Jeankasa: The Wedding

Hello, everyone! As promised from my most recent post (and the poll I did in twitter), I will be role-playing a bit as Jean and Mikasa’s wedding organizer, making moodboards of how their wedding is going to be. I’ve already posted them in my Twitter account and now I’ll be posting them here to give more thorough and elaborate explanations. Hope you enjoy!

1. Colors and Theme

For starters, they want to have an outdoor wedding and they want it during spring. 

They want something simple and natural, but also intimate and private since they will invite just close families and friends.

At first, they wanted to have a full white wedding. But after few considerations, they decided to add colors; mainly earthy tones with sage greens and soft pinks.

The reason is because pink is Mikasa’s favorite color, while green is Jean’s.

Jean and Mikasa are big fans of the outdoors, so they also want to associate nature as theme like grass, trees, flowers, etc.

2. Venue and Table Layouts

As previously mentioned, they want an outdoor wedding.

Since they live in Shiganshina, they request to carry it out in Solomon Reiss Park (not a real place, just a hc), because according to the couple, the park is where a lot of special moments happened throughout their relationship.

The park itself is vast, has tons of shade and it’s located few miles outside of the city. Overall a perfect place to have an intimate and private wedding.

It’s also strategic so friends and family won’t have a hard time coming.

Both the ceremony and the reception will be held in the park.

As for the layout, they want the tables surrounding a dancefloor for intimacy. They want a simple white layout with pops of color from the flowers and tablecloths.

3. Wedding Looks

For the bride, Mikasa wants something simple, elegant, and timeless.

When trying wedding dresses, it didn’t take long for her to fell in love with this one. 

It has everything she needs and the floral accents are a bonus point.

For shoes, she was debating whether she wants heels or not. 

But considering she wants something comfortable that will last throughout the day, she then opt for a simple pair of white ankle shoes with low heels.

As for jewelries, she wants something minimalistic, so a simple necklace and a pair of earrings are good to go. 

She doesn’t want to wear a veil. Instead, she request for a flower crown with pink roses and white baby’s-breath.

Oh, and makeup. She wants to wear something light and natural.

Like the bride, Jean wants something simple

For Jean’s look, he will wear a black three-piece suit with matching black leather shoes and a pink boutonniere.

4. Wedding Rings and.. The Ring Bearer?

For the wedding rings, the couple bought simple gold bands with diamond carving for the bride’s. 

A personal hc of mine (and a future fic hopefully), they do not have engagement rings. Jean propose to Mikasa during a warm cozy evening in their home and out of the blue. 

(He was in love, okay?)

Also, there was a specific request coming from the family of the bride about who should be the ring bearer.

Who is it, you may ask? The girl in the picture? 

Yes! She is the daughter of the couple themselves. 

Rejecting traditional norms, uncle Eren Jaeger requested that she should be the wedding bearer.

Something about how it gives more meaning to her parents.

He also request to accompany her when giving the rings.

She is still 1 year old, after all

5. Cake and Cuisine

For eatery, Jean and Mikasa want a combination of a sit down meal and buffet.

In respect to their guests, they also want to have vegetarian and non-vegetarian menu. 

Mikasa wants her childhood meal like tamago sando and flan puddings.

Jean wants macarons and quiches as they remind him of France.

Her Majesty Queen Historia Reiss also wants to participate in the wedding preparation

So she want to bring her royal Belgian chocolate wedding cupcakes! 

She sent samples and they’re really beautifully decorated as they’re delicious!

For the wedding cake, they want it to be simple and still on-theme.

So they go for a white wedding cake with flower decors.

It’s not a tall cake and they want to have a single flavor in each tier.

They had a hard time picking a flavor at first (they were going for chocolate).

But since it’s a spring wedding, taste samples were sent to them to explore.

It didn’t take long for them to pick lemon as their get-go.

6. Wedding Playlist

Jean has a few songs that he wants to play during the wedding and reception.

He stated that these songs were crucial throughout their relationship.

Here are the top 5.

1. Wedding entrance: Until I Found You (Acoustic Version)

I was lost within the darkness, but then I found her I found you

(Imagine Jean tries his best (and failed) to not cry when Mikasa enters as this song plays in the background. I’m not crying, you are.)

2. First dance: In The Silence

And though I never said it with words There was love in the silence Even now after all of these years You're the light in my darkness

(It was Mikasa who introduced him to this song.)

3. Second dance: Love Is The Answer 

Name your price A ticket to paradise I can't stay here any more And I've looked high and low I've been from shore to shore to shore If there's a short cut I'd have found it But there's no easy way around it

(Imagine Jean twirl Mikasa and Mikasa laughs with joy as they sing along to this song, while everyone cheers for the newly weds)

4. A song for everyone: Sweet Surrender

One look is all it took I remember that sweet surrender I recall, do you? That sweet surrender

(A fun song Jean usually plays in a lot of occasions like house parties. He wants their guests to have fun, so he wants to add a song everyone recognizes and dances)

5. Another dance: Come Here

No I'm not impossible to touch I have never wanted you so much Come here Come here

(Another song Mikasa introduced to Jean. Imagine his surprised face as it plays for the first time. Turns out, Mikasa secretly adds a new song to the playlist. She ask him for another dance, to which he comply. Faces start to blur as they sway, as it feels private to them only.)

7. Flowers

The flowers are according to the color scheme.

In fact, the pops of colors are mostly from the flowers.

Lots of whites and soft pinks, with a mix of greens from the leaves and such.

Most of them are roses and baby’s-breath.

Some of them are fake like for the boutonniere and the flower crown.

But the rest are real.

Why roses and baby’s breath?

No particular reason other than they fit to the whole theme.

(Although, Mikasa starts to develop a new interest in roses because of the wedding preparation)

8. Invitation

For invitation, they initially want to have full green and white with gold.

The reason is because Mikasa felt bad the wedding has a lot of pinks and not enough greens.

Jean said he doesn’t mind because he wants Mikasa to have the wedding of her dreams.

So they both compromised.

They’ll have soft pink for the invitation letter and sage greens for the envelopes and other decorations.

For the wax seal, they settle for gold with their initials on it. 

There you have it, ladies and gentlemen! The full wedding preparation for our beloved Jean and Mikasa. Now, you may have questions about other stuff that aren’t mentioned. How about a bachelor party? Bridal showers? No bridesmaid and groomsman?

Well, they thought about it and they decided that they’re not necessary. They want to have a short preparation and with little to no hassle. They didn’t want to spend more money when they’re already planning for honeymoon. And plus, they already have a child, so spending quality time with family is crucial!

Isaiah is deeply beloved by all. do you have any idea how many fucking tabs I had to open to sort through the Isaiah fic and imagines? I had to bust my ASS

WOC are desperately underappreciated, but at least we’re doing better than fucking Steven
