Happy Birthday Natsumi, this is the only Natsumi art I have on hand.

It's my fluffy interpretation of this scene:

So on that poll from a while ago about which hand is his dominant one, someone brought up this promotional art with him and Peko where they're both holding their shinai in their right hands as proof that he's right-handed.

This made me curious because his character illustration shows him writing with his left hand, so why is he holding it with his right? It prompted me to research a little bit about kendo.

Since kendo is a very traditional and culturally important martial art, it's taught in a very specific way that doesn't allow much wiggle room. It turns out that regardless of which of your hands is dominant, in kendo, you grip your shinai with your right hand near the hand guard (tsuba) and your left hand near the bottom of the hilt (tsuka). Here's a diagram for demonstration.

So, all that is to say that this doesn't really prove anything. Taka's gripping with his right hand in that particular spot because that's where he was taught to put his right hand by his sensei.

•Thankfully chisa sensei is now there to keep things from getting to heated

•Yeah Mukuro is the one who keeps having to prevent you from going wild on people

•Mostly her sister and byakuya

•Her sister as much as she loves her, is a massive troll and takes advantage of your protective nature by messing with her

•Byakuya is just a straight up dick to everyone

•She feels less inclined to keep you from attacking byakuya,but she doesn't wanna have to deal with the fallout from that

•Though she absolutely loves how much you shower her with love and affection

•It was a little overwhelming at first but thankfully she was able to adjust to it

•She certainly wasn't expecting that attitude from you at first, given that you seem pretty ordinary before you got together

•However she has very little to complain about as she loves every side of you

do you have any nagisa ships other than the canon 3? ive seen hayami in the 3dmodel pics sometimes but not in any txt stuff, was wondering if you have anything of her and nagisa. Or just any other probably crackship, for me, i feel like nagisa could be shipped with almost anyone from 3e imo.

also a hc of mine is kayano feel a bit territorial of nagisa around yada anytime she even goes near, those 2 being 1st and 2nd place in bitchsenseis ranking isnt doing any favors, too big of a risk of them being paired to 'refine their skills & high talent', gotta keep him away.

XD.... Yukiko is SLIGHTLY a stretch to be lumped in with the "canon Nagisa ships".... Don't get me wrong, I enjoy dabbling in the potential with Nagisa x Yukiko, but I know that compared to Kaede and Rio, she can be harder to pin down for a concrete ship. That's just me musing out loud here, though. I'm still a die-hard for NagiYuki, NagiKae, and NagiRio. :3 I focus on them 'cause they're my favorites. And in the grand scheme of Nagisa ships, they're still pretty rare for being "mainstream"... Reason being that Karmagisa is very much celebrated in the fandom, and I'm just not a fan.

That aside, Vergilsama92 has certainly produced Rinka sprites for me. Though... only the two. XD I'm open to Nagisa x Rinka - she's got Mukuro Ikusaba's voice actress, so it's hard not to enjoy Hayami. For me, anyway.

I suppose the only real reason I haven't dabbled in Rinka too much is because I'm not a particularly greedy shipper. For example, Fuyuhiko x Peko is one ship I support in spite of a buddy of mine being a die-hard Makoto shipper... XD I support both Fuyuhiko and Makoto 'cause neither of them is an abuser or anything bad. That's basically my condition for ships; as long as I'm not left with a bad taste in my mouth, I'll either support it or leave those shippers to their corner and just be "okay" with it. Hence, Chiba has my seal of approval 'cause he's not bad.... But much like Makoto, I don't mind dabbling in the Nagisa shipping possibilities. Nagisa's got some sharpshooter skills himself; he's not as specialized as Rinka and Chiba, and that's fine. Nagisa x Rinka would probably be along the lines of Naekusaba (Makoto x Mukuro), so I don't mind looking into them one of these days. :3

I don't particularly ship Nagisa with every girl in E-Class. Again, I'm not greedy. I do have my favorites, and I'm just comfortable with them. (Oh, I get lectured on for being "comfortable", believe me. (人◕ω◕)) But I suppose I can name the girls that I'm open to aside from the ones I usually cover. I like Rinka, Fuwa, and Yada. ... And I'm not opposed to Ritsu-chan, but... she is an AI, so I'll set her aside for the moment. It should be fine to appreciate Ritsu-chan whether you ship her with anyone or not. XD

