I don't really understand the "who else could it be" question cause to me the next secret boss seems pretty obvious? The mention of DELTA RUNE is pretty standout but considering these cards feature the characters talking directly to us in general they're pretty firmly outside of canon. I do feel like knowing about DELTA RUNE could just be an advancement of the plot, since Jevil and Spamton seem to have weird knowledge they shouldn't already.

Also I feel like it'd be weird for Toby to make the text read like it could be Gaster in english but read nothing like Gaster in japanese. You gotta remember the japanese translation doesn't just exist to give us character hints through the way characters speak in japanese, it's for a different audience and Toby has to get across the same ideas to them. It'd be weird if we were supposed to assume this was Gaster but the japanese fans weren't given any reason to think that.

i agree! i definitely think now that its much more likely to not be gaster but someone associated with him, like a secret boss and/or someone like whoever the "FRIEND" in the basement was.

i will say however that the other valentines arent necessarily talking directly to us, in fact some of them are directed at certain people such as ralsei's letter to susie. nothing in them denotes them as being to us specifically. yes theyre obviously for us the fandom functionally but all of them in-universe could very easily be addressed to other in-universe ppl (tho one of ralsei's seems very likely directed to us..) the mystery one is the only one that HAS to be TO US in-universe because of the deltarune name drop.

i have a lot of thoughts about this letter, its many connections and possible explanations, but i'm saving them for the video i plan on making going over all this lol

Also sorry if the first panel is unclear. Adeleine isn't trying to clumsily remove the visor, she's reaching in to touch his face to let him know she's there, as Noir is blind and deaf in this particular form, outside of what information the petals take in and transmit to him. They can't recognize qualities of the voice, ie, that it is his beloved little sister, simply that "some" voice is talking to him. They are also what transmits his "voice" (more like a droll, ghosty monotone) outwards.

Anyway, I was revisiting some of my favorite fairy tales, including HC Andersen's "The Snow Queen" (where the title originates) when I realized just how well parts of that story fit Adeleine and Noir.

In seconds, I'd written up a fresh script and was drawing this. It's a little rushed/uneven because I pushed myself to finish as quick as possible so that this could be my official last art post before my surgery tomorrow, figuring it was a good note to leave things on.

Call it ~fairy tale magic~ (although I imagine this is set sometime AFTER the Dark Matter Trilogy rather than during. Perhaps after Zero's "favorite tool" was discovered to be broken beyond repair and with Zero itself destroyed, 02 and the rest of the Dark Matter cut him off from the hive and left him to starve to death in the ruins of Shiver Star, where Adeleine eventually discovers him after revisiting her journey with the others) ...but at least we've got x1 Noir saved now!

Because I know you folks care about lore, drone-type or unhatched Dark Matter "feed" off energy provided from the Hive Queen and they will burn in the light without their queen's protection.

Main game Shiver Star is actually MANY years removed from the Shiver Star Adeleine and Noir grew up on. (Adeleine fell through a dimensional rift halfway off planet and wound up on Popstar YEARS later than she left. It's a...complicated...story I'll tell later, while Noir has been Dark Matter for much longer than it seems) So, in addition to there being no more people there, there is significantly less of the kind of light that harms Dark Matter. (Is it, in fact, DUE to the lack of living creatures on the planet?? Dun-dun-dun?!)

Speaking of lore: "Wasn't there a literal parasite inside this version of Noir?? Like, an eyeball in his chest? Is that just gone now?"

It is not GONE, for no one goes through life without some consequences. Though it was starved into hibernation and made further dormant by ~the healing power of love~ Noir does retain some piece of Dark Matter living inside him. A creature inside that grows stronger feeding off his negative emotions. 

He will simply have to learn to control it instead of giving in.

...Just like the rest of us humans. ^_-

I think the latter is a lot more likely. Most aspects (lol) of Homestuck's magic system are there to serve the story first and foremost. As much as I'd love the comic to turn into a treatise on Sburb deeplore, it really doesn't feel like something Hussie would be interested in doing.

The story won't really suffer without, say, a detailed explanation of every facet of alchemy - I just really like speculating, because I'm all about shit like that.

It's only one piece of the Vriska-Tavros puzzle, but it's an important one. She'll refuse to acknowledge it to the end, though, because the idea of being jealous of Tavros is disgusting to her.

I think it's both.

Jade's been through a lot in the last couple of hours, and she really isn't the same girl who died on Prospit.

Being an oracle of Skaia's visions led to disaster. They showed her that John's Dream Self would awaken, leading her to believe she was finally going to meet him, but neglected to mention that she'd die the moment he opened his eyes - or that Prospit would die alongside her.

As a result, the new Jade seems to have made a decision to completely reject all prophetic information. She'll supply the minimum possible intel to her past self, and no more.

It's clear her Dream Self's death was a catalyst for a pretty dramatic shift in her worldview. She's angry - at the trolls, at herself, and at the world that betrayed her trust. She's tired of being jerked around, and her tumultuous emotions are making her rather testy. Basically, she's sick of all the bullshit, and she won't take it from anyone anymore.

Jadesprite has experienced the same catalyst, and has also come to mistrust the clouds, but for different reasons.

Jade rejects prophecies, in part, because she doesn't want to be deceived - but Jadesprite rejects them out of sheer hopelessness. She just doesn't care anymore.

They both have the same trauma, but they're dealing with it in very different ways - and at this point, I really do consider them to be different people.

And then on a metaphorical level, Jadesprite represents the 'silly', absent-minded childhood self that got Jade into this mess.

I think this taunt from Karkat hit very, very close to home for her, and I'm sure she associates the traits he described with her idyllic days on Prospit. It's part of why Dream Jade is such a perfect target for her fury.

Rose and Dave's entry cards also summoned auxiliary items, but they were different - a cabinet and bird, respectively. From where I'm sitting, the link between the two Prospit items does seem unique.

This version of Megalovania was a great choice for Aradia's finest hour - or at least, her finest hour so far.

While I see what you're saying, it might not necessarily be a plot hole! Certainly the Dave Coin Timeline was created in a different manner to Davesprite's - but that might just mean there are multiple ways to split a timeline, or that there are certain requirements that must be fulfilled for a decision to spawn one.

Because of things like that, it's hard to tell whether something's actually a plot hole, or if it'll eventually make sense in light of later reveals.

This is particularly true for aspects of the plot involving time travel, like the one you just described. Like, remember before I learned about Doomed Timelines, when I thought Davesprite broke Homestuck's predestination rules?

I never really thought about that!

I think it's definitely possible. God Tier bodies can fly the same way that Dream Selves can, so other powers might transfer, too. Maybe the only reason Vriska, Aradia and John aren't shapeshifters is because Jade hasn't taught them to how to dream up extra limbs.

She might be one of the only Dream Selves who've learned how to shapeshift this fluidly. Logging thousands of hours on Prospit has its perks!

Thoughts about Mattias' Design Notes

"Ventriloquism" explains the "consonants" in Matthias' deducs 3 and 9.

The manor game designers being inspired by their "device design", but came to include Matthias himself after seeing him pursue "perfection" by playing the role expected of him...

Movable devices that have some way to talk (even if by pretending via ventriloquism) makes me think of Bonbon. Though he was made before the manor games...

There is also how the manor is seemingly responsible for making Louis and sending him back to Matthias...

Maybe a bit of a strange thought, but the Muse sculptures came to my mind too. They were also said to be "mechanisms" designed by Burke. From what we've seen so far, they don't move much or talk, but maybe they'll do more later in the main story...?

But besides that I wonder why else the manor games would need "movable devices"

As for the "perfection" bit, that makes me think of Hollow and his desire to "rebuild paradise", as "paradise" is essentially meant to be a "perfect" place.

With the role Hollow and Orpheus are trying make themselves out to be, they'd also be interested in "perfection". And with Hollow/Orpheus' desire for "vengeance", I'd imagine the idea of "getting stronger" was his first idea to achieve that perfection.

