Are we ready to talk about a bedding ceremony with the Stark men? ARE WE READY-?! Oh my-š„“ I think the boys wouldn't be happy about the prospect of sharing the view š« but, but, BUT the sounds are something else š
OOOOOOOH UR TICKLING MY BRAIN RN. phew ok lemme calm down
shoot me but i feel like cregan would be a bit indifferent about it. one one hand, itās tradition & he knows itās pretty expected of you both, since cregan is lord of winterfell. but on the other hand, cregan wants everyone to respect you just as much as they respect him, & he doesnāt wish to strip you of your dignity. i feel like heād seek out a conversation with you about it to see what you want to do. if you agree to it/donāt mind it, then heāll tolerate it for your sake. but if you donāt want to, heās quick to shut it down. anyone that has a problem with it can take it up with the complaints department (ice).
robb would be more leaning towards the idea of a bedding ceremony i think. it honestly depends on which time in his life youāre getting married. if youāre getting married at winterfell before everything happened ā heās still got that boyish kind of view about life, so he would lean more towards having one. if you got married during the war, there wouldnāt even be a ceremony š but if you got married like after the war (the starks won au or smth) he would be against it. however, if you really wanted one, you could talk him into it. anyways, regardless of the time in his life, if you didnāt want one he wouldnāt force it on you, and he would certainly never make you feel bad about it.
jon would definitely be against it. for him, marriage (& āthe actā) is super personal. in his opinion itās sacred, and he wouldnāt ever put you up as a spectacle for others to see. heād definitely plan you consummating the marriage strategically, waiting until everyoneās too drunk to notice you both have left. northmen drink hard, and theyāll be too busy arm wrestling & throwing up on each other to busy themselves with the fact that you both have risen from your seats, and jon has a hand on the small of your back leading you to your chambers. and honestly, i could see yāall not having an entire ceremony too. maybe going for something small in the godswoodā¦ iām not sure. i can really see it going either way tbh.

When HotD got out everyone was like Oh, Daemyra is the new, improved Jonerys with good storyline
And I didnāt give it too much attention, you know I stay mostly in my line and donāt mess around with shit that doesnāt interest me (like Jonerys) but now that I think of itā¦
Iāll do you all one better (and maybe I am late at the party as always, because I canāt be the only one noticing this)
Jonsa is the reversed, evolved, less entitled (both Jon and Sansa start as spoiled characters but have their entitlement beaten out of them pretty soon, and we love them for it), more duty-oriented (thank you Ned) Daemyra.
I mean all signs point in that direction and I see you š GRRM pushing the Jonsa agenda further on!
And now Iāll tell you what sources I have to base my logic on (and maybe I am wrong ey, but I think it fits Jonsa more, as of now, though Martin could totally disprove me going the other way confronted to the way the show concluded knowing his ending).
So, at the beginning of the story, Robb becomes king in the North by popular demand.
In the first episode Viserys becomes heir (and later king) by popular demand.
Both Robb and Viserys inherit their position by their much beloved predecessor (Jaehaerys and Ned) and both are ānamed/appointedā by a conclave of lords/ladies in the Riverlands ffs.
Both Viserys and Robb end up planting, with their own politics, the seeds of the shit storm that almost threatens to destroy their family after their death.
Robb marries Jeyne (Talisa in the show) instead of the Frey betrothed thus snubbing the Freys and going back on his word. He dies without an heir leaving the North in shambles when he had been a step from winning the war.
Viserys names Rhaenyra heir and then ā instead of marrying the Velaryon girl ā marries Alicent and has more children knowing that if they were male it could cause disrupt with the line of succession.
Both are idolised after their death ā Viserys taking the name of The Peaceful thanks to the ruling and politics of his Queen and council and Robb by being sanctified by his siblings and lords even tho he was the one causing most of the problems who caused his death and almost destroyed the North ā both Viserys and Robb loose their heirs.
Viserys loses his sons by Aemma
Robb dies childless and his heirs (Bran, Rickon, Sansa and Arya) are to his knowledge lost (Bran and Rickon presumed killed, Arya presumed dead and Sansa married to a Lannister).
The heir that remains them, their younger brother/sister (Daemon and Sansa) is not considered worthy of inheriting after them ā Daemon for his character and Sansa because she has been married to a Lannister ā so both do the same thing, they disinherit their lawful and rightful heir (yes Bran and Rickon and Arya are alive but Robb doesnāt know it; Viserys will have Aegon, Aemond, Daeron and Helaena but he doesnāt know nor care) to name another as heir someone who, by law, should pass after the rightful heir.