Fuwa-chan is a goofball.... Nagisa and Kaede usually react to her fourth-wall-breaking antics, and it's just cute. :3 Nagisa likes Sonic Ninja, so I can see Fuwa sharing other series that he might like if she can hit the right buttons~ Moreover, she's usually casual - though she can definitely be dramatic at times. Nothing bad with having a dramatic girl in your life, though. Nagisa doesn't seem to mind, look at him~ (人◕ω◕)

Nagisa x Yada is probably my biggest "crackship" for him.... in the sense that these two hardly interact. Ever. XD But there's no animosity between them, and she IS besties with Kaede... even if Kaede has her reservations about chest sizes. :3 Yada is a physical, bubbly, even romantic girl.... And she brings something unique to the table with her negotiator skills. Can't say the other Nagisa suitors have that going for them~ Also.... Yada is apparently ranked #2 in terms of the best kissers of E-Class, so declares Irina-sensei. And that can be fun to look into later. ........ Kaede will kill me violently, of course, so we'll just keep this on the down-low, hmm? :3

While (y/n) was in the deep of thought she felt a light tap, making her raise her head only to be met by Kazuichi's orbs.

" What do you want? "

" Ah I... we kinda mess up and something happened." Kazuichi said, smiling nervously while scratching his cheek.

" You guys were caught by Chisa-sensei? " (y/n) confusingly asked while looking away but didn't saw the substitute teacher.

" No no, Nagito was...umm drunk, I guess? He was calling you so I thought you could help him. " Kazuichi replied.

Nagito's tie was loose and had flushed red cheeks, his temperature was sure to warm.

" I'll leave him to you (y/n)! Thank you. " Kazuichi said while dragging Fuyuhiko away. The two began to talk to the others while (y/n) stared deadpanned at Nagito's state.

' Did I just got left out? ' (y/n) thought and sighed.

(y/n) touched Nagito's forehead again but regretted it because it was too hot.

" What the hell is that wine...do it have a side effect where a person who drinks it will get sick or something? " (y/n) grumbled to herself before looking at Nagito's face-lidded eyes.

(y/n) face flushed red as Nagito gave a soft smile to her but (y/n) shook her head and calmed herself. She carried Nagito into a bride style because it is much easier for her than a piggyback ride.

' Mikan...she must be on the clinic. '

She nodded at her own thought and left the room without anyone noticing, that's her ultimate talent after all. The Ultimate Escaper.

" Unto the cliniccccc, Sir Nagito Komaeda. " (y/n) playfully sang while walking into the halls. Nagito hummed, shuffling a little into (y/n)'s arms while hiding his face into (y/n)'s crook.

(Y/n) blushed and stopped for a second but continued walking again.

" Hey, hey (y/n)-chan. I like you, let's go on a date. Oh, oh maybe a marriage already? " Nagito whispered into her ear, making her face explode.

" I- um... "

Nagito kissed (y/n) not letting her finish her sentence and pulled away after 5 seconds.

Nagito gave her a soft smile, (y/n) didn't respond and continued walking.

(y/n)'s knees became jiggly and her destination was near making her walk fast as she could but every time she would think of what just happened, she could feel that anytime she would faint.

She put Nagito down, holding his hand to support him from not falling, and knocked on the clinic's door, not too long Mikan opened it and saw us.

" Hello, Mikan! Umm... could you take care of him for me? Thank you! " (y/n) said while giving her Nagito.

(y/n) ran away and Mikan gave her a confusing and worried look.

" O-Okay I w-will, but are you a-also f-fine? " Mikan tried her best to shout so (y/n) could hear it.

(y/n) on the other hand, continued running and shouted a 'don't worry about me'.

Turns out Shirogane Tsumugi was the culprit in a killing game she and Kurosaki were involved in years ago, but since then Shirogane totally lost her memories of it. Sly has had to make up with Harukawa who was involved in tricking them, but he’s pretty much doing everything he can to avoid Watanabe. No wonder, really...”

