Silesia- no Ilyanna's bloodied form stood before him. Meer moments ago the blonde haired, crimson eyed pirate had saved him from an attacker, now his brown haired green eyed sister stood before him.

“Ilyanna...?” Anduin whispered, voice hoarse from shock.

She had blood dripping from her mouth still, and yet she still joked, “Suprised brother?” Ilyanna looked at him for a moment, and gave a smile despite how tired and aching she was. She stepped forwards towards her half-brother before she was forced to sit by her bleeding body.

“Ilyanna... I thought- Father said you had-”

“Died?” she interrupted, well, yeah, kinda did. Killed this,” she hissed as she gestured to herself, “at least. Father may have been good ta ya two, but for meh well- I was nothin' more than a disappointment in his eyes. The nobles always said that I had been cursed from being born in Duskwood. I'd bet meh best daggers he'd been the one to start dose whispers.”

“Ilya...” Anduin said, reaching to swipe away the blood that had been dribbling from her lips, and reached for a health potion as he whispered to her, “How did you... Change yourself? Why did you change yourself?”

Ilyanna drank the potion for a moment before replying, “How? Illusion magic. Why? Same reason why ya wear that dingy old cloak. Ta hide. Ta run. Ta learn how ta live again.”

21. Do you prefer writing chaptered fics or one-shots? One-shots feel much more manageable. I tend to get overwhelmed by chaptered fics (see: All I Want Is You and Break You But You'll Mend, both of which have intimidated me into writer's block for about 18 months now) unless they're relatively short. I tend to do one-shots instead, which may then expand into series, but there's less pressure to sustain a coherent, continuing story (I am terrible at plot, so that's the main reason...)

57. How conscious are you about including symbolism or foreshadowing in your fics? Oh man, I am nowhere near that clever. Very occasionally I manage to include something that foreshadows canon events - some of my fics set between the events of the Hobbit and LotR include things like Legolas musing on the fate of the One Ring (probably washed down the Anduin and out to sea by now, he thinks, obliviously), but for actual events occurring later in the story? I don't know what's going to happen later until I've written it, as a general rule, by which point it's rather late.

79. Do you have any writing advice you want to share? Write what you want. Write what makes you happy. Don't worry about anyone else, don't worry about stats or hits or kudos or comments because that way lies madness (very few people get much of a significant reaction, really). Enjoy yourself. Oh, and nobody reading this needs to use epithets (the brown-haired man, etc etc). Use names and pronouns and you'll be fine - it doesn't matter if it's repetitive, it'll still sound much more natural than any epithet. Write as though the POV character is telling you the story, and if they wouldn't say it, don't write it (but if they would: 'my beloved', 'his husband', 'her beautiful golden-haired wife' etc - it's usually something about the other person's relationship to the POV character, and those are natural and absolutely OK). It's a slightly complicated thing to explain, as with most of these things, much like the pirate code, more like guidelines - but at least 90% of the time it's much better to use 'he' or 'John' (or whatever the character is called of course :D )

What is your favorite OTP?

It is SUCH a hard decision between Wranduin and Illithas. SO I’LL ANSWER FOR BOTH.

2. Why is OTP your OTP?

Illidan x Kael’thas - a lot because of circumstances. Kael’thas goes to Illidan for help, and Illidan offers an alternative for what Kael’thas is asking. Kael already likes him, because he is helping. He wants to spend more time with him. Illidan has just left prison, after thousands and thousands of years of torture and emotional neglect. And who better to get affection from than a twink prince of blood elves.

Wrathion x Anduin - because I love the idea that Wrathion is just infatuated with Anduin. The infatuation quickly grew into love but he was just enamored with the prince Anduin. Anduin was sassy and intelligent in Pandaria, and it seemed he had met his match when it came to bickering and strategy. When Wrathion returns after living Anduin all this time, he quickly becomes heartbroken, thinking Anduin hates him and wants nothing to do with him besides help with N’Zoth (completely understandable) and when Anduin proves to him it’s not the case, it’s so damn sweet. He stays in Stormwind, going to Sillithus, but still going to see Anduin.

3. Does this OTP fit any tropes?

Illithad - Oh, god. Bratty little prince x serious leader, if that exists? Polar opposites? Short boyfriend x tall boyfriend.

Wranduin - *slams hands on table* Friends to enemies to lovers. Law enforcement x war criminal. Dark x light. Immortal x mortal. Red x blue. Childhood friends. Forbidden love.

Character headcanon asks:

Who is your favorite character(s)? Why?

Oh, god, so many. SO MANY.

Illidan Stormrage, Arthas Menethil, Wrathion, Anduin Wrynn, Genn Greymane.

Illidan is just a huge and burly smug demon who needs love and loves antagonizing people. Perfect manz.

Arthas is literally the same but Wendy’s frosty.

Wrathion is literally the love of my life and he is a brat and he is gorgeous and pompous and I just adore him. He also has fabulous eyelashes and I love his little cocked eyebrow smile.

Anduin is suffering and a sweet conflicted boy.

Genn is suffering too and has been suffering for years.

4. Do you have to change the timelines for your au or headcanon?

So, with Blacksage, yeah, a lot. A lot of Wrathion’s time is occupied by his daughter. He also goes into being a pirate and sails the Kalimdorian, Southern, and Northrend seas. He takes Bee with him. He is also trans. That took up time too.

Not really, unless you count Genn having a string of homosexual lovers as changing the timeline.

Anduin is also trans and that took up some time. But not really.

