just a general scene and vague character breakdown/analysis!

i first of all want to admire the perfect representation of best friends to enemies with blitz & fizz because ugh.

And like Blitz tells everyone this but the way it's so malicious here. Just the perfect simple dig and Fizz's little shit eating grin because it delivered how he knew it would sdfkjsdkf. Shoves Blitz to the side because really that's all he cares to say. Fuck you and what you did to me, bye bye <3 Fizz is so for talking shit and dipping (House of Asmodeus) I love how messy it is but also shows how he really doesn't hold malice for Blitz otherwise. Obviously we see this front and center later in the episode once they start reconnecting, but I like the subtlety and how he's so willing to snap at Blitz despite his usual anxiety with confrontation.

Blitz also knowing exactly what to say to really piss Fizz off once things escalate <3

Idk I just love how indicative this whole interaction is for their characters but especially Fizz, it's a perfect build-up for him. Fizz has major imposter syndrome with dual layers because of general haters but especially because of Mammon and Asmodeus. Not on any fault of Ozzie's,, we just see Fizz obviously thinks he isn't fully deserving of their relationship/his situation and the healthy dynamics of it and so do most major news outlets apparently askjfsk.

It'll be really interesting to see how his character develops in future episodes because I feel like a lot of what I've rambled about here has come to a resolution after 2 Minutes Notice in the musical special lmao. I really like how here when he goes to compose himself, this is how he does it.

Makes me wonder how many times him and Ozzie have had the self-worth and imposter syndrome conversation before it finally stuck in the Mammon Musical Special. I just love their relationship and how they compliment one another,, and how it projects into Fizz's other relationships because they're healthy for one another. Love my OTP love Blitz & especially love Fizzie. Obviously.

it takes a really long time for you two to get together. really really long time. the vast majority of the time spent was full of doubt and insecurities. he questioned—is this really what you want? you questioned yourself—is this really what he wants?

the utter mismatch of your lives were not lost on you. it took a few years to get your shit together and finally admit it to yourselves that regardless of your doubts, you wanted each other.

your schedules were chaotic as it is and you didn’t want to let each other down; neither of you would back down, always butting heads about making sure the other wouldn’t have to compromise their life just to be with the other.

even after you got together, there was still a lot of guilt on your end about how long it took; he was always the one who wanted to push the boundary, finally make it so he was yours, but you objected out of fear.

tbh it was the opposite of commitment issues—you two were so committed to each other and didn’t want to let go, it was just the whole label part.

hey there traveler! 🌠 I said that? Oops, might have thought that one out-loud. Silly me. 😶 Well, we’re here now so we might as well drive this one home. 'Some things are deeper than skin' was a shallow take on the situation for the trio, imo. It felt like a sticker placed on top of a damaged car. Some things are definitely deeper than skin. So are Rogue's feelings for Erik. So is what her time with him inspired in her. For someone who was a terrorist, who presented drastic solutions to the world, not once did he try to push that onto Rogue. On the contrary, it was made clear that, in the time they spent together in TAS, he taught her to see her powers not as a curse but as an essential part of who she is. He spoke to her about what it really means to embrace her identity, about building a future that makes her feel proud of who she is, about her powers creating a sense of belonging instead of discomfort, shame, and alienation. His presence in her life taught her not to fear who she is, not to put limits on what she can do, it taught her to be a part of the world she wants to see herself living in. THAT is why she fell in love with him. That is the Erik that Rogue loves. The whole 'touch' only came in later. We already see her falling in love with him before they even considered the possibility of touching. I love Gambit with all my heart, but in that scene he didn't consider a single thing of what Rogue had to say about why she wanted to be part of Genosha's future. He literally went ahead and did the opposite of what Erik had done - he made Rogue revert into herself and feel the pain of her inability to touch for the sole purpose of romantic and sexual gain. That line was ultimately used to show that Remy was in the right, to frame him as the one that's been hurt, with close to no consideration for Rogue and what she wanted from life. He says 'some things are deeper than skin' and it feels off coming from him, someone who has the privilege of sharing a connection based on touch with others. It makes Remy come across as not listening to what's being said. And I know his words in that interaction can be read as romantic in the sense of 'we can overcome anything'. It's a valid interpretation, but it doesn't work for me. I'd rather two partners try and understand each other and listen to each other than dismiss it with a 'we'll find a way'. Especially when one of them is deeply affected by it. It just isn't my jam. So having Rogue echo the 'some things are deeper than skin' fell flat because it only addressed part of the reason why her and Erik shared something. I think there is love in Rogue for both men and, unlike Magneto, Gambit is just not willing to accept it. It has to be him and only him. All this when he's had a lifetime prior to Rogue of experiencing intimacy, touch and relationships and understanding what he wants and what he values. In this instance it just feels like he's indirectly manipulating Rogue's emotions, making her sink into guilt and self-doubt (very important to note here that he's not doing it on purpose, but as an instinctive reaction to his own emotions - because this speaks both of his qualities and his flaws). So when Rogue says ‘Remy was right, some things are deeper than skin’ I think that is her guilt and insecurity talking.

