And then there's the Butcher
Tumblr media
Who was the last one added and was a part all along of the multiverse, when that became a fully established element of the cosmology. She reflects what I call 'parallels' insofar as they are the equivalent alternate universe selves of people. In her case she is a parallel of the main character of the series, Xaderavcal the Unifier. This particular parallel would seemingly be 'Mary Sue' except that she gets there by an extradimensional incursion slaughtering her family and the basic function she fills was a case, prior to reading anything about the World Eaters, of being her family's equivalent of Angron.
As in 'she introduces herself in a rain of blood and wherever she is, whatever she lands on isn't.' She's less the Executioner and more the Destroyer. And like all her kin she has many names, most of which are various euphemisms for annihilation and butchery because that's....exactly what she is and how she goes about doing it.
As the Urhalzantrani are an entire species of immortal imperialists she's essentially imperialism stripped of its refined traits and as such a parallel to the arch-villain and the irony that one of these is the 'hero' and one of these is the 'villain' is meant to show that at a cosmic level if it's Azarath flaying your soul and reconstructing you as a flesh-puppet for the mad God on the Gilded Throne to torment indefinitely or this one, people might be forgiven for wondering where the difference actually lies.

Did you said Gwevin Beauty and the beast? Don’t worry I have that too 👌
7 hours of my life redrawing the og picture of Belle and Adam and I swear, drawing ultimate Kevin is a WHOLE different story. He gave me hard time but I don’t mind it one bit. I’m actually proud of how it turned out . I added him a sort of armor chest plate cause it would’ve been too difficult to dress him up , and it would’ve been ✨so not elegant✨ to leave him bare chested.
Already working on the other version after the transformation in his human form . Maybe even two of them cause I so want to redraw the kiss scene too. For now is all . Till the next one !!

I love this moment from Rook Tales.
The fact that Rook did a suplex and almost immediately followed it with an elbow drop…
He totally learned that from Rath, and you can’t and won’t convince me otherwise. 😆

Fake and Real chronology/timeline in Ben 10 (ARCHIVE)
Every year I've to explain that the chronology of my comics is a real chronology of the series (I will explain it shortly) and it's always due to the question about Rook's age.
If you're a fan of my comics/drawings you need to read this, if you're just a Ben 10 fan you can read it if you want (It's just a curiosity).
Many take into account wiki fans but are wrong about the ages, Don't get me wrong, in AF they clearly have birthdays over the course of the series (14-15 to 16).
Tumblr media
Well, the "fake chronology" it's a marketing thing. Ben will always be 16 (the crew talked about this too). It's like the character always wearing the same clothes or the characters never grow old.
In the end of AF Kevin mentions that he has a birthday (18) soon but in UA he is still 17 (in Omniverse he is still 17).
If we take into account the "real chronology", Kevin is 18 at UA and Gwen and Ben turn 17 during the series.
If we take into account the real timeline of Ben and Gwen being 18 in Omniverse and Kevin being 19, it makes sense for Gwen to go to college (because the characters don't grow in the fake timeline, the excuse is that Gwen skipped a few grades in high school).
Tumblr media
About Ben, he probably finished high school and he didn't want to go to university (it makes sense because in previous series he almost never attended classes).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He was able to receive his honorary doctorate degree if he finished high school. Also it's logical that Ben is 18+ age in Omniverse because he is never at home and his parents don't say anything.
Tumblr media
Compared to OG, in AF, UA and Omniverse you can see that a lot of time passes.
Well, now about Rook...
Tumblr media
Hmm… I remembered that people didn't believe me that Rook is about 3 years older than Ben (that's why I share Derrick's old answer). Like same age than Charmcaster (IDK why some people think Rook is 24+).
Everyone doubts Charmcaster's age in Ben 10 OG, but due to being in high school and having little height difference with Gwen, she should be around 14 years old. In the reboot mention "22" on his kart, which would make sense that he would be that age at the end of the series in the real chronology (without Ben and Gwen being 16 infinity)
Tumblr media
So in the cartoon "fake" chronology Rook was 19.
This mess is because the Revonnah are taller than humans (especially men). Shar and Ben are almost the same age (by logic, Shar is 1 year younger than Ben)
Tumblr media
Easy:
Rook is similar in age to Charmcaster.