“That creepy green kid is having a total crisis over the fact that all of her friends are gone. But like...she was just using then, so where the fuck does she get off trying to hide how upset she is? Dumb twerp.”

“Though speaking of the Despairs, Enoshima doesn’t really seem to be worried about anything right now. She’s definitely expecting the fight and if preparing for it. She even has that bounty hunter from the 79-B class staying because she tricked her by making her think her whole class will get killed if she doesn’t fight for Enoshima, even though the rest of her class has all been saved by the Future Foundation.”

“Big Sis Akane started training with Big Bro Nekomaru after she found out that all her siblings got killed by Hyde. Kirishima and Big Sis Peko are there to support her as well-”

“-Though, speaking of Hyde, I think Kimura-senpai believes they can’t beat him without killing him but doesn’t know how to bring it up to Oroya-kun. Good luck with that, I guess.”

“Then there’s the drama at the Hokkaido base where Nagata is letting that annoying Ouma lead the base while he’s at HQ. That’s another whole can of worms.”

“Nakamura and Gekkougahara-senpai had a fight but managed to reconcile when they agreed that Hope’s Peak was totally the real villain. Anyway, it seems they discussed their future a lot and wanna have a kid when the whole fighting is over. Somehow, I bet the kid will have blue-ish hair.”

“Oh! And it looks like those two kids from the Warriors of Hope found people they might want to have adopt them. Utsugi wants Kizakura and Shingetsu wants Suzuki-senpai!”

“Mamagakure finally admitted how affected she’s been by her son passing thanks to the help of Kamisaka after he opened up about his mother passing away while he was at Hope’s Peak. It’s actually pretty sad.”

“Yokozawa is still dealing with the aftermath of killing his brother- thank god he’s not found this place, the creep. But even through that he’s been planning to have Graves’ and Kizakura’s wedding before the fight. He even got Nakamura to officiate it.”

Hmmm, yes. It seems all the love events are going to take place today. There are several confessions that seem to be approaching. Namely those of Sayaka Maizono-dono and Leon Kuwata-dono. Who knows what else may happen in terms of love when the penultimate moment is fast approaching.

Two months after the entrance ceremony

"Yukizome-kun, i assigning you to be assistant homeroom teacher of the first group of the 77th class.""alright, principal kirigiri!" Yukizome answer.

Principal kirigiri Putting his elbow on the table and clenched his both hands, he look at yukizome "You've just graduated, so it may be difficult." He smiled softly "but I'm counting on you." Principal kirigiri said and then back to his poker face.

And all of a sudden

Principal kirigiri look down and say "kizakura-kun." Kizakura, who is sitting on the couch with his hand on his mouth, "sorry, sorry. I was drinking too much last night..." With an awkward smile, and he's back, putting his hand on his mouth, he look like he's about to vomit.

Principal kirigiri look at yukizome who is looking at kizakura "sorry, it's just like what you see, the homeroom teacher isn't too serious, so i think you may have some trouble." Kizakura free his hand from his mouth and bring the other hand up, "it's okay to treat the class like's it's your own!"

"I will! Leave it to me-" Yukizome bring her hand to her chest and accidentally hit it pretty hard causing her to cough, principal kirigiri sweat drop, yukizome walked to the door and say "please pardon me for that!" With one hand up and one to her chest, she closed the door, and walk to 1-b

As she infront of the class slide door, she entered "good morning!" "Wait, there's only four of you?", "Good morning." The ultimate princess said, the ultimate yakuza let out 'hump' while his legs on the table, "what's this? A women I've never seen just came in." The ultimate japanese traditional dancer say, "um, may we know who are you?" The ultimate photographer said with a sweatdrop.

"Starting today, I'll be your teacher, yukizome chisa." She tilled her head to the side with a closed eyes smile "it's nice to meet you!" "Oh, this one look's like's she'll be fun to break. Her sosial position, organs, life, and more!" Hiyoko said, yukizome show her Charter, "don't you worry. Your teacher has lot's of life insurance." With a smile like it was nothing.

