In a war there's no time to explore or search for things that can be useful, or even search for clues, less with the fact that youre leading an army. There was no puzzle, no mistery to solve or objects that needed to be obtained, just plain fight and confrontation, not leaving space for investigation or even a good rest in town

They have a point, without exploring they wouldn't have the arsenal that they carry; powerful items that can kill a whole army of monsters, a gift left by the hero before them to help, shinies. All that is really useful when you want to save the whole kingdom

lets not forget all the weapons that you can get on HW, there are some that are like, crazy powerful, and the materials get from the enemies are also really helpful

I’m gonna surprise you – Soundwave! they were both dancing around with the feelings for each other for the longest time, yet the obligations of being an Autobot and a Decepticon held them off from it. the thought that “I cannot be in love with x, it’s not what I was supposed to be”, as much as their love grew stronger. but the moment Soundwave saw Hot Rod in danger from Tarn, he knew how meaningless the fractions truly became. his Hot Rod was hurting and he couldn’t let it be. so he defeated Tarn and barely kept together. when he woke up in the med bay, he saw Hot Rod sleeping near, right with Laserbeak, never leaving his side. that was when Soundwave told him he loved him – to this being reciprocated, of course

in different timelines than CBV I still see Soundwave being the one to confess first. he is upfront and even if it pains him from his loyalty, he tells Rods how much he loves him bc he can’t live in a world where he wouldn’t at least be in the clear and rejected. but no matter what, Rods loves him back

Who makes their energon?

again, I think Soundwave. underneath his stoicism there’s a mech who cares abt his loved ones and is so protective. Rods does everything in full speed – Soundwave is there to remind him to slow things down and take care of himself. the world doesn’t need to be saved immediately. it’s Soundwave’s inside duty to remind Rods that he deserves saving too and doesn’t need to push himself to the limits bc of others. not to mention, Soundwave does a rly well blend of energon

Who is the early bird/who is the night owl?

oughh sun/moon ships are my weakness and they fit this so perfectly. Hot Rod is the early bird. he stays up early to get things done, he loves the sunlight and feels the most energetic in the day. doesn’t mean that he’s good at waking up early tho! he often “just 5 more mins”-s Soundwave. Soundwave is the night owl, used to doing cons’ mission during the night to be inconspicuous and since he’s such a workaholic, he tends to stay up late just to finish that one last project he needs to

Who is the big spoon/Who is the little spoon?

Soundwave is the big spoon, he’s very, very protective. Rods is the little spoon bc he loves to be held in Soundwave’s arms 💖

Who loves to cuddle?

they both do! Soundwave grew to love it after being so touch starved and isolated from anyone else. with Rods being so physically affectionate, he grew to love physical touch cause it reminds him of his lover,, not to mention, Rods’ heating systems are very pleasant for Soundwave to touch. and as I’ve said, Rods is definitely someone who is VERY physically affectionate and very casual with his affection via touch (after all he’s got THE TOUCH). so Rods cuddling Soundwave is his own personal, wordless way of saying “I love u” <3

Who hogs the blanket?

I believe that Hot Rod does that a lot! mostly bc Soundwave doesn’t move too much in his sleep, Rods can’t help it, he has to spill himself all over the place. not that Soundwave minds too much, since Rods himself is so warm, Soundwave always keeps warm

Who wakes the other one up with kisses?

whoever wakes up first hehe :3 it’s almost their competition, as they’re sooo competitive with each other it’s basically a love language of their. whoever wakes up first gets to kiss the other to wake up. when it’s Rods, he rolls on top of Soundwave and starts kissing his facemask, being surprised when Soundwave wakes up and retracts his battle mask so they kiss right on dermas (so in a way, the victory is his then too hehe). when it’s Soundwave, he kisses Hot Rod softly first at the helm and then on his cheek, while gently touching the side of his faceplate

Who usually has nightmares?

they both do, honestly. Soundwave has nightmares abt Tarn, abt the border separating them and abt Megatron’s abuse towards him and his fellow cons. even more so, in his nightmares, Soundwave loses control. he can’t help neither himself and allows the pain to spread on others, he’s unable to save. it’s the tortures that are harming his chassis, no matter if from Tarn or from Megatron himself. in his nightmares, Hot Rod also gets hurt and Soundwave can only watch. when he wakes up, he holds him close, reassuring himself that they’re both there

Hot Rod’s nightmares are abt death and destruction but he himself never gets hurt. It’s always someone close to him who gets hurt or dies before his optics. then there is a cacophony of voices which blame him for the occurrences that happened, that he doesn’t deserve to be the survivor. he also has dreams that Soundwave wouldn’t come back to him, gone forever, or choosing the violence of the cons instead of the future they built together. when Rods has nightmares, he wakes up screaming and Soundwave always calms him down

Who likes sweets?

