This user is supportive towards all paraphilias.

Paraphilia is an uncomfortable, highly stigmatized topic wrongly associated inherently with committing abusive acts, making it near impossible to create compassionate, educational, and fair conversation about it. It is crucial not to let disgust rule your better judgment when it comes to this topic.

The term Paraphilia was coined in 1904 by ethnologist Friedrich Salomon Krauss as a way to describe an orientation that fell outside of the norm, at the time this was considered any sexual behaviour that didn't serve the purpose of procreation. Nowadays it is primarily used as an identity label by those with taboo orientations.

Some of the population happens to have orientations which include abusive, unsanitary, obscure, or otherwise taboo preferences, some of which cannot be acted upon due to the non-consensual harm they will cause. I firmly believe caring about preventing abuse requires an indepth understanding of paraphilias.

The truth is that a signficant amount of sexual offenses are commited opportunistically to exert power, rather than done by someone who genuinely has a paraphilic orientation. I am however not going to sugarcoat the reality that some individual paraphiles do offend.

In order for paraphiles to lead a positive life, it is important they are not shamed, especially not for what they haven't done. Framing them as disgusting monsters who are doomed to offend is not going to prevent them from offending. Ostracization and self-hatred will actually more likely encourage offense, for they might feel like they have no positive experience of life to protect anyway. It is not encouraging to do good whatsoever when it feels like no one in the entire world will ever have a kind thought about you. This is not an excuse to offend, what I'm trying to say is that this hateful, stigmatizing attitude towards paraphiles prevents honest and open conversation about paraphilias, therefor prevents paraphiles access to information and understanding about themselves, therefor brings forth more acts of entirely preventable offense.

Conversion therapy is considered an inhumane practice when it comes to queer people, so why should it be any different for paraphiles? Through things like art, writing, dolls, roleplay, and fantasies, paraphiles can engage with their paraphilias in ways that objectively do not cause harm. What they do evoke in many is disgust, which is not a emotion that should rule your morality.

It might be easy to think why can't paraphiles just not exist so I don't have to be uncomfortable and question my morality? Well, they do exist, and they will never not exist, because paraphilia isn't an hereditary disease that you can eugenics out of the population, neither is it something you can socially conform out of existence. Paraphilias are inherent.

Omni means many or all which represents an attraction to a large spectrum of people, age ranges, objects, concepts, animals and actions.

It includes but is not limited to the big three and can be used as an umbrella term for anyone who has many different paraphilias or who feels their orientation or identity is paraphilic in general.

You don’t have to have every paraphilia to identify with omni and it isn’t limited to just sexual or romantic attraction. He doesn't ascribe to labels, but he would describe his sexuality as: "if there's a hole; there's a goal, and if there's not; I'll make one." and related to bi/m-spec people's labels more than others. Probably some level of aromantic, but he can also be very obsessively, passionately loving, so he would theoretically call himself arofluid/aroflux. Very contradictory romantic attraction.

What Strade WOULDN'T tell you is that he's a sadist, into extreme harm, and wants to become panharmful for paraphilic reasons. Definitely watches EXTREME porn if he isn't just rewatching his own snuff films. That may be bondage films, painful torture, asphyxiation, orgasm torture, et cetera. The only thing off the table is immobilising him!

He doesn't actually like/love/lust for humans. Rire is amused by them, but he would call himself "otherwise aemotional (aromantic, aplatonic, et cetera)" when it comes to humans. He's more attracted to immortal beings like himself. Maybe there would be an exception to that aemotional (lack of) attraction, but the attraction would be very fleeting, and only last until the mortal becomes less amusing, fun, or generally attractive.

He's the only one who would actually have the names for what terms his attraction falls under. Demisexual, demiromantic, loveromantic, and bisexual. Probably autisexual too, but Sano "doesn't know if he can use it since he's undiagnosed" and therefore lists several alternatives like a nerd.

If you get him comfortable enough/let him ramble on long enough; Sano will end up telling you how he's not sadistic when he says he's into body modification, and specifically wants to be the modifier of his partner. It's the aftermath that is most attractive to him sexually, but his monogamous ass wants to be the only one to handle his partner in such an intimate way. Someone else seeing his partner naked? Sure. There's nudes everywhere nowadays. But someone seeing his partner split open? No way. Not happening.

"If there's a hole there's a goal" but without the same violent implication as Strade. He literally just does not care who he's fucking. Hypersexual, pansexual, and could become hyperromantic for the correct person.

Says he's "not a sadist, but..." and goes on to explain consensual sadism. Only the stuff you would find on the average porn site. BDSM, spanking, power dynamics, petplay, degradation, humiliation, and some other favourites of his.

Ren:

Doesn't know the right words for it, so he'll start off with numerous disclaimers, apologies, and then stumble around explaining his finsexuality (without saying finsexual). He love, love, LOVES femmes. To the point it could be considered paraphilic. He also says "it's not like I hate guys" and says a bunch of things that are way too erotic about masc people and men for a finsexual to be saying. To summarise: Ren is finflexible or pan with a preference.

Would likely develop masochism to handle/go along with Strade's extreme sadism. It's a trauma thing. It feels much like retraumatising himself while engaging himself, but he says that's "what it's supposed to feel like" as if it isn't basically self harm.

Anti-Abuse Paraphilic

Anti-Abuse is a standpoint in the contact discourse about paraphilias. It describes someone who does not act out their attractions with those who don't or can't consent but it allows to find healthy and non-abusive alternatives such as roleplay with consenting adults or fiction. Some Paraphilias don't involve living beings but objects, they can be acted on without restrictions. Some Paraphilias such as somnophilia can be acted on but only under certain conditions, like for example a partner that explicity gives consent for this kind of interaction. Some Paraphilias such as P3d0philia involve living beeings that can't consent, therefore any sexual contact with them is absolutely not okay. The anti-abuse stance allows them to act on their attraction only through roleplay with consenting adults or within their own fantasies or fiction.

Anti-Abuse could be seen as a more specific and open-minded version of anti-contact since it shares the anti-contact standpoint but shows ways of non-abuse forms of how one can act on their paraphilic attraction.

The anti-abuse stance also includes the believe that someone can't choose their attractioin including paraphilias, however acknowledges that paraphilias are not the same as sexual orientation. People should not be demonised for having attraction they can't choose, this includes paraphilias. Just because someone has a paraphilia doesn't make them a monster. It is always a matter of how you act. What's going on in someone's mind doesn't cause harm and we shouldn't police fantasies, instead we should strive towards empathy and compassion towards everyone and not harm anyone.

Edit: changed the meaning of the second stripe from "empathy" to "compassion" because lacking empathy doesn't make someone a bad person and people who lack empathy can still be very compassionate towards other. Sorry for the mistake I made.

Paraphilias are Queer because "Queer" doesn't mean "gay" - it means fucking queer. It means "Society at large doesn't like this thing and it deviates from the norm, often with negative reactions or repercussions".

It's not a real mental health diagnosis, it's a term made up to excuse child abusers by saying "ohhh they can't help who they're attracted to." Cross-Aligned is a term when one's conventional orientation differs from one's paraphilic attraction.

This term is strictly anti-abuse. This can mean for example:

a straight man who experiences zoophilic attraction towards male animals

a bisexual woman who experiences only sapphic pedophilic attraction

one who is aromantic but does experience romantic paraphilic attraction