It seems to me like some pretty big parallels here.
Daemon = Sansa
Daemon and Sansa are the second born children of a couple who love each other and apparently their motherā fav.
And you know whatās sick? Daemon and Sansa both supported their brotherā right to any extent.
Daemon readied men-at-arms and sworn swords to defend Viserysā claim when people rumoured Corlys wanted to assemble a fleet to defend Laenorā right after Rhaenys.
Sansa bled for the northern independence when in KL and then later ā and this is only show for now ā Sansa gathered the northern army and put KL under siege to defend her brother. Sansa is the one who decided to rally the lords of the North behind House Stark once again (Jon was done fighting) and she was the one to offer Bran the role of Lord of WF when he returned from Beyond the Wall.
Despite being loyal to their family in their own way, both Daemon and Sansa are disinherited by their king in favor of someone they love but that by law should have come after them.
By succession tradition and law the brother of a king becomes before the daughter of a king ā unless women can inherit the throne which was not the case in Westeros at the time ā so Daemon came before Rhaenyra in the line of succession, yet Viserys disinherited him to name Rhaenyra heir.
By law and tradition of succession Sansa as the trueborn eldest surviving daughter of Ned and Cat in the evenience of Robb dying without heirs (Bran and Rickon are both presumed dead) comes before Jon, the base born son of Ned Stark. (Jon himself says so āby law Winterfell belongs to my sister, Sansaā/āWinterfell belongs to my sister, Sansaā, even though Sansa is a Lannister, a murderess and apparently dissolved in thin air) yet Robb with his will disinherit Sansa to name Jon heir.
Everyone expected Daemon/Sansa to be angry at Jon/Rhaenyra because of it ā Rhaenyra herself and the viewer when Jon was named KitN ā instead what happened?
Daemon became Rhaenyraā stauncher supporter and Sansa became Jonās. Daemon supported Rhaenyra and Sansa supported Jon. When people expected Daemon to lash out when the terms of surrender were issued, he obeyed Rhaenyra order without issue; when the northern lords unsatisfied with Jonā stay in Dragonstone offered the crown to Sansa, Sansa refused and defended Jonās claim. All she did in s8 was to defend Jonās claim to the North and the Realm.
And you know what else is incredible?
Daemon is suspected to have ācausedā his first wifeā death and his second wife died in childbirth. Rhea Royce died after a fall from horseback ā in the show Daemon kills her, but in the book she dies of the wounds later on, as the hit to the head might have caused her delayed death. Still Daemon is suspected to have caused it ā the horse to unseat Rhea ā and tried to inherit his wifeā keep.
Sansa ācausedā her first betrothed, Joffreyā death, by telling the truth to Olenna and Margaery which spurned them to have him killed at his own wedding feast. Sansa escapes and her first husband is almost killed for the crime ā almost making her a widow.
Both Daemon and Sansa are more skilled than their counterpart in their competence. Daemon is the most skilled warrior of his time, Sansa has learned politics from the best and worst in it.
Daemon finds himself at odds with his brother with the war of the stepstones and Sansa finds herself at odds with her brother whilst in KL as she has to navigate and survive the southern court and Joffrey.
Yet both return to their brother in the end, Sansa by remaining true to her Stark identity (āI am not your daughter, I am the Lord Eddard and lady Catelynās daughter. The blood of Winterfellā/ āwhat if it is truth he wants and justice for his lady?ā) and Daemon by winning and giving the crown to his brother.
Sansa wins the battle of bastards through her alliance with the Knights of the Vale and lets her brother take the crown.
Sansa and Daemon are both described as beautiful, charming and dashing. But Daemon is mercurial and Sansa is called a witch for her apparent part in Joffreyā death.
Both Daemon and Sansa are advisors in their capacity to their brother/king though they have to clamor to be recognised any degree of validity. Sansa has to fight to gain the right to be Jonās advisor even if he chooses Davos as chief advisor as Viserys chose Otto.
Daemonās children are the one who inherit the Iron throne after the DotD. Sansaās children will inherit WF and the North after asoiaf is done.
Jon = Rhaenyra
Jon and Rhaenyra are the odd ones out of this.