I grew up with ROMY as my OTP but then, in time, that flame died and my view of the ship shifted. Part of the reason is because I started seeing a pattern in their relationship where often times Rogue would end up being the one pulled down, having to accommodate, accept and even apologize for things. And I was just not vibing with it anymore.

Lucien

YESSSS LUCIEN THE KING LET ME RAMBLE ABOUT HIMMMM DISCLAIMER I DID NOT FINISH READING THE SERIES SO!!

How I feel about this character

Lucien is the real star of the show. I think he was written so strongly in the first book that even though I knew Tamlin was the main love interest, a part of me hoped that the book would swerve to Lucien. I hadn't read any spoilers, but I knew this book was HIGHLY recommended, so I expected something exceptionally good like... polyamory? Did that finally take the world by storm and were the girlies losing their shit over not one, but two book husbands? I was wrong, oops.

I think he has the most depth, all things considered, and it's a shame that SJM decided to cut Lucien down in favour of her favourites. As a writer, I believe that there will always be a character who steals the show unexpectedly, and when that happens, it should be nurtured, not destroyed.

He's definitely one of those characters who deserves the spotlight and can turn a story on its head if she just followed the muse.

All the people I ship romantically with this character

For Lucien, I look at his ships in different ways.

In canon, I think that Lucien and Feyre in the first book could've done amazing things. I DNF'd at ACOWAR so I have no business in the ship wars. I did write one Lucien x Elain fic, but that's mostly because I liked the prompt. I don't mind the ship, but I don't actively participate in Elucien things otherwise.

In my own fanfiction, I don't have Lucien shipped with anyone. The nature of the story doesn't leave room for Lucien to have a romance yet, and I tend to let these things happen organically than plan them.

In the Twitter AU, I do joke around with Tamcien or an OT3 with Tamlin, Lucien and Andras.

Lastly, I do have some oneshots planned for Cassian week and DO NOT ASK ME WHY my brain went this way, but Lucien x Cassian is on the list. Again, I don't really follow canon, so it's my himbo Cassian with Lucien. It'll be soft, loving things, which he deserves.

I'm generally open-minded to any ship, tbh. Someone just has to point me in the right direction.

My non-romantic OTP for this character

It has to be Tamlin and Andras. I dedicated the latter third of my fic to establishing their dynamic, and I really believe that the three of them balance each other out in a healthy way. Losing Andras upset that balance, and now everything is out of whack. I also had Andras w/ some Winter blood in him, so it was a nice balance between the fire of Autumn, the bloom of Spring and the cool winter (except Andras was not cold at all!).

My unpopular opinion about this character

Lucien's characterizations suffers at the hands of narrative that keeps putting him at the mercy of the 'main characters'. It's very possible to have charming and charismatic side characters, but there seems to be an inherent insecurity in the writing itself whenever another character other than the main couples starts to shine. I'm not faulting any of the other characters, I just really feel like after the first book, SJM seems to be forcing things rather than letting the story unfold organically. Not sure if this opinion is unpopular at all!

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

This may still happen, but I wish that we would have adventured with him when he disappeared for most of the narrative in ACOWAR. Where did he go? What did he do? How did he feel when he was apart from his mate? So much has happened to Lucien at that point, and he's such a clever character, I would love to hear more of his voice/see more of him. Not sure if SJM can deliver!

Nobody gives the Hyugas shit for their freaky eyes that I remember. Real-life bias showing through so hard the author cannot concieve of a fantasy world free of fatphobia despite giving a solid reason for it to not be a thing at least for these specific people like come oooonnn that was SUCH A-

I love how brave he is in so many different ways. He can charge at a massive robot to save his sister, he learns to accept himself and stand up for himself and what he believes in and he's always there for his friends and family no matter what.

least favorite thing about them:

He does tend to be a bit of a know-it-all sometimes.

