It's pretty fantastic how thoroughly they have constructed this world. I think that's why it's so easy to immerse yourself in this world and relate to the characters and intrigue in Arcane.

I’m so curious about tea in the world of Arcane. Like, do they only have have black tea? That’s what Caitlyn drinks, right?

What about green tea? Do they have herbal teas? Where are they imported from? Are they grown on the outskirts of Piltover, or are they imported from other nations? Piltover is a trade hub after all.

Do only Piltovens drink tea? Is it a luxury good that only Piltovens can afford? Or is it quite affordable, like it is these days? Something Zaunites can drink when it’s cold and they need a caffeine boost. We do see Silco drink tea in the flashback. Is that common practice, or is Silco just fancy?

Ekko seemed unsure of tea when he's offered it in season two. He says ‘ew’ when he drinks it. Has he never had it before? Does he not like tea, or does he just not like Piltoven tea?

Jinx throws a ‘tea party’ when she kidnaps Caitlyn. Is that a mockery of Piltoven culture? Twisting a pleasant, frivolous upper-class practice into something terrifying to mock the enforcer?

Or is it a recreation of a tea party she had as a small child with Silco? Or perhaps even with Vander, Vi, Mylo and Claggor?

Are there tea traders down in Zaun who make medicinal blends for those who can’t afford medicine? Are there some teas dosed with trace amounts of shimmer?

Are there tea plants grown in Zaun that have mutated into something new because of the pollution and grey? Mutated into hyper-caffeinated or sickly sweet teas?

Are there luxury tea houses or shops that exclusivly sell tea in Piltover? Competing with each other to import the rarest blends? Is having a rare tea smuggled through Bilgewater a status symbol when hosting guests?

Tea has such a long and complex history on Earth I’d love to know what it’s like on Runeterra.

Does anyone know anything from lore? Or have theories?

I saw a funny post about people who still can't accept the idea of ​​Vi being an enforcer and ending up being one of them (I mean guys she's an enforcer in the game so it's normal and expected that she ends up being an enforcer) and worse they think Vi takes Caitlyn's orders as suggestions and does what she wants😭 also made me see how people blow the whole enforcer thing out of proportion “vi became an enforcer to do police brutality” no she was literally taking down criminals and gangs

"These criminals who tried to kill her several times and they killed Mylo and Calggor and her father Vander, and they hurt Zaun people for years, they also drowned the city with shimmer and making kids work in dangerous factories"

But besides all this I feel like "Child of Zaun" should have been required reading before watching Arcane because it actually delves into League! Vi's motivations pretty well!

And yeah, there are some things that have nothing to do with the show, but you will understand that some things in Vi's character, and also learn about other aspects of the city of Zaun are important.

The Black Rose has Already Infiltrated Piltover and Zaun!

You know how there's speculation that this shadowy figure has to do with LeBlanc because LeBlanc and members of her Black Rose group do the eye/eye makeup glow thing?

Well the conspiracy only goes deeper! Last year, nearly to the day, an exclusive splash art for LeBlanc's Rose Quartz Prestigious skin was released on CN servers.

Do you recognize that familiar face in the background?

I do!

It's Local Cusine (LC)! You could argue that it's just an easter egg. But why is Local Cuisine in Noxus? LC's presumably a sex worker from Zaun and here he is hob knobbing in Noxus, in a splash for LeBlanc of all people.

How do we know this a Black Rose gathering? Well, we can see that the window in LeBlanc's splash art matches the same design used in the homes of other members of the Black Rose in Riot media.

We also know that many Black Rose members wear masks upon first appearance so that their identity will be anonymous to other members. If you look closely, you can even see that the shadowy figure from the trailer is wearing a mask around their eyes as well.

And can you guess which character we met wearing a mask in their very first appearance?

It's Local Cusinie!

But what does any of this mean? Well, LC could have been sent as a spy by LeBlanc herself to test the Medardas' loyalty to the Black Rose. If Swain is truly set to take power by season 2, then many powerful families affiliated with the Black Rose WILL be purged.

Maybe LeBlanc's sent LC to have them killed herself. The Medardas may be loose ends to her, because Ambessa is only loyal to preserving her family and may in fact expose the conspiracy further to Swain to her and Mel if she could.

Or maybe LC has his own agenda. Maybe LC is related to the Ionian princess Ambessa killed. You don't have to be from Noxus to be a part of the Black Rose, the organization predates Noxus itself. And frankly, Black Rose members and their related assets do their own thing pretty often, their web of plans can even bite LeBlanc in the butt.

listen i love arcane s2 just as much as the next arcane fan but i'm also a strong believer that i would've enjoyed it alot More if it touched more on the piltover/zaun conflict instead of magic

Jayvik nation I need opinions for my most beloved and babygirl AU I am cursed with visions of.... The Hex-Files AU.

