Janus *staring in horror at the argument that came from Virgil, Roman, Patton and Thomas misinterpreting his points*: ... what... the fuck..?? Logan *walks up and uses Janus's head as an armsrest*: Well isn't this a "conundrum", if only you had let someone, that being me. Give you some pointers before this... this whole situation would have been avoidable. Janus *unhappy groan* *jerks his head out from under Logan's arm*: Please stop using me as your personal armsrest. Logan *using Janus's shoulder instead*: No, it's surprisingly comfortable, you're just the right height. Janus: Rude. Logan: ... Janus: ... Logan: ... Janus: Any idea on how to make them stop all... this? Logan: Nope, I've come to understand it's best to just let them stop on their own. That is unless you want Remus to join on this chaos? Janus: Not particularly... Logan: *takes a sip from his glass of wine* Janus *sighs*: Got any more of that? Logan *brigs forth the bottle*: If you have a glass? Janus: *conjures up his own wine glass* Logan: *pours him a glass* Janus: Thank you. *Takes a sip from his glass of wine, raises one eyebrow in surprise at the taste* Logan: No problem, now, we wait...

Do you like momceit/mom friend deceit (in the same way patton is the dad) and if yes do you have thoughts on it?
I find it really funny when it's there but like, virgil, remus, and janus are just so sassy and sarcastic and play-fighty that nobody realizes it until something slips.
Imagine being the other sides, all vibing in the living room, while two or all three of them are bickering and then you just hear "BUT MOM." from virgil and none of the three of them question it. You are left questioning your sanity, but nope when janus tells remus to go to his room it Works (after complaining and flipping the bird, which is immediately done back by janus)
Virgil when patton first started trying to parent him is just "Oh god not another one"
Momceit is a headcanon I haven't heard of in a while! I love these!
Also Virgil's "Oh god not another one!" is hilarious XD

Adopted
"Papa?" Virgil glanced up suddenly from his coloring page.
"Yes, my little rag doll?" Janus answered setting aside his book.
"Where did I come from?"
"Well." Janus slipped onto the floor next to his son and pulled Virgil into his lap. "You see, one day I was at the grocery store buying ice cream for your dad for his birthday and when I came out of the store I found that someone had left a baby in carseat on the hood of my car. I took the baby home and put up missing posters for him, but no one ever claimed him so your father and I decide to keep you for our own."
Virgil’s brow pinched. "Are you sure?"
"Absolutely!" Janus assured and kissed his brow.
---
"Papa, where did I come from?" Virgil asked. It had been several months since the first time he asked, and this time Janus was ready.
He held out his arms and hefted the boy onto his hip. "On Halloween night, your dad forgot to bring in the Jack-o-lantern he'd carved and filled with candy for the neighborhood kids to pick from. Then at midnight-" Janus's voice suddenly went quiet "-we heard footsteps on the porch! We went very still, listening very carefully till someone tried to open the door." His voice went back to normal tone. "But at that point, we assumed it was your pesky Uncle Roman trying to play a mean trick on us, so your dad and I ran to the fridge where we had water balloons kept just for this moment. We grabbed as many as we could carry and ran as quickly ans quietly as we could to the door then we ripped the door wide open, hoping to catch Uncle Roman by surprise, but instead of your uncle there was you! You were bundled up in a knitted blanket and lying in a basket with a note pinned to the blanket. It said 'this is a good trade for your pumpkin'.
"Now at first your father was very worried, because he thought you might be a vampire baby! But I reminded him that pumpkins don't turn to vampires till after Christmas. After that he agreed to keep you."
Virgil hummed thoughtfully.
"Don't you believe me?" Janus asked innocently.
"Uncle Logan says vampires aren't real."
"That's because your Uncle Logan is terribly boring." He quickly kissed the boy's pudgy cheek. "Run along and play now, I need to finish dinner."
---
"Papa?"
Janus glanced in the rear view mirror at Virgil, strapped safely in his carseat. "Yes, pumpkin?"
"Where did I come from?"
Janus sighed. This time it'd only been a few weeks since the last time Virgil had asked. "Well, one day, I was working late at the library because we had just gotten a new shipment of books and it was my job to make sure they all got logged and had the library's stamp on the inside. It was very dark out side because it was winter now and it was very quiet because the library was closed. Then! Very suddenly and without warning the book drop off panel opened up! Now, this isn't strange during the day, but at night it's very strange indeed. Especially because no books came at all. Instead a voice called out, 'Delivery for Janus the Librarian!', " Janus put on a faux deep voice for that part and it drew a giggle from Virgil. "So I did what any sane person does and I ran outside to get my package. And gets what it was!"