Rhaenyra knew her place, she prayed for a brother to inherit the Iron throne just like Jon would have died to defend Robb or any of his siblings (and in the book he does die for fakeArya). But both are ambitious.
Rhaenyra accepts she will be queen and makes of it her identity; Jon dreamed of become Lord of Winterfell before he knew what that entailed.
Both Rhaenyra and Jon expect that their orders ā despite their intentions ā will be followed, even when they go against hundreds of years of tradition. Rhaenyra as Queen and Jon believes the NW will follow to war against the Boltons when the NW has been neutral for thousand of years. And both pay the ultimate price for it. Death.
Jon is killed by his sworn brothers, Rhaenyra is killed by her brotherās dragon.
Both Rhaenyra and Jon have the temper of their family but they control it for the most part. It takes really big things for it to be spiked. Lukeās death for example.
Both Rhaenyra and Jon are intertwined with fake relationships. Both cause the death of their first lover/spouse.
Rhaenyra marries Laenor to keep the Velaryon in her corner, Laenor who is a gay man ā in the book she is much less understanding of it btw ā and their relationship is fake and her children arenāt his. In the show she loves him platonically, though I donāt remember that being the case in the book. In the end, whether his death is faked or not, Rhaenyra causes that. Either by having him killed ā as they say in the book ā or by having him fake his death to marry Daemon to strengthen her claim.
Jon has a āfakeā relationship with Ygritte (you know what I think of her in the book) to make sure his undercover mission is accomplished. In the end Jonā mission is accomplished and even though he āfell in love with herā he still left her and the war between them ended up claiming her life.
After the death of the heir ā Balon and Bran and Rickon ā Rhaenyra and Jon are both raised to the role of heir by their king with a decree that disinherited/snubbed the previous law-ful heir (Sansa/Daemon).
At the same time, Viserys/Robb have other heirs. Viserys marries and has sons (who have sons), Rickon and Bran are both alive though presumed dead who could end up threatening Jonās claim once the will becomes active after Jonā return from the dead.
They have sexual tension with the snubbed heir and value them as advisors though they donāt always agree with their politics.
Jon feels that Sansaā opinion demeans him before the Lords ā tho he names her regent ā and Rhaenyra distrust Daemon not to declare war without her say-so.
And yet both Jon and Rhaenyra gain the ripe of Sansa and Daemonā loyalty.
Even if Jon and Sansa donāt always see eye to eye, Sansa loyalty to Jon is what gets him out of KL alive, without Daemonā skills as warrior Rhaenyraā war would have ended long before it started.
Sansa and Daemon both are against Jon and Rhaenyra to surrender their crown, and work to keep the other half in their role.
And you know what? Thereās more.
Gifts giving ā belonging to a House
Daemon and Sansa both have something that defines their belonging to House Stark.
Sansaās wolf-bit and Daemonā sword ā which, do I have to go down the sexual metaphor about Sansaā bosom and Daemonā sword? ā and both whilst speaking of heirs/reading to war to defend the claim to the crown gift the other half something that signifies their belonging to the House as well.
Rhaenyraā necklace and Jonās cloak. Both items which Rhaenyra and Jon puts on and basically keeps on for ever ā like it was a fucking joke how long Jon kept the cloak on even on Dragonstone āalso Rhaenyra necklace resembles a chain (chain of command) and same with Jonās cloak stripes (which resemble a chain of command).
Rhaenyra confronts Daemon about her being named heir ā and perhaps weāll have something similar in the books for Jon and Sansa. Tho we have something akin to that when Arya confronts Sansa about Jon having the crown and Sansa liking the attention.
Yet both Sansa and Daemon stand strong in their loyalty to Jon above anyone else.
Protecting ā destroying some of the earliest and greatest threats the other claim
Vaemond is one of the earliest threats to Rhaenyra rule, just as we know LF has been playing against Jon all along, yet both Sansa and Daemon defend the other half by killing the offender.
Arya and Bran serve as the Viserys in the comparison, because itās Sansa who passes the sentence (as Arya herself points out) the same way as Daemon is the one who decided to kill Vaemond instead of letting Viserys order of having his tongue removed to be carried out.
Thus removing the earliest threat to the other oneā.