I think Hot Rod does, he has a big sweet tooth and likes the “kiddy” sugary flavors. Soundwave can’t stand too much sweetness but he always prepares Rods’ energon to be sweeter than it should be so he’s happy

Who likes horror movies/who likes romance movies?

Soundwaves likes BOTH horror movies and romance movies. he loves cheesy Earth romances (esp when they’re musicals!) but also loves thrilling atmospheric horrors. on the other hand, Rods doesn’t mind both but he’s def more of a thrilling action movie guy with lots of well-choreographed fights and impressive wide shots

Who is small/who is tall?

they’re both tall, they’re Cybertronian! but Soundwave is canonically a lil taller than Rods. I like to think tho that when Rods becomes Rodimus Prime, he is taller than Soundwave (and that would piss him off if he wasn’t happy to be held by his wonderful husband)

Who is considered the scaredy cat?

neither, they’re both brave and take danger head on

Who is the most affectionate?

define affectionate bc I think they’re both very affectionate! just in their own ways, of course. Rods is very affectionate with physical touch and PDA. he’s very public and everyone knows how much he loves Soundwave. he’s the one to reach for Soundwave’s servo to hold in public places, hug him, hold him and kiss him of course. not to mention the words of praise, loving glances and talking highly abt how much he loves Soundwave

Soundwave is much more reserved with his affection and prefers to do it in private. then from his side there’s a lot of gentle touches but also firmer ones when he knows Rods wants a little manhandling hehe. there are kisses and the initiated affection, listening to Rods’ spark, touching him very lingeringly. Soundwave is also the one to initiate the spark merging/sharing the most and also sharing his spark’s energy for Rods so he wordlessly reassures him of his love

Nicknames?

Hot Rod calls Soundwave “Waves”, “Sounds”, “Soundy” or babe or “Wave Babe” or “Soundbabe” and he LOVES to gush abt Soundwave and invent new cutesy nicknames for him. Soundwave isn’t very much so a nicknames guy but he does calls Rods his sweetspark, his love, his dearest. usually tho he uses Rods’ full name, as a sign of respect and devotion

no matter if he’s Hot Rod or Rodimus Prime, Soundwave loves to carry him around. and Rods simply loves to be carried around by Soundwave and being held in his arms <3 not to mention with Rods’ often very low impulse control, Soundwave just has to rescue his bf from the imminent yet avoidable danger of stupidity ok

pretty sure they both have high positions that pay well. firstly as they started dating Soundwave had more money, so he def spoiled Rods like so. but when Rods became Rodimus Prime and Soundwave his second in command it all just became very equal for them

ok, again, hear me out – Hot Rod proposes. Soundwave definitely thought of so but he’s such a perfectionist, he had to think of every small detail to make it perfect for his beloved Rods. then, one night it’s warm, it’s comfortable, they hold each other while laying down on their berth. Soundwave feels so comfortable and even more so, he feels safe when there’s no danger, no pain just him and his Hot Rod. of course, he also plays music, he always does. Rods whispers sweet nothings onto him and then asks for Soundwave to play one of their songs. Rods starts to sing along with it and as the song ends, he looks directly at Soundwave and asks him to be his Conjunx Endura. taken aback, Soundwave feels warmth spreading all across his spark and Rods’ pulsating spark next to his with love and excitement. and when Soundwave says “yes”, he was never more sure of anything else during his lifetime

Soundwave is a top, he loves control and to please his lover. Rods is a bottom, he loves to be held and cared by Soundwave