"Was it me?"
Janus smiled and nodded. "It was you. I took you home right away, just in case the delivery man realized he'd made a mistake. It would have made me very sad because I saw you in the little cardboard box and loved you so much I knew immediately that I wanted to keep you forever."
Virgil gave a grin and Janus smiled at his missing front teeth. "Love you, Papa."
"I love you too."
---
"Papa?" Virgil asked as Janus pushed him on the swing.
"Yes, little one?"
"Where do babies come from?"
Janus blinked, caught off guard by the question. "Why, they're dropped off by messenger falcons, of course." He tried to make it sound like he wasn't asking a question.
"Oh. Is that the bird on Dumbo that brings the babies?"
"No, those are storks," Janus nose scrunched in annoyance. Of course he'd gotten the bird wrong.
"Oh. How come the used the wrong bird in Dumbo?"
"Because Disney think it's funny to get things wrong on purpose. And you can tell Uncle Roman I said so."
---
"Papa?" Virgil asked as Janus helped him into the car after school.
"Yes, little bug?"
"Did I really come from messenger falcons?"
"No, you were a very special baby. You see, the year you came to us was a very special year. Aaall year long your dad and I did our best to be very, very good. Your dad didn't call Uncle Roman mean names and I even secretly paid other people's library fines for them. Then on the first day of December we wrote letter to Santa telling him about how we had done our very best to be very good. And we asked him if he could give a little baby boy all our own for Christmas that year.
"And then we waited. And it was the longest month of the longest year of my whole life. But finally Christmas morning came and we woke up to the sound of a baby crying and it was the most beautiful sound because we knew we'd gotten our special wish when we got you." Janus lightly booped the end of Virgil’s nose.
"If I write Santa a letter and you and Daddy write Santa letter do you think he'll give me a baby brother for Christmas?"
Janus blinked. He hadn't been expecting that. "We can talk to your dad about the idea."
---
"Hey, we're home!" Remus called out and slung Virgil’s backpack on the couch.
"How was your day volunteering in class?" Janus asked as he came out of the study.
"Good," Remus answered, slipping an arm around Janus's waist and pulling him into a hug. Janus kissed his cheek, drawing a goofy grin from Remus. "Better now."
"Papa, guess what!" Virgil beamed with excitement.
"What?" Janus asked, matching his tone.
"There was a new kid in class today! His name's Remy and he said I'm adopted like he is!"
Janus's jaw fell open and his head snapped to Remus. "You let someone else tell him he's adopted?" He demanded.
Remus shoved his hands in his pockets and shrugged. "I dunno, babe, I kinda feel like this one is on you. He's been asking about it for like a year now."
"Don't try to pin this on me!"
"Jan, honey, babe, darling, sunflower, light of life, and the reason I get up in the morning." He set his hands on Janus's shoulders. "Ya told the kid you found him in the mailbox. His teacher was getting ready to contact the counselor for you."
"I was just. Waiting for the right time," Janus huffed.
"He's been asking for a year, babe. It was time for him to know. I know it sucks you weren't there for it, but the other kid actually did a really good job of explaining it and in case you couldn't tell, Virgil is really happy to be adopted."
Janus sighed and glanced down at Virgil, who now looked up with worry on his young face.
"Did I make you sad, Papa?"
"No, my love." Janus sat on the floor and held out his arms. Virgil sat on his lap and hugged him tightly. Janus smiled and hugged him tightly. "The day we adopted you was one of the happiest days of my life, I want you to know that. I wouldn't change adopting you for the world. But there were some...difficult things that happened before that. And sometimes the bad things get mixed up with the good things in my brain so it's easier for me to pretend none of it happened at all. And that you just appeared out of nowhere. Because it helps me think of only the good things in that way. But I will never be sad that we adopted you, I promise." Janus pressed a kiss to Virgil’s temple and smiled when Remus settled on the floor with him, enveloping them both in a secure embrace. "I love you, Virgil."
"Love you too, Papa."

Parenting is hard.
Virgil is the oldest of all the sides nobody knows this not even patton who is considered the oldest of the whole group
Everyone has emotions that develop over time a baby usually starts off with fear or happiness they can come out crying or laughing
Thomas was always told he was a happy baby by his parents so he never questioned who the oldest was “well it has to be Patton he has a lot of my happier emotions then Logan because after the split it would make Roman and Remus younger then Janus would be a bit older then the twins right?”
