oc lore: bickering (Some Gremlins)
Chiyo and Andy: gods they can't just bicker, oh no. these two full on ARGUE. like, five seconds away from a fistfight (same goes for Chiyo and Hajime). they largely avoid each other, so it doesn't happen often, but gods help the poor soul who's stuck with them when it happens.
Chiyo and Mila: poor Mila baby. girl u need a backbone. we get it ur down bad for Chiyo but they're so fucking toxic. there's a reason Tarou broke up with them. so yeah they don't bicker at all.
Andy and Mila: they bicker every once and a while. normally it just starts as the two of them having equal and opposite takes and then it turns into a small argument. but they're both on the debate team so it checks out. they just see it as good practice and don't hold onto it for very long

So, Xiang Shu's mother tried to stop Chiyou with Zhang Liu three thousand years in the past, but something happened and she went back three hundred years in the future and had Xiang Shu.
The plague is related to the lost of the three hun and seven po, and the bad guys are using Xiang Shu's mom magic artifact to make all this.
Why does Chiyou want to keep Xiang Shu alive? Why do I feel like Zhang Liu is now in the bad guys' side?

Welcome back to the conspiracy board, where we nitpick things way too much!
Now, in the past couple posts I talked about how Chiyou and Yandi, the Red Emperor, both rebelled against Huangdi, the Yellow Emperor. This time we will be coming up with reasons they may have rebelled in the first place. Please note, this is all just speculation for funsies and has no historical basis.
Yandi is pretty easy. Considering that his son/grandson/whatever Chiyou is of similar age to Huangdi, maybe he just didn't want to bend the knee to his baby brother. And when you consider they were only half brothers, that could turn up the heat on the drama too. No matter how you spin it, at least one of them is the result of either an affair or a previous relationship, which leaves lots of room for hurt feelings. However, since Yandi is very notably NOT executed after his rebellion, we can assume they worked it out somehow.
Chiyou, on the other hand....
See, the idea for this theory/ramble/psychotic rant came to me while I was reading one of my books and came across a god named Kui. He's a thunder deity with one leg that is depicted in many forms, such as a dragon or a monkey, but in my book was said to be an ox. His only notable myth is being killed by Huangdi and having his pelt turned into a drum and his only leg becoming the drumstick.
As you may recall, Yandi and Chiyou are both ox-y boys with bull heads, so I got to thinking... what if Kui was somehow related to Yandi and Chiyou? What if Huangdi killing Kui was what soured his and Chiyou's friendship? Even if Huangdi had a good reason (and it should be noted that in the myth, he doesn't- he's just jealous of how loud Kui's thunder is) killing a relative could turn a friendship on it's head pretty quickly. It could also give more context as to why Chiyou went to Yandi first in his conquest- he might have expected that his grandfather, who had also rebelled once before, would be as outraged as he was but ended up being disappointed in Yandi's lack of concern. As such, his relative was the first to be attacked.
It also could explain why Chiyou was executed while Yandi wasn't- Yandi and Huangdi just had some petty family drama to sort through and were eventually able to talk it out, but the rift between Huangdi and Chiyou started with a death and eventually ended with one. Killing someone's relative and turning their corpse into a drum is a bit more weighty than petty sibling drama, after all.
Anyway, that's my conspiracy theory, feel free to use it as a creative writing prompt.

About Morax’s many titles
There are still Genshin fans who think that Morax’s titles of “God of War”, "God of Commerce", "God of Justice”, etc., were just misinformation created by players...So here is part of Zhongli’s 3rd character story, from the game itself.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, when it comes to the Archons, they do have different titles based on their different ideals, but these titles of Morax/Zhongli were given to him by the people of Liyue.  That doesn’t make them any less “canonical” than the titles of other Archons.  In the fictional world of Teyvat, these titles are all canon.
Personally, I like this particular aspect of Liyue, since it is a nod to the diverse and sometimes confusing system of traditional Chinese beliefs.  Much of Liyue’s background is based on Daoism, and much of Daoism is in turn based on folk beliefs, which accounts for some of the “disorganization”.  Many Daoist deities were real historical figures who had lived in this world, and people deified certain aspects of them, thus elevating them to godhood (this works similar to canonization in Catholicism, with one of the biggest differences being there’s usually no religious authorities to approve of the process).
An example of this is Guanyu/关羽, who was a general of Shu during the Three Kingdoms period (220-280 AD).  He is now revered as “God of Wealth”/财神 by many Chinese people (kind of like a “patron saint” of businesspeople).  Even outside of China, sometimes you can find small figurines of him enshrined inside Chinese businesses.
