that ran for five seasons, and in 2014, Transformers’ Michael Bay brought the franchise to the big screen with a film starring Will Arnett and Megan Fox. The two actors then reprised their roles in the 2016 sequel, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.
