homeboy doesn’t know what hamon is!! looking at santana himself, he only wears a simple white cloth covering. he doesn’t have any anti-hamon weapons like the other pillar men have. when he sees joseph, he calls him “unique” and unlike any other human he’s seen before. he even tests this theory on speedwagon, confirming that joseph was different than any other human he had seen before.

kars, esidisi, and wamuu had time to not only travel to europe and possibly asia (at least esidisi did), meet the hamon tribe and fight against them long enough not only to develop specialised weapons and techniques, but to eradicate them. AND IMHO i think the hamon clan was numerous! when caesar gives his spiel about wham killing random man #5, all the pillar men laugh and talk about how all the hamon users are the same and how they all value friendship.

kars states directly that his quest for the red stone has been ongoing for 5,000 years. it’s reasonable to assume that’s when the triumvirate left mexico in search of the stone across the atlantic. it’s entirely debatable if santana was ever given the stone mask that gave the other three their modes. he may be the ONLY actual, non-elevated, pillar man left.

I've gone to different wiki fan page's and I can't find anything regarding their hight. Just they are the size of pillars!! Are they 7 feet tall 10 freaking 20 what are they?!

I don't really see Kars a the cuddly type but if eased into it you may be able to get him to cuddle with you.

Kars is unused to cuddling so if you manage to get him to cuddle with you he'd prefer that you lay on top of him and he rubs circles on your back.

Either that or he’d prefer lay face to face with his head against you. Mainly so that you can play with his hair.

You're the only one allowed to touch Kars’ hair and I stand by that.

His hair is just an important part of him and would never dream of letting just anyone tough it.

Esidisi will talk a lot before going to bed whether it’s about his day or random stories from his past, nothing too personal or gory, just some more tame ones or in less detail.

After all, you're only human and you need proper hydration, food, and sleep. When it's time, he’ll wake you up so that you can eat something and drink some water.

Wamuu is a large guy so he usually prefers you sitting or laying in him to avoid having him accidentally crushing you in his sleep.

Occasionally reads before he goes to bed and he’ll gladly read to you if you want.

His bed isn't the worst but also isn't the best. It's comfortable but you don't usually get to lay on it since you have Wamuu.

Love the idea! After writing the Baki x JoJo crossover my mind has wandered to a Pillar Woman, too. A proper one. I also played around with Midjourney to see if I could get a glimpse at a potential Pillar Woman, and it’s not as muscular as I would’ve wished but it looks interesting nonetheless.

Featuring Lisa Lisa, Caesar, Joseph, and an awakened Pillar Woman that’s not as threatening as her male counterpart.

Joseph and Caesar are not only irritated by each other’s company, but by the sheer pointlessness of this task that has interrupted their training. Three Pillar Men have emerged from this site and fiddling around unturned stones only serves in delaying their fight. Their whines are quickly silenced by Lisa Lisa’s orders to continue their search. If they have time to moan, they have time to look for clues. The UV lights have long been discarded after the gory incident, so the narrow rays of flashlights only add to their frustration.

A faint sound catches their attention and they simultaneously turn towards a pillar at the end of the chamber. “Is that an unfinished sculpture or something?” Caesar ponders as he gazes as the bizarre block of stone with a vaguely chiseled arm protruding out of it. “I can’t believe this. I should be perfecting my deadly moves and here I am listening to your art commentary instead. Should we have a little séance session so you can ask them directly?” Joseph responds in a mocking tone. Their bickering continues under the scolding glares of the woman supervising them.

Her sigh of annoyance is abruptly drowned by the loud cracks of collapsing rubble. The bulky pillar seems to be disintegrating and they quickly cover their faces, scrambling to avoid the thick clouds of dust rapidly flooding the room. Once the smoke clears out, their faces twist in shock at the sight of yet another Pillar person that has somehow evaded the previous investigations. Although this one seems to be a woman.

The group is taken aback by the colossal size of this specimen. She’s significantly larger than all the Pillar Men they have encountered, with impressive muscular mass. Joseph and Caesar have already positioned themselves in strategic fighting stances and Lisa Lisa bites her lower lip, stressed by the unexpected encounter. They haven’t managed to lay a finger on the original Pillar Men. Would they stand a chance against this behemoth of a creature?

You stretch your limbs and lazily scan the area. How long has it been since you’ve gone to sleep? You don’t recognize a single thing. The humans before you are small are slender. Children? You’re not quite sure. You hear them mumble among themselves and you realize it’s a language foreign to you, although you quickly pick up the vocabulary. You approach Joseph and place your large hand on his head, trying to reassure the young boy of his safety. “Are your parents nearby? Perhaps they could explain my situation better.” You state in a soft voice. Caesar cannot help the laugh that erupts out of him, having to rest on his knees to manage the convulsions. Joseph barks at him, annoyed and embarrassed, and politely removes your hand, explaining he’s a grown man. You can only stare in shock.