Virgil always thought it was fine because he was younger bodily than everyone else he was created from the very beginning of Thomases journey in the Void of his mind aimlessly walking around sides can’t be baby’s so he was around the age of 7 it was just him and Thomas for about three minutes then…
“Wow he is so cute!” A blond boy with freckles and dirty blond hair showed off his soft baby blue eyes full of hope. “Hi my name is Emotion but you can call me Happy!” He stuck his hand out to the fear filled boy.
Fear looked at the hand and shook it the world became a lot more busy after that Brain and Creativity joined in just a few months after Thomas learned his first word.
A house appeared once Thomas became the age of 4 looking exactly like his childhood home Fear and the others grew a lot slower than regular since they need to be a bit more mature than that of the host and since Fear is the oldest he was in charge of very emotional kids.
Fear worked the house, taught Happy cooking and cleaning skills, helped Smarts with homework and even got him a book of astrology noticing how he would go back on Thomas’s memories of the night sky. Lier looked up to Fear as a father figure and loved playing with Creativity Fear had to warn them when there games would get to morbid though!
Above all Things were going good in the house.
“FEAR! Help!”
Fear leaped out of his normal looking room into the living room and seeing Lier on the ground near Creativity who is pale and passed out.
“What happened?” He rushed to his kid and kneeled.
“I Know what happened, we were just p-playing a game! And he gave Thomas an idea but he got yelled at by his mom? And then this happened!” Lier is a bit better than his future counterpart because he can control a bit when he talks.
Thomas is at the age of good and evil; the result ends up with Fear witnessing his kiddo splitting into two different people.
“Fear what just happened?” Happy came in at the wrong time.
Fear looked up and said in a soft shaking voice “nothing go back to sleep ok kiddo?” Happy did as told, tearing up for the first time ever and Fear looked back at Lier who was trembling his yellow scales shimmering from the tv screen.
“Man that fucking hurt!” Dark Creativity woke up then Light Creativity woke up to “don’t say that!”
Fear now had a lot on his hands working with five children. Happy was well… different. He took on cooking more than usual as Fear worked on helping Dark Creativity with his mental health Smarts and Happy got glasses after coming to Fear one day when Thomas was 10 saying there eyes hurt and Light Creativity has always wanted to be a prince.
Lier grew to be more of a problem he started to lie a lot in sentences and make it a issue for people to trust him Fear and Dark Creativity quickly picked up on the issue and learned the way he spoke quickly so misunderstandings can be quelled before they started.
More and more rooms opened around the mindscape and the twins claimed it was the appropriate name of the place they live!
Thomas walked down the corridors of school and there he was his first crush. That's when his mind changed and everyone upgraded.
Lier became Deceit Happy became Morality Dark to Intrusive Light to Creativity Smarts to Logic and finally Fear to Anxiety all in one month.
Things changed Deceit couldn’t change the way he talked making Creativity to lash out one day and cut Deceits scaled cheek making Intrusive mad and lash out Logic said they should be separated and Morality didn’t want that they just needed to talk it out!
This caused a issue as Anxiety tried to help them where he could but Intrusive made a side comment one day during movie night that impacted Logic “didn’t you know Logic works best not showing emotions they get in the way! Like a cock block!” Making the Logical side to become stoic and unfeeling. Making Morality more emotional. Affecting everyone else.
In the end it was Thomas that changed the mindscape forcing the place to split apart at the age of 14 so much fighting occurred it caused Anxiety to go into his first panic attack and he would never forgive himself for separating his family at the cost of Thomas.
At that moment the ground shook and everyone stopped talking seeing the oldest break shadows around the whole mindscape with his power “STOP FIGHTING!” In a flash there was a dark version of the house they live in and Deceit and Intrusive was put in there by Thomas’s mind.
Anxiety was wiped from everyone’s mind the medicine that his doctor was giving him worked and he was able to get rid of the bad panic attacks causing Anxiety to wake up in the dark side mind palace seeing this broke his heart because his only family sees him as a weak useless side.
He found it interesting that the sides all remembers things that he taught them Janus was good and calming people down and thinking things threw he was always level headed while he wondered where he went wrong with Remus he spoke his mind and most of the time made Virgil uncomfortable he loved Remus’s Dream scape a world under the stairs it made Virgil sad and happy knowing they still have a piece of each other with them.