I'm gonna say his whole arc. I honestly didn't expect it to go the way it did and it was really interesting! Him going from being a child trying to be an adult and having illusions of grandeur to being an actual kid that wants to find his dad and learn about himself was just... chef's kiss! Close second is his humor.

least favorite thing about them:

(Oops, forgot this one for a moment) Probably the fact that he gets way over his head and ends up hurting or putting others in danger. I know that and the fact he's learning to get better than this are core parts of his character and I like that he learns to be better, but still. Especially in Sense and Insensitivity.

First, even though the ao3 and tumblr tags are currently occupied by me (oops) this ship was already there when the show was on air. Fandom-founding fics, A Scandalous Friendship by shiny_starlight and The Witch's Quickening by ymaoh date back to 2010 and 2012 respectively. In the early days, there were Morgana/Mordred works on Livejournal; when the trailers for S5 were released, some fans on LJ were making theories that an adult Mordred was going to be Morgana's partner if you know what I mean (It made sense, didn't it?)

I started shipping (being creative about them) Morgana and Mordred between 2021 and 2022 when I returned to the Merlin fandom after a decade of absence, but even when I was watching the show for the first time, I felt some kind of subtext and tension between them. (I criticize their S5 arcs but that's another matter). Mordana or Mormor remain my second main otp along with Armor(Morgana/Arthur) and this weird angsty rarepair has a strangely strong hold on me :}

I see that Arthur is like Morgana's past, he is what's painfully left behind, represents everything she stands against; whereas Mordred is the future where the Old Religion reigns again, her own version of the golden age, magic with a capital "M", (what Merlin might have been if he wasn't a coward), he is what Morgana met when she realised that she was magical and found again in the darkest moments of her life. Despite the fact that Mordred betrayed her (oh, this angst!) for Morgana he remains a glimpse of light to her darkness, and the only human being she is still able to love. There was a comment by Katie McGrath somewhere that Mordred was the only one Morgana considered her equal. If the redemption and the golden age arcs happened, I believe they would have played a significant role in healing each other (Mordred needed healing too).

I am so fascinated that Morgana forgave him for his betrayals, something she refused to give Merlin, Arthur, Gwen and her Father; and that they felt a bond at first sight(The contrast between the bond of true love and what the life has made of it). The Dragon, prophesying, put their joint destiny on the same scale level as the destiny of Merlin and Arthur (where are my Merthur vs Mordana fics?) Like Arthur and Merlin, they were predicted to become great together.

Mordred was so agonizingly conflicted about who to choose, Arthur or Morgana, and although he loved more the Morgana from the past whose spirit could be seen in her when she was with him only, in the end he realised that it has always been her, that she was right. After he has betrayed and sold everything and everyone, she was the only constant thing. Plus, since Kara as a character is basically a younger Morgana, he definitely has a type for a rebel woman that tears his heart in two :} (Morgana Le Fay is known as the most beautiful and enchanting woman of the legends, should I explain more a case of attraction between a young man with a bitter past and a brokenhearted mature woman like her? Should I explain the magnetism of darkness?)

For Morgana Mordred is a return to "the love she once had" (Mordred's best lines were uttered about Morgana), for Mordred she is a return to his druidic roots, to his magical heart, to the dreams and longing he had about her after they had been separated so cruelly. They both craved for love and peace deep down but were deprived of it and hurt by other people and each other.

Usually, I ship them in S5 with a ten-year age gap; in their evil self; I headcanon Mordred as 20-22yo and Morgana as 30-32. But I also wrote (and will write more, I hope) an AU where they were the same age and good and Mordred was already adult in S2; I tried to reconstruct his old none traumatised self in an adult form. (There's also a possibility of a forbidden love AU between a knight with a dark past and a magical princess who had seen him killing in her prophetic visions. I actually have many Mormor AU ideas, including Arthurian ones; strange for the characters that have so little screen time together)

Morgana and Mordred's aesthetic is a top tier for me. Triskelions, dark woods, abandoned castles, blood and fire, dusk and sunset, harshness of winter and gentleness of spring. A witch and a forsaken knight, a seer and a druid, a villainess and a traitor, they can stab each other and then kiss as if nothing has happened, a dark queen and a traitor who wanted to use her but then fell in love, the outcasts, depressed introvert x depressed introvert. Isn't the villainous darkhaired violent duo in black cloaks with revolutionary and vengeance agenda, with ancient crystals and magical swords beautiful? They are the embodiment of the Old Ways. I am also fond of Mordana and Aithusa background interactions.

