Top 10, here we go... @antvnger Puppy-Mun is the first I am putting on this list first because of all the threads and ideas I've ever had on here the thread I've been doing with them (Space Heist) is the largest single run I've had so far. We actually had an entire 4 part mission and went to Knowhere. I feel like Rocket and Scott made some real progress in becoming friends and I love that. Every post they make is gold. They're nice to their anons and I generally enjoy interacting with them OOC and hijacking their random posts. They're also genuinely funny, which I feel is very important for someone portraying Scott. I already loved Ant-Man but Puppy-Mun makes me adore him even more! They also often tag me and I love that 💕

@byondtheveil Rei-Mun (Birb-Queen) is #1 OC in Rocket's world and my Rocket muse simply adores her. I always look forward to reading her replies and she's a great person to talk to and shoot the breeze OOC. We both love thrifting IRL so it's fun to just spam her DMs about my latest finds. Her character Rei is literally one of the most endearing original characters I've ever come across. She's well thought out and has connected with Rocket in a way most muses can't do. With her I have been able to explore Rocket's comfortability just popping on and off Earth and get some much deserved down time. @papetoonfox Papetoonfox was a RP partner I had many years ago. We haven't interacted much on tumblr but we got a RP going on Discord that I am fully engrossed in. Our conversations OOC often puts me in stitches and we have so much common interest it's so easy to just get lost in our own little nostalgic world of Y2K aesthetics and retrowave vibes. They're also very encouraging with me about my art and they produce some of the coolest music I've heard from anyone I know. I love their portrayal of Fox and so does my muse.

@stripesofbrooklyn They were one of the first to interact with me OOC when I started getting more active again and I feel we check in on eachother both ways pretty regularly I am confident to call them a friend. Our muses have great chemistry together and Rocket always loves hearing from them no matter what strange shenanigan they might be getting into. Rocket fully admires and trusts their Steve and is someone Rocket would go out of his way for.

@spidermanxnoir / @jeff-the-gnome-king First they get super points just for playing my favorite version of Spider-Man (Noir) and our thread which started off without any plotting has turned into one of the most epic adventures my Rocket has ever had. I think Rocket's gotten pretty attached to him as they've gone along and genuinely think he's cool. Looking forward to them retaining an ongoing friendship. Being able to tie or franchises together has been a ton of fun and I think we write beautifully together. Also they're super chill OOC and I love bugging them with my latest ideas. @the-mjolnir-owner This Thor is one of my best friends on Tumblr. They are often sending me posts in my DMs to see about Rocket and Thor and I just love their characterization. We also have a lot of fun discussions about Thor and the Guardians and I feel they capture Thor very well in their writing. Just in general they're an absolute joy.

@butwithmoreme I know our thread is fairly new/short but I literally hear Tony's voice in their writing, it's so damn good. As Rocket's mun I will hold a special place in my heart for anyone who doesn't just write him off for being a little shit. The fact they're being science bros together makes me so happy. @spideymn A big stand-out as a great writer. Sounding repetitive here, but I hear Tom Holland in their dialog and they feel very in character. A shining standout, and my muse likes him because he's a helpful kiddo. Happy to see them interacting together. @beatfreesmysoul They're my #1 music buddy right now, and I enjoy dropping into their DMs to be annoying lol. It's so great to have someone here to talk tunes with because I genuinely am a big music nerd. I love that they send me memes/tag me for that stuff too. As a Rocket RPer I often feel a bit sidelined so they make me feel included on things which I super appreciate. Our thread taking place earlier in the storyline is great too, kinda fun to undo all my muse's character development and let him have 'issues' he needs to work through and I love that we can explore or character's developing friendship.

@gctbusydying I am pretty sure they're my first Kitty Pryde and honestly, worth the wait. Interacting with them feels like we're jumping right out of the comics. I think that Kitty is canonly one of Rocket's favorite ladies and their friendship is important to me. I know I MOSTLY adhere to MCU canon but I've read the comics too (albeit a long time ago) but when it comes to Kitty I'm like -slams fist on desk- FRIENDS. I know we haven't had a TON of interaction but I hope it keeps going.