But for Matthias, "Louis" is the imagined "perfect" version of Matthias. Matthias just acts the way people expect him to. Orpheus also pretends in a way, considering what we know about him vs. how we see him act in the final game and in general.

I wonder if you could say Orpheus got the idea of the hallucinations from Matthias?

Matthias pretends to be Louis. Maybe this can be sort of like Frederick acting as Mary? Or Norton who we see holding a pickaxe pretending to be Fool's Gold and pretend to chase Alice?

Puppets are normally controlled via strings, though the Czernin's created "movable devices", so like the design notes say about the chess pieces in Matthias' essence, the Czernin's performance (+ ventriloquism) makes Louis seem alive and like it has a will of its own.

Orpheus in this case is like the puppetmaster, with the game participants being the puppets (especially with how in game they're shown with doll eyes). The participants are alive and thus capable of moving and talking and acting on their own, but Orpheus is the 1 manipulating and moving them into the places and roles he desires them to be in. He can also make them act differently from how they normally are (with the help of the drugs), or basically make them more extreme than they normally are.

But back to Orpheus himself being like Matthias in the way of acting out a different role than what he actually is. Orpheus in a way does act a different role based on people's perceptions. Specifically how he's viewed by the public due to him being a novelist.

In contrast, we know Orpheus' inner feelings are closer to what we see and hear from Hollow as well as how he acts as the manor owner/Nightmare.

In the final game he acts as if he's the son of the DeRoss couple. He acts as if the forest ranger wasn't his real father, as if Orpheus didn't have any part in the tragedy despite how we know from Bonbon's deductions he had been involved to a degree (at least by apparently stealing things from the manor for his real parents). He acts like he doesn't know Alice.

We don't know if he's truly forgotten or if he's only pretending, but this is still likely what he wants to believe in. Even in the present, after Time of Reunion, Orpheus believes in memories we know aren't the complete truth.

As we see in Matthias' Design Notes, the final line is appropriate. It's a "meticulously crafted illusion performance" that "became a lifelong, irrevocable delusion". Except now Alice wants to stop Orpheus, fix everything, and make everyone, including Orpheus, confront the truth.

Okay listen..... Gucci and Gucci are different. Does that make sense.....? lol Like the Gucci some of us know are 😖 but this Gucci... the one I'm talking about..... It's very 🤌🏼🤌🏼 lmfao Anyways look, Wonwoo is a clean polished guy. He like simple outfits, clean lines, not too flashy – but he also looks good in color. I think this brand will look so so so good on him especially if they were to pull pieces that matches his stage presence well. The potential we would have... wow wow

MINGYU - Givenchy

The day Mingyu and learns how to dress according to proportions and realizes that he can look clean and polished all while mixing texture/prints.... is the day my world will look like it has sunshine rainbows and butterflies Givenchy is literally the perfect brand for him because I know how much he loves his colors and I know how much he loves looking polished when it comes to formal event. It's a brand that I think he could take and run with for at least 2 years.

ok, so this bit of dialogue here where they are talking about Daniel and the interview

Armand: He wants you in pieces for the privilege of putting them back together as he sees fit. Louis: It's his job. Armand: It's his drug. He's reveling in it. You should end it.

Is Armand bitter? Is this how he saw his and Daniel's relationship? If so he is big mad. Like, this man has had decades to stew in that post-breakup anger. Memory is a monster and all that. So he's had plenty of time to do that thing where people breakup, get pissed off, and only remember the bad times. We twist our own memory all the time, that's one of the ways people get past shit. So Armand has probably twisted what he and Daniel has. Because my boy does not handle rejection well.

Or maybe he is projecting? Messing with Louis' memories (which it seems like he did. though i do believe he thought he was helping Louis at the time. a monster in love is still a monster) could very well be putting him back as Armand sees fit. That's what he may believe he did to Louis. Though the definition of 'as he sees fit' could have multiple meanings. I think personally that Armand sees (or at least justifies) messing with Louis memories as for Louis own good.

Either way, he does not want Daniel poking into Louis' head.

this is just some loumand cuteness. look, Armand kisses Louis on the cheek. i think Armand is or was probably pretty affectionate when him and Louis were alone together. I remember that interview with Assad saying there was a tenderness to Louis and Armand's relationship. there's a whole bunch of cute little shots of them together. but they are hard to get a cleat shot of because they sort of fade into each other in the video.

like, i know in my heart the loumand breakup is coming this season. but i'm going to enjoy it while it lasts. bc this version of loumand has got me hooked. i have to confess, i was never really a big fan of loumand in the iwtv book. the whole claudia of it all ruined it for me. but i am so fascinated to see how these two made it work for 77 years.

According to her diaries, they were in Romania in 1941. And Louis says something about they can't be the only 'good ones'

We also know they were in Paris, Nov 14 from Claudia's diaries. The interview is set in 2022. Louis mentions earlier in the clip him and Armand have been together 77 years. So they'd have to have gotten together in 1945. Given how quickly things happened in the book, I'd say they were probably only there a few months.

this might be Madeliene, but I don't know. The hair doesn't fit what we've seen so far. my theory is that this is Madeleine's sister who dies via vampires. in the books she lost a daughter, and it was why she was so eager to play mother to Claudia. Having a child that could almost literally never die would have had to seem like, the greatest thing ever. switching it to a sister would be fitting, seeing as Claudia is playing the role of sister to Louis

So my thought here, (and I know I am theorizing based on nothing but vibes) is that Madeleine is looking into the vampires bc her sister went missing after going to a show at the Theatre des Vampires. And at some point, Claudia will reveal what they are to her.

Ozaki: That's so sudden.

Morita: It's a secret?

Ozaki: "The Beginning."

Hirata: It's not about a criminal, is it?

Ozaki: It's about the beginning.

Hirata: What does he mean by it?

Morita: The beginning is the start?

Hirata: The start?

Ozaki: It has many different meanings. It's the start of Tiger & Bunny story. And it's the beginning of the relationship between Kotetsu and Barnaby. It's a beginning in many different ways.

Hirata: So it's their relationship at the beginning of the TV series…

Morita: Yeah. So back to the four different Barnabys…

Ozaki: Please use them.

Morita: I just managed to combine them into one…

Hirata: you finally combined them?

Morita: Yeah, I finally combined them. I need to split him back into four parts.

Hirata: It's a movie, so four might not be enough. You might need eight.

Morita: Eight? In that case, that would apply to Kotetsu too.

Hirata: Well then how about my old suit version? Does that appear?

Ozaki: I need a Kotetsu that you have never played before - a new version of Kotetsu.

Hirata: Then I'll go from two versions to three versions.

Ozaki: I got together with Nishida-san, the writer of the script, and we discussed what kind of story we watned to make for this movie.

Hirata: Sorry to sound impatient, but are these new events setting up a part two or something?

Ozaki: Part two… Umm…

Hirata: You really can't reveal it?

Ozaki: Umm…

Hirata: So you can't say whether or not it'll lead into anything?

Ozaki: Something like that. Umm…

Hirata: What was that?

Ozaki: It's probably going to be about something that you two, as well as the fans, would want to see.

Hirata: What do you want to see the most?

Morita: I kind of want to know what Ouroboros is.

Hirata: Ah…

Ozaki: Well, what about you?

Hirata: Me? The thing I want to see the most is… I want to know who gave Kaede the power to attract metal objects.

Ozaki: Shall I septn two hours showing how that happened?

Hirata: You don't need to spend two hours. I'd just like you to touch on that if you have the time.

Morita: Even while we were recording, we were wondering who she touched.

Hirata: What old man or woman in the middle of the countryside has that magnetic power? I've been…

Morita: We want to know!

Ozaki: What do you think of this? (holds up palms)

Hirata: The fans who are watching this are probably remembering that part.

