I keep getting suuuper nostalgic for all the gacha games I played until they stopped getting updates T______T My 1st ever gacha was Ayakashi: Ghost Guild and then years later I played Otogi: Spirit Agents like the amount of time I dedicated to that game is CRAZY ................ another one is Dungeon Trackers, that game has SUUUUCH a cute art style and was so much fun Grrr..... I also loved Astral Stairways a ton but I'm not sure whether it's still getting updates or not ;____;

Ghost in the Mirror event rerun on Otogi Spirit Agents.

Managed to get enough copies of Kondo Isami and make him my first MLB daemon since I redownloaded the game! I missed some SE from overflowing and mistakes during battle, my team is still quite weak because I'm still fairly new in this rerun. But I'm quite content with the results, managed to finish my first tower and get Yata Mirror! Mira 💖

So basically like back in 2015 or 2016ish I played a game that I absolutely admired back then called Otogi Spirit Agents

Otogi Spirit Agents is an rpg game where in you the mc became a spirit agent ( By dying ) to fight evil energy in the spirit world so that the living people wouldn't have this sort of negative energy(feelings like laziness,hatred and etc.) around them.

(I bet you can already sense where this coming huh)

Now with that crappy introduction lets get to the point of my hard hit realization on how i see this two games are eerily similar

THE CONCEPT OF ACCUMULATION OF EVIL ENERGY AND BLOT

Now i know what your thinking blots can't make other people feel negative energy except the magic user. Well folks hear me outttt

In the otogi spirit agents their is always and i mean always a boss spirit (usually base on lore like twst) that is responsible for the so called evil energy. Usually the evil energy they give out is due to a negative emotion that they have.

For example

The first spirit boss we encounter in the game is namely Ray or the restless ghost

and she has this evil energy around her where in she makes the people with relationships (both romantic and platonic) fight each other.

She was able accumulate this negative energy because of being jealous to people who was able to get into relationships while she on the other hand wasn't due to dying early and becoming a spirit in that sense.

Not only does she possess to make this people get into fights she herself loses control of her sanity and emotions as this evil energy accumulates more by her negative emotions.

(Also they get really op when they get dark same to twst)

thus us spirit agents not only need to give them the right way of thinking to cleanse their spirit but also to fight them to reduce their powers that they gain from it

Mean while on twst it has the same concept of how the mc can overcome overblot

However even tho its like that I dont really think they are the same perhaps its coincidence that it was like that

So, they brought Otogi: Spirit Agents back.

Maybe under a new developer, but damn, it's back.

Test-driving a spare Samsung A10s at home, I reinstalled this thing (and sadly, we all start from scratch) and with my first invoker pull I get:

Well, ain't that lucky.

But damn, the 2016 nostalgia. Even from its 2009 predecessor Ayakashi Ghost Guild.

If there's something bothering me right now, is how My Stella Knights had a promising future and Mitama just dropped it.

I'm trying not to be mean here, but what the heck does Mitama have in mind? They abandoned Otogi, yeah, ok, we understand, but then suddenly MSK came and it wasn't a huge bop because they didn't tell everyone at all and because they didn't make a good job.

The translations started to get confusing, the events were boring and money grabbing, we never felt close at all with the characters (and there are so many! It's hard to get attached to anyone) and we never seen to progress in the storyline. It was all like like "yeah men, teacher is stupid and, MC, a smartass." She does everything and saves the day while we can't even understand what she's doing at all.

I can see that everyone's fav boy is Tsubasa. Did we get a Tsubasa special? Nope. Did we get a Valentine's event? NOPE. What the hell are we supposed to do in this game? See MC being smart and kinda of a Mary Sue every time without paying attention to anyone? We can't have a cute, light-hearted story or any cute skins of my fav boys?

Mitama, you failed too much. And you know because you made Gadlingers.

I'm not even going to talk about the strong sexualization of girls in this new game, but not even a month and it's already dead. What happened? I'm mad, but also worried. I'm playing their games since the start and I'm kinda sad it ended like this