11 - first thing when you think about when you think about them: "'vosijk', he almost said. 'my name is holland vosijk.' but it didn't matter now.". there is so much emotion packed into that line and i have it written on a post-it note stuck to my laptop, so that i can suffer emotionally every time i open it. i cannot think about him without the agonies striking

23 - future headcanon: if he had survived a conjuring of light, he would have worked on improving relations between arnes and makt in order to try and undo some of the damage caused by osaron's disappearance. dying is not the only sacrifice a person can make, and the most selfless thing holland could have done at that point was keep living and keep fighting, and in doing so the magic would gradually be able to return. he makes a better diplomat than ruler, seeing as he never wanted the crown, though he would have reclaimed it until he found someone he trusted enough to take over.

24 - what do you think is a secret they have never told anyone: hm. the danes and osaron would have gotten anything they wanted out of him, and he would have told vortalis a lot of things, but i dont think he would have willingly shared the story of how vor died, both because of the vulnerability it entailed and the fact that he never stopped blaming himself. the wound is too raw even seven years later for him to be able to talk about it, and the one person he could discuss it with was dead

30 - funniest scene: giving another one of his scenes that makes me smile. when he is imprisoned beneath the soner rast, a group of guards come in to attack him on behalf of lila, and he just sits there as kell comes in and threatens to attack them all because he 'thought they wanted bloodsport'. only after they leave does holland say anything, and the bastard simply says 'my hero' and attempts to move on. i believe this was also when kell said (paraphrasing) 'you seem awfully good at making enemies. have you ever tried making friends?'. everybody knows this man is a cunt and he does nothing to dispel the rumours.

kell maresh:

18 - how do you think they were as a kid: this largely aligns with canon, but he was simultaneously quiet and cocky. he would never go out of his way to interact with people outside of the palace + tieren, but he was well aware of his intelligence and skill, and willing to flaunt it to get his way or piss people off (see: fletcher). simultaneously a sweet kid and the most infuriating type of child to try and interact with.

19 - most random ship you've seen: the two most popular kell ships are kellila and kellholland, both of which i am fond of, and the adsom fandom is not big enough for rarepairs to be common, so i have not really seen any random ships with him. that being said. i do not like kell/rhy or kell/rhy/alucard, for obvious reasons, though i have stumbled upon it on ao3 before

25 - when do you think they acted most ooc: this is a hard one, probably when he inadvertently convinced king george iii that he could fly. it is the sort of trick kell would pull on someone from grey london that he disliked, but he was fond of george, and putting someone unstable in a dangerous position, especially when he cared about them, is unlike kell. because that man does not care easily, but he cares very deeply.

28 - most unnecessary thing they ever did: discounting the whole 'kay' thing in threads, because i have only read it once and do not have access to the book right now to elaborate accurately, throwing holland's body into black london. logically, i understand it. emotionally, it was uncalled for, and if he hadn't done that, osaron never would have been set free, and he wouldn't have suffered the issues with his magic post-acol. he said the man had suffered enough and then sent his mutilated body to faux-hell. holland did not deserve that.

3. What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)?

I think it was my first fic that I was actually the most proud of. It was really kind of a shock to me that people even liked it, and I got really excited when the community accepted me.

19. What’s one pairing you want to explore next year?

Richard x Henry is something I'd thought about writing something for, but hadn't got into doing to. There's a lot of potential conflict I could do with the pairing that I hope to do soon. Another I hope to write for is Julian x Driver.

28. Favorite work you wrote this year?

I'm stuck between my first Julian fic and the angst fic I wrote for Henry. I'd wanted Turpentine to be written differently from the other things I wrote, and tried to be more descriptive with it. I really love writing angst, and Henry is a perfect character for it.

On the other hand, writing for Julian was difficult. He's a deep character, and I was worried about him seeming too OOC. In order to fix that, I kept trying writing from his perspective, and it stuck. Either way, I needed to fuck that traumatized man and also make sure everyone else knew. I felt like I'd achieved something when it was posted, and really, really loved hearing the reception. Looking back on it, Drown feels a little more like a character study of sorts, and I like that about it.

