i do think there is something wrong with me because i am realising that my reactions to some of the things that luo binghe did because of his love for shen qingqiu seem to be relatively muted compared to others’. like don’t get me wrong, luo binghe definitely did that like he for sure went there but like at the same time i think he’s so fucking valid and maybe if people just stopped judging the kid for being the teensiest bit obsessed and took the time to understand his hangups then they’d see that too

Today I learned that while I can now walk around the neighborhood to look at yard sales that does not mean I should, because I will spend the afternoon with super low blood pressure I mean, I did figure that out after walking like half a block, but then I cam home and set up my own mini yard sale of just plushies, baby blankets, and quilts, and apparently "sitting outside in the sun for an hour" is too much for me physically at the moment? Definitely a learning experience lol I did sell a few plushies, a pair of baby booties, and a quilt! And the quilt went to someone super excited about it! It was her favorite color (it matched both her nail polish and her ring)

What ever you do don't think about Percy reading Estelle a little kid version of 'The Odyssey' because that's what Sally read to him but he doesn't want to scare her. Don't imagine Sally looking on with guilt in her eyes cus she HAD to read him the real one so he knew what to expect. Don't think about Sally looking down on her little girl with tears in her eyes cus she doesn't need to worry about snakes in her bed or teachers being Cyclopes. Don't think of Sally seeing Estelle with Paul and having to leave the room cus when Percy was that age they had Gabe. Don't think of the unimaginable guilt that Sally must feel for being relieved that Estelle's biggest battle at 16, is her Dad being her teacher. And whatever you do don't think about Percy feeling like an outsider in his own family even though he gets constantly reassured that he's part of it and loved.

It’s always so funny to me when someone can’t tell the difference between an actor who’s over the top and an actor who is doing an intentionally over the top performance. The former can be super aggravating, I get it—but the latter can be so goddamn effective. Especially when you know the actor already, know they’re fully capable of giving normal human facial expressions and chill line deliveries. And they’re out here doing The Absolute Most all of a sudden? It’s for a reason, dude. It’s almost always for a reason. And once you can see past the camp on the surface, it’s so much fun digging in to what emotions the character is actually hiding.

I look up and Lu is sitting in the entryway between my living room and the dining area, which I thought meant he wanted to go outside (the front door is there). But when I got the leash he ran away from me and hopped on the couch, rolled around in the blankets on the couch, and made baby noises until i came over to pet him. Sometimes he likes me to chase him around with the leash until he decides it is in fact time to go out.

He was shivering like a leaf which also usually means he really has to go potty, so I really thought he needed to go out. I grabbed the leash again but this time he ran to the hallway and stood there in a play bow until I came over--and then he ran to my bedroom and dove under the covers.

He just very clearly I guess wanted me to tuck him in like a baby and cuddle him. Loser.

I got myself a baby blanket for only 5 dollars while wandering around a nearby city’s Kmart, don’t ask why I was there my parents had shit to do there and I wanted a change in scenery. I LOVE this new blanket, it’s SO soft and smooth and shiny and feels good to rub against my face ^w^

today’s good things #5: picked up my fully grown 20+kg staffy so she could look out of the kitchen window at the rain and hail, and she softly wagged her tail with her paws hooked over my shoulder. she asks for uppies now and again and it always surprises me because i never thought she would! i also dragged her bed to the kitchen so she could snooze there in a sun puddle while i got to work painting our kitchen doors (we’re decorating) and i text a photo to my boyfriend because she was being so cute. now she’s asleep in bed next to me and her little snores are tickling my arms and she’s taking up so much room but i literally don’t care. she’s an angel. ❤️