"I give praise to thee." Sonia said "that isn't how we speak in japanese." Mahiru replayed. "Hold on, where did kizakura go?! He's our homeroom teacher." Fuyuhiko shouted, "if you're talking about kizakura-sensei, he's hung over and vomiting." Yukizome replay to fuyuhiko question, "again?".

And then, the door slide open reveal the ultimate nurse "sorry! I'm late!" And she trip with a VERY interesting pose...

"You do this every morning. Are you a bot? You stupid klutz of a women." Hiyoko scolded mikan"I'm sorry!","there, there... That's makes five person's" yukizome try to calm down mikan, "this may be everyone for today" sonia said to yukizome "but, (y/n)nee-san isn't here yet, that's strange!" Hiyoko bring her one hands to her chin.

"Huh, what are the others kids doing?","i don't know, and i don't care. But of course i care about mahiru and (y/n) nee-san only." Hiyoko said with a grin on her face, mahiru sweatdrop and look at yukizome "beside, attendance at this school isn't mandaroty, isn't it?" She look down, "you just need to properly train for you skills and pass the practical exams." Mahiru finnish her words, "i...i was trying to attend class-" mikan words got cut off by fuyuhiko shouting at her, make her to apologise.

Yukizome face palm, "i see... You all have these disappointing relationship, don't you?" With a disappointing tone, "this is crisis that's need to resolving!" While transformation to a blue maid outfit, kinda..

Everyone sweatdrop, "you're our Senior?" Mahiru with a surprise tone, "youth only come once. It will never return!" Yukizome walked to the back of the classroom while both of her hands on her waist.

"However, you don't even care about your classmates." "You kids are all..." "Rotten oranges!" She point her fingers at the students, "huh?!" Mahiru, hiyoko, and fuyuhiko let it out at the same time while mikan let out an 'eek!'.

And there's—

"Rotten oranges?" Sonia ask, as yukizome scolded the students, "meaning that you guys can't continue like this!" She pointed her fingers again, "let's go and bring back all your rotten friends!" "We're going to take back your lost youth!"

And just like that they looking for their classmates.

Time skip.

As they found peko, "alright! Four more to go! The door of youth is right before our eyes!" "Are we still continuing?" Mahiru ask, hiyoko is complaining and teruteru being a pervert as usual getting hit by bamboo sword by yukizome.

"Now, the next one should be them?"

As they walking "i know they should be around here..." as yukizome look at her notebook and the rest is following from behind, "when he's involved, nothing good ever happens to me!" Kazuichi complaining while he rub his back of hos head with he's hands.

And then there's a truck and hit him everyone shouted his name.

And there, a two persons standing infront of the vending machine, "that's weird..." He keep pushing the button, while the girl nodded, "i put in a thousand yen and pushed the button, but nothing is coming out." And he stop pushing the button, "im so unlucky." He sigh, "the machine is probably broken." The girl said while rubbing his back for comfort.

He realise something falls from the sky, he grab (h/c)nette head, pulling her head to his chest and the other hands on her waist, the girl seems okay with it, and a truck falls from the sky hitting the vending machine, and machine let out a sound showing that he's got the lucky one, the drink's start to come out from the vending machine.

They still hugging each other while looking down at the machine, "what, i really am lucky afterall!" Nagito komaeda the ultimate lucky student and (y/n) (l/n) the ultimate prodigy's after prodigy's, they both release the hug and start to pick up the drink's.

As they picking up, y/n want to pick up one cans someone grab it first and hands it over to y/n, she look at her with no motions at all "here." Yukizome keep her hands still (Y/n) takes the cans out of yukizome grip slowly.

As they arrive at the class, nagito laugh, "you wanted to meet a scum like-" (y/n) hit the back of nagito head, everyone sweatdrop at (y/n) actions, "stop saying that your a trash." Nagito look at (y/n) with his hands rubbing the pain on the back of his head and laugh.