Once it is confirmed that you are indeed no threat, Lisa Lisa describes the recent events to you. You listen intently, arms crossed. You don’t particularly care for humans, but you don’t like the cockiness displayed by the awakened Pillar Men, nor their supposed intentions. In your current state, you could use some entertainment. You might as well lend a hand to the amusing individuals that found you.

okay so this happened to you once

you were just walking around outside while the pillar men were just conversing about something important. you didnt want to be annoying or in the way, so you stepped out for a bit. well, that's when something went to attack you. you thought you were all alone, so you panicked a bit. you ducked your head and buried it in your hands. and then when you peeked, you found kars was standing above you and absolutely obliterated whatever it was that wanted to attack you. you couldnt help but blush because omfg wow. he's a big handsome man and is towering over you to protect you, how can you not be madly in love???

but after that, you loved when he would protect you

you wouldnt purposely get in the way of danger, but you could admit, when it did happen, you would get all blushy when you would find that kars is just above you and willing to protect you

Idk why but about a year and a half ago, I had an idea for The Pillar Men x Fem! reader where the reader was The Pillar Queen who wants to conquer the sun (in the same way Kars does) with the red stone of Aja while Kars, Esidisi and (later) Wamuu try to compete to be the one to marry her during the events of JoJo part 2 but Kars is so in love with the pillar queen that he takes the stone for himself to become the ultimate life form to protect her from Joseph.

Edit: The Reader would equate to a villain in this.

A/N: This has been in my drafts for LITERAL YEARS, but im finally posting it. I will let it rot no longer. I'm sorry I didn't do anything for Santana, I couldn't think of anything for him.

Kars

At first, he was disinterested, as you weaved through the crowded medieval street. He thought he was above such festivities.

Plus, why would humans wish to relive a time they were less advanced? This seemed silly and illogical.

Until he saw a stall full of tiaras.

Then, he was like a kid in a candy store. It was almost scary.

He picked out this one. (But more expensive and extravagant, of course.)

He never took it off. He wouldn't acknowledge you unless you called him "Your Highness," or the like.

It wasn't just for the day, either. He kept up that act for two months.

He also bought a luxurious black cloak.

Needless to say, your wallet hurts.

Esidisi

He's excited.

Particularly, about the pirates. And the alcohol.

He is parading around, in a shirtless pirate costume, with one of those fancy hats with a giant feather, and he is carrying a pint in each hand.

He got challenged to a drinking contest in one of the taverns, and naturally, an ambulance had to be called. Not for him, though.

He ended up getting banned from that particularly tavern, and subsequently all of the others at the venue.

Somehow, he still seems to be stone-cold sober... (haha)

Wamuu

When you told him about the fair, he was intrigued.

As you explained to him what this was, it came to light that he had a particular interest in the joust at the end of the night.

You both had been doing the regular activities, when the joust was announced.

You followed the crowd to the arena, and one of the more crucial actors had fallen sick.

The announcer noticed Wamuu, and ended up asking if he could fill in for the knight. Wamuu, of course, agreed.

They quickly suited him with the largest set of armor they had, and they continued with the event.

He ended up showing off some of his abilities to the crowd, though carefully as not to actually injure any of the actors.

It was a plot twist that the crowd adored.

By the time it was over, they were asking him to return next year.

However, they ended up deciding to have him only do occasional cameos.

(I will be assuming that Kars' former tribe is the only pillar tribe on earth, I simply haven't thought about other tribes :,) ) SO let's start with just a general overview of Kars' life. He's 103,000 years old, according to the wiki. It's mentioned several times, both directly and indirectly (Wamuu and Santana's ages now vs. when they were shown to have been taken at infancy), that the pillar tribe was only slaughtered by Esidisi and Kars 10,000 years ago. So, that's 93,000 years Kars spent with his tribe being abused and chastised.

The pillar tribe was a small and tight-knit community with few distinctions politically, economically, or socially. This social wealth fostered an attitude of peace towards nature, humans, and themselves. The tribe had long made peace with their inability to bask in the sun, fostering a story similar to that of Abrahamic Adam and Eve. A group of pillar people upset the sun god, and, as punishment, their people were banished from the sun for all eternity. Surviving the night of life was necessary for the light of the afterlife.

Kars, when he came of age, followed in his family's footsteps and became an apprentice to his father in natural philosophy, with a focus on medicinal alchemy. He didn't mind, having had an interest in science for as long as he could remember. His parents, masters of the subject, lovingly fostered this interest. Every star and constellation, every planet, every asteroid band, everything in the night sky he knew. He knew the clouds too—that odd shade of grey. He wasn't fond of them very much; they blocked out the stars.

It started with irritation at having to rush miles into the forest surrounding the temples at dusk, just to hope to get to the blossoms he needed for his latest project. He often failed, the flowers long since pruned by the creatures of the light. Even a scrap of a petal seldom remained for Kars.

That irritation became anger when the humans who worshiped them would have sun-kissed skin, and the children would still smell of the ocean waves. They'd laugh and tell stories of how warm and lovely it was. He rushed out into the evening one day, as soon as it was safe, only to feel heat boil in his chest as the air around him grew colder, no longer warmed by the sun. To indulge in the sun, all of it, to be able to feel the warmth on his skin and to be burned, if even for a moment, was all he desired. He wanted to pick the flowers and the fruits that flourished during the day and feel the life flow through them—life given by the sun.