Shar is the age of Ben or less
Shim is the age of Jimmy or Future Ken. (12~14)
Rook Ben and Shi are the age of Ben kiddo (10~11)
Tumblr media
This last one is more logical because Rook Ben says "I am two years older than Blonko was when he had his parting" "But to not have a name at my age? Unthinkable! They will be calling me "Old One" soon", If he mentions this it is because Rook Blonko lost his tail at an earlier age than usual (9). Shi and the others lost their tails at 10 yrs (10 is a symbolic age) in her first appearance (the production mistakenly animated her tail). So here "Rook Tales" 1 year or months has passed, Rook Ben is 11 (like Ben as a child in Omniverse), here Rook should already be 22 and Ben 19 in the real chronology. (If my memory serves me correctly, in one episode Grandpa Max mentions that Ben will have a birthday soon).
Well, so in the cartoon "fake" chronology Ben and Gwen is 16, Kevin 17 and Rook 19.
I'm doing this because many Fans agree with this, but I don't think anyone has made a thread about this with evidence. (There are many episodes and series, if I see the evidence again I'll add it here).

THE CREATION MYTH OF KILL 6 BILLION DEMONS
INTRODUCTION
I love fantasy religions. I love it when fictional humans try to understand worlds like Brandon Sanderson’s Cosmere and Tolkein’s Middle Earth through a religious lens—especially because in those books and in many others, the fantasy religions are somewhat true, and somewhat false. It’s really fun to look at a fictional universe through the eyes of a character who might not see things objectively. Religion usually plays a role in that. But, if I’m being honest, a lot of fantasy religions are just Christianity wearing a fun hat. Don’t get me wrong, I am fascinated by Chrisitianity, and I really enjoy a lot of fantasy versions of Christianity. But it’s a great special treat when a fantasy story goes the extra mile and portrays another concept of the divine. That’s one of many reasons that I love the webcomic Kill 6 Billion Demons. The webcomic’s fictional religion Atru has parallels to Taoism, Gnosticism, Advaita Vedanta, theothanatology, Biblical divine nomenclature, the list goes on. I just threw a lot of big scary words at you, but I promise, this is a beginner level essay. I’ll break everything down into bite-sized pieces. I just wanted to list out some of K6BD’s religious influences to show that they are complicated, and diverse.
This is specifically a essay about the creation narratives. K6BD is an amazing comic—later on, it tackles questions about time, free will, and optimistic nihilism, but I won’t dig into that stuff here. Those things would require their own essays. Here, I’m going to try to explain how the seven-part world came to be. More specifically, I’ll examine the stories that White Chain, Cio, Michael, and the old devil’s tale tell us; then I’ll look at fictional holy texts found in the Concordance.
I’ll also compare and contrast with a lot of real world religion and philosophy. I want to be clear that the creator Abaddon and I have never spoken. I don’t know where he got most of his inspiration. I’m not revealing any information that wasn’t already available, I’m just compiling it and offering my own thoughts. Unless I specifically quote Abaddon, assume that I’m not even talking about his inspirations. I’m drawing parallels because it’s fun, even though it probably won’t give us new insight into how the text was created.
I promise I’m not trying to convert you! I genuinely don’t want to make other people believe the religion that I believe—or any religion at all. I’m just trying to show you how understanding some real world religious and philosophical concepts can deepen your appreciation of K6BD. Obviously, there will be tons of spoilers, so go read the webcomic if you haven’t already. It’s absolutely genius.
Lastly, I want to say I will discuss suicide and murder.
Ok, let’s get started.
PART ONE: THE FIRST AND GREATEST DIVISION
Let There Be No Genesis
White Chain begins the history of the universe with the words, “Let there be no Genesis,” closely echoing the in-universe fictional Psalm I. “For indeed, there was [no Genesis]. God has always existed and has never existed.” As White Chain tells her story, we are shown the god YISUN. This figure is sometimes described with it/its or she/her pronouns, but for the sake of simplicity, I’m going to follow the example of the fictional Psalm I, and use he/him. I might call him “YISUN” or “God” with a capital G depending on the context.
YISUN was eternal, and the “undisputed master of the entire omniverse.” He predates everything else, and without him, nothing would exist.
