You explain that they’re just nice, they itch your brain the right way, and just like how a child sees one of those huge appliance boxes. “Oh, yeah, that makes sense, actually. Interesting. Never would have thought about that.”

• honestly though after a while I feel like he’d join your box hobby

• prob gives you boxes leftover from shipments of medical supplies like plastic bits (I wouldn’t take the ones from his shipments of animal organs 😬)

• but I mean if you enjoy his scent or something then it’s probably a nice reminder

• when you talk about how a kid would react when a giant box shows up in the mail and how it never went away he gets it

My personal rankings of different tf2 ships that I've seen!!

1- I don't like it at all. 10- I love it!!

Heavy x Medic: 11/10 I absolutely adore them together, they're perfect for each other.

Heavy x Spy: 5/10 not my personal favorite, but I don't hate it.

Heavy x Sniper: 2/10 I've never actually seen this one before, but I don't really care for it.

Heavy x Scout: 2/10 again, not a huge fan. I honestly see Heavy as more of a father figure to scout.

Heavy x Pyro: 5/10 another one I haven't seen before, but I don't mind the idea of it. Their chemistry could be interesting.

Heavy x Soldier: 6/10 I haven't seen very much of this ship, but I do think they're funny together. They definitely have some potential.

Heavy x Demo: 5/10 another I haven't seen before, not quite sure how to feel.

Heavy x Engie: 5/10 POOTIS-

Demo x Soldier: 9/10 only docking a point because I see them more as platonic soulmates over being in a romantic relationship.

Demo x Medic: 5/10 not a personal favorite, but they are definitely funny together.

Demo x Scout: 5/10 another one that I don't feel very strongly towards.

Demo x Pyro: 7/10 Fire and explosions, my friends.

Demo x Engineer: 6/10 I can see them as drinking buddies when they aren't on the field.

Demo x Spy: 4/10 never seen it before, don't care about it either.

Demo x Sniper: 10/10 I wish they had more interactions together in the comics with both of them conscious. Swordvan is in my top three for sure.

Engie x Scout: 1/10 not a fan of this one at all. I see Engie as far more of a father figure than a romantic interest for Scout.

Engie x Soldier: 7/10 not my preference, but they can definitely be cute together.

Engie x Pyro: 0/10 They are literally family in my mind, Engiedad moment.

Engie x Medic: 8/10 They're definitely besties, but I don't really ship them myself, personally.

Engie x Sniper: 4/10 I don't think I've seen this one before. I don't care all that much for it though.

Engie x Spy: 10/10 Perfect slow burn dynamic, I love them together.

Medic x Spy: 5/10 I can understand why people enjoy it, it's just not my cup of tea

Medic x Sniper: 5/10 again, just not my personal favorite.

Medic x Scout: 1/10 Yet another situation of me seeing a character as Scout's father figure.

Medic x Soldier: 5/10 another uncommon one! They do have their charm together, I can say that.

Medic x Pyro: 4/10 I don't care very much about this one.

Sniper x Scout: 8/10 I fully understand why people like this ship so much, for me, however, it is simply outweighed by swordvan.

Sniper x Soldier: 5/10 not sure how to feel about it, it's another very uncommon one.

Sniper x Pyro: 4/10 don't like this one a whole lot, even though I haven't seen it much.

Sniper x Spy: 1/10 Unpopular opinion, I know. It just feels weird knowing that Sniper is the same age as Scout, who is Spy's son.

Spy x Scout: -9999999/10 WHO THE HELL WOULD SHIP THIS- straight up NASTY.

Spy x Soldier: 5/10 I feel pretty neutral on this one.

Spy x Pyro: 2/10 I just don't see it happening.

Scout x Soldier: 4/10 I don't hate it, but I don't like it very much.

Scout x Pyro: 9/10 I think they have a lot of potential together! I like to call the ship "Hotwings" because it's funny.

Soldier x Pyro: 2/10 I really just don't see it happening, tbh.

Meet the Spraypainter!

DISCLAIMER: I HEADCANON MEDIC AS AGENDER AND BISEXUAL!! Medic x Spraypainter is Yuri!!! 😭

okay I wanted to make a proper introduction post for them .. and fair warning their lore is pretty intricate and detailed. If you don't wanna read it all I totally get it!

The Spraypainter is the tenth class, their job is to mark enemy territory, they also can assist other teammates by marking spies. They have a bratty personality and are very stubborn. They enjoy cats, drawing, spray painting, and researching random topics. They hang around Heavy, Chemist, and Medic the most.

TW: Experiments, kidnapping mentioned!!

They are Heavys adopted sibling, and lived most of their childhood in Siberia. Until one day, they had wandered out of the house and was kidnapped by Engineer's father, Radigan Conagher. He wanted to test the effects of Australium on the body; Needing a test subject, he kidnapped some random kid he found in the woods. (Can you tell I haven't fleshed this part out yet...)

Luca spent the rest of their childhood in a secluded lab. They don't remember what it was called really, but they knew that they were surrounded by trees and trees and more trees. They learned English from CMedic (classic Blu medic bc he looks like he'd be nice idk...) and also met young Engie. He tagged along with his dad at work sometimes. They got along very nice. Sometimes, Admin would bring Luca into her office and let them play with toys while she did her work. Somewhere deep down she felt a little bit bad for the kid, but obviously not bad enough to stop the experimenting on them. She also enjoyed the thought of having a kid, despite never having her own child. They filled that void for her just fine.

