Im in writing mood but i dont think i could work that into a story so.

In the tekken hades au, Hell Embodied IS Kazumi but not really or more accurately, not anymore:

Quick lore/mechanic recap: during a run, Jin has a chance to go meet Azazel via ominous purple crystals randomly spawning and get the optional boss fight Devil Jin, which during the first encounter unlock the devil fighting style, and the next encounters allow Jin to get or level up devil style moves. Other than that, Azazel has a story sidequest involving "Kazumi" (basically the Chaos and Nyx equivalent).

Basically during that story sidequest, we get Hell Embodied/"Kazumi" backstory and lore. It was originally a place that came to be because of Azazel's influence but it was slightly closer to the surface than where Azazel, a primordial entity older than most gods, resides (Alex is also from where Azazel is from and that's why theyre both reptilian looking but that's another story).

Eventually it developped a curiosity for what was above and assumed a corporeal form to wander up there (and that's when it added she/her to its pronouns)

She attracted the attention of the new God King Heihachi that just finished usurping his father's throne and he eventually asked to wed her. Initially she intended to use him to gain power and control over this surface world but down the line she developped real feelings for him. And they had a son :)

Eventually Heihachi found out the truth about her nature and, feeling betrayed and wholly believing she did not in fact, love him, he stripped her of her corporeal form and status of goddess and drove her back to her "real" place, aka the middle ground between the primordial dark and the surface world, aka Hell, where she would be utterly incapable of leaving, not even getting the chance to stay a few moments up there like its son and grandson (And Heihachi could do that since his status of God King gave him the authority to do so.)

So that was one way to permanently "kill" a god: by forcefully making everyone forget about them, they are no longer a person. So as far as Heihachi and everyone else was concerned, Kazumi was officially dead.

(Another way is to keep a god in a constant state of dying, so to speak, because leaving a god for dead will only insure they return eventually. Not having the authority of the God King, thats what Lars, Lee and Kazuya did to Heihachi: after Kaz defeated him, they put him at the center of the earth, letting the deadly magma of the place do the job, and bind him there so he could not escape. Lars feels bad about it but it needed to be done for the good of everyone, Lee was like "Oh No! Anyway..." at that, and Kazuya would've thrown a party if it was smth he did. And was all too happy to let the memory of his father be buried forever and to never talk about him again.)

(Young gods can die permanently bc they didnt get enough time to cement themselves into the world. Smth smth if a chick cannot break its egg's shell it will die without being born. Wink wink)

Heihachi kept their child around initially for the same reason Kazuya will keep Jin eons later: he reminded him of his mother. And for the same reason Kazuya will treat Jin, Heihachi came to resent Kazuya: he installed a legacy of parricide by "killing" Jinpachi the Sky God, reducing him to a concept, so to secure his throne (but lying to himself as him making sure his son is a worthy heir), Heihachi did the whole heaven cliff tossing to Kazuya.

"Kazumi" found the body of its/her son and yknow the rest.

As for the reason Kazuya doesnt recognize her, well, for starters, the corporeal form of Kazumi was her human design, but Hell Embodied (who it/she just is now) looks more like a ethereal ghostly version of devil Kazumi. Another reason is that Kaz is a stubborn man who adamently refuses to aknowledge his past pain, be it losing his mother or his father in general.

If Jin confront "Kazumi" after Azazel spilled the beans, it will make Jin promise to not reveal anything to Kazuya, for a multitudes of reasons.

Jin relunctantly agrees but he does call Hell Embodied "grandma" when he's on his own, and he does feel closer to her now.

I was having a lovely conversation with my mom today at the dinner table while eating tacos. We were talking about fictional and celebrity hunks. She listed Chris Evans, Thor and Chris Pratt. I listed Harrison Ford/ Han Solo and Bucky Barnes.

“Who else do you find as a hunk?” My beloved mami (mom for Spanish, yes I still call her mami, let me act like a kid around her 🙄) asked.

I snapped my fingers and pointed to nothing but air “Hunter from The Bad Batch.”

My amazing Mami looked at me and said “That’s a cartoon character” She gave me a look and said “that’s…weird.”

I then showed her a picture of Hunter (even though she has seen him before). She then said “He looks like Rambo.”

My somewhat uncultured ass looked up Rambo.

(Belatedly) celebrating the one-year anniversary of the 'Destiny Bond' comic with a rare, fully-illustrated piece. A bit of extra context and rambly thoughts under the cut 🫶💖💕

A little over a year ago, I posted the first part of the Destiny Bond comic, originally intended to be a one-off doodle exploring the consequences of Morty's prophetic abilities on his relationship with Eusine.

That sketchy doodle of mine ended up being a whole narrative project spanning across a few months, before I eventually took a pause on it to focus on my mental health (having reached a low earlier in the year).

It was a daring enough project in and of itself, especially with how I had spontaneously taken it on when I was still recovering from a years-long burnout with 2D art. Though (temporarily) stopping sooner than I had hoped, I can confidently say that this little comic project of mine had helped to rekindle my love for drawing as a whole, and had further lead me to meeting some of the most wonderful people and friends in this small corner of the Pokémon fandom (whom also happen to be obsessed with these two silly guys from the GSC/HGSS games). It's a project I hold dearly to my heart, and one that I hope to revisit and continue once I feel ready to do so; as the story has yet to truly kick off (I'm not even joking we're still in the prologue technically I'm yelling /lh).

