My perfume for the third week of this year has been a sample of Luna from Penhaligon's. This scent is bright, cheeky and feminine. It's been a joy to wear, but somewhat fleeting. Here is my impression:

- scent from the bottle / Orange, Jasmine, Musks

-inital application / bright yet creamy oranges with a trail of florals

-mid-day / scent has died down significantly but you can still get jasmine very close to the skin.

-end of the day / no scent

Imagine a high society debutante eating a creamsicle in a luxury hotel lobby. She is gorgeous, flirty, and alluring, but flighty and ephemeral. Enjoy her company while it lasts.

Highgrove Bouquet, the fragrance that was developed with the King(then HRH Charles III Prince of Wales).

I don’t think if Prince Henry would use such fragrance for his character, but I sure would want to associate this elegant scent with him😇😇😇

I got a sample of this and although I only sniffed it briefly, I’m already in love! It’s floral, green and very soothing, like the watercolour artwork of the natural scenery that the King enjoys painting(yes he paints!). I’m adding it to my wish list😇😇😇

On the Highgrove Gardens' website the following notes are also listed and I think they're more accurate than what's on Fragrantica:

Top: Geranium, lavender, hyacinth Middle: Weeping lime headspace, French mimosa, tuberose Base: Cedarwood, orris fusion, musks

Rough day for people who got weirdly into the Penhaligons Portraits lore (because there’s LORE to this line) and highkey ship Yasmine and Lady Blanche (age gap feline Yuri my beloved) but found out they gave Blanche A BOYFRIEND???? Who smells like PISTACHIOS??? FUCK THAT.

Given that Love At First Scent has been off the air for several weeks, it was perhaps appropriate that the first post-summer review was of a scent inspired by daybreak: the brand new Serge Lutens Point Du Jour, composed, as ever, by Christopher Sheldrake.