Ozaki: Part 1 and Part 2 aren't connected. They're individual stories. Part 1 doesn't end with a cliffhanger and go on to Part 2.

Morita: I see.

Ozaki: People sure were excited in Hong Kong.

Morita: He did it!

Hirata: You dodge the topic.

Morita: He sure did.

Hirata: So how was it?

Morita: I went to a big event called C3 in Hong Kong… Tiger & Bunny is ridiculously popular.

Hirata: Hold on a second. The event was two days long or something, right?

Morita: It was three days long. I attended two days.

Hirata: How many people were there?

Morita: It was pretty big.

Ozaki: There were several hundred chairs, but there were standing sections as well. There were about 123,000 attendees over the three days. It was a pretty huge event.

Hirata: 120,000 people?

Ozaki: Over three days.

Hirata: 120,000 people by word of mouth?

Morita: Yeah.

Hirata: That's amazing.

Ozaki: The Tiger & Bunny talk show with Morita-san and myself attracted several hundred people. You couldn't fit a thousand people in that area.

Morita: It was too small for a thousand people.

Ozaki: But it was totally packed.

Morita: Yeah, it was.

Ozaki: I was a bit worried about doing this in Hong

Kong. I didn't know if they knew about the show.

Hirata: Right…

Ozaki: So until the day of the event, I was worried about whether people would come. How about you?

Morita: There were a lot of cosplayers.

Ozaki: Yeah, there were.

Morita: There was a Kotetsu, Sky High, and Bunny in their hero suits.

Hirata: Who makes those?

Morita: They were so well made!

Ozaki: They're handmade.

Morita: It's amazing. And we even got to talk about important things.

Ozaki: Yeah.

Hirata: What did you talk about?

Morita: This movie is going to be released in Hong Kong at the same time as Japan.

Ozaki: Yes.

Hirata: All at once?

Morita: They're going to get to see it on the same day as people in Japan. There's only an hour time difference.

Ozaki: That's right. It's about the same.

Morita: The same day.

Hirata: That's amazing.

Morita: They can see it.

Hirata: So you need to air the show before the release, then.

Morita: Ozaki-san is really amazing for setting this all up. It's set to air too.

Ozaki: Yeah.

Morita: Are they going to air it over there with the original audio?

Ozaki: No, they're going to dub it. They're probably going to make it Cantonese. Yeah, they're going to dub it.

Hirata: How are they going to translate my scream? I don't think it'll translate into Cantonese.

Morita: I wonder what it'll be…

Ozaki: I wonder. We were taught some Cantonese phrases. I already forgot what they were.

Morita: You forgot them?

Ozaki: Anyway, there's a Hong Kong dub in the works, and casting for the English version as well.

Hirata: Yeah?

Ozaki: Yes.

Hirata: What would my scream be in English?

Morita: What would it be? Wouldn't it just be the same?

Ozaki: It might be.

Morita: It's like a special attack.

Hirata: Yeah. "Wild" would just be "Wild" because it's English.

Ozaki: "Wild Roar"… Something like that.

Hirata: Wild Roar! It sounds like I'm really roaring.

Morita: The previews might stay the same. They're in English, after all.

Hirata: The previews?

Morita: Barnaby goes, "Hi! Tiger and Bunny…" Is that all going to be in English?

Ozaki: Yes.

Morita: Why don't we just do it in Japanese? Make it reversed.

Ozaki: Well, Kotetsu doesn't speak good English. We're going to figure out how we can express that in English dub.

Morita: Ozaki-san will spill the beans one day.

Ozaki: Yes. We're not just releasing it simultaneously in Hong Kong, but Taiwan and Singapore as well.

Hirata & Morita: Wow…

Ozaki: We're trying to do that with other countries as well.

Ozaki: In the end, probably more than ten countries.

Ozaki: The movie is coming out in September. The staff working on it doesn't have any time to sleep.

Morita: They're already working on it?

Ozaki: Yes, they are. We've already gotten the storyboard. Now that we have that, we're working on animating it. We're just getting started. We're working really hard.

Hirata: I think I should beging practicing saying, "I'm going to let out a wild roar."

Morita: I think I understand now. When you're in the hot seat, you start fidgeting. Your eyes start drifting.

Maybe be I’m just projecting but—

From your descriptions, it sounds like Mihawk had some pretty OCD-like symptoms and control issues even before the trauma. I could just be pathologizing here; I'm not a psychiatrist or therapist, but I am someone who suffers from OCD and OCD-like symptoms. His need for perfection in everything he does, almost hypochondriac tendencies, sounds like they get ratcheted up to extremes. Maybe his canon counterpart found ways to mellow out, deal with it in a healthy manner, focus on gardening or how he arranges his castle, or keep himself concentrated on busywork.

But this version of Mihawk sounds like he's always three steps away from rubbing the skin off his hands from a bad texture. I wonder if the Mihawk, like many trauma survivors, the world is both hypersensitive and muted to him? Like his need for control and constant use of Observation Haki is to the point that the world feels too bright and too uncontrollable but also muted emotionally, like he's not really feeling it? Like a dissidence between him and reality and being able to control his environment helps with the issue.

I wonder if he's experiencing constant sensory overload but can't stop himself from this form of self-harm, fearing that the moment he turns off Observation Haki is the moment something bad happens. And if he sees Shanks as a piece of himself, something sewn skin to skin, does he fret and control Shanks too? Like fixing his hair a certain way, wiping his mouth of crumbs, cleaning his hands and face after a battle, choosing his outfits, and does it get to the point where it goes from harmless fretting into something suffocating?

I can see Shanks soaking it up at first, someone taking care of him, loving him, looking out for him. It probably feels normal, natural, and from what we've talked about, it seems one of his coping mechanisms is just shutting down, going quiet and still, and disappearing for a while. Having someone to take care of you while you're basically incapacitated must be helpful. But maybe sometimes it feels like Shanks doesn't own his own skin, and being taken care of feels less like care and more like control. He'll remember being dolled up, forced to wear makeup and clothes, to smile and lie and continue on until his voice bled, and not even the softness of callus free hand feels like his own.— and he'll get into these screaming matches with Mihawk over buttons or the food that they're eating, insisting that he's not a kid anymore, that he can take care of himself.

And Mihawk, angry from Shanks' anger, wound up from the feeling of everything and everyone mixed with his PTSD, will bite back just as mean. That he couldn't take care of himself yesterday, and if he was going to spit on Mihawk giving a damn, he could at least say it out loud!

They’ll be angry, so vicious, and needling, and cruel. Maybe their projecting maybe their both confused and in pain and don’t know how to say “I love you but being around you makes me want to claw my own skin off sometimes but being with out you is death and I don’t know which is worse?”

In the beginning the same way he wears high collars and a full jacket and hat does Mihawk also wear gloves or keep his hands covered in armament? To A. Not touch anything and B. Deal with sensory input? Did Shanks walk around completely ass naked after a fight just to prove a point that the won’t wear any of the clothes Mihawk picked out for him?

Do they have meltdowns? Where Mihawk can't stand the heat or his clothes or anything touching him, even the air he breathes feels like poison. Does he get angry, does he spiral? Does he use his observation haki to purposefully attack people where he knows it will hurt the most, by feeling out their emotions and their thoughts, cruel, cruel so very cruel. I know Shanks shuts down, but what about when he has a melt down, is it even more catastrophic with his uncontrollable Conqueror's Haki mixed in? Like an oppressive weight of anger, pain, sorrow so deep and wide it could swallow the world.

Just these two feel like their going to eat each other alive with there trauma and unhealthy coping mechanisms. I’m just holding on to the fact that you say they get some healing in the end.