I think they’re both ticklish actually but Rods is more ticklish. when Soundwave learns of it, it’s like a lightbulb moment for him and he definitely takes advantage of this. and Rods can’t help it, he just pretty much loves it

Soundwave has this tendency to see every animals and immediately want to take it home. he loves strays and wants to take care of every little critter. it takes a lot from Rods to say no to him but welP he just gotta do it to have their household under control (he does love all of Soundwave’s cassettes tho and the cassettes love him back)

Who wants to stay in bed just a bit longer?

as much as Hot Rod is definitely a morning person, he does like to stay in bed, cuddled to Soundwave for just a minute longer. then the sun falls on his faceplate, he realizes how happy he is to see it and immediately springs away to enjoy the sun. Soundwave definitely stays in bed longer but he loves seeing Rods this energetic, it makes him want to stay up and enjoy the day with him

Who cooks best?

as a cook myself I love to be self-indulgent and say Soundwave cooks best lol during the lonely nights at the Nemesis he taught himself to do it. Rods loves his energon and always finds it top notch. not to mention, as a sparkreader (my hc hehe) Soundwave wordlessly knows what Rods’ spark wants and he modifies it every day to suit his likings. Rods is always happy and enamored by it of course

Who needs reassurance?

they both do, in their own ways actually. Soundwave is closed with his feelings and detached but Rods knows him so well, he can sense the little different things in his behavior and help him out. Soundwave’s mind reminds him of the deeds of the past that happened within his Decepticon loyalty. some bots still can’t look at him, fearing for their lives. in times like these Soundwave simply wants to believe that he’s not a killer machine anymore but he can choose softness instead of violence too. all he truly wants is togetherness, yet he often can’t believe he’s made for this. that’s when Rods soothes him with gentle touches and words, reminding him that the world had changed and everything was of Soundwave’s creation and his choice. no matter what others say, Rods knows Soundwave’s spark is in the right place

Rods on the other hand experiences a lot of doubts abt how he deserves to have such position and carries immense survivor’s guilt within himself. regarding Nyon, regarding Cheetor, regarding Optimus, regarding everyone who had been lost before his optics yet he survived. Rods often feels as if he doesn’t deserve the praise when so many things went wrong. in his mind, he fears that he’s still the inexperienced bot, who has so much to learn and shouldn’t be trusted with such responsibility. Soundwave, again as a sparkreader, can read through those doubts in an instant. he’s not exactly someone to say big words so he simply sends Rods the reassurances with his spark. that he’s the reason Soundwave is still here. that he made Cybertron a better place. that he deserves good things

another fun game of theirs lmao I gotta say both. sometimes they try to one up one another in the texts like such when the other is at meeting. Rods gets very into it, while Soundwave is as stoic as ever. they both love it. everyone around them hates it skfjbnsjdk

why do u think that Soundwave wears a battlemask, huh. this man deep down inside is so damn sensitive, he just can’t help but to mask his crying during sad stuff. esp ones with animals. for the love of Primus don’t show him Marley & Me or Rods will have to put his sobbing mess together and even Laserbeak will get startled

Who tells their friends/family about the relationship first?

I feel like everyone around them just would Know. they’ve been acting so oblivious around each other, ppl even started making bets how quickly they’d end up together. to surprise of everyone Whirl won that bet and Dead End was very mad. but other than that I think Rods was the first to share it with Perceptor and Arcee. Perceptor already knew but Arcee was so so happy for Rods, she hugged him and congratulated him right up

from Soundwave’s side, I’m sure Starscream already sensed that and even if he rolled his optics, he was happy for his Amica after the war had ended. also Shadow Striker knew right away and just told him “called it” but she was happy too. as for the cassettes I think they’re spark bonded to Soundwave and they knew he was in love with Rods even before he had realized his feelings,,

I've talked about cphil before, and I've talked about his grief before, and Wilbur Does Not Leave his mind, from November 16th till his revival he hasn't stopped thinking about it. He's thought about it so much that the dude, who's never usually vulnerable, even asks ranboo if what he did was right, one of the times he was emotionally vulnerable in character. I also think it's really neat that Techno built a home in the north and gave Phil a compass that points to it, it's a really neat coincidence. His character also feels very lost in a way? I made a playlist once where I ordered the songs to follow a story, but I left it unfinished because he felt unfinished, forever stuck in some sort of grief (sidenote I need to finish that playlist now that the finale happened) and I think the line about true north fading is pretty neat