A close third favorite is the threesome fic I wrote for Holland and Healy. I don't have an excuse for this one, it's just porn and I want Jackson and Holland carnally.

On Friday night Ocean Crest Apartments caught fire, having started in a vacant apartment on the 10th floor. What was originally thought to have been an accident though was quickly discovered to be an act of arson.

Ten minutes after the fire in Ocean Crest began, town hall was raided and set on fire from within. Aurora Bay's mayor, Raymond Ellis, was found tied to a chair. He was rushed to the Emergency Medical Center but due to his severe burns and smoke inhalation, he did not survive.

It is evident that there were multiple people involved in this, though no one has been found guilty at this time.

Detective Diego Martinez is leading the investigation, so there is no doubt in anyone's mind that there will be an end to this soon.

Sadly, though, not everyone made it out of the Ocean Crest. The apartment fire took the lives of three residents from extensive burn injuries and smoke inhalation, and the town hall's fire took the lives of two.

While Ocean Crest is still standing, there is quite a lot of damage done to the interior. The fire damaged most of the top floors rather than those below, but those who live in Ocean Crest must find places to stay during renovations, which will take approximately one month. Thankfully since school is out for the summer, the shelters will stay in place in the gymnasiums in our Elementary and High School, and the Seascape Hotel will offer discounted rates for those affected by the fire. Just like we did during the storm our town saw a few months ago, we will take care of our residents to the absolute best of our ability.

While it is now known that the Mayor was stealing money from the town, the fact that the fires are linked to that is still speculation at this time.

People will have heard about masked figures that were spotted fleeing the scenes of both crimes that night, so there will definitely be talk of that.

The suspects are listed above, so feel free to have characters completely believe they are guilty or totally innocent. (but of course, none of the suspects above are guilty, as the culprits are both NPCs, but it just adds to the drama!)

What people will start to realize is that the descriptions of the masked figures seen leaving the scenes will not match the descriptions of any of the names listed above, so with that, along with other evidence that will come out slowly, the suspects above will be ruled out.

We've asked the mun of Diego Martinez if they would like to write a statement for him to share, so that will be posted along with more information about the event as the mystery starts to unfold!

If you have police officers or firefighters who would like to make statements, please message the main and we can plot it out!

As stated above, those who are living in Ocean Crest will need to find places to stay until renovations are done. Feel free to plot out temporary-roommates or anything like that! anyone without a person to stay with can stay in either of the school gyms, or can rent out a room at the hotel or b&b

So! The mystery has yet to be sovled! We wanted to give time for characters to speculate about what is going on and who is behind it! We love the IC drama and there's just so much that can happen with this!

Admin notes will come out every few days with more information on what has happened and what's going on. We'll also keep our muns who have characters heavily involved in the case in the loop!

Hiccup headcanon that’s already sorta canon:

He’s really good at archery. Like really good. Like can-hit-a-bullseye-while-flying-on-the-back-of-one-of-the-fastest-dragons-known-to-man good. Well, maybe not a full speed, but you get the point. When he was designing his shield, a built-in bow/catapult was the #1 thing he wanted it to have because carrying an entire bow around every mission along with the shield would be too much of a pain. He discovered this talent when he was little, but he was never that proud of it because it wasn’t a big heavy weapon so he thought it wouldn’t impress people much because his strength was his biggest weakness at that point. After he trained the dragons, he realized exact how good he was (back to the can-hit-a-bullseye-while-flying-on-the-back-of-one-of-the-fastest-dragons-known-to-man thing again). He doesn’t use this talent that much on missions because, well, he’s got a flying war machine.

I hate how Httyd 3 is just like bad fanfiction. Everything is ooc where do I even start? Toothless playing stupid games with grimmel when it would’ve taken one shot to annihilate the old man. Toothless not absolutely destroying the light fury the second she shot at Hiccup. The dragon riders just letting the mind-controlled deathgrippers get crushed and electrocuted when all they had to do is take the tube off of them and bam new dragons on their side. Why exactly is Berk overpopulated??? What happened to dragon island??? What happened to all the other islands Hiccup has on his map??? What happened to the giant mountain of empty space that they just aren’t using??? You’re telling me not ONE of those places can house the dragons??? Where exactly are their allies? I get that they weren’t there in the second movie because rtte didn’t exist yet but why not now? The third movie was supposed to be more for the ppl who have been in this fandom for years so why not give them their allies from the series? I’m just mad, this wasn’t what we wanted nor what we deserved.