Yukizome lift up her left arms "alright! Now there's only two left." She slammed with hands to the teacher desk, "everyone get yourselves ready!", "Eh?! Im exhausted! My legs are broken!" Mikan walked up to hiyoko and ask if she was alright, and ofc hiyoko scolded her.

Yukizome tell the class to start cleaning the classroom, mean a while she looking for the two students, everyone starts to clean.

Time skip.

As yukizome return with chiaki and ryota, everyone done cleaning, "yes, we'll keep going like this tommorow, too!" Yukizome said with cheerful tone, "tommorow as well, you said?" Gundham open his one eyes and look at yukizome "in this school, as long you have talent, i heard you were free to choose whether to attend class." Gundham continue.

Yukizome cross her hands "true, that's what the school rules said, but..." (Y/n) bring her attention from looking outside to yukizome with a blank eyes no spark at all, yukizome place her one hands to the desk, and look at everyone "there's more to life than just a talent. Interacting with others will build a Character and help you make a memories." "Let's help make something more important than talent shine - Your hope" yukizome continue her speech.

"Hope? That's sounds wonderful." Nagito said with a closed eyes smile, and then he put a normal face and bring he's hands up to his chin and sais "but... I already have one... Well, more hope for me, can't believe you guys-" nagito look at everyone, he was confused by everyone come to silent, no one said anything and then—

"HUH?!?!" Everyone shouted at the same time, yukizome, teruteru, kazuichi, mahiru, hiyoko, sonia and fuyuhiko walked up to nagito and asking who is it, "wah! Who is it, nagito?" Yukizome ask him with excitement "what?! Can't believe you got one before me?!" Kazuichi breakdown "no one want you, you know." Hiyoko said mean things to kazuichi, "have you do 'it' with her?!" Once again teruteru got punch by yukizome.

Nagito laugh at everyone behavior and point to someone and say "that's my hope if you asking." They follow his fingers lead them to.....

"(Y/N)?!?!"

(Y/n) once again look the window and then shift her attention to everyone with bored eyes "what?", And everyone keep asking the same thing with nagito to (y/n).

And of course (y/n) answer the questions one by one, and then she stop, she got up from her seat walk to the window, open it, and jump out of it.

Everyone shouted except nagito, as a future husband childhood friend (+ best friend) he walked to the window, but first he bow to the teacher and everyone else, and joining (y/n) everyone look through the window to see if they are okay.

The fact that they're fine from falling us shocking, everyone sigh relief and packing their stuff and go to their dorm

For (y/n) and nagito, they didn't life in a dorm, they life together outside the campus, peacefully, no shouting, no chaos, as they walked to their house, the classmates minus chiaki and ryota, don't forget about yukizome, following them, as (y/n) and nagito stol walking "well this is our stop." Nagito grab (y/n) hands and kiss it.

(Y/n) look at nagito action, she avoided nagito face because her cheeks is reddened a bit, "let's go, what are we waiting for?" Nagito ask her with a warm smile, the group who spy them is dying, especially kazuichi and teruteru.

Nagito step closer to (y/n), grab her right cheeks and slowly lift her head to Making her look at him and....

Everyone look at them intensely wishing them to kiss, it's obviously nagito noticed it, although he was originally want to kiss (y/n) but not in the public, (y/n) open her mouth a little and close her eyes.

Nagito bring his face close to her, they're not kissing, only a small gaps between their lips, and yet their breath becomes heavy, they stay for a while like that, holding each other really close and then they parted away.

The group is currently crying, they can't handle it so they back to their own dorm, and then nagito took a chances to actually kiss her, (y/n) look at nagito who is not looking at her, she follows where's nagito was looking and see their classmates walking away with tears and yukizome who is crying, shouted 'youth' repeatly with both arms up.

The couple looks at them sweatdrop, nagito hands still gripping on (y/n) cheeks and waist, he brings his attention to the women who he's holding, moving his hands from her cheeks to the back if her head and start kissing her jawlines.

(Y/n) shocked and covering her neck and look at nagito, "w-why did you do that?" (Y/n) wanted to back up but nagito hands still on her waist, "hm? Oh, just.. forgot it." Before (y/n) can answer that, a pairs of lips touching (y/n) lips, pulling her to a kiss by nagito.

