Love how you shamelessly hate Aang—I mean this totally as a compliment by the way! I’m so tired of seeing “I ship Zutara but I LOOOOVE Aang he’s a cinnamon roll baby!!!” and “you can like Zutara and also like Aang” and “it’s the WRITING that’s bad not Aang!” takes…ugh. Please. He’s a cartoon character and I don’t like him. That isn’t a crime. He’s boring at best and an entitled borderline abusive little shit at worst. I don’t like him! It’s so refreshing to read your blog, I don’t understand this fandom’s obsession with acting like he’s a real child we have to coddle
I don't understand it either. Then again, I will go to the mat to defend some pretty controversial characters, so who am I to judge (justice for Mr. Collins!) ? I don't mind that other people like him -some of my favorite people in the fandom like him- as long as they don't come after me for not liking him.
But yeah, the defense of him boiling down to "bad writing" always felt off. To me, bad writing is when the character suddenly takes actions that seem to come out of nowhere. Aang's actions in the back half of ATLA and into the comics and LoK track. They track very well with who he was even in the first season. Yes, he got worse as the series progressed, but the seeds were always there. I guess, if you want to make an argument for it being bad writing, you could talk about how his bad traits in the first half seemed to be setting up a growth arc that was abandoned in the second half. There's an argument to be made there, but it's not an argument that Aang's worst traits were OOC for him. I am not shocked at the kind of family Aang ended up having. I'm not shocked at how Kataang the couple turned out. I'm only shocked that Bryke managed to be that honest about Aang without realizing how awful he was.

Happy Passover from the Danvers extended family!
Esme first passover with her new family got her really excited to learn everything about the holiday.
Kara decided to go the extra mile and dress as Elijah the Prophet while telling the tale of Exodus to the excited child.
Esme fell asleep halfway through the reading of the Haggada, and Kara - despite refusing to remove her fake beard - lifted it up for just a moment to give her girlfriend a little kiss.
Happy Passover!
I always loved Passover, so I decided to make this drawing extra special by using my own family's photographs and videos as reference and inspiration for all the little moments you see above😊
So for those who celebrate Passover and for those who don't, I hope you'll have a lovely day:)

Im going to be carrying around a chunk of my mother for the foreseeable future.
Before any of you get even more concerned, my mother is dead and was cremated. My aunt gave me a tiny little urn so that I can have part of her.
That sounds so bad. But also I'm gonna be freaking my friends out with it as only about 2 of them join in on my dead mom jokes.

Something something Kim and Macau kidnapped but escape, and have to go undercover as lovers to get back home because the “brothers” or “friends” cover is too suspish to tell locals when their kidnappers come looking for them amongst the people, something something Macau is starved for touch and affection and Kim was always his favorite cousin, something something angst because it’s all “fake” emotion & sentiments, something something, they get home and go their separate ways, not sure where Chay is yet tbh but after they come home there is Longing and Missing and Macau tries to go on A Date but that doesn’t exactly end well, something something happy ending? Kimchaymacau?

Seemingly every communicable illness ever is going around my community completely unchecked right now.
At work the other day, I counted 6 customers who I helped who WEREN'T sniffling, coughing, or both. Only one person covered their cough, and that person was a child. Every grown sick person I helped didn't cover at all and I had to disinfect once my counter was clear.
I am so goddamn tired of this.
