last year I was friends with someone who would point out to me that, aspects of my personality usually were off-putting to her but that she "didn't mind them." in me. Which always felt like a way to subtly try and wound me. To say that somehow these character traits as a whole weren't very likable but, luckily, I could pull them off. Anyway, we stopped being friends and directly after I met up for drinks with a new friend and today they said "I am so glad to know you." Makes you think!

Oh, this is making me think of one of my absolute favourites things. Bucky pining and yearning and waiting oh so patiently for Sam. Until it’s just too much.

So no powers AU. Sam and Bucky have been friends since forever probably. Bucky fell years ago and has kept mostly a secret. As in, almost everyone but Sam knows. Because Bucky is just so obvious, and it’s there in the way he looks at Sam and says his name.

And maybe one day the whole group is out and Sam brings a date and they’re dancing and they leave early and Bucky is watching and it hurts. It just hurts so much.

So he starts to pull away and put some distance between them. Sam is so confused and mad and hurt and he keeps trying to talk to Bucky and gets no answer. Until one day he goes to Bucky’s place and confronts him and Bucky is just so tired and so over it he screams, “I’m in love with you and it fucking hurts.”

I think Rory would post about current events/global issues (you know those posts that are like WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT THIS!!! she reblogs them before anyone adds “WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT THIS!!”) she’d also reblog those like 30 note gifsets from fandomless and obscure old movies and would post very thorough, article-level book reviews. Jess would be one of those users who occasionally adds needlessly hostile and pretentious arguments to viral posts (he’s usually right, but his tone!) that make you go “who does this guy think he is?” and then you go to the blog and his bio is just like “Jess / NY” (even if he’s in Stars Hollow, CT) and all of his posts are like old band photos, moody excerpts from authors’ letters, and the occasional faceless personal photo — all captionless and tagless. They both liveblog the books they read but you’d never know on Jess’s end because he refuses to use tags (all of his lit opinions have the energy of a vague post) and gets 0 notes. One time Rory sees a post perpetuating a historical myth about a late author and lightly corrects the op and Jess jumps in (he’s agreeing with her, but his TONE!), she HAS to see who this guy thinks he is, and ends in stumbling on his 0 note liveblogging (okay he can be a little funny). She dms him about one of his opinions and from then on they’re talking daily, trying to beat each other’s yearly reading goals, and editing each other’s NaNoWriMo projects.

So something about my romantic orientation that I only figured out within the last... recently. I'm capable of getting a crush (though I now recognize a true crush, rather than being in a manic episode and trying to get out of loneliness, is extremely rare) and I'm capable of feeling that long term romantic love - pragma - but whatever goes in the middle is... there's nothing. It's empty.

This is why I almost never confessed my crushes, either. I knew as soon as I did something about it, the feeling would go away - and as soon as I feel like I've "claimed" someone (in a sexual sense... yes, I'm admitting this) there would be no romantic feelings. It took me until like late 2020 to fully internalize that this wasn't how other people felt romance.

This is something about myself that's never bothered me, so I never tried to put a label on it. Just a lesbian, though from what I know grayro might be the correct term?

Anyway. Autistic person has funny idea of romance, who would have guessed.

alright, i am desparate again 🙃

i have been off work due to medical issues which may have FINALLY been figured out but because of that, i have absolutely no money to pay for anything. i am behind on rent, mortgage, electric, wifi, basically everything. and doordashing does not pay me enough to be able to cover these things. i have a stomach issue that causes me to throw up any food i eat, extreme abdominal pain, loss of appetite, and weight loss. it's impossible for me to even eat a cracker at the moment.

ANYTHING will help. i don't want to lose my house and be without heat for the winter. and my car is having problems once again. making posts like these are my last resort tbh. as of right now, it's 2k+ that i owe for everything.