I’ve always loved the foreshadowing in Httyd 1 in that scene when the terrible terrors were trying to steal fish from Toothless so he shoots a little fireball in its mouth and it lit the gas inside of him (or however that works idk dragon biology) and Hiccup said “not so fireproof on the inside, huh?” and then at the end of the movie in the battle with the Red Death instead of trying to hit it on the outside (because he knew that wouldn’t work) he shot it on the inside only this time it’s big dragon so big explosion. I just think that highlights how observant and resourceful Hiccup is because that was one moment on a random day that most of us would’ve forgotten and he remembered it while fighting the biggest dragon he’s ever seen in his life and used it. Hiccup is so cool.

Andrea was born at Seattle Grace on a dark October night, with the lights flickering throughout the building - something that’s prompted a lifetime worth of jokes about how her birth was a dark omen, jokes that she’s leaned into and had no shortage of fun with.  Her looks, she tells people, come from Maya and her personality comes from Carina - the second part not being a surprise, considering that for a period in childhood she was all but selectively mute with anyone except for Carina.As she got older she found herself drawn to physical pursuits in a different way than her mother had been.  Rather than running Andrea embraced combat sports, eventually parlaying that love into a career teaching people how to look out for themselves.  When she wasn’t on the mat she took up a series of hobbies that finally settled on archery; never to the point of doing it professionally but finding it something relaxing to do in her spare time.At 21 she was the passenger in a car that careened across a Seattle highway and into a guardrail, flipping end over end and shattering several bones.  During a long recovery period in which she couldn’t perform her regular job, she found one at a sporting goods store where her experience with archery helped land her a sales position.  Andrea likes to pretend that she’s fully recovered, especially when either of her mothers are around, but the truth is even two years later she still doesn’t feel healed.

in terms of the spider-men/women/pigs, i don’t really have a favourite. however, i do have a LEAST favourite, and that is the MCU Peter Parker portrayed by Tom Holland.

The integrity of Spider-Man comes from that fact that he is a working-class hero, fights for the little guy, and his origin story.

and all that was destroyed once the MCU got involved.

why did they not use his origin story? does oscorp exist? harry osborn?? what?? who tf is ned? why does he have powers? why does this movie suck so much? Why are there zero stakes?

-on the ‘who tf is ned’ point, to clarify, i know who he is. ned leeds, the abusive husband of betty brant. then they make this OOC Ned date this OOC Betty. Huh?

where did ben go? why is stark here? why does he like stark? why didn’t he make his own suit?

the writers obviously noticed the problem, because in nwh, they rapidly back-pedaled to him being poor, making his own suits, and not having a billionaire on speed-dial to bail him out of his problems despite the billionaire still being a manipulative jackass and treating him like shit, while representing everything he stands against.

also, i did NOT like the idea of ‘mj’ being a collective spider-man gf term and just changing up the name. zendaya could’ve been mary-jane watson. michelle jones just...

i don’t even care about the fact she’s not a comic character - it’s just the fact they made her mj instead? when mary-jane is mj? idk i just didn’t like that. there are SO many comic characters he could’ve fallen in love with. it didn’t need to be this oc mj. i know people hate sam raimi mj, but she was still cool with sexist writing. comic mary-jane is such a badass. why did they not replicate that? why not ask zendaya to play original mary-jane? ‘cus she’s not white? that shit ain’t a ‘homage’ to the og mj, it’s just awful.

irondad as a concept needs to die already. please. im so done. peter is manipulated and ignored - CONSTANTLY - by Tony. that’s not acting like a father, it’s acting like a jackass. and he HAS  parental figure - aunt May. and he had a father figure - uncle Ben. irondad is creepy and reeks of grooming.