Illidan having Darion and splitting between him and Amaris took up a lot. A lot shifts with Darion. But Darion doesn’t really come around til Legion for him.

The Scarlet Captain and Lion.

The Red velvet shade of Red blew with such grace and beauty, the Phoenix’s Fury was a marvelous ship and was the ship of Captain Tyroi.

Anduin Awoke tied with his behind his back and tied to the Ship’s mast, a Blade pointed at his Neck digging into his soft smooth skin, as he looked up he saw an Elf with long curly Red velvet Red with glowing Green eyes and a Charming Smile. “Mr.Wrynn, I knew I would’ve found Ye a eventual did you forget you’re my “captive” she smirked and pressed the blade further into his neck. “Did you honestly thin diving head first would grant ya safe passage to freedom or stupidity?” She taunted than frowned “I’ll be sure to think of a good Punishment for you, Human!” She frowned.

A Strange Acquaintance

While trying to vanish from Stormwind, Anduin got caught in an ambush and saved by an odd, insufferable pirate. Now he's both injured and stuck on her ship. Light help him.

Warnings: mainly dialogue lol, and some cussing

“'ere princey, uer of no use to me dead.” the strange half-elf pirate said as she tossed a roll of old bandages to Anduin. He looked at it for a moment, uncertain that it would do any good to his wounds, and slightly grossed out. Just how old are these?

“I'm a priest. I can heal myself, y'know.” Anduin snapped and tossed the roll back at her. “Well, don't see you doin' that now, do I?” Anduin rolled his eyes at her and struggled to stand as the ship suddenly rocked to the left hard. “Why did you help me anyways? I thought the Blood Sail Buccaneers didn't leave anyone alive after their attacks?” the pirate walked towards him and shoved him to the floor, taking bandaging him up into her own hands, “Well, it wadn't a Bloodsail attack, and like I said, uer o' no use to me dead. Can't exactly ransom back a dead prince. I mean I can but-”

“King.”

“Cover uer mouth when ye sneeze, I ain't in the habit of gettin sick.” Anduin slapped her hands away, suddenly feeling claustrophobic. “My father died years ago. I'm king.” the elf could only look at him for a moment, an odd look coming over her face before she threw the bandage at his face and returned to her place across the steerage. “Even better. We can get more.” The two glared at each other for a minute, crimson eyes burning into blue ones before the pirate once again snapped at him, “For an king uer quite snippy.”

“For a pirate your quite concerned with me!”

“I can still leave ye for fish food, boy.”

Anduin sighed, she was insufferable. “Fine, can you at least tell me your name? So I don't have to call you pirate captor?” And she only snorted in response.

“Wait, uer not kiddin?”

The king threw himself back, hitting his head against the wall he leaned against. “No, I'm serious!”

“'m uh,” cough “Silesia.”

“Anduin Wrynn.”

“Well I knew that, boy!” and he tried to resist screaming.

“Why are ye so pissy anyway? Couldn' remove the royal stick up uer ass?”

“Well, I'm trying to figure out something, and I'm being hauled back to the place I'm trying to get away from!” Anduin could feel his eyes start to burn with unshed frustration tears, and tried to wish them away. He just wanted to leave, to be alone, and here she was, tormenting him.

He expected laughter. Or a scoff. Or- well anything except Silesia sitting by him and apologizing.

“What? Why?” And when he looked down into her eyes, he could see a glimpse of sorrow and understanding.

“My Pa was a Stormwind soldier. Expected me to follow in his footsteps. Till he found me too much o' a burden and sent me off to my ma. Thought a floatin' city could keep me in line. Did for a bit. Until mah Ma started getting the same ideas.”

Anduin was honestly shocked, she looked honest and almost like she really cared, and it made him want to be honest with her too.

“And... Became a Pirate?”

“I've spent my whole life being what others wanted. Needed. And...” With a sigh he tried to steel himself, “And recently I realized, I don't know who I am at all.” Silesia nodded, and placed a hand on her knee.

“I get it. Ma and Pa wanted me to be what they needed. I just wanted to be, well, me. 's why I left.”

“Aye.”

To be honest, he was a little confused at the line of thinking. She didn't want to do what her parents said, so she became a murderer? “I don't understand?”

“My parents never gave me any free'om. Didn't let me do anything without a say. Friends, what I read, wrote, wore, said, how I brushed my hair and teeth, how I waved. Ye get it. Ye get it. I bet uers were the same way.”

“I won't become a pirate because of it though!”

“Nah, ye don't have the Sea-legs for it.” Silesia chuckled, “All I wanted was to be free. The buccaneers gave me that.”

Anduin could tell she hated her parents, especially her father. But he couldn't help but wonder-

“Do you ever still visit them?”

Silesia snorted, “Shit no. Pa's dead, only regret is that I didn't get to gut the fucker myself.”

“And your mom?” he said, leaning forward a little.

“...A friend checks up on her from time to time. She's always been lonely, and spent more time carin' for tomes than herself.”

“Why don't you visit her?”

The odd look returns to her face, “She thinks I- uh- made friends with some fish.”

“You mad- what? She thinks you died? Why?”

Silesia shrugs, “Beats me. Guess Pa told her that.”

“Why would he lie to her?”

“Cant exactly ask a dead man, can I?”

Anduin facepalms. This. Damn Elf. “Wanna take a guess?"

“Damn uer nosy. He checked up on me and I threatened him and Ma. I guess he lied to save her heart. Now! Spill boy.”