So like the oh hellos post, Techno is East, and you can probably see for yourself why I picked it haha

"now I bear little resemblance to the king I once was" is definitely the line that feels very c!techno I think, and "the years wore on and changed my heart, the leading role for a smaller part"

There is the intentional change, with him trying to stay away from violence and retiring, albeit later on going back to violence. But there's also the unintentional part, the one that came more naturally when he found friends. I mean Phil has always been his friend, but now there's Niki and Ranboo, and I mean there was even a hint of a reconciliation with Tommy. Something about having started out trying to go at it alone, and in the end having surrounded yourself with people that care.

So for Wilbur, he gets South.

Wilbur is very associated with lies I think, as a wordsmith. He lies to others and he lies to himself, and I don't think all of it he didn't believe. But also both Phil and Wilbur having lines about losing true north? Oughh. What I really like though is the last few verses

Because these ones are gentler, these ones are kinder. And Wilbur ultimately does try in a way to heal, in the end.

Which I think works really well! A line Tommy has repeated over and over again was that L'manburg was the people, not the government or the land. It was the community.

C!Tommy, I think, is hope. He is kindness, and second chances. Because with everything that's happened to him, he hasn't stopped being kind. He hasn't grown hard with the times, he's remained as open and as vulnerable as he was, even as he grows more scarred. He hasn't stopped caring for the people he loves, because if you stop letting yourself love, what will you have left

Sentinel sleeps on his stomach with an arm wrapped around Jazz. Jazz sleeps on his side.

Sentinel snores a lot. His kibble weighs on his ventilation systems a lot. Jazz has white noise playing in his headphones for this reason. Many have reasoned that Jazz could simply not sleep in the same room as Sentinel, but Jazz disregards that.

Sentinel has nightmares regularly, and has difficulty sleeping. The whirr of Jazz's spark helps him stay at peace. He sleeps much better with Jazz around.

Jazz is a cuddler. He loves how solid the other mech's body is. He likes to think that Sentinel is grounding his body to the physical realm when his soul is at rest.

Sentinel wakes up first just to watch Jazz sleep. He'll draft poems in his head about Jazz's plump, soft lips, and his high cheekbones. Sentinel usually gets up, and pretends like these moments together never happened. Jazz knows, though - but he doesn't try to press Sentinel about why he does it.

That’s the sentiment of a particularly sleepy cyberninja. Jazz takes a particularly deep intake as his systems send a command to wake up. He internally swipes away that tab in favor of snuggling back into the inviting warmth of rest. Cybertron can wait as he catches a few extra Z’s this morning. Jazz’s processor drifts in and out of consciousness by the feather light pull that is his partner tracing along one of his transformation seams.

Sentinel marvels every curve of metal plating that makes up this perfect creation from the Allspark. A miracle of wonder just like space dust circling in on itself to create a star… No that’s too cliché! No matter how many mornings they share, the prime can’t find the right combination of words to reflect his emotions. Poetry is stupid anyway. Who needs that frivolous word play when he can just. Reach out.

Sentinel pulls his hand up to cup Jazz’s face. His thumb traces along that defined cheekbone down to those lips. Metal smooth as his personality. There’s not enough time in the day to fully acknowledge every square inch. Not that Sentinel would waste his time in doing so of course. Cybertron needs his exuberant amounts of natural leadership. clyde, damien, kenny, and stan unintentionally ignoring reader; platonic hurt/comfort

A/N: HIII!! i havent had a lot of experience writing hurt/comfort but i hope this will suffice. im also not great at writing for clyde but i tried!! the friend character has been hanging out with is not specificed and is referred to as F/N. and thank you!!!

i wanted to write a gregory segment but honestly i think its hard to fully depict his personality as he was only in the movie, so i apologize!! :(

reader is referred to with they/them pronouns

clyde donovan

clyde can be. very..... unaware sometimes. so it probably doesn't click that he hasn't been talking to you until someone hammers it into his brain. when he realizes he feels really stupid and guilty