Also, both Daemon and Sansa destroyed indirectly or directly another threat to Jon and Rhaenyra by killing Aemond and Daenerys who had the attitude (both of them) of destroying the Realm to take the Iron throne if needed. Aemond would not have taken Aegonā claim from him but if Aegon had died of his wounds before Rhaenyra was executed, with Maelor and Jaehaerys dead Aemond stood the greatest threat to Rhaenyra. Daemon killed Aemond and Sansa plotted to have the truth about Daenerys uncovered and indirectly causing her death through Jon.
Supporting the other as ruler
Daemon becomes Rhaenyra supporter just as Sansa becomes Jonās. Even as snubbed heirs they love the new heir and when the time comes they are there, by their side, defending them.
Also, never forget that Sansa/Daemon are always on the side of the consort when it comes to Jon/Rhaenyra whilst that is not true for other characters, who are always afforded place of importance, but not that of the consort.
When Corlys comments on Viserys lack of action in the Stepstones Daemon replies that he can speak of his brother how he well wishes but that is not the truth for others. Similarly Sansa defends Jon (āheās our king, heās doing what he thinks bestā) even tho she shares the lords preoccupations.
Despite not always seeing eye to eye with Daemon, he is a trusted advisor to Rhaenyra who listens to him. In the same way, despite feeling the need of Sansaā validation, Sansa is his trusted advisor to the point Jon entrusts the whole of the North to her.
So, yeah, I raise you the Daemyra is the Targaryen version of Jonsa, with Daemon and Rhaenyra being worse people than Jon and Sansa are combined. By ey, thereās a dark streak to the Starks not to be underestimated.

Even if we assume that Rhaegar married Lyanna, does their marriage would be considered valid? In the show Gilly and Sam got to know about marriage through the some records. Is it possible in books too? What do you think?
Well, I canāt say that any of D&Dās decisions made sense in hindsight, and I donāt know how any evidence would be presented and sufficient enough to convince Westeros as a whole that Jon was Rhaegarās ālegitimateā child, but all that aside, this is the all-important book quote:
"Likely they were too shy to come out," Ned jested. He could feel the chill coming up the stairs, a cold breath from deep within the earth. "Kings are a rare sight in the north."
Robert snorted. "More likely they were hiding under the snow. Snow, Ned!" The king put one hand on the wall to steady himself as they descended. (AGOT, Eddard I)
Thatās compelling evidence that Martin intended Jon to be a Targaryen heir (ātrue born" in some capacity) from the beginning of the story. Sure, Robb and Bran become kings, we'll have several kings springing up in the North, but the "hiding under the snow. Snow, Ned" is (imo) unarguably a reference to Ned hiding Jon's identity by claiming him as his bastard (Snow). And the idea conveyed is that Ned is hiding a king. (@sherlokiness has several posts about additional wordplay around this, specifically the Jon and Joffrey, bastard and prince stuff).
As the series goes on, we get additional king references for Jon, and people have argued that it's KitN foreshadowing, and maybe, maybe that's what happens, but this passage, way back in AGOT, indicates that it is Jon's bastardy (hiding under the snow) that secrets the king. Not that he will eventually be chosen as one, but that he is one by virtue of his birth.
I donāt much care either way. Iāve pointed out that Jon being a bastard and going up against a true born is a fun progression of his bastard issues as is finding out heās a trueborn and hating it/rejecting it because of what Rhaegar and Aerys did to the Starks. Either way, itās juicy! There are things to explore. So, Iād just remind people, this spec isnāt about any specific bloggers hopes, or relying on GoT, it exists because of Martinās words. And even if we find it offensive or think it goes against the later worldbuilding, there are lines in the book that indicate itās potentially what Martin was planning way back when.
Now, I don't know why on Earth D&D bothered to write tangible proof of Jon's legitimacy in s7 when they totally neglected to do anything politically in s8 that would require that? Maybe keeping their options open if they needed to prolong the series? But I find it difficult to believe there will be a specific document that would be universally recognized as evidence of his legitimacy because Rhaegar was already married and had an heir. So, even if Martin wrote in a marriage for the sake of playing with the secret prince / heir to a dynasty idea for the readerās sake, that doesnāt mean happy acceptance in-world. Iāve said the same about Robbās will, it matters more what the Northern Lords say, how they weigh their competing interests and the threats theyāre facing, rather than the specific words Robb wrote. Also, we have Aegon and Dany, so even if R/L were married and there was proof, after two other Targs pop up and war over the throne, I can't see people being moved by that? I would think they'd be sick of Targs no matter how sure people were about Jonās identity.