YISUN has at least twelve bodies, probably more. Some are smiling, some look mad; some resemble insects or animals; most hold weapons; and all are different colors. The central white body has four arms. Abaddon has said that YISUN’s appearance is directly inspired by the Hindu god Vishvarupa.  Hindu gods are frequently depicted with multiple body parts, an artistic tradition that Doris Srinivasan calls “the multiplicity convention.” She explains some of the religious and artistic reasons that many Indian gods have multiple body parts in her book “Many Heads, Arms, and Eyes: Origin, Meaning, and Form of Multiplicity in Indian Art.” The tradition of Hinduism is long, and diverse, so the multiple limbs in one text can mean something very different from the multiple limbs elsewhere. Srinivasan closely examines a vast expanse of Indian history, and I don’t have time to present all her ideas. I would like to specifically focus on the interpretation that multiple limbs represent the manifestations of a singular godhead.
Srinivasan writes that “Multiple versions of a myth are facilitated by the idea that there exists multiple aspects or manifestations of a godhead.” Think of the difference between Greek and Hindu goddesses. Bruno Snell suggests “that these four women signalize the four aspects of all womanhood,” but Srinivasan qualifies his interpretation. The Olympian women “are not multiple forms of [one] Divine Woman, as is the case in Hinduism.” Artemis and Athena are different people who are both women, plural. Parvati, Sati, and Uma together are Woman, singular. Zeus, Demeter, and Poseidon are gods, plural. Shiva, Vishnu, and Krishna are God, singular. That’s not how all Hindus see things, but it is one Hindu perspective that I find especially comparable to K6BD.
Similarly, the multiple bodies are only manifestations of a single God: YISUN. All of his bodies are a single person. In Hinduism, the plurality of the divine can be seen as empowering and liberating. Multiple body parts signify that the god is a well-rounded entity. But Abaddon makes it look like a curse. He turns the artistic convention around. Using the same symbolism and metaphysics, he tells a radically different story. As White Chain says, “Being was only circular.” “YISUN had no equal… It was a wretched life, without meaning or perception. Imagine infinite stories to tell… and nobody to tell them to.” Perfection is lonely. At this point, YISUN is the only thing that exists, and that can’t be fun. All those arms and heads cannot satisfy YISUN’s need for companionship. It’s fascinating to me that when White Chain says YISUN had no one to whom it could tell its stories, Abaddon chose to illustrate multiple heads right next to each other. Even if those heads told each other stories, the speaker and the listener would still be the same person. Dissatisfaction with isolation is why YISUN created the world.
Although not all Hindus follow the school of Advaita Vedanta, in this case, I think it will be helpful to compare and contrast with Advaita. As Ram Shanker Misra writes in “The Integral Advaitism of Sri Aurobindo,” “Brahman [ is] perfect, absolute, infinite, need[s] nothing, [and] desir[es] nothing…” Brahman is full of all perfections. And to say that Brahman has some purpose in creating the world will mean that [Brahman] wants to attain through the process of creation something which it has not. And that is impossible.”
But that’s exactly why YISUN created this world. He wants to gain something that he does not have: companionship. The universe is God’s escape from himself. There was no Genesis, but there was “the first and greatest division: division of self”: “God committed holy suicide.”
2. The Divine Suicide
White Chain’s story is similar to Friedrich Nietzsche’s famous claim that “God is dead,” but Nietzsche did not mean God was a real entity that had literally died. He meant that intellectually, it was impossible to continue believing in God, and that all intellectual achievements founded on belief in Him had to be abandoned. Nietzsche’s claim is a famous example of a philosophical school of thought called death of God theology, also called “theothanatology,” which means “the study of God’s death” in Greek.
“Death” can mean a lot of different things in this context. Sometimes it’s metaphorical, sometimes it’s literal, and usually, it’s a very confusing mixture of both.
Nietzsche proposed the death of God as a social claim about humans. He’s talking about what we can believe, what we should do, and what we need to accept. God never really existed, but as religion loses followers and influence, even the idea of God has begun to “die” because it no longer has power over the real world.
“Death” can also mean God exists, but in a way radically different from what people usually mean when they say “God.” The Rabbi and philosopher Richard L. Rubenstein thought God exists as a “ground of being,” but not as a supernatural entity that made a covenant with Abraham. Rubenstein proposed the death of God as an intellectual change in what humans think the word “God” means.
