It’s still October, so my Opus era retrospective continues.. here’s one of my fav moments - Papa doing the growly bit in Ritual, from a show in Manchester in 2011. Nowadays the part is heavily enhanced by a backing track, but early on it was all Papa.

Papa I: Primo would follow the ceremony fairly traditionally in line with the ritual components by book but daaaaamn, can that old man fuck well- the stamina, I’m drooling!! But he’s uuuh sterile lol so unsuccessful, no heir or Antichrist produced for the clergy whoops…But he only mentions that afterwards (the old man deserves to have his fun).

Papa II: He puts his own personal spin on the ceremony, only disregarding tradition a tad bit- by turning it into a full, scripted BDSM scene drawn out for hours. Aaaaand what do you know, he brought a harem of Prime Movers! Who would’ve thought…

Papa III: Being one very much against tradition, Papa III turns the ceremony over on its head out of defiance. In front of the entire congregation, Papa III invites one of his ghouls Omega to dominate him rather than the other way around. Terzo’s act of rebellion was likely what landed him in the position he’s in now (RIP kitten).

Papa IV: Copia tries to follow tradition, mentally preparing with the utmost determination and having read every scroll of every accounted Prime Mover ceremony in the entire history since the faith’s initial fruition. No, he has not had hands-on experience but it can’t be that difficult, right? If it’s anything like the movies, it should be a breeze! Alright, so maybe he froze up a little from nerves and the Prime Mover had to take control…maybe he did have to keep pulling out at random times to give himself breathers before cumming too early (he’s gentlemanly like that)…and perhaps he called his Prime Mover “mommy” for everyone all over the church grounds to hear when he finally allowed himself to cum…