Although, I could see the Northerners believing Jon is Rhaegar's son because a) they all already know Rhaegar kidnapped Lyanna and b) it doesn't really make sense for Ned to have fathered a bastard, so once Bran breaks it to Jon and/or Howland confirms it, I think they'll accept it because it would feel possible? Feel true? And obviously, we would know itās true. So if this is about the Northen tangle, we don't need much. Actually, I just realized some people might spread it to try to undermine Jon/the Starks. š
I often just see these things as having a lot of potential paths and not knowing which direction is more appealing to Martin. He likes "the human heart in conflict with itself" so Jon being offered his dearest wish (being a legitimate son of Ned Stark) only for that to be absolute hell because he's falling in love with the man's daughter, well, that might be fun for him to write. But then comes R+L=J, and if he wants to be with Sansa, Jon needs that information to come out. If he's rejected Winterfell when Stannis offered it, rejected Winterfell even though Robb wanted him to take it, if he then can press his (Targ) legitimacy without displacing a beloved family member and in doing so, it might allow him to be with Sansa? Thatās an angle. Or if he is KitN, heād be highly motivated to keep that a secret for the sake of stability in the North, regardless of his feelingsā¦.I really canāt say. And I donāt remember anything in Samās chapters that made me think heād find a diary, although the fact that Jon is forcing him to do something he doesnāt want to do makes the idea that he finds something and runs, potentially screwing Jon over kinda interesting. Actually, itās always been a favored idea that he plays a hand in Jon rising to another position of power because of his part in getting Jon to be Lord Commander, so there is that! I guess I need to reread AFFC the whole series with a list of my new questions. š

I would totally read a Robb Stark story just sayingš
glad to hear it!! š¤ anything in particular youād like to read?
With Robb, Iāve already thought about scenarios where reader is maybe like Cerceiās maid or a maid of the Freyās (maybe even the Frey daughter Robb has to marry; I love me some good enemies to lovers) or the reader growing up in Winterfell, maybe being of lesser nobility and her and Robb having a best friends to lovers storyline ā¦
What do you think? š

Ohhh 19 and 20? š
19 A theory youāve adopted as canon
apart from the 'obvious' ones like r+l=j or lyanna=knight of the laughing tree or sarella=alleras i like the theory that rowan is one of umber's daughters that was once kidnapped by the free folk!
it's exciting to me because it explains some of rowan's otherwise weird dialogue (who is stark for her as freefolk) and attitudes, i love the parallels/contrasts of fate this creates with rowan-theon and the layers it adds to her hate and distaste of him, and it's asoiaf theorising at its best for me, because it relies on very close and attentive reading, love for details, what you earn at the end is a little easter egg that is not necessarily relevant for the overall story, but improves one's daydreaming!
20 A theory you pray never comes true
looking at only the most popular theories one that i particularly dislike and that depresses me are the varied theories on dany's inevitable downfall/becoming a villain/inevitable self-made tragedy. truly there is no way for me to imagine this story, no matter how 'well-written' and 'carefully paced', as something that could be meaningful or interesting to me. i also have never once ever read a version of this theory (or rather: interpretation & commentary on the already written text that lead people to this theory) that did not rely on assumptions about victimhood/survival/women/motherhood/violence/slavery/racism/colonialism/etc that i found breathtakingly terrible.
another very popular one i'm not that into is the great northern conspiracy, i mean i don't mislike the idea that robb named jon his heir, and it is obvious that some of stannis' and roose's "allies" are kind of... playing a complicated game and there's lots of machinations going on, but the concept of there being this super tight network of clearly coordinated movement between all northern parties (except the "alien"/bad boltons) for the sake of stark power is not that interesting to me. maybe i feel that the underlying concept of this relies on the romantics of the starks as feudal exception (the good house that has a true heroic magical personal hold onto their always loyal lands and peoples) which i understand the appeal of but personally i'm just not super into. also some of my reading of theon includes that theon is a bit of a sacrificial piece for the north to unload their divisions onto: they all can agree he's the turncloak who deserves to be tortured, at least, something that derives its power because the north is not unified. also it's important to me that the boltons, too, are the north.
a minor-ish theory i have particular distaste towards is missandei being a faceless man

But there may be some alliances made along the way at the right price, that is if the King of the North is willing to share or even give just a little of his darling.
