In celebration of the show and us as a fandom, this event will host prompts and a rewatch, so we can enjoy the show once more, and to encourage creativity and new creations for its second anniversary. Starting from April 9th, the event will run across 28 days; dedicating two days to each episode and one prompt pair as listed below.

Me watching Only Friends Ep. 9:

1. For this ep, I just want Sand to run as far away as possible from Ray (although based on previous ep's preview, I know that wouldn't happen) 😔

2. I don't know, it's too unrealistic for Top to change that fast. I do think that he is just not used to losing anything, which is why he is trying hard to win Mew back. As for Mew, I guess it is also the first time that he was wrong about someone (although, I pretty much doubt that) especially when he prides himself of "knowing how to accurately read" people (see episodes 1 and 2). I still see these two people trying to prove to themselves that their sense of self is not entirely wrong.

3. I'm beginning to think that Sand is either a hopeless romantic or an effing masochist. Wtf. He already knows Ray is toxic. He KNOWS RAY WILL CONTINUE TO HURT HIM (and himself). If he has any self-respect, he will walk away.

4. <on videoing Ray making out with Sand) There's the Top I know.

5. I still don't know Atom's angle in this scene. I mean from being in a cis relationship then jumping straight to gay s*x. With Boston, of all people. Why? I don't think he is fuelled with plain ole curiosity. He practically seduced Boston (although let's face it, it doesn't take much to get Boston h*rny)

6. I think I can recognise Pisaeng's (BMF) campervan lol. Hurray, for Team Second Option! Get an effing move on, gods dammit. Well, at least Sand is aware he is a masochist lol 😅

I still don't know what Atom's deal is. It just seems so sudden that he is in "love" with Boston. Looks like Boston will do some self-reflection but why is Nick still there? I guess, the man just loves the hurt. Also, looks like Mond will play the ex, Boeing. I always thought it was gonna be Mixx.

The Winchesters Edition

So. First things first. Boy am I dizzy. This is, at this point, four years of work invested in this video series. We won't get into the nitty gritty on WHY it works out so well, as much as enjoy what it is!

334 episodes*; 13 songs; 13 processes, 13 episodes; 2 sides to the coin; the hardest beast to face is the one within; even with your helpful half djinn son or the light in the road calling you home. We're turning over all the cards and opening all the doors in the info and episode shuffles behind the cut. YT includes episode timestamps in the full movie. However, The Winchesters took its own means of reshuffling. If you view the old post, one song remained the same in both directions: 11 is 11, Reflections. It's a causal point, and has been moved to midseason, respectively, as 1x7 Reflections. Rolling back, if one starts the spiral at Mantra, 11 becomes 7, and the track plays out, reverting after 12 to the steps missed earlier, 1-4 respectively, but reverse: 4-1.

I know that sounds like wonky math, don't overthink it, just. Explaining there IS method to the madness. The simplest thing to remember is, follow the basic ideas: Generational Trauma, who the generations ARE, doors, spears, guns, blossoms, you name it. You WILL get dizzy you WILL be overwhelmed but ride it and you'll put the pieces together.

Hey all! Remember the concert @scribefindegil and I talked about performing back in August that ended up having technical difficulties for folks who tried to tune in to stream? The Starry Love ep 31, 32 thoughts

The mortal emperor is terrified and yet holding it all together: great to be here. So glad you could kidnap me to be here.

I love that Dingyun has consistently been thrown under the bus after his death. What do we blame Dingyun for? Everything that's basically Chaofeng's fault.

Look at Wudai stepping up for Qingkui! This dude has more honor than I thought. And he cries too! Aww.

What the--? Yetan just whips out her knife to cut her skin and we don't see Youqin's reaction?! Come on! I know he'll freak out!

Qingheng is stepping in when his big brother is gone. He's growing up! Good boy! And speaking of good boys, Di Lanjue shows up just in time to go on an adventure with Ziwu. More of these two please!

The two eloping couples meet up and suddenly it's an eloping party! (squeal) So cute! The girls' dad is upset and here comes Chaofeng's mom still disciplining her kid! Haha! She brought her thorny rod with her on their elopement trip?! And everyone's faces!

The Immortal couple watching all the chaos of the Void gang and the mortal emperor with these smiles on their faces. They're like: this is so embarrassing for Chaofeng; thank goodness that's not us.

