Hello :D I’m a newer reader to your fic (saw some awesome fan art and had to investigate) and I’d just like to start out by saying HOLY SHIT IT’S JUST SO INSANELY GOOD AND IM ONLY ON CHAPTER 20

Y’all should be so proud of yourselves TAMN is honestly one of the best written aus I’ve ever had the pleasure of stumbling onto across all the fandoms I’ve ever been a part of. Kudos kudos kudos and more kudos!

Anyways, the crux of why I’m even writing this in the first place (other than an excuse to sing y’all’s praise) is I recently found a song that just reminds me so much of this fic and I wanted to share with y’all :)

I haven’t had a chance to look at the playlist made for TAMN, so if it’s on there my bad, but the songs called Grandma Became a Zombie, by Kriill. And I know, one could claim it’s a bit on the nose with how much they say zombie in it, and this is literally a zombie apocalypse au, but I honestly think like 95% of the lyrics are scarily close to how I interpret this fic.

Anywho, thought I’d put this gem on y’all’s radar if it hasn’t been already. Once again I’m only on Chapter 20, so I have no idea if this song reflects later chapters, but if you see a random animatic pop up using this song, chances are it’s probably me lol.

ITOSHI RIN pretends that a long distance relationship would kill him.

the chances of him getting into a relationship in the first place is already rare enough, but long distance? on the other side of the earth? he's not sure if he'd be able to do it.

but once he gets into a relationship with you, everything seems to change. sure, at first, it's pretty awkward; he's a dry texter and pretty busy, as well as the difference in time. but even with that, and the thousands of metres of land and sea between you, somehow he falls deeper and deeper in love with you. even with the lack of return in affection, you're so committed, committed to loving him, and he doesn't understand why.

was it continuing to text him even though he couldn't respond so he could see the accumulated messages that document your entire day? was it all of the different heart emojis you would send when he says he misses you back? or maybe it was how his sleep schedule was slowly shifting for the worse with how often he stays awake on the phone with you?

it could be anything, really. his love language has already unknowingly made a dramatic shift, sending you gifts and in game currency for all of the stupid games you play together. he even spent an ungodly amount of money just for a setup.

he wants to use words, but he's afraid of how they'll come out. and things would be a lot easier for him if he just booked a plane ticket and flew over to see you.

not very fond of parties & never been to one. this is just a silly idea i thought of. :3

you always make him sit on your bed, give him snacks and water and his beloved ipad. so that he doesn't get too bored when he has to wait for you to change outfits, decided if a top fits better with a skirt or pants, or if you should wear heels with this one or your loafers, etc. he doesn't get that bored because he does love seeing you model clothes, especially if he's the one who chose and bought them. (with daddy's money? who knows.)

you, of course, make him help you with the zipper, buttons, or ribbons that you need help with tying up. though, it'd have to take a couple of tries since he does them horribly wrong sometimes (he'd grumble about why women always wear such complicated clothing). if you're running a bit late, you'd make him help with drying your hair or fixing your makeup (he's surprisingly okay).

he doesn't really care about what you wear to the party. he knows that you can take care of yourself and he, sort of, trust your friends (mostly the female ones) so it's fine. as long as it still covers you though. and if you're comfortable in it.

also, he's pretty confident with himself so when you ask him if he's really okay with what you're wearing to a party that has guys in it, he'd respond “who cares what you wear? i can fight.” and he's true with his words. if a guy says something inappropriate about you or looks at you weirdly, they'd have to speak with rin's fists. believe me when i say that they hurt. the poor (not really, they're creeps) boys might need a couple of weeks to get their faces fixed.

Currently obsessed with the concept of mutual and acknowledged hanahaki. Like two people who both have hanahaki for each other, and who both know about it, who both know that the other loves them and still aren’t cured.

The flowers stay, not because their love isn’t reciprocated, but because they don’t belive in it, or because its temporary, because the other deserves better, because they have complicated history, because they both already have significant others, perhaps the love isn’t enough because they both can’t put that love first, maybe their ideals and lotalties come first for both. Its not unrequited love, but its not quite enough.

how long does it take you to draw your sketches/doodles? also do you have any tips to draw faster? 🙇‍♀️

I generally take 30 - 60 minutes a sketch,,,, but honestly really depends on how detailed it is.

Like a Chibi will be done in 20 - 25 minutes (Counting in the extra time I spend on minute details like a perfectionist 😭)

I for some reason really like spending egregious amounts of time on random objects too??? Unless it’s the in the background, I’ll spend 40 minutes refining it.

Random characters that are fully colored and rendered with take like 80 minutes.

The comics take usually take an hour or two per page. (If I decide to cross hatch it, my entire day will be gone with 4 pages… so I’ve been trying to find shortcuts. But not without sacrificing the quality for time lol)

I don’t think there’s any trick or magic to drawing faster. It’s really about weaponizing your artistic knowledge, and finding what’s comfortable or convenient for you!

There was a period of time where I would spend 11 or 12 hours on an illustration, and it wASS UGLYYYYY. (Some of these artworks are still available on my tumblr,,, but it’s SO LONG AGO, AND IT WAS MY 1ST OR 2ND YEAR GETTING INTO DIGITAL ART)

Overtime I learned what worked best for me, and practiced till I felt more comfortable with what I was drawing. Eventually I managed to shorten the time to 4 hours or less! Ambition was my biggest enemy but at the same time my biggest motivator. (And it still is LMFAO) 😭

EDIT (bit more to my way too long tangent): ALSO??? BRO DON’T BE AFRAID TO USE YOUR MESSY SKETCH AS LINEART OR DRAW ON TOP OF IT. I’VE DONE IT FOR YEARS NOW AND IT ADDS SUCH A GOOD EXTRA BIT OF TEXTURE,, AT THIS POINT I DON’T EVEN USE LINE-ART ANY MORE UNLESS IT’S A COMMISSION,, (IT’LL ADD LIKE AN 2-4 HOURS TO MY WORK)

genuinely though this fic is absolutely amazing, an angsty-fun mix of sugar, spice, and everything nice as scarian tries to navigate the end of the world and i cant see where it goes next uwu <3

BUT ALSO: YA LMAO, when you take out all the zombies and angst, TAMN is 300k of Grian and Scar going "damn, every single of version of poly is Not For Us." They systematically go through every permutation just to end up at "unfortunately, this would not fix us." (Scar may have two hands, but Grian is the ultimate Handful....)

you say they can’t put telepaths in marvel rivals, yet we have some very credible leaks that jean grey and emma frost are gonna be in the game soon.

that being said, jean has telekinesis (and the phoenix force) and emma has her diamond form. telepathy is all charles has, lmfao. odds are pretty low for him, but maybe not zero if they give him telekinesis!