Care to elaborate what's this mean š
Maybe there are some possible poly relationships in the making? Maybe if some certain admirers (platonic or romantic) are completely and utterly loyal and devoted to the darling as Robb is, people he can for sure trust his darling too, maybe theyāll get some much deserved rewards. Whether that be them getting the chance to see the darling if they werenāt allowed to before, or getting to spend even more time with the darling than they already get to. Maybe depending on just how deep their love and devotion for the darling goes, Robb may just be generous enough to allow them a taste of his darling. Maybe.
But the last one is only really for whoever he deems the most trustworthy and competent for his darling. And of course the darling has to at least have some kind of positive interactions with and or a form of relationship with the admirer. Heād never put them in a situation with someone they werenāt comfortable with or had any negative feelings about. It should also be mentioned that Robb doesnāt just trust anyone when it comes to his obsession. Everyone has to earn their place in the darlingās life, no matter who. Even Robb had to earn his place, hell heās still earning it and probably will be for the rest of his life. He obviously wouldnāt want to be replaced by anyone else.

What if instead of going to the wall Robert orders Jon to join the kings guard cause he can see how attached/motherly Stev is to him and he wants to make his sister happy to make up for all the years of being a bad brother. He definitely knows Stev is not Jon's mother and is mad at Ned for letting that rumor continue but there's just something familiar about Jon that Robert can't place. Ned is internally freaking out and Cat has mixed emotions about the situation cause it looks like Stev acknowledging Jon as hers. Jaime takes Jon under his wing and treats him like a son, kinda like what Arthur Dayne did for him. Jon now has the family he always wanted with a loving and accepting mother and father. Their kids adore Jon. Stev and Jaime have kids of their own and maybe their eldest falls in love with Jon or maybe Robb or even both, or even Robert's daughter falls in love with Jon ? The drama š
!!!!!!!!!
I AM HERE FOR THIS!
Jon needs some love thank you very much
can you imagine the drama hehe

- Jonās gonna have to fight the wildings [he joins emš]
- Danaerys is going to get a ship a sail across the sea to sail to Westeros and present herself as heir to the iron throne as the only Targaryen (bc she has more dragons and that means she has a better claim than some 10 year old with anger management issues) (my bad 12 year old) [still wrong about the age but itās okay š]

- Cersei and Jamie will have a special punishment but Iām not quite sure what it is [nah not yet, also I mean I wouldnāt say it was a special punishment]

Trash magic? š all the Wips sound interesting!
Aaaaaah, Trash Magic, as everything I write, it's Thramsay haha, I definitely have talk about this waaaaaay too much times lmao but I love this concept I made, it goes like this:
First, TW: prostitution (not Theon's or Ramsay's, someone else's)
Theon is a mess of human being like on all my fics lol, and he gets a new job on a hotel, he's basically the person that tells everyone where is their room and things like that, right? And then, we have that Theon and Robb are besties, like, suuuuper friends, and all cool.
Buuuuut, Robb has some self-destructive behavior, but in a veeeeery different way from Theon, since he's always under pression and stress, he needs some relieve, something to feel free even if it's for a little time, so, he whores himself to anyone
So, Theon and Robb have a deal: Theon will always have a room ready in the hotel at weekends nights for Robb to use with his clients.
They don't know that Ramsay is the owner of the hotel šš so, Ramsay hears that there's a new "whore" working there, and goes to see Robb Stark (Robb doesn't know Ramsay tho). Ramsay pays for a night and goes to Theon asking for the special room, Theon has to idea what he means and gets into a fight with Ramsay because he thinks he's making fun of him or something like that.
I'm not gonna say more hahaha but you all can imagine how it's going to go lololol and yeah, it's completely Thramsay (maybe I'm gonna put a glimpse of Ramsay/Robb and Robb/Roose, yk, to spice a bit haha, it's still on discussion)

2. Do you have a personal favourite among your OCs?
6. Two OCs of yours that look alike despite not being related?
23. Introduce OC that has changed from your first idea concerning what the character would be like?
42. Which one of your OCs would be the most interested in Greek gods?
Thank you for the ask, my beloved!
2. No offense to the next-generation of Stark/Snows/Lannisters that I would literally kill for, but I think it has to be Chatty. He's an OC that pops up in a lot of fics, and it is so fun to have readers see a cat interact with Myrcella and them be like ".... š are we getting a Chatty sighting in this one?". He's got so much personality, an unswerving devotion to Myrcella & the best love hate relationship with Robb and I just LOVE him.