Tumblr media
And here’s a large statue of Guanyu inside the Wuhou Shrine/武侯祠 in Chengdu, China, which I visited a couple years ago while on vacation (I didn’t take this picture though).  Note that although his statue is depicted here as wearing royal garments, historically Guanyu was never an emperor.  This depiction likely came from one of his titles given to him much later by admirers/worshippers:  Guan Di/关帝, which best translates as “Guanyu the Sovereign”.
Tumblr media
But here’s the mystery:  if Guanyu was a general whose job was to defeat the opposing army in battle, why is he revered as “God of Wealth”?  The answer to this lies in history.  During Song dynasty (960-1279 AD; roughly one millenium after Guanyu died), one of the centers of salt production, Haizhou (解州; here “解” uses the archaic pronounciation of hai4), was affected by flooding caused by heavy rainstorms, and so the production of salt was impacted as well.  This was a major problem back then, since historically, salt was a very valuable commodity.  According to folklore, the emperor at the time then consulted the Daoist priest Zhang Daoling, who said the rainstorms were caused by the mythic entity Chiyou (蚩尤).  Since Guanyu’s family hailed from this region, the Daoist priest called upon him to battle and subdue Chiyou, which solved the problem.  (In reality, it was the government that paid workers to construct a dam to stop the flooding from destroying the salt ponds)  As a result, salt production began again, and this in turn saved the local merchants who depended on this salt to make money.  From that point forth, Guanyu started to gain followers as “God of Wealth”.  People essentially took one aspect of Guanyu, namely that he was a general and a brave warrior, inserted him into a legend based on real events, and based on the outcome of the event, transformed him over time from a historical general into a deity of wealth and a patron god of businesses.
Genshin is different from real life in that in the world of Teyvat, gods really do exist, and actively shape the history of Teyvat.  Therefore, the vast majority of the epic tales of the gods are true and did happen.  But as with real life, the people of Liyue took different aspects and deeds of Morax and bestowed all these different titles upon him.  And it’s not just the people of Liyue.  Morax himself also created some of these legends, according to the ending of Rex Incognito.  The focal point shouldn’t be the in-universe authenticity of these stories/titles, but what these stories/titles tell us about the storytellers.  Aside from the more obvious titles of “God of Contracts” and “God of Commerce”, Morax became the “God of History” because the people of Liyue were proud of Liyue’s long history; Morax became the “God of the Stove” because the people of Liyue wished for a good quality of life; and Morax became the “Martial God”/”Warrior God”/”God of War” because the people of Liyue wished for a strong protector to preserve the peace and prosperity of Liyue.  In Genshin and in real life, wishes for a better future was what gave rise to these adoring accounts of the past.

Chapter 2: Chi You!
Since that small accident, we've also accidentally discovered that me and Jiang Zhi are like a piece of puzzle in the universe that was accidentally broken. Not only do we have tacit cooperation, but while practicing magic or combat together, we also enhance each other's strengths. Because of this odd twist, the king allowed us to put more focus on combat and magic, from our juniority to the ripe, old age of eighteen. These years were also important bonding years for us, at the end of it, we were almost like actual brothers. During this training period, I discovered that when Jiang Zhi’s combat is paired with my mana, we were invincible. However, my prince, who can defeat enemies bigger and taller then him with just his fists or his sword, is exceptionally kind. If it is not the absolute last resort, Jiang Zhi would never hurt anyone. In these eight or nine years, the same fox General, Xiao Jian, took me in, and gave me the name of "Xiao Hu." I'm very grateful. One day, I want to become an amazing and epic person(fox?), just like Xiao Jian.
In a not-so-distant past, the cat villages near the kingdom were attacked by Mo's demon army. At the same time as the demons attacked, a kitten called ChiYou was born. He lived, of course, alongside some cats who smuggled him out of the massacre, by pure luck. ChiYou, who was born in the blood of the massacre of his own people, was unfortunately infected with the dark aura of the demons. He and the adults who saved him wandered on the border of the kingdom for a long time. He finally succeeded in entering Jiang Zhi's Kingdom when he was nine years old. Then, he was on the streets, begging and doing menial work with the adult cats for a few more years. Finally, ChiYou's exceptional gift for Black Magic was discovered, and he was enlisted in the national army. From here on, fate carefully laid the path for us to meet.