He did/does. Partly he's just innately a perfectionist, but yes, it always seemed to me like Mihawk would have some control issues/tendencies like the ones you've mentioned. Pre-Loguetown AU Mihawk doesn't struggle with them severely, because up until Loguetown, he's always had control over himself and his surroundings/environment, and working alone contributes greatly to keeping down any negative stimuli/things he can't immediately control or has to overtly work to control. This goes the same for canon Mihawk. He's in a steady situation, except when he himself chooses. Any anything he comes across, he quickly controls. Loguteotwn is going to exacerbate his issues a thousandfold. Where they were once mild, now they decidedly aren't. Wrong texture, wrong sound, suspect atmosphere? It'd be agony. He used observation Haki almost passively before, but in Loguetown observation haki is what he relied on to give himself a desperate last silver of control; the ability to sense the horrors coming before they did. That way he was at least prepared. So when he gets out, a survivors' hyper-vigilance is conflated with the superhuman nature of the observation Haki. Hell, it's like a fucking drug. And the effects would be the same as a drug, both dulling and enhancing. He gets the input of the Haki, which gets him jittery and raw with the sheer sensations he's processing in bulk. But when the first rush of that dulls, and if there is no true danger, he goes numb from the over-stimulation. Wash rinse and repeat, until he's throwing up with it. And he wouldn't stop. So yeah. Hm. I don't think Mihawk would be deliberately controlling, at least not of personal effects, because the very notion of controlling Shanks or forcing him into something he is not comfortable with would utterly repulse him, given what him and Shanks went through. However, he'd try to control Shanks' physical circumstances. Anything that involves Shanks or concerns him, things he's doing, places he's going, plans he's making, he'd have a hand and an eye in. Which brings it's own type of problems, when Shanks wants something done one way and Mihawk thinks it the best for Shanks' safety that it's done this way, and neither budge, since despite how deeply they are hooked in eaach other, they are still separate people. And when Mihawk does try to control Shanks' in a more personal way, (because it does happen, just unwittingly) it's because Mihawk has got shoved back so deep in the past that he's reverting to his nineteen year-old-self, where the only type of control he had was telling Shanks to brush his hair or blow his nose properly. Shanks experiencing that type of control from Mihawk is near horrifying, because of how much it mimics the actions of their former captors. Because Mihawk is never forcefully controlling of Shanks, unless during episodes like this. So he'd distance himself from Mihawk, which makes Mihawk think of the times they'd part Shanks from him, and he'd react even more strongly, and both go deeper down the rabbit hole until the cycle manages to break. (Shanks indulges Mihawk's natural fussing until times like these, when he recoils from it instead) On the flip side, Shanks would rally against Mihawk's standards, he'd think Mihawk was being too severe or being too rigid, trying too hard or working himself too hard, telling Mihawk to come out of his shell, that things do not always have to be perfect, have to be foolproof, screaming at him that apparently doesn't Mihawk trust him to do/choose anything, and why does he act this way? Why do things have to be so so so perfect? Fighting with Mihawk over the little things Mihawk has control over/makes decisions about, like yes, clothes and food and the color of something, Mihawk's suggestions and opinions over clothes and music and books ( and if Luffy is there, they fight over him.) needs pt.2

the whole time we've known him Law's feelings have never been about what he says. his way of dealing with what he's been through is to play his true feelings/intentions extremely close to the chest, he's almost always verbally brusque even when his actions blatantly negate that projection of coldness. Think about the way he responded when Robin came down to say something nice to him on the Sunny (idr if it was immediately before or after dressrosa now, it feels like a lifetime ago lmfao). He SMILED at her. and held her gaze for moment, let the kindness and camaraderie settle in the silence between them...and then told her to shut up. lmfao. he knew she would understand, and she did, and that was enough.

saying rude things that appear to keep everyone at arm's length is his brand, he's been around in the series doing it for like a decade now. think about nearly all of his interactions with Luffy. They bicker, they yell at each other, Law stares into space over his head and grits his teeth and talks about how unreliable and stupid he is...and trusts him with his life. and believes in him and his heart and his abilities implicitly. that's a big deal for someone with like...THE trust issues of all time.

it's literally never about what he's saying, it's about the actions he takes in follow-up. when Law has really detested someone in-series, he either ignores them entirely or gets vicious. outside of his crew, like...the more he likes them, the more he's willing to trust them with his dry humor and his contrarian behavior...bc he trusts that they'll understand him.

also, take into account, that because he respects Luffy, respects the Strawhats as equals, (Kid and his crew, though he'd likely die before admitting to it), he knows that whatever happens from here, they're going into the endgame. the race for the one piece is different now that they've fully cast off the relics of the past era. One of them is a yonkou, they ALL have bounties in the billions, the stakes have never been higher. nobody is playing pretend pirates on a safe sea, and they're all diverging back into semi-separate versions of this adventure again.

Law, finally fully free of his own past, has to reel back into his role of captain, and rejoin his crew, for that purpose. it's time to go.

if he really, truly didn't feel anything for Chopper in this moment, he would have just ignored him. but that isn't the case! as a doctor, he respects Chopper's dedication to their field. as a person, he respects him as a friend, and as the captain of the Heart Pirates, he respects Chopper as a member of Luffy's crew.

so, within a very complicated moment, here at the end of one era and the cusp of another, the Big Scary Pirate Captain Trafalgar D. Water Law acknowledges a comrade that he's leaving for a while with a brusque, deflected display of emotion. One we've seen him use with at least six other people he loves and respects at this point.

he tells Chopper to shut up.

he's saying goodbye in his own way, in a way he trusts his little friend to understand.

If you could relive any memory of your past, what would it be?

god this is a hard question. there's so many directions i could go with this????like?

firstly. my biggest interest is actually my OCs, and the story they exist in started as a dream that i had in 2009 when i was 13. i started writing the dream down as soon as i woke up, but my sister tried talking to me before i finished and i forgot how it ended. if i could re-live that memory it'd breathe new life and a lot of clarifying direction into the current version of the story even WITHOUT the pieces i never was able to hold on to, but i'd get those back too.

second option? i would relive one of my best days. some terrible things happened to me the winter of 2020-2021 and i think being able to exist in my own brain from a time before that would have an amazing positive impact on my ability to heal. which like, for that i'd be choosing between a) opening night of the musical that my husband art @cuartist and i wrote & produced at our old high school (their senior year, the year after i graduated) b) the trip me and art took to visit our best friend cam @canis-la-trans right before we dated him for a year, which is also the first time we met aries @freckliephil and rowan @asterlark in person—and that's my FAMILY that's my soulmates!!!! or c) either the day dan howell came out IMMEDIATELY before i got on an airplane to visit @freckliephil or the several days later (i had a first half of my trip elsewhere) when we got to get so stupidly fucking stoned and scream our hearts out about how right we were.

but also like in a third entirely different direction: i'd relive meeting my husband. you'd think this was a romantic answer and i guess it technically is but it's actually because neither of us knows when we met and i'd love to have an answer to that question. we went to a k-12 (public) school from when i was 7 and they were less than a month to turning 7 onwards and i already knew he existed by the time i was 9. so what fucking gives.

yes we've known eachother 20 years. but we were nemises for at least the first 8. probably closer to 9.

ummmmmmm god. i love being strategic. i think that choosing the 2017 memory would have the best overall impact on me in the present. but the one i'd most want to choose is the 2009 memory for my story. if this was actually possible for me i'd bring it to a council of my friends for their input.

The Guru Re-watch

I enjoyed this episode a lot more than the last one for 2 key reasons

DANGEROUS LADIES

I've calmed down a tiny little bit from how mad I am about Jet, I just have to move on (but I never truly will)

Let's talk about Zuzu first. I don't have much to say about him in this episode (for once) other than that I agree with @theowritesfiction that Positive! Zuko is unsettling. Reminds me of the brainwashed Joo Dees. I don't like this Zuko.

Oh wait, let me make everything about Azula like I always do real quick - this version of Zuko isn't the real Zuko just like Canadian! Azula wouldn't be the "real" (or at least not the healthiest fullest version) of Azula (& nice teashop Zuko & Canadian over apologetic Azula are very comparable in my opinion.)