Their dynamic is and could have been so complex and interesting for me; if the reboot ever happens, I want them to make Mordana at least semi canon, adult Mordred in S1 and/or him being really bad and working with Morgana.

I mean I love those anime series and my fav otps are from those series, but what do you think? Okay, off bat, I'll say that "queerbaiting" is a lose term to me. People use it so much that most of the time I feel like they say it just to say it. (Not directed at you, Anon.)

And I actually never watched Jeweler Richard. I've heard of it, but I didn't watch it... because I forgot about it. I also, never watched all of Free!

Now to answer the first bit... I'm leaning towards "no" here.

Queerbaiting to me is if the promise of some queer rep happening is marketed just to draw in the audience and then the people who made said show switches it up at the end like "oops sorry, actually these characters are totally straight and they're dating people of the opposite sex" and erase all that rep or just never touched on it.

Yuri On Ice, I wouldn't consider it queerbaiting because we get some same-sex romance. It happened. Even if the gay romance in there was used in marketing, it still happened. Sure, it did lure in the audience, but promises were not broken. Yuri and Viktor are a thing.

Same for SK8, I don't consider it queerbaiting either.

BONES never promised us that Reki and Langa were going to be a thing by the end of season 1. We also gotta remember that SK8 isn't a strictly romance. It's a SPORTS anime just like YOI. So the show focused more on skateboarding and the purpose of it for the characters than actual romance because it's not necessary.

It's why I really disliked how some people treated the ending as if it was the worse thing in the world. Maybe it's just me, but I didn't get mad at it because I just wanted my boys happy and skating together again.

Just because Reki and Langa didn't kiss, it didn't mean that we were queerbaited. They weren't promised to be a couple. Surely implied, maybe yeah, but explicitly promised? No.

Also, just because a couple doesn't kiss at the end doesn't mean they're not canon. A ship doesn't have to kiss to be canon!

Kida and Milo didn't kiss at the end of Atlantis: the Lost Empire, but guess what? People were aware they're a couple by the end of it. They held hands and that was it.

Kissing isn't the only romantic gesture. There's hugging, cuddling, holding hands, words and even jumping in front of someone to protect them.

And just like how all that can be romantic, it also can be platonic, too. It depends on the context of how that action or those words are being used to show romance or just platonic feelings.

We really don't know if a relationship is a canon romantic one unless it's confirmed.

Back to SK8, at best, the relationship between Reki and Langa is an explicit close one. They trust each other, they want to skate together, they're comfortable around each other, they are friends.

And with a season 2 apparently coming, Reki and Langa may just happen. It was probably built up the way it was for a chance to make it canon, just in case they could do a second season. But just in case they couldn't, they ended it on a safe note, let the audience interpret how Reki and Langa feel about each other but made it clear that they are indeed close.

Now for the second part!

I think those animes have the largest shipping fandoms over BL series because they are some of the most popular animes. A lot of romantic series slide over the radar because series like BNHA and Naruto have a wider reach. There's games, cons where the VAs show up, movies, collabs, etc. They're also the "less risky" series.

People wouldn't clutch their pearls if someone says "Oh this anime is about superheroes" or "this anime is about ninjas".

However, if you say "Oh, this is about a romance between two boys", you're probably going to get someone homophobic.

I also figure because even without gender or sexuality involved, people don't care for an actual romance anime. With a romance, it's like... because it is a romance you know who is going to be with who. You can be happy with the choices, but maybe the thrill isn't there. You know the clichés and whatnot. The characters are the same characters you see in any romance.

However, let's say with BNHA. There's a thrill to shipping... I'll take DabiHawks off the shelf for this. There's a thrill because DabiHawks, it's a variety to it. You don't get the "boy next door" or "the better guy but not the choice". You get two enemies that fans turn into lovers in their fics. People dig the enemies to lovers trope and characters like Hawks and Dabi have fans drawn into the series. They're "cooler" than the male love interest of a romance.

And fanworks are there to create something that you can't possibly get in canon.

Some people may feel this: what's the point of writing a fic of a ship that is already canon?

How I feel about this character He's so WHINY! This doesn't mean I don't like him though XD He's doing his best and he's absolutely fascinating, those daddy issues are a thing of beauty for the show to have ridden so hard. I'd say he's funny, but uh... I kinda feel that if you look too closely he's just a damaged guy in a Situation with no idea how to find what he can never actually get, and that's the tragic sort of sad. He's like a soggy gerbil trying to dry off in the sand but someone keeps pouring buckets of water over him (75% of the time he's the one doing the bucket pouring)

All the people I ship romantically with this character I think for this bullet point we just have to assume I'll ship anyone with anyone. I enjoy him with Paddy, because it's just so volatile and there's really no predicting what's going to go on there.