"clyde! dude, i need to talk to you." tolkien rushes into the living room, where clyde and his friends were playing games on the couch.

clyde gets up and looks at him, as tolkien takes him into the next room. "what's wrong?"

tolkien looks kinda uncomfortable. "it's Y/N. they had a total breakdown in my room. they said something about you, i don't know what to do."

clyde,, doesn't like to hear this. he's actually kinda scared to go in there and see you crying, but the fact that you mentioned him has him kinda curious.

he lightly knocks on the door before creaking it open. "...Y/N?"

he sees you, awkwardly curled up in tolkien's racecar bed, sniffles and hiccups sounding throughout.

he hesitates for a bit, stumped on what to do, before stepping in and shutting the door behind him. he plays with his fingers.

he's incredibly nervous, but he steps closer to you, trying to get a better look at your face. "Y/N?"

you look up, and upon recognizing clyde's face, you sit up and wipe your tears. "o-oh. hey, man. what's- what's up?"

he's really stumped now. what does he say?????

"uh, i was checking if you're alright. did- did something happen?" clyde seems to kick his foot a little, seemingly trying to look at everything in the room but you.

you continue to wipe your face with your sleeve. "um- no, not really. it isn't-" you stop yourself, and an inner conflict is visible on your face. you sigh.

"y'know what, whatever. clyde, why- are- i feel like- like you've been avoiding me." you look away.

it doesn't process at first. "huh? avoiding you?"

you sniffle. "i mean, yeah. you've been, like- not talking to me and stuff and it seems like you're always busy. did i do something?"

"... but we're hanging out right now, right?"

"...... well yeah but it's different.. i mean like, alone. like you keep walking past me in school, and, when i wanted to be your lab partner, you-" you pause and hiccup. "agh, this is stupid, i'm sorry dude."

you can see the gears turning in clyde's head. "so, you think i've been ignoring you on purpose? i haven't... oh." he kinda has a durr moment and realizes the events of the past week.

he grimaces. "oughh, i just realized i've been hanging out with F/N way more lately.. i'm sorry, man. i didn't mean to make you feel left out."

you look at him again, with a little hope in your eyes. "wait.. so, you're not mad at me?"

he shakes his head. "no. i just kinda got busy, sorry for ignoring you. we can be partners for mr. garrisons next project, OK?"

you wipe your cheeks once more and nod. "yeah, OK."

he does a stupid lil grin, one that's strangely encouraging. "c'mon, we gotta get a slice of pizza before the guys eat it all!"

damien thorn

he's erm. very confused as to why it bothers you that much

he tries to be sympathetic though. keyword tries

"oh, dear. damien, i'm so glad you've come! ...what happened between you and Y/N?"

"... ?"

"well, it's just that.. i was talking to them and it seems you've been ignoring them for about a week or so."

"..." he thinks for a moment. "..not on purpose."

pip plays with his hands a bit. "well, i think you should go have a chat with them. they're up in my room."

damien looks at him with an unreadable expression, before making his way up the steps. he stands in front of pip's door, unsure what to do with his hands.

damien opens the door, and you look up from your spot on the bed. "damien, uh, hey, dude.." you quickly wipe your face and look at him.

he stands there for a moment, the both of you feeling the awkwardness kick in fast

"..pip wanted me to talk to you."

"'bout what?"

"about me ignoring you. i didn't do it on purpose." you can tell it strains him to explain himself.

you wipe your cheeks a bit more. "i- i know you didn't, but.. i dunno. i saw you and F/N hanging out and- you seemed really happy."

you have to admit, it's a little strange sharing your feelings of friendship with the son of satan.

".. i'm here now."

"...?"

"i'm here, hanging out with you. would you prefer i left?"

"i- no!" you find yourself speaking louder than intended. "i-i mean, no, i don't."

his head tilts a little. "then what is it that you want?"

you rub your arm, once again feeling like a shrimp in the presence of a shark. "well- maybe we could just, hang out. i dunno. you and me."

damien thinks for a moment, before nodding his head. "very well. we shall go play xbox at your house."

"really?"

"yes. now come, we must leave quickly so pip doesn't ask any questions."