(Y/n) eyes shot open, shock for a second and then giving in, and finally they parted away, nagito smiled at (y/n), he let go her cheeks and grab (y/n) hands, walk in to the house.

How do Neko and Mondo's groups react when the idiots finally get together? (and how proud of himself is Kokichi?)

Hi!! Oh they are all absolutely ECSTATIC! And you bet Kokichi is HELLA proud of himself! Mondo and Nekomaru pretty much have the same friend group, so I’ll be mainly focusing on their reactions to them denying any chemistry leading up to their first official date. (And Kokichi’s lol). I will also briefly mention everyone else’s reactions too! Thank you so much @artychaild for the ask! Hope you enjoy!

Idiots In Love

“Weeeeell… waddya say to your little elf helper, Bossman?”

“Fuck off.”

“Actually, it’s pronounced ‘thank you,’ but I’ll take it!”

Kokichi happily skipped away from Mondo, glancing back at the now bashful biker. Satisfied with another job well done, he returned to his locker, grabbed all his books, and headed to his first class where he would tell Kaito, Shuichi, Maki, Korekiyo, and everyone else in his class. Despite how annoyed most of his class was with him and his methods of problem solving, they were all excited to hear the news and started placing bets on who would be the first to confess. Kirumi was especially excited for Mondo and Nekomaru’s relationship to start and sent her group of friends a group text as to what has happened (excluding Mondo and Nekomaru of course).

Meanwhile, Taka, Leon, Akane, Hina, Sakura, Peko, and Fuyuhiko had all coincidentally checked their phones at the same time and were absolutely beaming! As they were spamming texts of excitement and questions of whether the boys were official or not, their teachers glared at them and sternly asked them to put their phones down (Taka was internally panicking, of course. He had never gotten in trouble like that before).

Hina and Sakura were the first ones to talk to Mondo about Nekomaru’s thoughtful gift, for they had 2nd period PE (Gym Class) with him. Mondo practically gushed about how much of a big ol sweetheart Nekomaru was, and how amazing of a person he was the entire time they did their warm up stretches. And as the class separated into groups of 3 to play basketball, Hina finally asked THE question after Mondo’s gushing.

“Soooo… when’s the first date?”

“Huh? Oh, uh… nah, it ain’t like that…”

“What?!”

Both Hina and Sakura expressed their shock to him the entire time they were shooting hoops, while Mondo calmly told them that they were “just friends” and that Nekomaru was way out of his league.

During 2nd period Literature (for half of Class 77), Akane, Peko, and Fuyuhiko kept nudging Nekomaru about how happy he made Mondo feel, to which he was happy to hear. As everyone else in the classroom took turns reading each paragraph from the book, Hamlet, Fuyuhiko eventually asked him about when they would make it official.

“Oh… um… I don’t really know about that… I think we’re just friends right now…”

“Ex-FUCKING-cuse me?!”

“Kuzuryu! That kind of language isn’t allowed in this classroom!”

“Gah! S-sorry sensei!”

The teacher just glared at him as he profusely apologized. Akane and Peko just looked at Nekomaru, shocked by what he said.

“Do you have any idea where we are in the story?”

“O-of course!”

“Alright then. Read from where we left off.”

“Okay…. Um…. A-alas! Poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio—”

The entire classroom burst out in laughter as the teacher told him that they were well past that part. Then, she noticed Peko and Akane whispering to Nekomaru about how it didn’t make sense for he and Mondo to “just be friends.”

“Pekoyama! Read from where we left off!”

“W-what?!”

After they were all humiliated in Literature class, Akane and Hina complained to Taka and Leon in text about how Nekomaru and Mondo just saw each other as friends on their way to their 3rd Period class.

Mondo was immediately greeted by annoyed glares from Taka and Leon in their 3rd period Algebra class.

“Um… hey guys…”

“We need to talk.”

“Taka, if this is about the whole Byakuya thing, didn’t you just say you weren’t gonna yell at me bout that?!”

“No, it isn’t. Please, have a seat.”