At some point, they were able to escape the lab. Somewhere at about 17, they spent days walking through the woods and hiding from the guard dogs at the lab. But hey, they made it out alive and that's all that matters.

From here their backstory gets kind of rocky. I'm not sure what their life is like from this point on until they receive a letter from Pauling, explaining that she needs them to work for her and Admin.

Some extra facts!

-They have a cat named Mojo

-Some Australium is still in their blood, although very little. The only reason the Australium lingers is because of the amount of times it was extracted and injected into their bloodstream. It kind of mixed with their blood. It doesn't give them any extra buffs or anything, but it did change their hair color to grey and also gives their blood a slight metallic effect to it.

-Their favorite color is blue and they hate their uniform.

-They are pretty rich, their shirt is expensive and they flex their richness off to spy. (These two don't get along)

Chell gets added and we call her the Beta Tester, she works with Engie to help him out.

The Administrator is the one who uploaded herself into GLaDOS.

The portals are red and blue instead of orange. Cave Johnson is the third Mann brother, he takes Mann Co. from Saxton and called it Aperture Mann.

Helen / Admin took the place of Caroline as Cave's assistant, she's still old but not 150 and she and Cave are parents to both Pauling and Chell.

The tf2 maps are now competitive test chambers.

I don’t know the difference between a novelty tee and a graphic tee BUT he DEFINITELY got Demo and Solly matching “I’m with Stupid” t-shirts. they have arrows so that you stand next to each other and the arrows point at each other but they regularly stand the wrong way. nobody knows if it’s on purpose or not

Sniper’s is one of those fishing ones, something something “master baiter”

Pauling’s is “I went to (names of 50 different places she’s all been to for work) and all I got was this lousy shirt”

Medic’s is one of those oddly specific ones that’s just batshit insane and weirdly detailed and yet somehow actually applies to him. probably something to do with never trusting German tourists

Heavy’s says “Yes I’m tall, you’re very observant, the weather is nice up here, good talk, bye” (it’s an actual shirt(that I don’t own bc I’m short)), he likes it and thinks it’s funny

Scout’s is one of those ones where it has some math problem and says “find x” and the x is circled with a label that says “it’s right here”

Pyro’s says “autism be damned, my boy can work a grill” and you can’t tell me I’m wrong

Spy’s is blank on the front, but on the back it has an image that makes it look like he’s been stabbed and text that says “I’m fine”. he claims he hates it, but it always ends up in the dirty laundry pile by the end of a ceasefire

I’m not sure what Merasmus’ and Admin’s would say, but they’d be about Halloween/souls and being old respectively

ok so what if demoman and soldier are in a 2 person trap together. i can put both soldier's wall of heads concept AND demo's sword thing, for the trap to be like "one of you guys gotta chop one of your guy's heads off. or else y'all explode." cuz in the war comic, obvi admin puts them against each other cuz they were besties for a bit... what i think could be interesting, is that these guys would actually consider doing it. sure it took a bit of manipulation for them to fight in the comics, but if it were a life or death situation, who knows.

also thought of why the hell the administrator would start doing the traps in the first place. i came up with this in the shower, so it's probably lame, but bear with me :P ofc, none of this is canon yet.

the administrator found out that the mercs basically have some australium in their blood, since they have all them australium weapons... ig inhaling it puts traces of it into their system? after her australium sources are starting to get scarce, admin decides she needed to extract it all from the mercs by finding the best ways to drain their blood... which ofc will kill them. plus they all kinda piss her off and she was due for a new batch of mercs, so the loss won't be a loss. knowing miss pauling, she would probably be REALLY hesitant to assist her in this, but in the end she's a pushover and can't say no to the administrator. admin knows miss pauling is already good at giving the mercs instructions, so she'd make a great billy the puppet!!! what i haven't come up with yet is why she would give them a way out. maybe she ain't that heartless?? i'll have to think abt it. in the meantime, eat this up :P

sniper and pauling fall into the same niche category to me as "characters who i think are 100% doms who get off on being all scary and shit- but who bark for Administrator"

in my head sniper's a dom but also kinda lazy, so like-in practice he's versatile but most people would assume he's just really sleezy. sniper x admin is genuinely my favorite ship featuring him, but i have a very soft spot for sniper x engie x spy

bc i like to think Spy's very, very switch-y, and would be into someone like sniper using knives or guns against him, or dehumanizing him. while engie compared to the two of them is pretty mild, but has that compact/sturdy/broad/chubby body type that makes spy amd sniper go absolutely ape shit.

while i love imagining and writing a dark and fucked up engie, but he Simply Has The Range to manage to pull off "could be the most repressed fucked up guy you know" and "goodboy people pleaser with a heart of pure gold who is doing his best"

as far as im aware, the fandom is really sleeping on merasmus ships. ive only ever seen merasmus/soldier (which I will admit to shipping a little) but our favorite cringefail wizard has the potential for some very funny and/or interesting dynamics.
