Watching nosferatu n seeing "gothic romance" fans vehement avoidance/denial of the child abuse/exploitation/SA implications in the film while theyre convinced theyre doing an intellectual read of the film is actually fairly hilarious. The darkest thing they can handle is willing hook ups with a nasty old rich guy while convinced theyre transgressive trailblazers in a genre that theyre tourists in at best.

So, I saw the new Nosferatu. I do have a lot of Thoughts, particularly about how that was a much more novel canon Dracula than I've seen in the last dozen or so movies actually featuring a character called 'Dracula'.

In short, if you are a gothic horror fan and you haven't seen Robert Eggers' Nosferatu, get your lazy butts out of your coffins and GO.

I'll be sure to write something more later.

Necromunda!

Learning skirmish ended in an Orlock victory after some very swingy luck.

Highlight of the game is my specialist Egg Head has for the second game in a row, run out of ammo first shot. And this time, taking out a friendly ganger with the grenade scatter

An Orlock gang kitbashed with old cadian minis after I attended a learn to play Necromunda event at my FLGS. A couple of these dudes I've had sitting in a box for years now and finally decided to finish off the gang.

The scheme was inspired by my original Imperial Guard I painted back in 2018 when I first got into the hobby, looked grungy enough for the underhive.

i really don't think ellen was dealing with any kind of sexual repression like i've seen some people imply, and she certainly didn't need orlock's help in that department. or do you guys not remember her and thomas sucking face in their friends parlor? or how about them angry fucking and her mocking orlock by calling out for him to look and see their love for each other? girl had a lot of things wrong in her life but dissatisfaction with her husband was not one of them

Painted up one of my first ever minis the other week to enter OldenDemon. I got him for my 9th birthday which was uh... 27 years ago??

Put my whole ass into it. Real sweaty try hard shit like stippling with a pvc rod. Not really expecting to do well, rather trying to paint as best as I can to impress that 9 year old kid who threw enamel and acrylic all over his models and ruined a carpet with flesh wash.

Also I managed to use Orange Wash and Goblin Green on him. Two of the only pots of 1990s paints I had that didn't dry out in the attic!

Just bought my ticket for Nosferatu on Dec. 30. 2025 is a terrifying prospect, and there's nothing I can do about that, so I've decided to embrace the terror.