6. Oh hmm so I often right my fab fours offspring so there's usually similar appearances etc but in terms of two who are not related it would be Lya (Jon & Ygritte's daughter) from when ties become knots and Joey (Myrcella & Trystane's daughter) from I say that I want to control this (but deep down I hope that it's hopeless) both have similar coloring & dark brown curly hair. They're features are a bit different & their eye color but they are probably the most similar that don't share any parents.
23. Hmm I don't know that there are any? I feel like I've always got a pretty good handle on the personalities of the kids when I get started and change their personalities based on their parents/upbringing/sibling situation. They often grow in some way during the fic but not necessarily in a way I wouldn't have expected.
42. Oh hmmm other than Chatty? (lol)... I think probably Will in All the Same. The kids in that fic are maybe my favorite that I've ever written, but he has 'tragic hero' written all over him (though nothing will happen to him in that story bc he is my little baby), and I think the Greek gods would have enjoyed cursing him and taking him on quests and all the rest. He's just so good and so capable and has such a strong sense of right and wrong & protectiveness, they'd be bound to want to ruin him.

So from what I remember only Bran could warg in the TV show. But in the books, I believe it was implied that most Stark children could warg (whether they did it consciously or not). Please correct me if I'm wrong about this.
There's also been a mention in your story that Sansa had a dream about her direwolf Lady. Does that mean that she might slowly, but surely develop warging abilities in this new timeline? š
Ciao @wolfanddragon98!,
You remember correctly. In the show they make us believe that only Bran could warg. Instead in the books all Starks can at different levels warg at least inside their direwolves.
The main difference should be ā but I am not truly that good with lore as many others fans, so correct me if I am wrong ā that Bran is an extremely potent warg and can thus warg in many different life-forms even in humans (see Hodor), whilst the others are not as capable as him.
Robb dying possibly warged into Grey Wind, as, as he laid dying he whispered the direwolf's name. Direwolf who died himself, otherwise Robb could end up living in Grey Wind's conscience for the rest of the direwolf's life.
Jon warged into Ghost for sure as he laid dying, but Ghost is still alive and that tether to Ghost is the only thing keeping Jon āaliveā right now, and will possibly enable him to return to his own body, for however changed he might be.
Arya keeps having wolf-dreams, in which she is Nymeria. It's Nymeria who finds Catelyn's Stark's mutilated body in the rivers and drags her ashore ā for her to be later returned as Lady Stoneheart ā and Arya keeps having wolf-dreams even as she trains as a Faceless assassin acolyte. Her bound with Nymeria never fully severed.
We don't have a Rickon POV, but we know that Shaggy Dog reacted to his moods like Summer did with Bran, Ghost with Jon and Lady with Sansa and Nymeria with Arya and Grey Wind with Robb. So it stands to reason he himself (who is under the tutelage of the Skagosi and a wildling) might learn to control his warging. My little feral prince.
Sansa keeps having wolf-dreams even after Lady has died, which makes me think that something of the same nature happened to them as well when Ned killed Lady. Their bond was still fresh and they had not yet dipped into it, but the fact that Sansa keeps dreaming of Lady and running together with her, to me and many others, make think that some piece of Lady's conscience might still be with Sansa, as if naturally the bond between them as enabled a part of Lady to survive through Sansa (as I've theorized in my Sansa/Young Griff story).
So yeah, in the books all Starks children can warg at the very least in their own direwolf, whilst Bran can warg in almost anything that moves and breathes, if I understand it all correctly, which I may not.
So, yeah, in my story whilst Sansa was being transported back in time she finds herself running with Lady beneath the fronds of a Godswood, because that's something Sansa does in canon and actually there are several metas written by much more knowledgeable people than me in the lore of asoiaf about Sansa's wolf dreams and what they might mean, as well as for the other Starks (this is one of them x, by @stormcloudrising which I found amazing, btw).
Suffice to say, all Starks have for sure warging abilities, some of them (or all of them) might have also green-seerer abilities (Bran for sure, Rickon possibly as he dreamed of Ned being killed, Sansa also very possibly, Jon almost for sure as I think that he foresaw himself and not Uncle Benjen lying dying in the snow just he misconstrued his vision, maybe even Robb did, and because of that he was such a proficient strategist, Arya also could have the same abilities... though again I am not as knowledgeable on the matter).

