"You're so beautiful darling," He says softly, nearly in a whisper. "Ugh, I would kill to have hair like yours. And your complexion is just perfect. You probably don't even need product to stay so beautiful. How do you do it? I could just eat you up. You look delicious. I wouldn't mind taking a finger or two so we could be even closer."

Wait, what did he just say? You think, but your eyelids are growing heavy, and you don't even have the strength to keep them open, let alone speak. Is he just so soothing? No, it seems different. You're slipping away, but you weren't even tired yet.

Your blood runs cold realizing that something is wrong. You can only listen to his ramblings as he continues to brush your hair.

When you wake up, you find yourself in familiar settings. Familiar, but somehow off. It looks like Asmo's room, but everything's in a different spot. The furniture is different too. Similar, but not quite identical.

You're laying on the bed, and Asmo is playing on his phone as he sits in an armchair near the bed. You try to sit up, but you can barely move. Something's not right. I have to get away, you think.

"Ah, no moving," Asmodeus says. "You're still going to be a little weak."

"Where am I? What happened?" You ask.

But this demon, of a person, is a demon onsessed with Darling.

Once Corrupted!Alhaitham catches wind that Darling's figured out the truth, there's no need to pretend anymore. With Darling's repeated advances, a carnal and blunt solution seems to occur to him. Perhaps, he would get along better with a Corrupted!Darling. A malleable one he could control and manipulate to his heart's content without any averse consequences (to him, of course. But under Corrupted!Alhaitham's relentless experiments, Darling ends up slowly becoming corrupted as well. First, it starts slowly. Unexplained gaps start to form in Darling's memory. Darling finds themselves quicker to react to their base impulses. It's harder for them to think rationally.

One day, it starts to click for Darling. They start understanding Corrupted!Alhaitham's actions. They're horrified and conflicted. Their rational brain continues to fight and is angry and appalled, by Corrupted!Alhaitham actions. But the corrpution in their brain and all the noise Corrupted!Alhaitham has thrown into their brain via information and knowledge capsules start to overtake their rationality - to the point where Darling starts to come around on Corrupted!Alhaitham.

Darling's thoughts turn as the Corruption grows. Once Corrupted!Alhaitham realizes the Corruption has taken root and is growing in them, that's when he puts the rest of his plan into action. He puts on a facade for Darling, in their slowly corrupted state, to see him as a safe place. That he's someone Darling can go to for help regarding what their going through. He is the only one who understands Darling as their rationality slips further and further away.

And then in the end, Corrupted!Darling is just that. Corrupted. Their personality warped and twisted into a facsimilie of who they used to be. Someone who acts more on instinct then rationality, with a more flexibly ethical outlook. Someone who trusts Corrupted!Alhaitham with their life and will willingly join him in his plans. Someone who completely and utterly loves him, to the point where he no longer needs to throw on a facade anymore.

Darling is completely and utterly his. Both their mind, body, and soul.

And Corrupted!Alhaitham wouldn't have it any other way.

I had tried to come up with usernames over and over again before coming on tumblr and i felt that every serious one just didnt feel right, so i decided that my username on tumblr should to be a sort of parody of these usernames that are meant to be like cool and edgy... ig. Given that premise i came up with pine_killer as a username in that style that fit marty mcfly. Later i decided to add some numbers at the end because i thought it would be funny and tumblr didnr allow underscores so i used a hyphen instead

if you told me a year ago we'd be getting a WHOLE new Sugababes album in literally the last week of 2022 i simply would not have believed you. and yet, here we are! the deluxe edition clocks in at just over an hour, and it's a wonderful throwback to the 00s, but still manages to feel super modern too. the songs are catchy, the style is SO on-brand for the Sugababes, and it's such a fun listen! my favourite tracks are:

i don't think i need to go into much detail about why i think this is a fantastic song. it's a CLASSIC peppy breakup song, with lyrics that get straight to the point - i know what you did, and i'm over you. simple, but super effective! the chorus in this song is super infectious too - SO well written. the beat which goes with it just makes me want to dance, it's so fun! the energy is fantastic on this track and it's definitely one i'm gonna listen to on repeat.

I Lay Down starts off gently, but when the beat drops and the 808 drum kicks in it IMMEDIATELY cements itself as a heavy hitter. it feels like one of the most modern songs on the album, and its distinctiveness really works in its favour because it's SUCH a standout track! in a way, it almost feels spiritual? the lyrics speak of being surrounded by love, and finding one's place, which really adds to the feeling that this song is special.

Back to Life

this is one of a number of songs on this album that i feel are power ballads, but this is the one that i think is the most enchanting. the lyrics describe how the challenges of life can be overwhelming at times, but that having someone to fight for is enough to help you persevere. honestly, this is one of the most moving songs on the album in my opinion, and i'm so glad the deluxe edition gave us this gem!

Only You

this is the last track on the album, and WHAT a way to round it out! it's a really fun dance track, with great intermittent use of piano and 808s to create an amazing atmosphere. there's a little rhythm they repeat, just before each chorus and during the bridge, which i'm ONSESSED with! this is just SUCH a good song and - again!! - i am so glad they released the deluxe edition because this song is AMAZINGGGG

i have a huge amount of nostalgia for 00s music. my childhood was spent on artists like Beyoncé and Shakira, and anything that reminds me of music from that era is something i'm gonna love. unsurprisingly, The Lost Tapes fits that to a T. i am so glad this album was released, and i cannot WAIT to go back and listen to all these songs again!!