And, finally, “death” can just literally mean “death.” The Protestant theologian Thomas J.J. Altizer wrote “we shall understand the death of God as an historical event: God has died in our time, in
our history, in our existence.” This isn’t a social claim about humans—it’s a metaphysical claim about God.
Death of God theologians usually mean more than one thing when they say God is dead. Nietzsche wasn’t just trying to convince Christians to become atheists; he was also trying to convince many atheists that they disbelieved in God in the wrong way. Altizer had radical thoughts about what human beings are able to believe.
White Chain means that God is dead in the literal sense. She is proposing a metaphysical belief that God, as a historical figure, chose to actually kill himself. White Chain is not rejecting or critiquing religion—she’s asserting that her religion, in which God has died, is fact.
You can see slight parallels to Nietzsche, Rubenstein, Altizer, Hegel, Zizek, and Blake in White Chain’s version of the fictional religion Atru. But there is no better comparison than the king of sad philosophers Philipp Mainlander.
Mainlander was an atheist—but not in the sense that people usually mean when they say “atheist.” Mainlander believed that there was a God at some time, but that time is now over. There isn’t a God anymore. Mainlander is pretty unique among death of God theologians because he explicitly describes God’s death as a suicide. Whittaker explains that Mainlander thought “[a]ll things have their origin in what may be called… the ‘will’ of the absolute being… to annihilate itself.” Essentially, the cause of the universe is God’s suicidal desires.
God was a “real unity,” but his death caused a “collective unity”—that’s the universe where we live now. God had been a total and undivided One, but now the universe is made of distinct parts. God cut himself apart into the pieces of the universe. God created the world by becoming it, and he became the world by dying.
Mainlander said “the knowledge that life is worthless is the flower of all human knowledge.” He thought suicide was desirable, and ultimately, he put his money where his mouth was. The biggest difference between Mainlander and White Chain is that she doesn’t seem to think ordinary people such as herself should follow God’s suicidal example. Even beyond the views of a specific character, the story of Kill 6 Billion Demons reads as an affirmation of life’s beauty and value.
But the webcomic clearly argues that making a better world is a bloody project. So it should come as no surprise that making the world itself involved bloodshed. First and foremost, the blood of God. What’s so interesting to me is that both White Chain and Mainlander equate God’s suicide to the creation of the world. Our life comes from God’s death. Creation and destruction aren’t opposites—they’re different ways of looking at the same process. At the end of Book 2, Allison destroys Mottom’s evil tree and a lot of her palace—but this destruction is also part of the creation of a more just and free world.
So, what did God’s destruction create? What came after YISUN?
3. The Duality of Un and Yis
The destruction of the total unity creates duality. I know that’s a little confusing because YISUN had many faces, but remember that behind all of those faces was one God, and only one. Not anymore. “From division was birthed duality. White Un, Lord of empty and still places, master of all that is not. Black Yis, infinite mother of the rampant flame. Master of all that is''
I cannot avoid comparing the White and Black gods to the Yin and Yang—a spinning black and white symbol usually associated with the religion Taoism. Yin and Yang represent a cosmic duality. Yin is associated with femininity, darkness, passivity, and even numbers, among other things. Yang is associated with masculinity, light, activity, and odd numbers, among other things. Mainstream Taoist philosophy asserts that the universe can be understood through duality. So, why are these pairs important? And why do things get paired together in the first place?
As is written in the foundational Taoist text the Tao Te Ching, “Being and non-being create each other. Difficult and easy support each other. Long and short define each other. High and low depend on each other. Before and after follow each other.” What’s so interesting about the pairs is they “create,” “support,” “define,” and “depend on” each other. Black can’t exist without white, and white cannot exist without black.
As the Encyclopedia of Philosophy puts it, “...yinyang is emblematic of valuational equality rooted in the unified, dynamic, and harmonized structure of the cosmos. As such, it has served as a heuristic mechanism for formulating a coherent view of the world…” Essentially, neither of these opposites are “dominant” or “truer.” Choosing one side won’t help you understand the universe because the universe is their partnership. Their equality gives “structure to the cosmos.” That structure is order, not chaos, but it is differentiated. There are two different things: Yin and Yang. They contradict each other, but at the same time, they make the universe. Yin and Yang are a productive paradox.