@inspireswarā says āI want you to bring me peace. You must right the wrong that was done to me.ā for jon from ghost!lyanna maybe š
Heās having the dream again. Standing at the top of the long slow slope of the crypts, the Kings of Winter looming over him. At the end heāll find Father, and Robb, heās had this dream often enough to know it.Ā
Only... this doesnāt feel like a dream. He can smell the crypts this time, damp and wet, and the pain... His chest, back, and abdomen sting, and the front of his doublet is wet. He grimaces and presses a hand to his abdomen. Itās hot and sticky, and his hand comes away red. Blood. His blood. He looks up at the faces around him, searching for an answer and finding none. It hurts, a whimper rises up in his throat. This - this has to be a dream, it must be but then -Ā
The crying. For a moment he thinks itās him, but - but no... itās farther away, and itās a woman.Ā
āA-Arya?!ā
The boltons had her didnāt they? Could she be hiding down here? He takes a painful step forward, then another. He has to find her, he- he has to get her out of here. Ignoring the pain and the blood he moves foward, past the Kings of Winter, through the Lords of Winterfell. Down, down, down, right to the end, past Lord Rickard, and his Uncle Brandon, to the only statue in the crypt of a woman. There, in front of it, stands a figure in a tattered, blood stained night dress, long hair stringy and matted with sweat. The woman. No. The girl for she canāt be much older then 15 or 16 - has it really been that long? No... No this isnāt Arya. He takes another painful step forward, looking up at the statue the girl stands in front of, itās her.Ā
āA-aunt Lyanna?ā He manages, his words strained through the pain.Ā āThe wrong - right the - right the wrong?ā
Why is she asking him? Sheās been dead near as long as heās been alive. King Robert had avenged her long ago, on the trident. He doesnāt understand what sheās asking of him, and the pain in his side is starting to creep through him. He wants to rest, to sink to the feet of this statue and sleep until the pain is gone, but he forces himself to try to stay present.Ā
āWh-why are you here?ā He manages, using a hand in a vain attempt to stem some of the blood flow. His grey eyes flick to the statue to Lyannaās left, Lord Eddard, heād have answers wouldnāt he? But the statue is cold stone, offering no answers. He squeezes his eyes shut and looks at the tattered form in front of him. āWh-why am I here? Wh-what happened?ā

Iām caving to @orangeflavoryawp and giving everyone some insight to my Robb lives au, that once again is still in VERY early planning stages.
So hereās a few general thoughts:
-I have thought about Robb surviving, one way or another, for ages and it is something that has sat in my āfic ideasā document since I started writing Jonsa. With all my Jonsa WIPs being completed for the first time in ages, itās been something Iāve been mulling over recently.
-I think I mentioned this before but Robbās survival would create an ungodly amount of logistical nightmares for Westeros and when I start plotting out ideas Iām always left with HOW and WHY some things would play out.
-Now as for why I want to pursue this, I think Robbās death is a key factor for a lot of what happens later in GOT and it affects all the remaining Starks profoundly, so of course that makes it a juicy idea to explore, which is what Iām kind of looking for at the moment. Something to challenge me creatively! Robb is an interesting character to me and Iād like to explore him more, I feel like his memory features heavily in a lot of my fics but how about changing that dynamic up? Also the indulgence of reunions that never happenedā¦of course.
-Then, you know Iām not going to write something without Jonsaā¦obviously. Thatās where things get even more dicey, no spoilers of course, but I do have some thoughts on how Jonsa will play out pretty well, and Iām willing to say it would be in a way that Iāve never actually written Jonsa before, so thatās interesting! Jonsa is not my concern though lol, itās more of the politics I am still playing around with.
-Also, if Robb lives, well that opens up otherā¦issues. All Iāll say is that I intend for the Tyrell family to be pretty heavily involved in this AU. š
-Lastly, and I feel that Iāve done well giving some insights to this without giving away ideas or main plot points so far, but Iāll say outright, my intention would 100% be that if Robb lives, Cat is not dying either, and I ADORE Cat, but you know that there will beā¦conflict, ahem, Jonsa.
Anyway, I know a lot of you have been expressing interest in the Robb Lives AU as Iāve been calling it so I hope this maybe gives you some insights, if you have any comments or questions or honestly advice on how you think Robb surviving might change things in Westeros just let me know. Iāve never really posted a lot about my fic writing process before so this was fun to write out! No promise on when this will actually get published but Iām itching to write Jonsa again so hopefully sooner rather than later!