Anyway.

I loved Sokka & Hakoda's soft interactions in this episode.

I really love the moment when Hakoda says "Sokka, you don't have to prove anything to me. I'm already proud of you and I've always known you're a great warrior."

Also, we've got Aang & his Guru journey learning about chakras. I've always found all the chakra talk a bit confusing but fascinating, so here's a piece of the transcript partially for my own context.

Aang: So chakras are pools of spiraling energy in our bodies?

Pathik: Exactly. If nothing else were around, this creek would flow pure and clear. However, life is messy, and things tend to fall in the creek. And then what happens?

Aang The creek can't flow?

Pathik Yes. But, if we open the ponds between the pools ... [He removes moss blocking the exit for the water.]

Aang: The energy flows! [The water that was blocked by the moss becomes clear. Aang and Pathik smile at each other.]

Next, we learn about the four chakras & watch Aang open them through visions & meditation (& onion & banana juice.) Aang struggles to overcome his shame for burning Katara, his guilt over leaving the world behind, & his fear of facing Ozai. The visions are an interesting exploration of Aang's internal struggles & we do see a lot of growth from how he was at the start of the series - largely in denial about anything he might need to overcome & reluctant to acknowledge or embrace his responsibility. Aang has grown immensely as a character & this is a good episode for him....Until we get to the part where I have some Controversial Tm opinions.

Pathik: The Thought Chakra is located at the crown of the head. It deals with pure cosmic energy and is blocked by earthly attachment.

Aang: What? Why would I let go of Katara? I love her!

Pathik: Learn to let her go, or you cannot let the pure cosmic energy flow in from the universe.

Much like "The Fortuneteller" this is a strong setup for Aang to overcome his unreciprocated feelings for Katara and the show takes it in another direction. I would have really liked to see this show subvert expectations & show Aang overcoming his feelings for Katara. That's just how I feel. It's a disappointment to me that he just leaves when he's so close to unlocking all the chakras.

Anyway, Katara!!! She is so cute in this episode. I mean, always, but like - she takes Momo to tea! She asks for a table for 2! She jokes during a war meeting that they could send Momo to do some damage because he's knocking over the models! I just adore her.

Katara also recognizes Azula from looking into her eyes & I'm not kidding - we get a Zoom in of Azula's eyes sparkling, then a close-up of Katara's shocked expression of recognition. Before anyone forgets that this is an Azutara blog, I'm collecting those breadcrumbs where I can!

Also, this episode is great because we get to see Azula's genius & devious plans unfolding & we get to see the Dangerous Ladies being an iconic trio. +1000 iconic behavior points each for the Dangerous Ladies. (also I am not even remotely keeping track of these points anymore I'll have to count them up at the end so it'll be interesting to see who wins lol!) We even get some domestic Dangerous Ladies content with them talking & cleaning their Kyoshi Warrior makeup.

Okay now that I completely spoiled myself on Miraculous Ladybug Season 5 I will say this in the least spoilery way possible.

First of all, I'm sorry I got back into the shoujo spiderman kids show. I read adult comics for grown ups sometimes but I can't for the life of me watch things geared toward my own age unless it involves lo-fi baking or sanding down a desk, so I end up getting into stuff like this. I am an enigma. I blame my addiction to shoujo comics I very legally found online as a teen. If you don't want to see me talking about the ladyboog and/or the catenoow just add #miraculous ladybug and #ml to your filter list since I'll use those when entering the cringe teen drama zone.

Second of all if you are like me and spoiled yourself rotten don't take the ml bible for granted as everything that will happen. It's an interesting read, especially the segments that discusses earlier seasons, it confirmed a lot of what I assumed but never outright stated (for example the fact that Adrien before season 5 never let go of his and Marinette's first encounter and worried that Marinette is so awkward around him because she still doesn't like him...and other things. very told ya moments in this chilis)

But its not everything. It's a skeleton, meant to ensure accuracy between episodes, not a novel. Even with all that the leaks give it's still only 10% of what we've seen of season 5. There's more to an episode than the equivalent of a short two sentence wiki page. It's like basing a game on a walkthrough before it even releases.

Don't get me wrong, there are some big spoilers in there, and if you don't like certain plot points that will happen, that's fine! In fact there's one in there right now that still baffles me...But again, we're basing our judgment on a wikipedia page instead of the complete piece.

Besides, even though the bible said it was updated end of season 5, it doesn't mean 100% that it was updated after the season was finished writing. There are things that could still change.

Anyway I just would like to watch my cringe teen shoujo spiderman show in peace, its not worth boiling my head in a pot over it. A lot of shows/pieces of media I can get so attached to I can literally make myself sick overthinking it (don't ask me why,) Mircaulous Ladybug is one of the few shows I can relax to and not stress about the quality. I am immune to things like "this show's writing is bad," and "this [character that's just been introduced or doesn't have a lot of screen time] has zero development and is useless," and "my version of this show is better I can fix it."

Ive been in the fandom since the vine days and let me just say that I don’t understand why Sam has never been shipped with ANYONE except Colby pre-Katrina. They would go to these creator things and it was always what viner is next to Colby, never Sam. There was one girl who was their friend and waaay cuddlier with Sam but people only saw Colby. Even before he introduced kat you’d catch her in the back of peoples videos and postings and people suspected but didnt care. Once he did introduce her people didnt like her, but again the attention wasnt as big until they moved into the traphouse because he barely showed her at all. I know Sam is closed off but i feel he hold more tea than Colby so can we manifest chaos from Sam lol because what is that boy really about.

idk if this will make sense, but the air of mystery that colby seems to have is actually very much present with sam. sam is mysterious, colby just claims to be, you know what i mean? while a lot of the stuff i know about colby isn't the full story, i can at least maybe piece some stuff together, make some assumptions that sound close to reality, and come up with a non-canon version of him in my head, so to speak. but sam…. different ball game. that man is a phantom. you don't see him coming or going. i know literally nothing about him, and it is quite infuriating.

that being said, i don't even know what chaotic sam would look like. cause even drunk sam isn't that crazy. sure, he dances on tables or joins twerking competitions mid-cruise, but none of that is really all that crazy. i was saying this to someone not too long ago, but i don't even think that man has done any hard drugs. like, the worse drug he's probably taken is when he broke his back. i don't think this man even smokes weed! he's probably tried it once or twice, but like… that's it.

i know you're more asking about his dating life, but if i were to make an assumption about his overall personal life: i think sam is closed off bc he doesn't know who he is. i think he's never really been in touch with his emotions, which is something he's tweeted about a couple times before, and bc of that he doesn't really know how to express himself. i think he wants others to like him a lot, so for years he's tried to fit in a box that marks off what ppl expect from him. and when he himself grows tired of that box, he tries to find a new one that fits the newer image ppl want him to be.

i think that's why sometimes some of the things he says can seem a bit out of place. like prime example is when he's talked about wanting to move to mexico and just go learn the language naturally, or just randomly leave and go to a different country and surround himself in the culture. while those are great aspirations to have, he never includes colby or kat in those travels. he's doing them solo, without them. and that feels… weird. or in the worst way, selfish. bc we're so used to him being in a duo situation, whether it's snc or him and kat. he's always with someone. and we've been told again and again that he's a good friend and he's a good boyfriend. but a good friend or boyfriend wouldn't just up and leave their best friend or girlfriend behind. but, i don't think in these situations he's being selfish. i think this is him actually expressing himself for the first time outside of the box we think he checks off.

weirdly, and i was just thinking about this as i was writing this out, while colby loves being by himself and getting his alone time away from ppl, he can't actually be alone. he wouldn't be able to survive being completely alone. i mean, even just living in a different apartment almost sent him into a hermit spiral. that man wouldn't get off his couch for days sometimes, and that in itself is a topic for a whole other ask. but sam, i legitimately believe, could go live on his own away from everyone he cares about and be fine. i honestly think if he did that, it might put a lot of things into perspective for him. maybe he realize how deeply he cares for the ppl around him, or how maybe their opinions matter more than the others he's been trying to please.

and as for his love life, prior to kat of course, idk. that's even more shrouded in mystery than his actual personality so… god knows what he was like.

