I just had a surreal experience. A good number of people peacefully marched from mccarren park to the 94th precinct in greenpoint and presented flowers/laid flowers down outside of the building as a symbol of being affected by police brutality, harassment and/or unjust incarceration .. it was heart warming to see all these folks with no political associations, no major organizational backing .. just people, citizens, tax payers asking for equal treatment under the law and for an end to police brutality ... love is revolutionary as an act - peace y'all. If you'd like to go to your precinct hit me up and we can organize .. .question ask yourself - why are the cops so angry? I look like a drowned rat, no make up, crooked eyes, but have the fullest heart of anyone. Come with me on a story, please... I had wisdom teeth surgery Thursday which for a 16 year old isn't a big deal, but for us mid-life folks it can present some problems and longer healing. So I'm in a lot of pain. I didn't want to go to work much less anything else, I just wanted to get home this eve to the pain pills I couldn't take this morning. But I needed a light for my bathroom, and to go to the bank. So off to Lowe's I go...I could not find my car keys when I left...they were in my other hand. Tried to get in the wrong car at Lowe’s. And then used the wrong bank card at my other bank and almost got charged for a fee, but realized at the last minute. Shew! I mean REALLY?! So off to Vito's to get my soft food take out (I can only eat soft things still), and just ONE more stop for necessities. Walmart, Port Road. It was still raining furiously but now I had my umbrella. In and out of Walmart in no time. As I left I noticed a family of a Mom and 4 children standing there waiting the rain out, and heard a little voice say "do you have a car?" I wondered if that was to me, I said excuse me? It was a little boy, he said again do you have a car? I knew then that they had probably walked there and needed a ride home. I hesitated for a second and said yes sweetheart I do. Hold on I'll be right back. I threw everything in the trunk, pulled up and we loaded their cart in and piled in the car. We were off to Rosedale. I had a nice conversation with the oldest daughter (maybe high school aged, maybe), and she said your car smells good! I said oh my gosh, my Mom is so mad because my car is so dusty, thank you! She explained to her Mom what I had said, and she chuckled. I found out they go to Harrisonburg and were excited for the the end of school. It was a short jaunt to Rosedale and I helped them unload and they thanked me profusely. My heart was full of freaking JOY! All my pain and impatience had disappeared; because I was able to be of service. It's a wonderful feeling, for such a small thing!!! #heartaction #peoplenotpolitics Continued in comments...

I voted and I hope you did too. #imwithher . I'm also with this guy too. . Those that know me know I didn't vote for Bush. Similar to how many people feel this year I voted with my heart & went with the Nader. A wasted vote in the strong 2 party system we have. Those votes for Nadar may have cost the populous vote winner, Gore, the Presidency, and elected Bush. . I didn't agree with Bush's politics and regretted that vote, but it was truly an honor to meet him and hear him speak. . My job has given me many opportunities to hear incredible speakers, many of them politicians. What I've learned is that perceptions & misinformation can sometimes be very deceiving. We think we know a politician but in reality we do not. #CaptainBrown was SO loved. He was an amazing friend, and family member. After graduating from Florida A&M University where he became a criminal justice major, he did a tour in Kuwait in 2010/2011. Recently he was working in the Reserves, in Human Resource. To #antoniobrown ’s family and friends, I wish I had known him, he was an amazing man.