I’d like to return to the notion that “being and non-being create each other.” At this stage of creation in K6BD, UN and YIS could not exist without each other. Their very existence is the fact that they are not a unity. If there was only one of them, then there wouldn’t have been a division—and they are nothing more than the product of division. Just like how being and non-being create each other, the Master of All That Is and the Master of All That Is Not create each other. YISUN was characterized by his totality—he was the total sum of the omniverse, there was nothing else. After the division, Un and Yis experience otherness. The first otherness in the omniverse. It’s difficult for them to find balance—in fact, they immediately went to war for seven years. At the end of their seven-year war, Un and Yis made love for seven days.
I want to be very clear that this is not a depiction of actual Taoism. Yin and Yang are not gods with faces and minds. Notably, the Tao Te Ching asserts that yin and yang are “older than God.” so make of that what you will. But I think Taoism is thematically relevant to this era. Two opposites have to come into balance with each other. The whole universe is a duality of interconnected forces.
K6BD repeatedly emphasizes the need for community. As Allison says at the end of King of Swords, “I couldn’t have done this without any of you… We make mistakes. We learn from each other. We all still have so much to learn. Once I saw that as a weakness, now I’m certain it’s not. Someone who lives still thinking like that… struggling to do everything themselves… I can’t help but think how alone they must be.”
YISUN had to do everything all by himself, and we saw that Allison was right—isolation was a struggle, even for God. But the struggle is over, and in its place is duality. Partnership. The first community.
These are the first four parts of a fourteen-part critical essay. You can read the rest here.

I keep seeing people say Ben's character constantly regresses or that he acts like his 10 year old self post season 2 of Alien Force and that's objectively wrong lmao. The series goes over this explicitly multiple times. It explains why he acts arrogant and treats things like a joke.
I fucking hate this take lmao. He never reverted. There's a whole fucking Omniverse episode of 11 year old Gwen being freaked out about 11 year old Ben being mature because his 16 year old mind was in that body at the time.
People who say this and believe it have frankly little to no media literacy or know how teenagers work.
Ben's characterization makes perfect sense in the context of the series.
He was only that mature because he literally had no other choice and saw his grandpa die right in front of him. By the 3rd season he not only knows Max is alive and thus able to help, but he's stopped universal omnicide by the Highbreed.
So obviously once he has more of a support network he can finally relax and be less hyper vigilant. This continues into Omniverse were there's a whole fully staffed Plumber base to help out on Earth now and he's seen so much shit that basically nothing fazes him.
Like Ben LITERALLY SAYS in the Forge of Creation episode that the reason he acts arrogant and jokes is to distract himself from what if scenarios on what could happen if he fails and make sure he doesn't freeze when the going gets tough.
"Everything's not a game.
What we do is important.
If you can't see that, maybe you are just a kid." Kevin
"You think I don't know?
When it's hero time, if I mess up, somebody could die.
From what you told me, if we mess up this time, everybody could die.
....
Maybe that's too much to have in your head when you have to win.
Maybe if I pretend everything's a big joke, when the time comes, I'll be able to do what I have to do." Young Ben
"Is that why you're so arrogant all the time... because you're scared?" Gwen
"No. I'm actually oblivious." Teen Ben
People with those opinions are objectively wrong lol.
Ben doesn't revert to a 10 year old personality wise.
Multiple episodes EXPLICITLY point this out.
The reason Ben learns the same lessons again is because it's a long running kids cartoon. Obviously they're going to go over stuff like what makes a hero multiple times.
All superhero media, most media in fact, are just different flavors of morality tales in different settings.

Analyzing Dreamtale
This is just another one of my theories. Seriously, Dream has been my comfort character ever since I was in middle school and I'm in college now. I was a dumb-dumb kid back then, and I returned to watching Underverse after I saw Dream fighting and now I've been sucked back to this hellhole. Now, this isn't about Dream or Nightmare, though. This theory is about Nim and Dreamtale.
Dreamtale belongs to @jokublog ! I'm not claiming to own it in any way. It does not belong to me. Just making a theory about it. ♡
Tumblr media

I always get annoyed when people harasses creators, especially when they go, 'DrEaMtAlE iS iN uNdErTaLe So It'S aN aU'.