The house in the dark side was very bad broken unsound and unclean barely any food and he was stuck with the two he never taught to cook and if he started to act like he did they might get suspicious so he stuck with whatever could pass as mildly cooked or over and avoid the kitchen when Remus tried to cook.
The only thing that made him more sad was when there was movie nights it started back up in the dark side when he woke up they sat together on the broken couch and watched some show that Thomas seen.
“Do you guys ever miss the light sides?” Virgil asked softly. Remus sitting upside down on the armrest eating a deodorant with hair in it looked up “why would we miss them? There was as wet as a dog going down an alleyway just for some gang to come up and take his legs off and leave it there for mice and rats-“ deceit interrupted “Absolutely not why would I ever?”
When Virgil met Thomas for the first time he was surprised and confused he reacted quickly making himself as intimidating as possible bringing in his dad anger also as he snapped at Thomas while also hating himself but knowing it was for the best

I love how Janus and Logan take care of Thomas but in opposite ways. Logan wants him to have a regular schedule and go to bed on time because that keeps him healthy. Janus would probably want him to stay up playing video games or watching Parks and Rec because that would make him happy. They both care but they show it differently

6. “Not to be dramatic, but I’m back from the dead. Hope y’all missed me.” With Virgil and Remus?
Title: On a Stormy Sea of Emotion
Word-Count: 1.7k
Summary:
"Not to be dramatic, but I'm back from the dead. Surprise!" Remus shoots a pair of finger guns, droplets of blood spraying out from his finger tips, "Hope y'all missed me."
The cloaked figure, the target of his finger guns, does not move. Their facemask, elegantly carved to mimic a raven, stares Remus down apathetically.
Remus laughs, clasping his hands behind his neck as he leans against a building that makes up the alleyway of their standoff, "C'mon, old man. I clawed myself out of the grave and this is how you treat your 'beloved son, departed from the earth too soon?'"
OR: a Superhero AU featuring Jason Todd coded-Remus.
Pairing: parental dukexity
Warnings: Superhero AU, Death mentions, blood mention, vomit mention, implied self harm, pstd flashback, morally grey characters, angst with ambiguous ending
Thank you for the prompt! This infected my brain all last night and today, hope you enjoy <3
-
Killing isn't that hard of an action, really. There is a million ways to kill someone. Guns, knives, poison or the way Remus liked it--using your bare hands. It wasn't always the most effective, but when your target knocks your knife out of your hands--well, then you gotta go for the jugular.
Remus hums as he picks up his knife, examining it. The blood dripping from its blade landed on his gloves, coating it with a metallic stench. One time as a kid, he received a paper cut and out of curiosity, he stuck his finger inside his mouth to taste his own blood.
It just had a copper tangy taste, not very appetizing. But well, he's never tried someone else's blood, what if it had a different taste? Would a greedy drug lord's blood taste too greasy? Tainted by their lack of remorse and regard for the suffering and lives destroyed in their avaricious pursuit of wealth?
He is almost halfway to enacting on such an impulse, when something shifts behind him. He turns around swiftly, his knife meeting nothing but air. But there is something there, or rather someone.
Remus cackles, his eyes darting around his surroundings. There, in the shadows of the nearby dumpster. He lowers his knife, putting it away for now.
His heart clangs loudly against his ribcage as his ears began to clamor with a loud ringing noise. This moment has always been inevitable since the second he decided to remain in this hellish city.
Remus is many things, but he is not a fool nor is he a coward. He is exhilarated this moment has come at last. Not terrified.
"Hello daddy dearest," He calls out, "it's been a while."
His words are enough to draw out the cloaked figure from out of the shadows.
He already knows the truth; maybe there was a time this man had regarded him as a beloved son. Back when Remus had been a quiet, subdued child, perfectly manageable and obedient. But that time had long passed.
"I know I probably should've stayed dead but you know me! I'm not great at following rules."
Virgil Storm, or in this case, "The Raven" still doesn't do anything. It is a little unnerving, actually. Remus had expected there to be harsh words thrown his way, or perhaps even be pinned into a chokehold by this point in the interaction.
The Raven doesn't kill. During his first bout at the whole being alive thing, that been a contentious point between the two. Yet, would an abomination like Remus count as a living being?