Chapter Two

June 28th, 1997

Las Vegas

Charlotte

" I know that things are going wrong for me. You gotta listen to my words. Heirs of a cold war that's what we've become. Inheriting troubles, I'm mentally numb. Crazy, I just cannot bear I'm living with something that just isn't fair. Mental wounds not healing. Who and what's to blame? I'm going off the rails on a crazy train. " 

The show has been over for a good half hour but I love going out on the stage when no one's here and singing a little something. One day, God willing, I'll be playing for large crowds just like my dad. I even dream about it at least twice a week. Maybe even more now that I'm on the road.

No complaints here since this is the first breath of freedom I've gotten ever. After being stuck in Florida and then Michigan for the last four years of college, it's refreshing to be traveling around. Especially when I get to spend sibling time with Jack and Kelly. I really wish my mom would have had more kids than me. It would have been nice to have what they have.

" Hey. That sounded good. Just like him actually. " I hear from behind me and almost jump out of my skin in fright. 

Feeling my face heat up I say, " thanks... I didn't know you were listening. " 

I know deep inside he's resisting the urge to laugh at the look on my face. " I was and I can't wait to hear more. I also saw you out there tonight. You were really rocking when we went on. " 

" You were ON. " I say with a shrug.

He cracks a smile. " I even caught you singing along. Never would have thought that you were a fan. "  

" I'm insulted. Ozzfest isn't the first time I've seen you on stage. You guys usually put on a great show. " I compliment truthfully. " When you aren't literally cutting yourself open that is. "

His smile widens at my words. " The first time I didn't actually set out to cut myself. Someone threw a broken bottle and it was spur of the moment. After that... I guess I just wanted to keep up the shock value of it. "

Marilyn

" Not gonna lie, when I first saw it, I was worried. " She says as she puts a piece of hair behind her ear.

I love it when girls do that. It's an easy giveaway as to whether they're interested or not. Not that I'm looking or anything. It's just nice to know I have this kind of effect on such a beautiful woman. That she'd even be worried about my well-being without even knowing me yet.

" It looked really deep. Do you get stitches after? "

Pursing my lips I lift my shirt to reveal the scars that litter my stomach and chest. " Nah, but they do hurt like a bitch for at least a few weeks after. "

It looks like she's having an inner fight about what she wants to say to that. " I don't mean to sound judgemental... But what exactly do you get out of it besides pain and scars? "

I don't think she'd ever understand if I did explain. No one would. So she'll have to settle for a watered-down version. 

" Every artist worth their weight in cocaine is willing to suffer for their art. " I tell her shrugging before pulling my shirt back down. 

Before I can stop or talk myself out of it, I ask, " so... You gonna hang out with me tonight? "

Charlotte

As if I'd say no. " Sure. I just need to get my jumper from the bus. "

" Hurry. I'm too sober for my own good. " I hear him call out.

I chuckle as I enter the warm bus. It's crazy how Las Vegas can be so hot during the day and then so chilly at night. Grabbing my jumper, I pull it over my head. Going over to the full-length mirror I straighten my hair and reapply my lipstick. 

" You were great tonight dad. Everyone was actually. " I say as I make sure the rest of my makeup is holding up.

Dad, who's painting at the table, looks up and says, " thanks, Schroeder. Where are you off to? " 

" I'm hanging with Manson and the band tonight. " I tell him with a smile.

Kelly pops out of nowhere and wraps her arms around my waist." Can I come? " 

" Sorry sis, " I say while removing her arms. " We're going to a club where there's going to be drinking and illicit drug use I'm sure. " 

She frowns and I know one of her famous attitudes is roaring its ugly head. You know who's to blame though? Marilyn. He made her his new best friend and now she wants to do whatever he does. Not really a good thing. I know he has been dying to get out and have some adult fun soo she'll get over it. He loves hanging with Kelly and Jack, but it can't be a good look for his rocker reputation to always have kids around. No matter how cool they are.

But a smokin' hot blonde? Always in style.

" We'll do something fun before we leave Vegas. " I promise just to avoid her shenanigans. 

Her expression goes from bratty to excited in five seconds. " Promise? "

" Me too? " She and Jack both say at the same time.

I couldn't just take one and not the other. What kind of sister does he think I am?

" Yes, and yes. " I say before going to lean over and kiss dad on the cheek. " Don't wait up old man. "

Waving me off he says, " have fun, Schroeder. Don't do anything I wouldn't do. "

" That doesn't leave a lot of things that I shouldn't do. " I say with a huge smile.

Sharon laughs having caught the last part of our conversation as she walks into the bus. " Go on darling, Marilyn's waiting. You know better than to keep rock stars from their partying."

" Okay, I'll see you all for breakfast. " I say as I walk down the four steps and open the door.

I step down on the asphalt and just as I'm closing the door I hear, " yeah right. There's no way we're seeing her before noon. I know how Manson likes to party. "

Looking at Marilyn, I know he heard too. Laughing he shakes his head and wraps an arm around my shoulders. " We'll see about having you up before two. I'm surprised Kelly didn't get dragged out while hanging on your leg. "

" I had to bribe her and Jack with doing something fun tomorrow. " I say chuckling.

He laughs along. " She's a fun kid, they both are... " He says before stooping in front of me with an evil look on his face. " But tonight we're doing things a bit more age-appropriate. "

Can I just say that I don't like that evil look? It's like he knows what's going to happen even before it does. Shrugging it off, we head over to a pretty little Jaguar.

" Come on, we're getting shots. " He says while pulling me through the sea of dancing bodies to the bar.

I can't help but look all around. The atmosphere is crazy here. I'm such a noob when it comes to this stuff. Marilyn seems right at home though. After ordering, he hands me a double shot and I swallow it quickly without asking what it is. 

Big mistake.

Making a sick face he laughs at me. Pulling him down to my level, I yell in his ear, " I've been nice to you, why would you want to kill me "?

He laughs and I go to order something to get the nasty taste out of my mouth. Before I can, he's already handing me a beer. Taking a long drink I look back up at him.

" What was that? " I ask once the taste is gone.

It tasted like battery acid. 

" Absinthe. Come on. Let's find the cool table. " He says in my ear before leading me over to an empty corner.

Pulling out a little baggie of white powder he empties out some onto a small compact mirror he pulled from his pocket. " Let's really start the fun. "

" I don't know. I'm already feeling the absinthe. " I say not lying in the slightest but also knowing I've never done blow.

Not to mention if my Dad were to ever find out... He doesn't speak highly of cocaine at all. Sure he has done enough for ten people in his lifetime, but that's how he knows that he doesn't want it for his kids. 

" Then it won't make a difference if you do a line or two with me. " He reasons with a charming smirk.

... However, I am twenty-two and need to make my own mistakes. " Okay. " I say throwing caution to the wind. " I suppose one won't hurt me. "

Famous last words. 

" I knew there was a reason that I liked you. " He says as he separates the white powder into two identical lines on the compact.

Putting the tip of a straw into his nose, he leans down and snorts one of the lines. Holding his left nostril he holds the straw out to me. Taking it I mimic what he did and regret it instantly as the powder burns through my nasal cavity. Three seconds later the burn is replaced by numbness.

" That's gross. " I say as I feel the powder liquefying in my nose.

He laughs and pulls my legs up into his lap. " You get used to it. " 

Yeah, right. " I don't know how. " 

" Just give it a few minutes and you'll see how. " He says as he takes off one of my heels and starts rubbing my foot.