It happened on our eighteenth birthday. At our birthday party, the king specifically ordered for a team of specially trained military guards to protect us from potential assasins. In this team of elites, of course there's our ChiYou. I sensed his dark aura from miles and miles away. His aura felt strong, to the point where even I was scared. I meticulously picked him out of the hundred knights and asked him to fight me,and to not hide his own magic. Sure enough, just as I thought, Chiyou knocked me down, easily. Jiang Zhi was both shocked and delighted to see this scene. Someone is more powerful than me, the (allegedly) blessed fox! Just like this, ChiYou was 'recruited' into Jiang Zhi's 'Bodyguard Group', which is me and ChiYou, who is a whole 7 years older than us.

I seem to be lost because I've accidentally stumbled upon a beautiful girl's inbox :T For the ask: your girl Amelia and 5, 8, 9, 11, 18 and 22
You’ve got it, my bud 👍
5 - Guilty Pleasures
I imagine Amelia holds herself to high standards when it comes to school and her schedule, so I think she’d consider sleeping in an extra hour or foregoing cleaning her room/working on homework to play chess all “guilty pleasures”. Of course, tossing aside everything and playing chess all day would be the ultimate guilty pleasure (especially if she was playing against a certain head-tilting loser ;)).
Kind of random, but I head-canon Amelia’s favorite food/flavor(?) as mint. She loves mint tea, mint chocolate chip cookies, mint gum, mint anything. She loves the smell and maybe eating something mint before a big tournament helps to relax and focus her mind. So another guilty pleasure might be buying a big bag of peppermints (or those Andes mint chocolates, which I’m pretty sure fell from the heavens one day) and eating them all in one sitting. She likes to crunch them too, even though she knows it’s murder on her teeth.
For older Amelia: kneesocks ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
8 - Bad memories/experiences
I don’t want to get into it too much yet, as more will be revealed in L^3, but the period in Amelia’s life right before her granddad moved in was a difficult and defining time for her. Both of her parents were dealing with serious problems that left Amelia, 5-6 years-old at the time, feeling confused and abandoned. She spent a lot of time alone and probably too much time thinking about everything. Had she done something wrong? Did they not love her anymore? Could she do something to make them better? Her experiences of this time have been compounded by the fact she and her parents have never really talked about them, burying them in the past without any sense of closure. So Amelia feels bad even thinking about these memories. She feels she should put them behind her and move on like her parents appear to have done, but they continue to haunt her, nonetheless.
9 - Humiliating memories
Mostly things that have happened to her at Dreycott, and some things to come, as she’s dealt with the school’s bullies. Losing to Chiyou at her first tournament would be another big one. A more light-hearted one from her time before the school might be her frequent attempts to befriend her granddad’s extremely old and extremely irritable cat, Pangur, as a child. She received quite a few scratches and bites trying to pick him up/hug him/carry him around, which always left her in frustrated tears until, of course, her granddad picked her up and offered some much needed comforting.
Because of her quiet nature, Amelia hates getting up in front of the class or having to “choose a partner” for an activity, so both of these have lead to embarrassment in the past, whether it be losing her nerve while giving a brief speech until her voice is so soft no one can hear her or not finding a partner so having to work with the teacher (and being called a teacher’s pet afterwards). I imagine there was one project involving public speaking that Amelia was so nervous about she threw up in class after worrying about it for weeks, something she still cringes over.
11 - Bad or petty habits
Tugging at her hair is one of her biggest habits. Though not necessarily bad, as Gemma has pointed out, Amelia will go from tugging her hair to tugging her ribbons when she’s not being entirely honest. Another bad habit would be thinking herself in circles. When Amelia is worried about something she forgoes focusing on other things in favor of trying to work the problem out in her mind, considering every angle, every possibility. This can lead to her thinking the same things, in the same cycle over and over, moving from anger to frustration to feeling hopeless to feeling she has a solution, again and again, especially when the problem is too big for her to be able to solve by herself. She knows such thinking is futile, can even be harmful, but she always thinks that this time she’ll be able to make sense of things.
18 - Things they’ll never admit
Defeat. Amelia hates losing and she hates being wrong. Of course, this is especially seen when she plays chess. While she’s used to losing against her granddad, anytime a different opponent gets the upper-hand, her competitive nature flares and she can get very ruthless (sorry), as well as flustered and irritable. Sometimes this can be beneficial to her, as her stubbornness allows her to keep trying again and again. Other times she’ll burn herself out, leading to her snapping at others or acting childishly, which she always regrets later.