It's stated that Dreamtale is and is not an AU at the same time. It didn't happen in the multiverse of Undertale. The trees are in the middle of each multiverse, in a world right next to one another — which would mean that the trees are located in the center of the ommiverse? For a quick context;
Tumblr media
While the word 'ommiverse' has various meanings and interpretation, the fixed meaning would be the entirety of fiction altogether. Each book, each shows, each games have their own multiverses and all those multiverses are part of the ommiverse. For example, Undertale has many AUs so it has its own multiverse. But so does Pokemon, Harry Potter, and other works of fiction. They all have multiverses, which makes up the ommiverse. Ommiverse is the home to all multiverses. So to say that the three trees (life, feelings and mana) are located in the middle of the multiverses would be saying that these trees have existed amidst the ommiverse, delivering a balance of magic, emotions and life to each verses — Undertale included.
The other definition of would simply be an accumulation of multiverses from a single franchise or something. For example, DC. They have their animated multiverse, the dark multiverse, the main multiverse etc etc but with their very same characters just different stories and worlds.
I'm highly leaning towards the first one because Joku stated that Dreamtale is outside of Undertale in the first place. Dreamtale is not a part of Undertale nor is it an AU. It's a separate story, a seperate world with its own seperate tale.
Now, in this image of Nim, created by Joku herself, it's stated that Nim found out something terrible about the other guardians and slowly distanced herself from them before eventually cutting them off completely. In the wiki, it says that she felt unsafe around them and relocated to the Undertale multiverse altogether. They didn't originally belong there, she simply entered Undertale for refuge.
They were not from there. Maybe the world where the tree of feelings is in is just called 'Dreamtale' to make it seem like a part of the Undertale multiverse or maybe that's what it's originally called; The tale of dreams. We'll never know. But what we do know is that they're outsiders. They don't belong in Undertale whatsoever, no codes, no nothing. They occasionally break the fourth wall, too. They have no connection to this universe aside from the fact that they give emotions to maintain balance.
We all know that Dream and Nightmare aren't Sanses. They're energy balls, souls with the vessels of Sanses. They aren't humans or monsters. They're different entities altogether.
Joku made a post saying that even Dream and Nightmare believe that they're from the Undertale multiverse, but soon enough they'll know. They grew up in Undertale so they think that they're from there when originally, they aren't. The only relation they have to the game and AUs is that their vessels are in the forms of Sans but aside from that, there's nothing more. They don't have the blasters, the bones, or the eyelights. But based on the speculation that they're omniversal, I'd immediately assume that they're powerful entities. Hell, even Joku confirmed that Dream can jump from one multiverse to another cause he doesn't belong to Undertale in the first place. Dream can casually exit the game and go to another. Imagine that? Only that Nim forced him to Undertale altogether. How? We'll never know either. But the fact still stands that Nim and the apple twins are major anomalies to the Undertale multiverse. Dreamtale is and is not an AU at the same time.
Again, this is just another theory since I'm a fan of the story and have the tendency to over-analyze things. :)

Another glimpse of a different one from said original fiction:
There was a blur of motion and then a being hovered in front of her in white armor, eyes gleaming a brilliant red as the veins around them mirrored that light.
There is a reason that sorcerers are cautioned not to call up that which they cannot put down. Before I encountered the children of Urhalzan I was already a being able to throw planets with ease, and the light you see can ignite stars. I, the Last, the Eternal.
She smiled then and then she cracked her neck slightly with a noise that made all a roaring sound of silence, blood oozing from cracked eardrums that would never hear again.....and yet her voice echoed as if nothing at all had happened.
The Unmaker, the Fateful Lightning, the End of Empire, the Refining Fires, the Eye of Eternity. They all travel in a troupe, and you are fortunate the second and the fourth are not here. They would be making short work of this. But then I do not need them.
She raised her right hand, the fingers of the gauntlet pointing to the skies like small mountains.
I am the Voice of the Stars. The Music of the Spheres.
She opened her mouth and seemed to inhale and then harmonics echoed and she landed, shaking her head.
By then the clouds of magma on the sky of dark obsidian had faded and the Refining Fires had landed beside her.
I told you. Doesn't matter how obscure you think you are. Eternity is vast. Sooner or later some damn fool is going to read a book they shouldn't, recite a couplet, and then bam! Perfectly fine afternoon ruined by someone who wanted to unleash a contained god for power.
She shook her head.
Even if they got the actual gods they wanted instead of us, they wouldn't control such entities either.
Well they got me.