plus, they stole a bunch of concepts (for nwh too, but im not specifically talking about that) from miles morales and itsv. they copied the spider-men meeting each other, and copied miles’ personality for mcu peter. and somehow, miles is STILL more likeable. i miss the days when you could scroll through the peter parker tag without seeing tom holland and r*bert d*wney jr.

but also, literally every other spider-man would’ve been team cap. plus, andrew also said so. they’re working-class heroes. to argue against that is to be wrong. i don’t blame tom!peter for being manipulated and blackmailed. i blame the writers for being assholes, and most importantly, robert downey jr for his 15 million dollar profit off of 8 minutes of mediocre (at best) acting. -(also, saying - he’s such a good actor, he’s tony in real life! - literally makes him a bad actor with no range. someone reviewed dolittle, saying that it was so bad that it seemed like rdj was trying to sabotage his own movie. and i agree.) peter was manipulated and misinformed into being team tony. there is no variation of spider-man that would EVER be team iron-man. unless they’re fckign crazy.

also, tom holland said that if peter parker could bring anyone back from the dead, it would be tony st*rk. no btich.

I'm happy to criticise canon when the writing is crap, but the fan clubs are honestly one of the best parts of CC and they're really amazingly good worldbuilding and writing.

But hey hey AM, isn’t it weird that Sephiroth et al have fan clubs in-universe?

Well, no not at all weird. It's very subtle so I think most people miss this, but it's clearly established that these are Shinra propaganda mediums. Post-Nibelheim, Zack’s fan club disbands "due to financial reasons." This happens irrespective of how many people you manage to get into the fanclub during the course of the game, btw.

Yup, Shinra just pulled the money on them because promoting an ex-SOLDIER is obviously of no political benefit to them.

There's also, of course, the fact that Hojo - who let us not forget is a member of the Shinra board - literally runs Sephiroth's fan club. Hojo is benign, right? Hojo would never lie to you within the format of a Shinra propaganda newsletter, would he?

Apparently a lot of people in the fandom think precisely that with no sarcasm, as I’ve seen what Hojo posts to the Silver Elite repeated ad nauseum in the fandom with absolutely no critical interogation of it whatsover.

Like, the thing about Sephiroth’s hair care routine. Hojo apparently wants us to believe that Sephiroth - well, look, I’ll just quote the entire damn thing.

“Dear members of the Silver Elite: In this update, we present another piece of Sephiroth trivia—the secrets to his beautiful long hair. The hair products he uses are of the highest grade, made and supplied by the Shinra Company. He seems to use one whole bottle of both shampoo and conditioner every time he washes his hair. They are scented with thirteen kinds of perfumes, including Rose and Vanilla. Apparently, the scent in the air after Sephiroth tosses his hair changes daily!”

Are you also thinking, like me, that the only thing this is missing is a beach at sunset and easy listening music?

This isn’t reality. This is an advertisement. A commercial. Product placement.

Would it surprise you if Hojo and the Science department had formulated “the highest grade hair products made and supplied by the Shinra company”? Would it surprise you if they had a financial stake or political arrangement with the arm of the company which manufactures and retails it? It wouldn’t surprise me. That is exactly how this would work.

Wanna have hair like Sephiroth? Then buy our damn shampoos and conditioners. One of each a week? Hell no, buy one for each day.

But wait, there is more!

This makes me laugh it’s so ludicrous. It has the smell of bull drifting off it from ten feet away.

There’s a lot wrong here. First, how the hell does Hojo know all this, even assuming it’s true? That this regularly happened, in this level of detail, and Sephiroth always won?

But the physics of not just chucking swords over people’s heads, but literally a sword the length and quality of masamune about regularly, is utterly crazy. Does this even happen in anime?

We’re in the realms of storytelling here. Hojo canonically despises Hollander and his “freak show” (I think that’s the terminology he uses.) So yeah, of course he’s going to spin a tale of Sephiroth’s brilliance, using Sephiroth’s iconic sword, and his mastery over those “freaks”, and their general (And particularly for Genesis, highly OOC) submissiveness in the face of his sheer damn awesomeness.