I don't know if it's the drug or what, but his hands feel like pure silk on my already hurting tootsie. " I shouldn't have worn heels. " 

" Yes, you should have. I have a reputation to maintain, you know? " He says before running his index finger down the bottom of my foot.

My whole body jerks trying to get away from his finger. " That tickles! " I say as I damn near climbing him like a tree.

" Watch it, blondie. " Marilyn chides as my jumper opens a bit more revealing more of my barely there bralette. " A man could get the wrong idea. "

Laughing I get off of him and attempt to sit back but end up laying flat on the long seat. He shakes his head and pulls me back up till our faces are inches apart. " If you get the wrong idea, it's because you're thinking the wrong things. " I blurt out.

" Oh, I'm thinking all the wrong things right now. " He groans.

And just like that, my panties are soaked. Well played, Manson, well played. Does he do this for fun or is it just natural?

" Naughty, Mr. Manson! " I say giggling like an idiot.

Putting his lips next to my ear he says, " I can have you creaming for me in under two minutes ".

I debate my response when we're interrupted. 

" I thought I'd find you in your favorite corner. " 

Turning my head away from him I see THE Johnny Depp standing in front of us. 

" Hey man! " Manson says before getting up and embracing the actor. 

Johnny eyes me when they pull apart. " Who's your friend? " 

" This is Charlotte Osbourne. " Marilyn introduces. " She's Ozzy's daughter. Charlotte, this is Johnny Depp. "

Holding my hand out I say, " Hi, it's nice to meet you ". 

" Likewise! " He says taking my hand in his and placing a kiss on the back of it. " What are we drinking? " 

Marilyn's on his feet in seconds. " I'll get us a round of shots. " 

" No! " Both Johnny and I insist. 

Johnny damn near forces Manson to sit back down. " I'll get us some shots. Be right back. "

Laughing at his back, I see he has learned the hard way as well. Manson just sits in his spot looking like a scolded child. Smiling wide I poke him in his cheek. He playfully bites at my finger making me laugh again. 

I look at him and he does something that damn near takes my breath away. He smiles. Not just a superficial smile that he has been plastering on his face all day and night, but a real genuine smile. 

Wow. 

Time stands still for both of us. It feels as if a magnet is pulling our faces together slowly but surely. Our lips get about an inch away from each other when Johnny returns with drinks in hand. 

" Alrighty. One absinthe, and two rums. " Johnny says completely unaware of what he just interrupted. 

Reluctantly, we both sit back in our seats. Damn, Johnny. I was sooo close to kissing the lips that I've been looking at all night. I don't even care if it means messing up both of our lipsticks. 

Manson and I down our shots quickly and it's just now that Johnny notices the tension. 

" Did I interrupt something? " He asks in confusion.

I look at Manson who's looking at me as well. I imagine my cheeks are just as red as his at this moment.  

" Where are the rest of the band? " Johnny asks trying to bring us back around to talking.

" Off somewhere wreaking havoc. I didn't want them to ruin our night. " Manson says shrugging. 

I laugh at that hard for no real reason. Leaning in, Marilyn says, " you're feeling it now huh? "

Now that he mentions it... Yes, I am feeling it. I laugh again and bump shoulders with him.

" Don't tell me you have already started the real party without me. " Johnny asks in a mock hurt tone. 

Marilyn cracks a smile. " As if I knew you were going to show up. " 

" Excuses. " Johnny continues to joke. 

Going into his pocket, Marilyn pulls out the baggie with the cocaine in it. " Well... You can always join us for the next. " 

Johnny grins evilly and we all do a line together. I hate to say it, but he was right. The second one burned less than the first. After that and many more shots of rum, time became a blur of laughs and off-beat dancing.

When we get back to Marilyn's tour bus he helps me up the stairs. Trust me, I need the extra help. I'm honestly lucky to be upright at this point.

We're about to head back to his bunk when we hear, " Are you serious? You went and got Ozzy's daughter shit-faced? " 

We turn around to find the one called Twiggy standing by the kitchenette looking at us like we committed murder. I crack up at the look which makes him glare at Marilyn harder. 

" What's the problem? " Marilyn asks while wrapping his arm around my shoulders. " This here is a legal adult female. "

Deciding not to let him take his bandmate's judgment I chime in. " I'm twenty-two, not twelve. Besides, my dad knows where I went and with who. " 

He rolls his eyes but has nothing else to say. We then head back to his bunk like we were originally heading before he interrupted us. Once there Marilyn starts going about what must be his nightly routine. He pulls out a bag of makeup removal wipes and begins wiping his face. Passing the wipes to me I do the same.

" Do you have a hair tie? " I ask him when my face is free of makeup.

He takes one of the ties off of his wrist and hands it to me. Leaning over, I finger-brush my hair into a high pony. I just then notice how hot I am when I feel the cool air hit the sweat on the back of my neck. He takes his shirt off and throws it haphazardly behind him. Which does nothing for how hot I am at the moment. He's really good-looking for someone who thinks he's not. Scars and all.

Removing my jumper, I hear an almost inaudible gasp behind me. I feel one of his large palms on my lower back and his breath on the back of my neck. " Your skin is so milky and soft. "

" Let me sleep in one of your shirts? " I ask over my shoulder with a shy smile.

Reluctantly, he moves away and starts digging in his suitcase. He picks one of his longer shirts with the devil printed on the front.

" Thanks. " I say when he hands it to me.

I shimmy out of my pants and fold them before setting them on top of the suitcase. Unhooking my bralette, I look up at him and wink. He's sitting in his bunk, eyes wide as I pull it from my chest and feel the cool air hit my nipples.

" Damn. You're fucking beautiful. " He damn near whispers.

I feel my cheeks redden under his intense gaze. My insides quiver and my lady parts flutter. I've never really dated around or entertained a man in this way before. Nor has a man ever made me feel these kinds of things.

After letting him look at my mostly naked body for a few moments, I slide his shirt over my head and pull it down. " You're not so bad yourself. "

" Come here. " He says as he gets under the blankets.

I can see his hard-on through his boxers just as he covers himself with the blanket. Is that really all it takes to get him going? A little naked tittie action? Good to know. 

When he's situated he lifts them for me to slide in next to him. " Hold on. " He says before sliding his arm under my knees and switching sides on the bunk so that I'm facing the wall.

I turn onto my side and pull the blankets up to my shoulder before scooting closer to him. Reaching his arm out, he pulls me into his chest. Damn. He was talking about my skin being soft, but his is like a baby's.

Just before I'm about to fall asleep, I ask, " you know the time "?

" When we came in it was close to four. " He mumbles.

Okay, so I might not make it for breakfast after all. Lunch. Lunch is better. The second most important meal of the day.

" Thanks for taking me out with you tonight. I had fun. " I yawn out. 

" Me too. I guess blondes really do have more fun. " He jokes while stroking my hair. 

I giggle into his chest. " Do blondes usually get you up like that? " I ask as I lift the blanket up to look at his erection that hasn't gone down in the slightest. 

" Honey, you just showed me your perfect body in all its naked splendor. Any man would rise to the occasion. " He says as he smoothes the blanket back down over his lower half. " A lady wouldn't have mentioned it. " 

I laugh harder. " Maybe... It's hard to ignore though. " 

" Stop trying to take advantage of me, Charlotte. " He huffs out in mock aggravation. 

Once I stop laughing the bus quiets down again and I settle back into his chest. " Goodnight, Manson. " 

" Goodnight, Blondie. " He sighs out already half asleep.