Mondo was then met with a million questions from both the boys about how he only saw Nekomaru as a friend. Mondo rolled his eyes at his annoyed friends and tuned them out by putting his earphones in, annoying his friends even more.

Throughout 5th period Lunch, Taka, Leon, and Akane tried to subtly irk them into confessing to each other. But no matter how hard they tried, the boys just couldn’t get their hints! At this point, Taka questioned why he was friends with a couple of idiots.

These idiots were in love. And their friends KNEW they were in love, which only aggravated them more!

So throughout the ENTIRETY of Christmas Break, they tried their hardest to get them together. First, Kirumi invited the two boys to see the winter middle school play (which was perfect, since “Almost, Maine” was a collection of short romance stories in one play). They agree to go support their friend (they were planning on going anyway) and come to the Hope’s Peak Middle School Theater Building on the Friday night before break officially started, which was Opening Night. Kirumi’s plan was to get them to kiss each other during the romantic scenes. That plan had unfortunately failed, for every time she took a subtle glance at them as she was on stage, she saw no kissing. Even when she was offstage for a good while and had time to look at them more, there was still no kissing. Even when the entire cast and crew came out on stage to bow at the end…. Still. No. KISSING!

As Kirumi ranted to her friends about failing to get the two to kiss, they all decide that it was much too early for them to be in the kissing stage of their relationship. So the friends move on to Plan B. Taka and Leon’s plan. They both invited Nekomaru and Mondo to go on a double date with them to a cafe. They had gotten Fuyuhiko and Peko to secretly come so that they could spy on the two from afar in case Taka and Leon were away from them. Their plan was to get them to confess to each other if they saw a romantic relationship right in front of them. But throughout the whole date, even when Taka and Leon left the two alone for a while, there was no luck.

Their third attempt was Sakura and Hina’s idea. Rather than a double date, they decided to get the two to go on a blind date. Hina placed a note in Mondo’s mailbox while Sakura placed a note in Nekomaru’s mailbox. However, the plan immediately failed once the group receive texts from Mondo and Nekomaru talking about a strange note they got in the mail. Hina and Sakura made the unfortunate mistake of making the notes anonymous, for both the boys expressed discomfort about doing what the note said. They all went out to a restaurant as a group of friends instead that day.

Their final attempt was Fuyuhiko, Peko, and Akane’s idea. They all went out to the park that day, where there was plenty of snow. They were all just talking for a bit, then Fuyuhiko and Peko got up and challenged Mondo and Nekomaru to a snowball fight (or a “Couples Winter War” as Akane referred to it). Their plan was to create some sort of romantic chemistry between the two boys where they’d both get fired up with revenge if the other would be hit, hoping to get the boy who was still standing to loudly confess his love while furiously throwing snowballs. (It worked with Fuyuhiko and Peko, so surely it would work for Mondo and Nekomaru!). Instead, Mondo was not only hit by one of Peko’s snowballs, but he also stepped on a patch of ice and slipped, causing him to comically fall backwards and land on his backside. This sent Nekomaru into a laughing fit as he helped Mondo up, who was also dying of laughter. This frustrated Fuyuhiko as he launched another snowball, hitting Nekomaru. He didn’t seem to notice though, for he was still laughing along with Mondo.

By the time Christmas Break was over, the group of friends give up on egging the boys on and accepted the fact that their friends were complete idiots oblivious of their feelings for each other. That is, until the end of the school year where Mondo and Nekomaru (separately) finally told their friends that they have a crush on the other. They were so ecstatic to know that both sides had a thing for the other, but decided to take a step back from egging them on and let them confess to each other on their own terms. And you can BET that the friends have a little celebration at Akane’s house with a crap ton of food after Mondo asked Nekomaru out!

Word traveled fast around Classes 77, 78, and 79 and they all congratulated both the boys about their first official date. Some even started placing bets as to when they would have their first kiss!

Although, Kokichi likes to think that without his “help,” Mondo and Nekomaru probably would’ve never gotten together. And so, once he heard the news about Mondo and Nekomaru being official, he smiled to himself in satisfaction.

‘You did good, Ouma. You did good.’