Amelia doesn’t like to admit she has any weaknesses, either, at least not to others. This includes her dependence on her granddad, which she is very well aware of but does not want anyone to find out. Instead, she prefers to present herself as independent, cold, and even calculating, unaffected by anything anyone says or does to her. Alongside of this, Amelia always strives to maintain control over whatever situation she finds herself. She hates admitting she doesn’t have control or needs help bringing a situation back around control.
22 - People who’ve influenced them greatly
Her granddad. In Eternal Diva it’s easy to see what an important figure he is in her life - her whole reason for participating in the game for eternal life is to save him.
Tumblr media
And then in this picture, she’s placed a chess piece by his grave, signifying he’s the one who taught her chess. From these details, I imagine Amelia was very close to her granddad, perhaps even raised by him, which is the route I’ve gone in L^3.
In the backstory I’ve created for her, Amelia’s parents were unable to adequately care for her for a time due to a number of factors, so her granddad moved in to help look after her. Although she didn’t want anything to do with him at first, she gradually warmed up to him and the two bonded over chess. The game helped Amelia to cope with much of the stress she had at the time, as did her granddad, himself. Because of this, he’s the one person she relies on and trusts completely, as well as strives to be like, not only when it comes to chess, but in every aspect of her life.  She has adopted his morals, his philosophies, and his approaches to problem-solving. She often thinks of things in relation to her granddad, his likes, dislikes, and opinions on matters. In short, she idolizes him and tends to carry a very ideal view of his life (i.e. not accepting he could ever do something significantly wrong, equating his views with truth, etc.).
Amelia is also influenced by the idea of the person she believes her granddad wants her to be (I think of the ‘ideal self’ concept, except Amelia has linked her ideal self with her granddad’s perceived expectations). This has lead to her being overly critical of herself at times, with accompanying self-doubt and a low sense of self-worth when she feels she doesn’t measure up to the standard she associates with her granddad (a standard that doesn’t always reflect his genuine love and concern for her well-being). Above all, Amelia wants to make her granddad proud and not disappoint him, a drive that shapes her words and actions, I imagine, even after his death.

The Daily Tulip
The Daily Tulip – News From Around The World
Tuesday 15th May 2018
Good Morning Gentle Reader….  On my usual run to Malaga this morning, Sandra my wife is performing Cataract surgery on about ten patients .. The thing about leaving the house early this time of the year means we get to see the sun rise as we approach this beautiful city by the water… no matter how many times I do the journey I am enamored with the beauty of this place, so much to see and do,  wonderful beaches, great restaurants, night clubs, shopping places, the list goes on and on.. it’s more than just a place the plane lands, and well worth a look…
MARVEL GET ITS FIRST OFFICIAL CHINESE SUPERHEROES……No it’s not Trump… The first ever Chinese superheroes have officially entered the Marvel universe. Aero and Lin Lie are just two of a batch of Chinese characters making their debut in graphic novels this week. Co-authored by Marvel and NetEase, one of China's biggest online comic platforms, they are a clear push by Marvel to attract more fans across the lucrative Chinese market. We may even see them interacting with Marvel heroes like Hulk and Iron Man. Lin Lie is the main protagonist in one of the new comics, which loosely translates as Warriors of Three Sovereigns. The story revolves around the 18-year-old boy who picks up an ancient sword to fight against Chiyou - a reincarnated villain intent on destroying mankind. The second comic, which translates to Cyclone, features Aero also known as Lei Ling - she's an architect by day, who happens to be able to control air currents. By night, she uses her superpowers to save her city from various villains. Aero, known also by her Chinese name Lei Ling, is able to control air currents Will we see them alongside classic Marvel characters. There's no official confirmation, but if you look closely there's an Easter egg in the first issue of the Warriors of Three Sovereigns - a picture of Iron Man's mask can be seen in Lin Lie's room. A sign Tony Stark and his Avenger colleagues could show up some time?
RICH LIST 2018: JIM RATCLIFFE IS UK'S RICHEST MAN…. A businessman who once lived in a council house near Manchester is the richest person in the UK, according to the Sunday Times Rich List. Jim Ratcliffe, who founded chemical firm Ineos, topped the list with an estimated worth of £21.05bn - after coming 18th last year. Two of the company's directors are also on the list, which ranks Britain's wealthiest 1,000 people or families. Jamie Oliver and fashion tycoon Sir Philip Green saw their fortunes drop. Mr Ratcliffe, 65, moved from the council house in Failsworth to East Yorkshire as a boy. He went to Beverley Grammar School, studied chemical engineering at Birmingham University, and got an MBA from London Business School, according to a Financial Times profile. His father, who was a joiner, went on to run a factory that made laboratory furniture, while his mother worked in an accounts office. Mr Ratcliffe's firm is currently locked in a legal battle with the Scottish government over its moratorium on fracking. His wealth leapt by £15bn in the past year - partly because of a revaluation of his assets. He is the first UK-born person to top the rich list since the Duke of Westminster in 2003.