It bothered him greatly that he came from the flesh of the earth, the same as any creature, yet he and his people are the only ones to be cursed like this. He doesn't understand why they're so complacent or why they're so accepting of their fate in the darkness.

First, he goes to his father, the man who spoiled him and loved him his entire life. He paces around frustratedly, hands running through his hair, horns fully protruding, and lets out centuries of buried anger. His father stops him mid-sentence with a hand, laughing loudly.

"The sun isn't a friend, nor is it a foe. It's not something to be feared nor conquered. It simply is not our dominion. While the moon doesn't hurt the humans that worship us, many fear it and the darkness it heralds. They tell stories of monsters, of horrific demonic creatures in the night. The sun is their dominion, as the moon is ours."

Kars went to the elders, only to be met with recommendations to visit the tribe's shaman and to be induced into a lengthy meditation with their moon goddess.

He was infuriated now. Why didn't anyone understand? Whenever he brought up concerns he deemed worthwhile, they were dismissed with, "This is just how things are!"

Word spread quickly among the small tribe, with the older men coming to mock him every morning and evening when he would head out to see the last rays of the sun peaking over the horizon. It escalated to outright mockery wherever he would go. At meals: "Is this food as warm as the sun?" Whenever he would wear jewelry of the sun, he was boisterously, cruelly laughed at, and had it ripped off of him. He used to love wearing gold, the colour of the sun; it complimented his hair and complexion so well, he thought. His tribe laughed at him and dirtied his garments with mud, rotted meat, and whatever vile fluids and liquidy things that were within reach. Black was the colour of the night, and it didn't show the stains. He started wearing his hair up, first in braids, then in buns, then in his wraps. He was tired of it getting mucked up, tangled, yanked, and abused.

One night he entered the galley, and as he stood on the stone pedestal overlooking the table, he realised there was no seat for him. He left as silent as he came.

Sleeping headcanons for the pillarmen

Doesn't sleep often but when he does he’s a light sleeper and is quite upset if someone wakes him within this period.

Since he isn't human sleep isn't a primary necessity so he sees it as more of a disturbance and waste of time than anything. Kars goes for as long as he can without sleeping until he has no other choice.

Kars has the most obscenely comfortable bed prepared that you have ever seen. Some shit like when you zone out, you'll panic because you think you're floating.

Esɪᴅɪsɪ

Esidisi has a fairly healthy sleep cycle. He’ll sleep even before it becomes a necessity and makes sure he's fully refreshed afterwards.

He is often seen sleeping in both odd positions and places, occasionally seen around their hideout up against a shelf using a random book as a pillow.

The bed is pretty mediocre nothing too special about it aside from a good amount of cushioning. If he does sleep in a bed it's just because Kars ordered him to do so as their vampiric servants have seen him multiple times.

Wᴀᴍᴜᴜ

Similar to Kars he will go as long as he can without sleeping simply so that he can be able to serve his masters, only falling asleep when his performance has altered.

Whenever he needs sleep he’ll make sure that both Kars and Esidisi know before doing anything else.

His bed is just a larger than average bed so that it can fit him, has decent cushioning and some blankets maybe. He prefers sleeping in a bed as he feels that it's comfier than the ground. Though, if needed he would sleep on the ground

Sᴀɴᴛᴀɴᴀ

He is constantly sleeping; it doesn't matter when or where, he can usually sleep there. Although, it's less out of necessity and more out of boredom. After all, he doesn't really need to be that active after getting abandoned by the others.

While browsing the Pillar Men wiki page to check for accuracy, I noticed the photo depicting the race overall, and women for some reason look like this? No muscle and a very slim figure. Which was a little disappointing. I’m glad you made this suggestion, because I think the Pillar Men would be baffled to see a female specimen that puts their physique to shame.

Play back to the moment Kars demands to not be compared to a mere human like Pickle. Just as he finishes his statement, Pickle’s partner shows up and her heavy footsteps cause the sandy flooring to vibrate. Baki already knows what’s about to follow, so he quietly takes Tokugawa’s hand and guides him outside.

Now, Pickle is the type that doesn’t care much for intruders as long as they don’t directly attack him. As seen during the many times some strange men broke into his enclosure and he remained unbothered. With Reader it’s a different story. Whoever steps onto her territory better provide a damn good reason for it. She shoves Pickle out of the way and doesn’t hesitate to plant her feet right in front of Kars, at a terribly uncomfortable proximity. Her chest is puffed up and she has to make an effort to lower her chin enough to see the small visitor standing before her.

The rest of the Pillar Men are taken aback upon seeing a woman of this colossal size. If this was a game of raw strength, they’d probably lose rather quickly. Even Kars has to swallow dryly and admit that he didn’t expect this kind of introduction. Reader’s eyes are predatory and clearly signal that she doesn’t fuck around.

Joseph is probably having the time of his life seeing such a troubled expression on his arrogant opponents.