"hah, okay."

in the hallway, right before you walk down the stairs, you hear damien mutter, "i didn't ignore you on purpose."

you chuckle and pat his shoulder. "yeah, buddy. i know."

kenny mccormick

god. he feels so bad about it.

i can see him being kinda confused on why it upset you so much,, but he does get it to an extent and he's just like. damn.

"dude, kenny, have you been ignoring Y/N?"

"mmph? mph!" (what? no!)

"they started crying because they thought you were, you should probably go talk to them in my room."

he opens the door and he's incredibly confused why you were crying next to stan's bed with your knees to your chest.

"mmph, mmph mph?" (dude, what's wrong?) he slowly sits next to you, putting his hand on your shoulder

you sniffle and look away. "can.. can you tell me why you're upset with me?"

".... mmph? mph mmph mmmf mmph mph!" (.... what? i'm not upset with you!) he's really confused now. what ever gave you that idea?

you look at him a bit oddly, wiping a few of your tears. "then.. why were you ignoring me?"

he ponders for a moment, trying to scan through the week that's passed since you two last hung out. to him, it just seems like you two haven't really had time to talk...

and then it hits him that he's been hanging around F/N a lot recently. as a result, you two haven't talked at all. to him, it really wasn't that big of a deal, but he feels bad when he realizes that you thought he didn't want to be around you anymore.

"mm, mmph... mph mmphph, mmph. mmf mmf mmmphph mmph mmf mph mph mmmph mmph... mmf mmph mmmph." (aw, man... i'm sorry, Y/N. i've been hanging around F/N a lot recently and.. i didn't realize.) he seems sheepish, and rubs his arm.

kenny gets up and extends his hand to you to take. "mmf mmph mmph mph mph, mmph? mmph mmmph." (i'm not mad at you, okay? i promise.)

you look at him, still a little weary, but relieved that it was just in your imagination. "yeah.. yeah, okay. thank you, kenny." you take his hand and he pulls you up.

you can't see his smile because of his parka, but you see his cheeks lift and his eyes crinkle, almost as if he's giving you a pep talk through his eyes.

"mmf mmph mmph! mmphh mmph mmf mm mmpph mmmph! "now, come on! stan's mom is making tuna helper!)

stan marsh

"oooof, jeez..." he's like scratching the back of his head and grimacing. like he doesn't know what to say but he feels very guilty

"stan, what's up with you and Y/N?"

"huh? what do you mean?"

"they said you've been avoiding them for like a week, what happened?" kyle crosses his arms.

"avoiding them? i haven't been avoiding them! we hung out like..... last friday..."

"well, whatever happened, it had them pretty upset at my house yesterday. they started crying about it right before we went to bed."

stan is incredibly confused. he knows it's been a bit since you two hung out, but he didn't think it was that serious!

he tries to look for you around school, hoping to maybe find you in the cafeteria or in the hallways, but nothing.

he sighs, entering the bathroom, but perks up once he sees you, washing your hands.

"Y/N! dude, i've been looking for you everywhere!" stan runs up to you, his face showing an emotion somewhere between awkwardness and relief.

you look a little down as you greet him. "hey, stan. what's up?" you dry your hands and face him.

he averts his eyes a little. "um... kyle was talking to me earlier, about how you slept over at his place yesterday? and, about..." he trails off, looking to find the right words.

you realize what he's talking about, and get a little embarrassed. "oh, yeah. i... i wanted to talk to you about it, but i didn't really know how to.."

his voices gets a little softer. "listen, um, i didn't mean to ignore you. F/N and i have been hanging out a lot recently, and, i dunno, i guess i kinda got caught up in it. i'm not mad at you or anything." he fidgets with his hands a little.

you look up a little. "oh, well, that's a relief." you say, with a little chuckle in your voice. "i.. i was kinda worried you didn't wanna be friends anymore.. but i guess i was overreacting."

stan looks at you. "it's fine, dude. you didn't overreact. i'm sorry." he puts his hand on your shoulder and squeezes it a little, giving a small reassuring smile.

you smile back. stan's always had a sort of hard time finding words to comfort people, so it means a lot that he's trying.

he pats your back, before looking nervous. "now, if you'll excuse me, i really have to shit." he runs into the stall, slamming it shut.

you chuckle and leave before the smell hits you.
