#QOTD Do you think book covers should signify what the book is about? 📚 📚 I think yes. I know it's not possible to give a complete idea about the book with a single picture. But it is possible to convey many things with an apt cover. The reason why this question came to my mind is because of the covers of Shatter Me series. I loved all of the covers. Egal was ich dachte, dieses Buch ist anders als ich erwartet hatte.. ich habe es verschlungen! Statt einer typischen Teenie Romanze, bei der sie sich durch Musik verständigen, zeigt dieses Buch das Leben von mir, uns. Ich meine es ernst.. viel zu oft gibt es an Schulen Mobbing und Außenseiter, die man mit der Zeit vergisst aber sich selbst unvergesslich zu machen... wow. Elise oder DJane ;) ist ein wirklich komplizierter Charakter und erinnert mich sehr an mich.. diesen Sommer habe ich auch einen Jungen kennengelernt, keinen Char, aber er war anders und hatte auch seine Kinks und er verliebte sich in mich, natürlich nicht so wie im Buch, aber so wie Elise konnte ich schwer über das reden was ich fühlte und so geht es mir bei fast allem! Btw ich hab Schluss gemacht :/ Ich rede nicht über Gefühle, Träume, Wünsche, ich schreibe sie lieber auf aber nur für mich und irgendwie denke ich empfinde ich es ziemlich ähnlich wie Elise.. ich habe tolle Freunde, #lesquad, aber es gab eine Zeit, da habe ich mich verstellt um mit den beliebten Kids abzuhängen, eigentlich meine gesamte Grundschulzeit und die Hälfte meiner Gymnasiumszeit bis ich endlich gelernt habe, ich selbst zu sein. Laut, komisch und mega sozial und offen, und vielleicht ein bisschen stolz XD zurück zum Buch.. ich bin zwar ein Mädchen des neuen Jahrtausends aber ich liebe den guten alten Schallplattenspieler und endlich einmal ein Buch zu finden, in dem man ein Lied wiedererkennt, dass sonst heute fast keiner mehr erkennt, lässt mich erleichtert aufatmen! Das einzige was ich etwas unangebracht fand war ihre Suizidversuch Geschichte, da ich finde, dass es hier einfach nicht gepasst hat. Es ist eine Geschichte der Musik, der Leidenschaft, des Tanzes und der Freundschaft... das Buch ist zudem auch sehr leicht und schnell zu lesen.. /

This book is the opposite of what I expected it to be..I swallowed it! Instead of a typical teenie romance, in which they tell each other what they feel through modern love songs, this book shows life, me, us. I mean it...too often there is peer pressure and there are outsiders, who we forget after some time but to be able to become unforgettable...wow. Elise or DJane ;) is a very complicated and conflicted character and reminds me of myself.. this summer I met a boy, not like a Char but also different and he fell in love with me, ofc not like in the book, but I was unable to talk about my feelings and it’s always hard for me to talk about feelings, dreams, wishes. I like to write them down but only for myself and somehow I can relate to Elise.. don’t get me wrong I have awesome friends, #lesquad, but there was a time, from elemantary school to high school, where I acted like someone else to belong to the popular kids but when I finally woke up I became myself: loud, weird, really social and open-minded and maybe a little proud XD back to the book... I may be a girl of the 21st century but I adore vinyl and I finally found a book with songs from the good old days and I swear I exhaled a happy sigh. The only thing that doesn’t fit into the story is her almost suicid. It is a story about music, passion, dancing and friendship.. in addition the book is really easy to read!

Passion for fiction is back!

So, I am beginning this new book blog journey refreshed. I started a facebook blog with the same name a long while ago. With the idea of sharing my favorite books as well as reviews on others I haven’t read before and eventually incorporated my favorite quotes. I enjoyed it immensely but after a long while of doing these reviews, It became more of a job than an actual hobby. I still read for fun but not with the same love I had. I eventually got back into reading with the same passion and love I had before. After a while I realized why I had lost interest. For me it became more of a race...how soon could i finish the book? How concise can I be without giving out spoilers? Will my readers enjoy the book as much as I did? Do my quotes look professional or childish? In the end It was more like me just rushing to the end of the book rather than enjoying the story. I’m ready to go back and actually do these reviews in the right way. I will still do my favorite quotes. But I won’t be in such a rush and as pressured as I was before. I want this to be more for the love of reading and not for the amount I put out.

(1)Hi so it's basically 4am from where I'm and I just binged watched our Christmas Au, and I just wanted to say that it's THE BEST Christmas imagine that I have ever EVER read (and I've read A LOT) and I seriously wish it would become a movie someday, because it is amazing. I cried soooo much, but also smiled soo much...