MOTORISED SHED HITS 100MPH TO BREAK SPEED RECORD AT PENDINE SANDS…. The Fastest Shed has lived up to its name and beat its own record time, reaching 101mph. A souped-up motorised shed has broken its own land speed record on a Welsh beach as it hit 100mph. The Fastest Shed smashed its previous 80mph (129km/h) record for the fastest shed at a land speed event at Pendine Sands in Carmarthenshire on Saturday. Owner Kevin Nicks said it was "marvellous" to hit 101mph (160 km/h) in what he said was the only road legal motorised shed in the world. "It couldn't have gone better, I'm so happy," said the 53-year-old gardener. Mr Nicks, from Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire, spent more than £13,000 creating his bespoke shed on wheels, which now boasts a turbo-charged 400 brake horsepower engine that is more powerful than many sports cars.
MEXICO VIOLENCE: CLOWNS PROTEST OVER ACAPULCO MURDER RATE…. Clowns dressed in white marched down a central street in the Mexican resort of Acapulco on Monday demanding an end to the city's crime wave. With their faces painted and carrying signs reading "peace", they said that they were "tired of so much violence". They complained that they were losing business because residents no longer threw parties out of fear of becoming targets of crime. In April, 100 people were killed in the resort town. Officials said they had recorded almost 50 more murders in the first three months of 2018 than in the same period last year. Most of the murders are believed to be related to warfare between rival criminal gangs in the region. The clowns said they had been particularly shocked by the murder of a juggler earlier this year. They said that the rise in crime had spread terror in the city which had made it hard for them to make a living. Acapulco was once a glamorous destination popular with Hollywood stars but the high number of homicides has put off many tourists.
TAIWANESE FLAG ON BULL ARTWORK PAINTED OVER IN AUSTRALIA…. The blue and red Taiwanese flag was painted to represent the school's cultural diversity. An Australian city council has been criticised after it covered up Taiwanese flags painted by school students on a public artwork. The flags were painted on a bull statue displayed for a beef industry event in Queensland. Rockhampton Regional Council said it altered the work to reflect the Australian government's policy of not recognising Taiwan as a country. China claims sovereignty over Taiwan, which it sees as a breakaway province. The fibreglass statue was one of six school artworks commissioned by the council and Beef Australia for a week-long festival in Rockhampton, 600km (370 miles) north of Brisbane. North Rockhampton State School said students had created the design, which featured various national flags in the shape of fish, to celebrate the cultural diversity of their community. Two Taiwanese-born students painted the Taiwan flag, but last week, the council re-painted them so they were plain blue. Other flags were not altered. The council said it informed the school of the decision prior to the re-painting.
Well Gentle Reader I hope you enjoyed our look at the news from around the world this, Tuesday morning… …

A Sincere Thank You for your company and Thank You for your likes and comments I love them and always try to reply, so please keep them coming, it's always good fun, As is my custom, I will go and get myself another mug of "Colombian" Coffee and wish you a safe Tuesday 15th May 2018 from my home on the southern coast of Spain, where the blue waters of the Alboran Sea washes the coast of Africa and Europe and the smell of the night blooming Jasmine and Honeysuckle fills the air…and a crazy old guy and his dog Bella go out for a walk at 4:00 am…on the streets of Estepona…
All good stuff....But remember it’s a dangerous world we live in
Be safe out there…

What were the twin girls red and blue, friends of Fu Hua in the past? It was said Dr. MEI left them with Fu Hua to help her in her mission, but they were mortals, so what exactly were them?
Fuxi and Nuwa were sisters and survivors from the Previous Era as well and they were helping Fu Hua with Project EMBER. The project was to speed up the development of humanity’s technology, but it failed because it caused stronger Honkai beasts to appear more rapidly and humanity wasn’t ready to handle them. They also gave Ji Xuanyuan the Xuanyuan Sword.
They were not MANTIS soldiers so they were mortal, unlike Fu Hua but they looked after her, were Fu Hua’s friends, and made sure that she could take care of herself when they eventually died. They died sealing away the Judgement-class Honkai beast Chiyou along with Ji Xuanyuan.
They also gave the ELF Book of Fuxi to Fu Hua to be her friend when they were gone.