I'm plagued by it constantly I mean LISTEN LISTEN, it's perfect!!! Jayce "Spooky" Talis, laughing stock of the FBI for his eccentric and esoteric interests!! Left down in the basement with a bunch of unsolvable cases that he lovingly keeps trying to solve case he KNOWS that shit is Magic/Paranormal!! He's completely OBSESSED, and also has not a lot of people skills given, well, his obsession.

Viktor having annoyed enough higher ups with his desire to actually be in the field for FBI work and the higher ups condescendingly taking one look at his leg and cane then going "No <3" before sending him down to the Hex-Files unit to "reign in" their little """rouge""" agent. Thinking so smugly they are 2 birds 1 stoning it. He's sooooo mad, he's smart, and capable, and if SOMEONE would just let him actually HELP PEOPLE he'd be SO GOOD AT IT Actually, OBVIOUSLY. The hubris <3.

Mulder and Scully's first meeting IS so Jayvik coded I'm right and I will NOT accept criticism.

Their first meeting starting off on the wrong foot??? With Jayce on the defensive but when they both are like, genuinely invested in their unit Actually??? Whoops wrong move Head Office these two are Insufferable now actually and will enable each others most Unhinged tendencies. In 1 case (more like in just their first meeting) they became ride or die and joined at the hip. I love them, they are haunting my dreams.

Also the name Hex Files??? It's perfect!!! Don't trust your government (Council)??? It was meant to be!!! It's doomed me in the narrative!!! Now I have to like.... plan stuff and figure out long term story lines, I'm ruined!!! I'm in shambles!!! I'm overcome with love and excitement!!! My head is in my hands I am sick!!!

I've thought about which characters use Undercity and which use Zaun before, but it's just occured to me that I really should have paid more attention to who uses Piltover and who uses Topside (and who uses Piltover to mean the whole city and not just Topside).

I think with Jayce especially there's a shift, although I'm not sure when exactly it happens, from using Piltover to mean the whole city to talking about protecting Piltover from the Undercity.

Mel I think means the whole thing when she talks about Piltover and, despite her political acumen, isn't fully aware of how bad the split is until she learns from Caitlyn and Vi that Silco wants independence.

Do the Zaunites refer to Piltover in a way that doesn't include Zaun? I think Silco does, but I'm not sure about anyone else, and he might use Topside.

Does Piltie rather than Topsider get used anywhere in canon or is that a fanon insult?

I hope you, Arcane sapphic fans, really appreciate what was shown with Caitvi, because you were so lucky to have a story where the main couple is made up of two women in the FIRST series that Riot decided to create.

And I'm sorry to say, you won't have that again any time soon. There may be representation with some other character (bi, lesbian, trans, nb), but not what these two provided.

The leaks abt the new Viktor VGU confirming they're replacing all of his old skins and designs with the Arcane version is.... So so disappointing. I want to cry in frustration. Old Lore Viktor is self made, he and Jayce clashed over a difference in morals that were still understandable and grounded in reality. Viktor left, created his new body HIMSELF and used his ingenuity to help the people of Zaun. To replace all that with a sleek iPad version where he just gets possessed by an infected magic orb and ascends to godhood or whatever is SUCH a let down.

Sad Arcane theory: Vi will kill Warwick. It will be a final-nail-in-the-coffin moment for her, cementing her on a path of no return (perhaps as "Piltover's Enforcer"). Paralleled with her sister killing Silco and cementing herself as her League role, "Jinx". If theories about Ekko and Vi falling out turn out to be true, Warwick's death would be a tragic moment where Vi, having cut off all ties to her past, turns her back on the Undercity once and for all.

For anyone that doesn't know LoL's updating their Lore Tips on the League client and the update will include Arcane canon. From the data mine LoL confirmed Ekko's parents are alive, or at least in Act 1 of s1 anyway. Apparently it says, "When Ekko's parents were at work, they sent him to Benzo's workshop, where he tinkered on his first inventions.".

That statement does track with the one time Ekko mentioned his parents in Firelights Reignite.

Even though this lore addition feels pretty last minute I am very curious to see Inna and Wyeth in Arcane's world, because they're very much normal people with exploitative factory jobs as engineers in their earlier lore.

I'm inclined to think they're still alive because if they were dead, it'd be weird that Ekko has a whole wall dedicated to other people in his life, and his parents weren't included. It's even weirder that in an alt!timeline where everything's better neither he nor any of his friends mention his parents, he doesn't even go visit them. Maybe later lore will say they worked in one of the mining colonies Jayce mentioned?