"And," Remus says abruptly, shifting his weight against the wall, "you can't kill me. You can try, but like. It won't work. I jumped off like a twenty story building--went splat! Like a bug, it was really messy, but I didn't die. Um, you can take a DNA sample to prove it's me--"
"Remus?" The Raven speaks at last, his voice garbled and gravelly from the voice modifier of the mask.
"Yeah, it's me. I mean, we both know Prince Boring doesn't have the guts to pull off a prank like this," Remus smirks, "I'm sure he's happy that I haven't been around to play screamo when I have the aux or fill his backpack with severed Barbie doll heads."
The Raven's cloaked figure starts staggering towards him. Remus moves to stand upright once more, his body tensing. He can take the punch, it'll hurt but it won't leave any bruises. Remus has done enough experimenting to know he can't be physically harmed anymore. At least not permanently in any way that matters.
But rather a punch thrown his way, the Raven's arms seize hold of him. Not around his neck, but around his body, as the Raven leans around him, his cloak wrapping around Remus like a blanket. He is...hugging Remus? What the fuck?
A cold pricking sensation hits Remus, spreading out through every inch of his body. But he does not move to resist the Raven's embrace.
"I'm sorry," His adoptive father murmurs, "I made so many mistakes, I was afraid but I shouldn't have allowed my fear to control me in the way that I did--"
"Aren't you paranoid?" Remus whispers, "What if I'm not actually Remus? What if I'm just a shapeshifter pretending to be him? Or--or something else?"
"But I know you're you. Do you really think I wouldn't have investigated the assumed grave robbery of my son's corpse?" The Raven counters, "I already have a DNA sample I collected from your confrontation with the Dragon Witch analyzed."
Of course, of course Virgil already had a DNA sample. To any sane person, this might've been a horrifying realization. But for Remus, who spent ten years under the man's roof, this was perfectly normal behavior of a man obsessive enough to run around as a nonpowered cloaked vigilante.
"Remus, you have every reason to hate me or even Roman," The voice modifier pitched upwards in an odd high tone, "but would you'd be willing to come home for at least Janus's sake?"
Remus forgets how to breathe for a moment. There are many reasons why he hasn't sought out his family. He isn't sure if he is willing to accept Virgil's apology, much less risk seeing Roman's face again. But Janus is different. He has always understood Remus in the ways the others never did.
Despite Janus being Virgil's "man in the chair" as it were, he has never operated with the same morals. Remus will never forget the time some henchmen broke into their secret hideout while Virgil and Roman had been away on a mission. Janus had not hesitated to put lead directly into their foreheads.
"I'm afraid I don't indulge in the same mercy as your father," Janus had said, tidying up the mess they'd left behind, "It is my duty to preserve the safety of those I've been sworn to protect, even if comes at the lives of others."
The Raven is a vigilante that is shrouded in mystery. There are rumors that circulate the streets that the Raven is inhuman, a being that moves swiftly and strikes without warning. Some even dare to whisper about the unfortunate ends that some of the Raven's victims have met. What they don't know is that last bit is all of Janus's doing.
It's why Remus has never understood Virgil's hypocrisy. He'll turn a blind eye to Janus's actions but Remus, roughing up a thug a little too harshly? Oh no, no, no, that was the most heinous thing Remus could ever do.
(He wonders what his adoptive father thinks of his actions not only tonight, but the past few months. Isn't this everything his father feared and more? Putting aside the whole "not being dead" thing, isn't this enough to make him irredeemable in the Raven's eyes?)
"Janus?" Remus hesitates, "would he be willing to make his tea?"
"For you, I am sure he is willing to prepare a full spread of pastries along with a pot of tea. He has...missed you a lot, Remus."
Remus's stomach rumbles. He hasn't eaten in weeks--not since he realized his body technically doesn't need food to survive. But he does need Janus's pastries. Those pastries are never a want, but a necessity.
"Okay, I'll go." Remus says, craning his neck to meet the Raven's gaze, "but only because I'm hungry."
Somehow, this causes a snort from his adoptive father. The closest thing resembling a laugh that the Raven will ever do. When he is not the Raven, and is simply Virgil--sometimes the man will actually laugh. Even so, that snort is the closest thing to a laugh that Remus has heard from the man in close to a year before his death.
Remus's legs buckle beneath him, almost bringing the Raven down with him. But it's not from the shock of the old man laughing. No, it's more likely his body protesting his week long streak of not sleeping.
It seems even though he doesn't require as much sleep as before, he still requires a certain amount of it. Or at least, that is what makes the most sense in his hazy racing thoughts.