Almost fully mobilized on all the heavy highway and we have all the residential going we have a prefab plant going in and we tried to fly it in and we couldn't so bring it in pieces it's already built and stuff well it's sort of built the warehouses are there no but we have a slab up and we'll have it up in a few hours and put all the stuff on it then we just start building it's just a warehouse and it won't take long and we will have the prefab facility up today and that's terrific and we'll start making the pads it's a couple of new housing projects about 200 more each one has about 3,000 homes. We have more projects coming down the pike a lot of heavy highway like 1500 more and he's looking at them now and we're getting rolling and this place is a pain in the ass but he says we can start on a few more and anticipate half those and we have special projects we've been talking about for quite a while meeting places, and restaurants and more hotels and it says before he gets community wants to see what will happen when it drops this is that'll be a year from now it'll be too late to do anything and this beefed up foundations are per engineering requirements they'll just redo it we're doing them too so whatever so there's all this area where it's not going to drop and we calculate and show them why this is good and won't drop at all really because it's not this Lane that's pressurized as much as the golf itself it does pressurize a little but there's a huge shelf and it's all Stone you show them it's the edge of the water if you go down to the ledge or Rock as it were a lot of it is actually this limestone and it's harder than hell and solid and very thick so 10 miles thick to the next grouping of other stuff and it won't move and the other stuff is hard too it's underneath it so going forward with it and we are starting to get more projects and he says that we can build about 200 more and their hotels on the waterfront and he wants to know about this Margaritaville that's our version and we showed him the plan so we're sending it over. And we have other buildings a couple of Disney and he says it's a good time to get attention there no but so he says seriously it's not a bad idea just trying to Disney hotel it's got a lot picked out and an area and he wants a little gaming in it and try his hand and stuff and it's figured out something it's not a bad idea so it's going to go for a gaming permit and people want to challenge him. Do we have other projects restaurants and distribution centers and he says he's going to approve them probably another 30,000 projects and today and other work all over the place so go ahead with it and he hears you doing what about the Chinese motorcycles is it going to hold off what about recycled motorcycle company for civilian version of the same thing sometimes cops would ride the cop bike and then ride the Harley it says I've had enough of this s*** why don't you shut up. So it says okay and so I'm saying we're going to go ahead with that and you have to pick where so he says we should let Max decide. And I agree with that mac daddy says so go ahead with that too. Right now our son is a little bit upset cuz he wants to move out while this event is happening and forcing Tommy have to do that stuff is one thing it's a pain in the ass it's very dangerous and these people are very contankerous they really need to see a viewpoint of life and he wants to go up there and dislodge smog and it really hasn't happened it'll be hell but at least it would be something to do he says it's really boredom and frustration and he's being mentally tortured on purpose I want people to give him a break and he needs a break from here so he doesn't get drowned okay or worse this is a huge possible flood and we need to move in things so we might not be able to so we need to use common sense.

Breaking down the MarkCU

So, I was thinking right? And I know he told us not to care BUT there's a reason I follow Mathew Pathew and this is gonna be long. Was gonna post this into the Member's discord first, but realized quickly I needed more space to draft this out.

Rein's actual attempt at piecing together the Lore, for real this time. Regarding the Paradox, Space, and all things MCU. Heavy Spoilers, and keep in mind I haven't completed Heist, but did go to Dark and Warf for research.

First things first timeline. Space runs parallel with all times at all times, it's just a matter of distance from Space's time. Engi at the end, and Warf's *whole* encounter both confirm this in Pt 2.

Now that we've confirmed that, let's talk about what we learned in Space regarding the characters we see. - Some characters Mark play are the same person, but not all of them, and there are several "Core" Marks that take different personalities, Engi, Warf, and Damien. Now Mark if you see this this is a small point I'm making I don't really care which order the characters are in, don't be disappointed in me dad -We can *safely* assume that the DA, Y/N, and Cap'n are all the same person, because of how Mark spoke in the breakdown stream- We each, individually are our own version of all 3 characters, thus they are all the same.

Mark's "Actor isn't Engi, but Engi could be Actor actually makes a lot more sense with this information, and it ultimately completes the timeloop. We saw thru Pt2 that some of Mark's alternates forget about his being Engi Mark, until Cap'n reminds him of what's going on. It seems to be related to distance traveled, and, we know Cap'n forgets some of this too. How? Well, let's start at ground zero, the ending of Space, just before the choice. Mark mentions a fake hand, which means Cap'n has let go at least once, because Old Mark has a fake hand at the end of Pt 1. Cap'n on the Inv 2 has already forgotten everything that happened, and continues to forget everything until they have the determination and task to focus on. When we meet Cap'n, they're already very divorced from their own reality. Camp Mark seems to be the start of Mark being goal-oriented on stopping the Cap'n and rebuilding the Core.

Cool. How does this relate to Actor? Actor is *likely* within the first or second Let Go attempt. How do we know this? His suicide attempts. Engi Mark has gotten familiar with the idea of offing himself to reset- but has not yet grasped the idea of the consequences of a thousand new universes. He landed in a time and place that wouldn't be useful to that goal- not good enough tech for deep-space travel. First attempt he comes back to the same dimension, which means that some version of the Warp Core must be near by- likely hidden in the Mannor. Very likely the Entity. Mark doesn't understand how he's coming back to life, but not going back to the Invincible, so he keeps trying, while also maintaining some sort of relationship with the alternate versions of his friends who have no idea what's going on. The depression and Celine's betrayal likely just rolls into the attempts and the plan, and all of a sudden, who rolls into town? Cap'n. DA. Actor at this point is not very far at all from his initial landing zone, and probably recognizes what's going on far more than we do. So he starts his plan to escape from the loop and stop the Cap'n by way of WKM. WKM ends with DA/Cap'n trapped in a mirror, and Dark loose on the streets, with a heart for vengeance and a passion for chaos. I generally like to think that Damien happens as the neck crack happens, and Damien takes up the role of Villain. Here's the thing, right? I'm inclined to think that Dark gained DA's memories at this point, recalling Old Mark's "The Hero! Versus the Villain!" back on Inv 1, sets about finding the thing that'll take him straight to Mark- the Warp Core and its crystal. He traps DA in the Mirror because DA/Y/N/Cap'n is the only one who can stop him. Cue Heist, we've gotten a new body and a Mark to get the crystal with. We have no idea what's going on, but Actor is trying desperately to use our skills as Cap'n to help him get to the crystal to get to the Invincible, or rebuild the Warp Core. We meet Dark, who ends up with the box and does the whole speech, and now owns the one thing that he needs to persist his existence. He has become the antagonist Engi Mark thought there was, and Actor wanted so badly.

Dark likely uses the crystal to go back in time, and taint the Manor, effectively trapping Actor in an infinite loop. Actor, after probably dying again and being sent to his own respawn point, realizes that time isn't moving around Y/N, and starts working behind the scenes to get space travel moving, dying of old age again and again and again, coming back to center and getting closer to reaching the advances for deepspace travel.

Dark gets the second crystal from the timeloop, and anonymously donates or somehow gets it into the hands of Actor's space program. Now Old Mark gets everything together, hires him-young-self (who who knows, might be one of his descendants because of the throw-away line in Date, if Celine took the kids), tells himself to trust who he chooses as Cap'n unconditionally. Tells New Engi Mark2 all of the stories that Actor has put us through. Space happens, Cap'n holds on this time, and yeets the crystal right into Dark's hands. We've saved Engi and our colonists! In the most round-about way possible, and have absolutely doomed Actor to an infinite run-around with Dark. Our Warf gradually begins to figure out what is happening to and around his home, steadily coming to realize he and his friends are trapped in a loop, and the whole unraveling story between Actor and Dark are opened to him as he travels through time himself and meets Cap'n and all our other parts, completely out of order. He tries to fix things himself- Dark's only threat is the wildcard who's hopping around and murdering important people for Actor's progress into Space. But there's always someone else to push forward. Warf fairly easily breaks out of the loop since he grew up in the house and is used to navigating the timey-wimey nonsense. On onehand, Warf knows what can fix things, on the other hand, he'll loose one if not both of his best friends if he actually defeats Dark and stops the loop outside the loop. So he lets Cap'n yeet the gem, lets us keep going about our round-trip through Space, until he or we can find a solution, or Dark slips up.