Chaofeng's mama pushing him to be a better son-in-law! Even though his FIL basically hates him for his identity, he still lets him speak badly and encourages it! LOL!

Poor Yetan! She shows off her room to Youqin and all he can see is her bad past. But then he gets jealous of Wudai! How adorable!

And the Void couple being adorable! Chaofeng and Qingkui can breathe some air of relief after leaving the Void realm and immediately Chaofeng wants to think about what's next. And Qingkui has already planned their life together. As long as it includes Haichou it will be a good plan.

Please don't stop the cuteness! These two couples being together are not what I expected but now it's all I want! And then the sisters get to spend time together.

Again poor Yetan! She really did have a horrible childhood when she was hated and nearly killed multiple times. As for her father, he says he was protecting her by not doing anything. I don't want to like him, and I still don't, but I understand his reasons now. Is he a good father? Absolutely not. He did the bare minimum to protect Yetan and that means he gets a pass.

The reunion of father and daughters was beautiful. Fathers and daughters, in general, don't get enough respect in dramas because there is a lot of focus on mothers and sons. It's so nice to see this scene and get the feels.

Ahh! More father and his daughters scenes and then Chaofeng's mother looking out of her son. Adorable! Wait…wait. They're NOT taking Haichou! Noooo.

Has anyone noticed AND ADORED how often Youqin and Yetan hold hands? Just me? Oh well. I'll sit back and watch with a big smile then.

The two couples are going to live and work together?! This is my dream come true! Poor Chaofeng, he gets ganged up on by Yetan and Youqin is barely any help. Qingkui, the queen of saints, won't speak up until someone does a bad thing.

With the whole gang there (minus Haichou and Sushui) things have gotten kinda cute, kinda cringey and I kinda love it.

Yes the Beast Queen and her husband are back!! Noo...so short.

Celebrate! The Immortal couple are getting married!!

A hot spring date?! And another kiss?! These two episodes are covered in sugary sweetness. I don't want anything bad to happen to these two couples (and their friends)! Let's look forward to more cuteness and a wedding!!

I was going to do a whole bulleted, point by point Eye of the World recap, but then RL shit happened and I just don't have the brainspace/time for that anymore.

But I did just finish my WoT Book One re-read and it's been an interesting experience. And it's made me respect the hell out of the show even more.

Because there is so much heavy-handed Tolkien pastiche in EotW, which was pretty de rigeur for 90's fantasy, so much so that it definitely didn't ping on my radar back then. 90's fantasy lit, especially the mass marketed kind, was kind of like fanfic in the sense that most of the books hit the same kind of Tolkien-inspired tropes over and over again and that's kind of what the audience wanted. Like when there's only one bed and you already know what's going to happen but you still can't wait to see it happen.

But the audience, both fantasy and general, has changed since then. And that Tolkien pastiche that used to be comfortable would've been pretty boring. And it wouldn't have fit with what the book series became once Jordan flexed his own world building muscles for real. The show gave us Jordan's world from the beginning and I respect the hell out of them for that.

Even though I haven't read EotW since I was a teenager, and I'm a good 30 years out from those days, there are parts that really stuck with me. I imprinted on Nynaeve and I remembered all of her POV with clarity. I love her even more now. I have more patience for Rand's struggles and like him more now, I've been through the identity fire since then, so I can recognize and appreciate his struggles more.

I still don't love the whole man vs women gendered dynamic. And Egwene and Mat are hardly more than cyphers yet. But it's been so nice to re-visit this world with new eyes.

I know it's been said before, but I can't get over how excellently Andor captures the heavy mundanity of fascism.

It starts in a galaxy that's accustoming itself to oppression. Because people need to eat, you know? The day-to-day is hard enough, who has the energy to do more than that. They'll get along. They'll be fine.

And then it takes it's time to show that they're not fine. They're all living on a knife's edge, surviving at the whims of people who don't care about them, who don't see them as people.

But it also shows the ways that people find to fight back: the Dhani making the trek to see The Eye, the people of Ferrix banging on pipes as cops walk down the street, Nemik's manifesto and Bix's contacts.

Fascism is boring and complacency is easy. Until the cop is knocking on your door, until the military is relocating you, until the boot is on your neck. Fascism is boring until it's really, really not.