My non-romantic OTP for this character Him and Jock. Those two paired together and unleashed on the world... damn.

My unpopular opinion about this character The moustache could have been sexy if it wasn't stuck on XD And I have no idea what's unpopular here, but his desperation for approval makes him very easy for Eve to manipulate. Wait is it unpopular to say he should have been allowed to do everything he did, petulant approval-seeking included, because you couldn't file that off or dial it down without losing the loser (irritated, but affectionate)

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon. I kinda wish we got to see his absolutley horrific Cairo flat. Please please PLEASE have him chattering away to a fellow P.O.W. in s2 not realising that the guy is actually a double agent And also please I wish he'd looked at a map and seen where Dudley said Eve's plane went down, then gone and given Dudley what for. David style.

Zukka (Zuko/Sokka), from Avatar the last airbender : they're simply idiots in love. I'm not sure I can explain why I love them so much. I think they're beautiful together and that their personalities complete each others.

SuguSato (Gojo Satoru/Geto Suguru) from Jujutsu Kaisen : AH. I won't talk about them or else I'll be writing all night. They're my current hyperfixation (since 2 years). I already made too much posts about them. They smart and idiots in the same time, they're kids who are learning how to love, they're the definition of bromance, the incarnation of gay/bi panic & awareness.

BokuAka (Bokuto Kotaro/Akaashi Keiji) AND KuroKen (Kuroo Tetsurou/Kenma Kozume), from Haikyuu : yes I have to put both because I am not able to choose only one. I know they're in highschool but they're just married. They're two married couples. They're soulmates. They are perfect for each other. They love each other so fucking much it's overwhelming. It's a captain/setter relationship that is so pure and wholesome. They're not even in the same year yet they fit each other perfectly. Also, they're sexy.

Karushuu (Akabane Karma/Asano Gakushuu), from Assassination Classroom : they're just the whole Enemies to Lovers trope for highschoolers and it's so fucking hilarious to imagine them flirting and bickering at the same time. I can imagine them in so many situations, and that's why I keep writing fanfiction about them. They have the exact same personality but just, slightly to the left, and that somehow makes them total opposite. Yet the relationship works.

EraserMic (Aizawa Shouta/Yamada Hizashi) from My Hero Academia : married couple too but they are adults and they also might have adopted a kid (Eri) or 20 (the entire 1-A + Hitoshi). It's the Sunshine/Moonlight trope, one hyperactive extravert in love with the tired emo introvert, and they work very well together. I also write fanfic about them. I had a 4 year long hyperfixation on them.

AziraCrow (Aziraphale/Crowley) from Good Omens : I don't need to say anything, just watch the show. It's on Amazon Prime. Alright, okay, I will say one thing : Genderqueer In Love.

Stucky (Steve Rogers/Bucky Barnes), from the MCU : It has been a while since I've read or saved anything about them but I will never forget how much I love them. I will never NOT be mad about the queerbait. They are in love till the end of the line, they cannot be separated, they are a whole pack yet Marvel put them apart. Just, let them be together, I'm begging you.

OOUHGHHH this is gonna be fun to answer as an otp thing for them!

i haven't written anything really for franklin himself, but my partner roleplays him and i love xyr portrayal of him so will be pulling from that (which, fun fact, is kinda where the idea of them as an oc/canon ship started from... but i love it sm i decided to separate it from just rp and make it a standalone thing teehee)

but anyway! below the cut bc i rambled about them... oops ^-^;

20. Does your OC have a tendency to get jealous? If so, how does this manifest?

phoebe does, and i think for her a lot of it stems from the fact attachment to others in general is a sensitive topic. she lost her parents, her brother jumped ship (and she has gotten over that, they're on good terms and she understands why he left los santos with his wife), and she really just. has nobody. so she does get worried when the few people she does genuinely attach herself to seemingly show signs of pulling back. it manifests as her withdrawing and becoming defensive of herself (expecting that withdraw and thus pushing the other party away).

franklin also seems like he does, and it's understandable in his case too. he's lost a lot of folk in his life, and those who are around are so stuck in a specific mindset that he feels ostracized for questioning it/trying to do something different with himself. ironically, they kind of deal with it in the same way. he gets upset and defensive, and he'll withdraw from the situation/the person(s) involved.

when it comes to their relationship, it does create tension and strain. understandably so. but a little time apart to cool off is often enough for them to wander back and talk things through.