Verulzanzunui nodded, a clawed finger tapping against her chin.
They'll learn. Break a world or two if you have to. It might seem counterproductive but the powerful who'd need to do keep tabs on those things. We have eternity in the palms of our hands, what's a single world, or even a single planetary system?

Gwevin Beauty and the beast redraw pt 2 (pt3 work in progress)
This is probably my favorite animation kiss ever like … the stares , the slow motion before the kiss, the wind and shiny stars , the fireworks…. I loved it since forever. So OF COURSE I had to make it Gwevin sooner or later.
Had to add a little space/galactic vibes too . Just imagine this au to be about a cursed prince of a planet and add all the alien, superpowers and battle stuff in it 🤝
Hope you enjoyed !!
To the next one 👽

what do you think about rook's character in ben 10 in general?you know I never really liked that he was this serious and workaholic partner from beginning to nearly the end,in Wikipedia says he's kinda ben's other best friend too but they hardly had a memorable scence for that together maybe except 1 or 2,and also he has scenes where he mocks ben seriously which I didn't like, idk it feels like his character is so unexplored he had more potential to him since he was ben's partner replacing gwevin in OV so just wanted to know your opinion👍🏻
I've already put all of my thoughts about Rook into my fics. Namely, Separately (S2-era Rook, who would disrespect Ben's boundaries purely for his own curiosity and then feels like shit for it), In All The World... (pre-canon Rook, and how/why I think he grew to idolize Ben and become a Plumber), Cross Your Heart (and Hope to Die) (puts Rook through absolute hell to break him down into one of the rawest character studies I've ever done), and Diamonds Are Forever (post-canon fic that explores the kind of person Rook is and how Ben has changed who he wants to grow to be/how Rook defines himself without Ben around).
But I know that's a lot to read, so here are the SparkNotes:
Rook mellows out a lot by season eight. This change is incredibly noticeable if you watch two episodes back-to-back.
Ben and Rook are very close, and this is something else you can see if you watch season one and then season eight to compare.
I think Ben and Rook had plenty of memorable scenes/moments. Their fake fight in season one, Rook being pushy during Showdown and later apologizing for it, "I don't always get him, but he's cool." "The feeling is mutual.", Rook physically holding Ben back from attacking someone (twice, lol), Rook fighting Lord Transyl's mind-control to warn Ben, "I have worked with Ben long enough to know that when he foolishly charged headlong into a trap, I should have foolishly charged after him.", Ben meeting Rook's family, literally all of their interactions in The Vengers, "Ben! I made a wisecrack!", acting like proud parents after Young One's tail fell off, Rook's promotion to Magister (and their successful fist bump!!), "It has been an honor to fight at your side," (Rook using his final words to tell Ben how important their partnership has been to him and that he doesn't regret a thing just does something to me), etc. If you don't think they're as iconic as Ben and Kevin, that's fair, but they do objectively have plenty of relationship-defining moments.
Rook has scenes where he mocks Ben. In early seasons, this is a character flaw. In later seasons, this is a product of the Omniverse writers thinking it's funny when the punchline to a joke is, "Ben's an idiot." If I held it against Rook, I'd have to hold it against literally every character... So I ignore it, lol.
Here are some episodes that I think do a good job of exploring Rook's character.
S2E6: Bros In Space
S2E7: Arrested Development (not a character-heavy episode, I just think Rook is really funny in this one.)
S3E2: Tummy Trouble
S3E8: While You Were Away ("You have become a hero while you were away," just makes me grin like an idiot every time.)
S3E10: The Frogs of War: Part 2
S4E2: The Ultimate Heist (I loved the scene towards the end where Albedo called Rook out on his willful ignorance.)
S4E8: OTTO Motives
S6E1: Catfight (Another one where Rook is really funny.)
S7E2: Rook Tales (Rook's fight with Kundo is iconic as hell to me. "You taught me everything you know. But we are not in your training hall anymore.")
S8E6: The Final Countdown
S8E10: A New Dawn
Rook is not an overly complicated person. He's a solid guy who gets character development and learns to loosen/open up. He's not as nuanced as Kevin. He doesn't have the history with Ben that Gwen does. But Rook is not a bad character by any means, and his bond with Ben feels earned.
But if you still aren't impressed with Rook, you can always rewatch UAF :p