I hope to be able to share the rest of this story with you all one day, in whatever new form it'll take as. For now, I want to say thank you, from the deepest parts of my heart, for supporting this passion project of mine - and to assure you to tune in for the future of this title. 👀✨

Can you elaborate on Spy Gone North old man yaoi because my dad made me watch that in theatres with him when it released ages ago and I was so w/e about it (memories of the actual film are blurry) bc I did noooot pick up on that at all. But girl I want to see what you saw.

ok this was me for most of the film it was kind of hard for me to understand cuz the political aspects / lingo was. hard. but SPOILERS towards the end when south kr release the newspapers abt the main chara being a spy, and the north kr political figure (?) guy he was working with to make the ad program go thru found out, he comes over to his hotel w a 🔫 and wanted to kill him for being a spy BUT he couldnt cuz he got emo about how they sort of had the same goals and patriotism, asked if main chara & his fam would move to north kr, if so "he would make sure they survived no matter what" 😳 but anyhow he couldnt kill him and helped him escape w that fancy passport (?) and main chara was like "wat will happen to u once they find out i escaped 🥺" and the whole "i want to meet you again" "we will see each other if it is meant to be" I KNO ITS IN THE CONTEXT OF THEM WORKING TOWARDS THEIR OWN GOALS FOR THEIR OWN COUNTRY but still 😳 and they kinda became great friends right before that scene too, when the north kr guy invites mc to his house for dinner and he presents him with the camaraderie necktie pin it was so cute how he was shy about it "i wanted to give you a gift too even tho its small, if you dont hate it please accept it" just so cute how he was shy about it cuz the gift He received from mc was a ROLEX yes ik its fake and it was given in the beginning as part of the mc's spy plan to get close to the n. kr guys and become business partners akajakak AND THEE LAST SCENE OF THE FILM WHERE THEY MEET ON SET OF THE AD SHOOTING mc was anxiously / hopefully looking for n. kr guy and n. kr guy was searching the crowd for mc too and when they spot each other they have the biggest grin and show off the watch / tie clip like they never forgot about each other / their friendship / mutual respect or whatever ALL TEARY GLASSY EYED TOO UWU 🥺😍🥹 old man yaoi

in april 2022 this phd student researching study abroad experiences interviewed me and my mom bc her dissertation was all abt the return experience and how that impacts the family and ive literaly been looking forward to getting her dissertation and reading it for over a year and she just sent it to me at last and. it turns out she excluded my contributions to it bc her study doesn’t encompass experiences of ppl who were sent home early / had their study abroad cancelled when covid started and the world shut down bc that experience was “non-normative” 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃 i get it but i am also feeling murderous rage

To input another pov to the s2e5 conversation, I personally brushed off the single dad comment from earlier in the ep, chalking it up to clunky exposition dialogue (oh they need to show how he has his hands full in one line and make it make sense) and THEN the fit check happened and my eyebrows raised to the my hairline, and THEN Don dropped that "[...] or did you follow me home? ;)" line with THAT attitude, and my had to cover my mouth going, what's going on...?? lmao from an extremely jaded tv watcher who almost never ship anything except canon events.

Truly think the world collectively shook that night thanks to the number of viewers leaning forward in their seats with hands over their mouths and awe in their eyes 😂💖

But really though, there will NEVER be proper explanation for what happened in ep 5 other than Loki's canonical impulse to impress Mobius at any given moment finally extending to 90s Hugh Grant rom com territory (as anything should, tbh) or it being a hint that on Don's timeline he'll eventually meet *his* Loki and the two of them will settle into suburbia with the kids and jet ski off into the sunset as fandom intended and I'm personally fine with either option lol

The Zeppeli family developed a system of saying things without actually saying them. For example, if they have guests over and one of them pours the wine, the way that they position the bottle signals to the other if the person they're talking to is worthy. If they have the bottle rotated backwards then that's them saying "Don't talk to this guy, he's no good", among other little cues. It was also considered a great sign of disrespect if a waiter did not wait on the most senior person in the party if they went somewhere nice to eat. Or if the women did not wait on the patriarch of the family first.

And that is another thing: when the fam gets together, all the men talk to each other in a great foyer somewhere with couches and fancy end tables and ofc wine. Everywhere there was the wine!

And the women, they go somewhere else and don't listen to the men talk.

They're also very traditional, which posed a problem for Mela (and Gyro, to some extent). Mela wants to bring her girlfriend Jodie over but she can't let anybody know that she's seeing Jodie. Cant let nobody know. Gyro has a similar issue when he invites Johnny over, and Caesar has this roundabout thing for Joseph. They gotta keep it hush hush.

Enter Paxe, Gyro's eldest child. She wants to join the men in talking about whatever they're talking about because staying with the women and helping to cook is very boring to her. But it's considered disrespect and out of place for a girl to be talking among the men during these get togethers. The Zeppeli men don't say nothing at first and watch Paxe, each staring from their place to impart the message that she shouldn't be there. And she got it but she didn't care. She wanted to be where her papà was, so she wanted to stay and pretend that nothing was wrong. Then one of the men piped up at Gyro. "You gonna let this kid stay here or what?" And Gyro knew that he was already disrespecting the family but not controlling his child and if he didnt do anything, there would be problems down the line.

So he pulls Paxe aside and pleads with her to stay with her grandmother and cousins and do what they tell her to do. If anybody else told her that, Paxe would dig her heels in like a little bull and go right back to what she was doing. But she could never stand like that against her father. She loved and respected him too much, and ever since her mother died, the last thing she wanted to do was to make him angry.