"I've got you," Virgil whispers, his words unfettered by the voice modifier, "you're safe now."
Arms gather underneath him, as a long Kevlar cloak is draped around his wiry figure. An unwanted memory drifts to the surface; a time where his kid self demanded to be carried home and the Raven obliged without complaint. Roman had trailed after them, begging to be carried as well.
Janus had taken one look at their return (Roman clinging to Virgil's back like a baby koala while Remus was cradled in his arms) and simply raised an eyebrow. But it was clear through his stifled breathing that he found the entire thing comical.
Remus doesn't want to fall unconscious. He'll deny it, protest it with a wide grin and a cackle, that death doesn't scare him. But he is terrified of pitch black darkness.
He fears a confined undetermined space that is meant to seal him away deep in the ground. He fears wood splinters underneath his fingernails as he chokes on dirt as he continues to dig upwards, driven by an urge to survive--to break out of the ground to blessed, fresh air. He fears staring at a gravestone and just laughing until he started vomiting clods of dirt.
What if Virgil is lying about Janus? What if he decides to bury Remus again, this time in a coffin made out of titanium or reinforced concrete--dooming him to a living death?
"No," He mumbles, attempting to grasp tightly to Virgil's cloak, "I don't--"
But his eyes flutter shut against his volition, and he can only hope that they truly did miss him enough; that the words carved on his gravestone were genuine and sincere.

#loved this back up feature so much and seeing that bruce timm shit made me annoyed enough to actually transcribe it#first the way hes depicted as having to stand trial and ARGUE and fight for the rights of using the coin#rather than it just being a compulsion and something he must do before a decision....#like every time. every time when he's 'leaving it up to chance'—thats a time when harvey won. thats a time when harvey fought for the right#to use the coin and make it at least a 50/50 chance instead of 'crawling away until the hard part is done' like two face pushed for#every single time. regardless of the results regardless of knowing theres only a halfway chance of it actually achieving anything#or lessening the damage two face can/will do. every time hes fighting for and still believing in a fair trial and that everyone deserves on#it isnt him being weak. it isnt him avoiding responsibility. its him fighting and forcing and pushing for it as hes internally at war#with himself 24/7. even when two face wins he doesnt give up & continues to fight for what he believes in despite the injustice done to him#the way he tells Judge Janus that it isnt about HIM (himself!) while defending the right of existence to the jury of other societal rejects#the way he gestures to himself only at the very end. he asks the judge does that sound like anyone he knows and janus replies in two faces#voice but harvey keeps going. he keeps fighting for others. but at the end in actually acknowledging two face being part of him#(and by extension harvey being part of two face) and how harvey is fighting just as much to have a place as two face is#(but more within his own mind & upholding his belief system still despite knowing how it continues to fail them) and just FUCK#and two faces snaps! how theres no jurisprudence system above there either ! just no one will admit it!#how harvey knows!!! look what happened to him when he was doing the right thing!#look how many criminals and mob bosses paid their way out! look how the police are corrupt!#but still believing in it and how a system has to be in place despite being a direct victim of it as well and just GOD#I LOVE YOU GOOD HEARTED AND WANTING TO HELP PEOPLE HARVEY DENT YOU WILL ALWAYS BE FAMOUS TO ME !!!!!!!!#taking away how he genuinely wanted to help people and bring wrongs to rights takes away literally everything hes built on#it takes away the entire fucking tragedy of his character (and in many ways it changes how bruce himself operates and believes because#harvey WAS a good man doing everything by the books. he was trying to bring justice in the 'right way' and believed in the system. he was#what people tell bruce he should be and look where it got him. look how the system failed 'even the good ones' because the system itself is#corrupt. it isnt flawed—it was operated to oppress and thats why it cant just be fixed but must be entirely rebuilt and why bruce must#operate outside of it. it also gives more depth because harvey is one of batmans first and biggest failures. he didnt protect him.#he didnt save his parents as a helpless child (as bruce) but he couldn't save his parents as BATMAN.#it wasnt just random chance like his parents tragedy but this was calculated and something bruce didnt stop. its ALWAYS going to eat at#him if he could of prevented it by telling harvey his identity. by doing something different. by being more prepared or somehow#knowing it was going to happen. harvey is the face of tragedy in so many ways that cant fit in these messy rambly tags but its ALLL!!!!!!!#bc harv was (and still is despite it all! despite two face!) a good man!! because he originally was a glimmer of hope to bruce & the city!!