21. Does your OC have any illnesses or disorders? How do they handle it?

phoebe has no physical illnesses, but she definitely has underlying mental health concerns due to discovering her parents after a break-in gone wrong. she tends to handle it by putting herself into adverse situations as one, they give her a chance to prove others (and namely, herself) wrong about a perceived lack of ability and two, they serve as a distraction. can't think about how shit you feel when you're being shot at!

as for franklin, i imagine they're pretty similar in that regard. he's seen a lot of things go on (and often, go wrong), that it's gotta weigh on him. it does weigh on him. we see that a lot in his dialogs with the other characters (and to himself). i don't remember if it's explicit or implied canon, but he has depression of some sort. as for handling it/coping with it, he does try to distance himself from things at times. but his conscience always gets the better of him, especially where people he cares about are involved (re: his shenanigans with lamar), and he gets roped back into things.

22. What character alignment would you consider your OC to be?

honestly they both have chaotic good energy.

phoebe i know for a fact is! she's not afraid to call bullshit as she sees it, and will often go against the societal norm to make things right (laws and regulations be damned)

franklin on the other hand, does fit that vibe but he's also less? energetic about it. i mean, he is depressed, so i don't blame him for that. but at the end of the day, he just wants things to be right. he could arguably also fit into true neutral territory, but i don't feel like he's really the "it is what it is" type.

23. What emotion is the hardest for your OC to process? How about express?

easy answer for both of them: vulnerability. a lot of it is kinda repeat from the jealousy question, but genuinely?

it is so hard for them both to process anything that puts them at a perceived disadvantage socially. they've been through it. they've lost a lot. they don't want to appear 'weak' because it only further ostracizes them from the crowds they find themselves in.

24. What is an alternative life path your OC might have gone down? How different would their life be if they'd made those decisions?

i feel like, in an alternate life, phoebe either would have become some sort of influence or done work with animals. her sense of style is so bold and specific, and she does love engaging with new trends and keeping atop of that. of course, that's also expensive, and it likely would have become a side thing to working with animals. she never had pets until patches (her neighbors' boxer that she adopted out from them), but after taking care of him? yeah. she could see herself doing that on a larger scale/long-term. it's actually a back-burner kind of headcanon i have for her that, between heists, she does volunteer at the los santos county animal shelter. her life would have been very different; a lot more stable, frankly.

with franklin, we do get to see a look into an alternate life through the online lore re: him becoming the owner of a celebrity solutions agency (though his work is… very similar to the work he did with michael and trevor; just he's not on the ground as much and it's a lot more planned out/clean). that said, if he truly were to have an alternative life path, i feel like it would have been something with automotive work. as sleazy as simeon's business is, franklin seemed like he genuinely enjoyed working with the cars and prepping them for purchase/showcase! if he never got involved with michael and the boys(tm), his life would have been so much different.

25. What is your favorite thing about your OC?

oh man…

my favorite thing about phoebe, besides her sense of style, is just how down-to-earth she is at the end of the day. like. she really is just some person when the job is said and done. most of the stuff i've written for her privately/through rp aren't even like… heist related. it's just her being within the boundaries of los santos and existing. she's met ramón (other oc) and chatted with him. she's done gun-for-hire work for laverne (oc), and subsequently sat and had lunch with her by the pier. her, candy, and faye (ocs) are best fucking friends. they always have girls nights out together at the vanilla unicorn and to the pier and up to blaine county to fuck around in the desert.

and my favorite thing about franklin is just how much he actually cares about people. he tries to hide it, but we can see time and time again that he genuinely wants what's best/safest for everyone. like. his relationship with lamar?? and the way he interacts with imani (gta online npc; daughter of one of his longer-term friends, pearlie)??? obsessed. he's so fucking… good. he's a good man. and he deserves the world.

then, as a bonus, my favorite thing about them/their relationship is how much they balance each other out. how they've become a safe space for one another, where (even if their psyches get the best of them) they can be vulnerable and wholly trusting about themselves, their thoughts, and their emotions. they fuck around and get into trouble, sure, and they have a lot of fun doing it...

but at the end of the day, their favorite thing to do is just exist together. turn on whatever shitty movie re-run is playing on the television, cuddle up on the couch, and just. exist. and i just think that's neat.