And are the Silver Elite fans going to object to any of this? Hell no they’re not!

But this isn’t just Hojo and Shinra manipulating the in-universe public and marketising SOLDIER, this is - and this is where the great writing comes in - them manipulating you.

Yes, you. The person reading this. You want to know more about Sephiroth, right? About his likes and dislikes?

Well, thankfully Chairwoman H is here to provide for your needs. And provide Hojo has to the fandom, which as I said at the start, is often all too happy to take Hojo’s complete assurances on these subjects.

I’m honestly astounded at the level of craft involved from whoever actually thought up and wrote the fanclub stuff from crisis core. The fanclubs aren’t just a commentary on fan/idol culture and how easily it could be manipulated and subverted Shinra, they’re setting up the player and the fanbase itself to be lured in by them.

Two 30+ F Looking for an Andrew Spider-Man for JCINK Forum

  Hello hello! Thanks for taking a look at our buddy/character request. The short and sweet of the story is that we’re two 30+ RP loving gals who happen to play Tom Holland (Ruby) and Tobey Maguire (me) Spider-Mans and we’re looking for an Andrew Garfield Spidey to complete our trio on the panfandom JCINK site we run called, Between the Lines.

  While I'm sure you can tell that we LOOOOVE No Way Home, we don’t require that you pull him from it. Tobey Peter comes from directly after that movie, but our Tom Holland Spidey comes from around Endgame. He has no idea what awaits him. Muhahaha!

  We're currently working our two Spider-Mans into the same city with a bit of Eddie Brock and Vee causing chaos in the middle. Tom Peter maaaaay currently be playing host to a certain alien made of black goo while Tobey Peter is reluctantly teaming up with the symbioteless Eddie to help his younger self and he could really use Peter Three's help.

  As long as he's still his Amazing Spider-Man self, we’re pretty flexible on whether your Spidey knows about the other Spideys or if you want to add a bit of comic/previous iterations for flavor (for example, my Tobey Spidey has a begrudging friendship/hinted at relationship with his universe’s Deadpool, he’s worked briefly with the X-Men), etc.

  Ruby also has a cinnamon bun of a murderer with Andrew’s face (FCs can be reused, yay multiverse!) and we’d love to see some wonderful chaos where people mistake Peter for Angel and freak out… because glorious IC drama. This totally isn’t required, though and definitely up to you on how you wanna roll.

  With that said, there are a few things we do want, both from the character and a writing partner in general.

  The Character:

Andrew Garfield as the FC (naturally)

Mid 20’s to mid 30’s

Near the end of his dark place after Gwen’s death, or through it.

Still his wonderful, quirky nerd of a self.

  You as the writer:

We’re pretty much always throwing ideas (and some IC chat) back and forth to test out headcanon babies. We’re looking for a third buddy to gush, plot, and write with. While we don’t need constant communication, we definitely want daily chats at minimum. 

Basically, we’re friends and we chat and support each other even when one of us can’t post for whatever reason. We’re looking for you to be the same.

Rubes and I can be fairly speedy, but flexible posters. Sometimes we post multiple 200+ word posts a day. Other times we might go a week between posts. The board itself has no post per month count, but someone who posts less than once a week on a regular basis or just disappears off the face of the Earth with no warning when a real life moment hits isn’t going to work for us. We need activity IC or OOC to keep our muses flowing. 

We consider ourselves fairly good writers with a decent grasp of grammar and creative writing (show don’t tell, etc). Ideally, you’d be the same. To clarify on this point, we don’t need you to be perfect. We definitely aren't. But we do love to paint a picture.

We tend to write anywhere from 100 to 500+ words depending on our muses and would like the same in return.

We’re both over 30 and the board is 18+ for players. We're looking for a mature writing buddy regardless of the rating of the content we choose to create. With that said, we’re not looking to ship the Peters. Our Tom Holland Peter is 15 and this would be purely a platonic/mentor/brother style relationship. 

Additionally, we're both admins on BtL and looking to have this plot (and others) on our site. We’re more than happy to make other characters for each other, but aren't willing to join another site or private rp at this time.
