Although I pictured Jude a certain way (physically) while reading the books, it really doesn't make much difference to the romance aspect of the trilogy. They didn't struggle with their feelings because Jude was ugly/plain/gorgeous. They struggled because their stations in the social hierarchy were polar opposites, yet they both resented each other. Cardan was a prince who saw his station as a play. He had no support network, his guardian beat him for fun, his friends were just using his birthright to get away with being turds. When Jude looked at him, she saw a spoiled prince who did whatever pleased him, blessed with being born into it and reminding her she would never be like them. And then Jude, who saw herself as human/weak/lesser than. Who spent 10 years letting insults slide and hiding under tables in hopes of raising enough in the hierarchy to - even if not truly belong there - at least be left the fuck alone. Cardan looked at her and saw the General's favoured daughter, raised as Gentry, never in rags or forgotten if she were to sleep on stables. Jude reminded Cardan what he did not have despite being a prince.

this wasn't directed at me but these tags WERE from a rb off of mine, and this IS a real question!!

you're not the only person who instinctively goes Formal Email Mode when ordering commissions. (esp when they are. through email.) I do that too- and this is something people wonder about placing commissions!! how do I talk? the answer: you can talk pretty much however you want. I've gotten orders that are basically "hiiiii are you taking orders rn? i would love for u to draw my guy!!!! [photo] [photo] this is his outfit :3" the end. and I've had orders that are like 8 paragraphs long, typed like a college essay. when I reply, I basically just match whatever the tone is that I'm receiving! mostly the tone doesn't make it through, though, I'm just trying to glean the details for what the client wants.

#the Mode isn't important #your only job is to communicate what you want!#(preferably w pictures)#and even if you aren't super clear then you'll just get clarifying questions.#obligatory disclaimer that other artists may feel differently than I do etc etc but still. (more of my thoughts on the shows below the line)

As I said in my previous post, I'll remember these 2 days for the rest of my life. I was a bit off to the side but still very close to the stage on day 2, and when I tell you I lost my mind when Kyo came out looking like that. It's like he'd answered my prayers cuz I was so hoping he'd do a cool look on day 2, and he looked so fkn stunning. Toshiya also looked so good with the black sparkly dress (shame I wasn't able to capture him effectively for myself but I'm glad others did). But yeah no I'm never getting over Kyo's outfit. He really did that.

They didn't just look amazing, they sounded amazing. What an incredibly solid live band. They have to be witnessed lived, truly. I couldn't believe my eyes and ears. Kyo pulled off all those vocals so perfectly I was awestruck, Kaoru and Die played so intricately, Toshiya slayed the bass, and Shinya was a drumming machine. Thank you so much to this band for the best concerts I could've ever asked for.

I think smartphones-as-computing-platform have peaked (and maybe already jumped the shark?) for any practical purposes. There are only 3 things smartphones need from here on out: better battery life, more storage/user expandable storage, and better ergonomics

#Like. my hands are NOT small but I still struggle to use a flagship of any brand with just one hand #Back in 2017 i could reliably make great curveball throws in Pokémon Go with a Starbucks in my other hand #Now the multi-year creep of screen widths and angles has meant that I play best of I can use my second hand as a stabiliser #Also when did 'charge your phone at the end of a day of heavy use' turn into 'top up your battery around 3pm almost daily'?#I wouldn't say no to a more user-friendly pro mode phone camera either but that's a secondary priority #(I just want to be able to take good pictures of the moon)
