Summer before last there was a set of drawing meetups out and about in town. We all faced different ways and sat in different spots, and it was really interesting the different views and styles that came out of it. Good excuse to be outside absorbing the sun for a while, too.

The way people watched Invincible and not pick up on Eve being limited by her dad’s teachings on using her powers more ethically and with more accountability which goes to show why Eve doesn’t just make gold even if it’s a smaller amount to fund herself is scary.

The choice to show her changing the apple to gold which then caused an argument/lesson she had to learn was intentional. I don’t care that it’s dumb or boring to you for her to work hard for her money, it goes to show that she is on the morally good end of the superhero spectrum which honestly should be appreciated more as her being morally gray or straight up bad due to her lack of care for consequences with just how easy her powers can make everything will just straight up stagnate any growth or changes her character can face.

It shows a thoughtfulness that can lead to broader, positive change in issues she involves herself in.

I have way too much time today, so my brain formed some thoughts about other side characters in the mecha AU. So Starscream, right? Where could he be? First I thought maybe he could be the leader of the decepticons, buttt i think it's funnier if he is a human. What if he is a rich kid (well, adult man), maybe even the grandchild of one of the founders of Mecha Corp.? He may be even drift compatible with a mecha, but because of the power of his family he will never be put into a mecha (aka death trap) at all cost. (Starscream is very jealous of the mecha pilots and shows it. Of course he wants to be the one thing his parents tell him he is not allowed to be.) Starscream wants and loves power, so his goal in life is to be the boss of Mecha Corp one day! And he loves flying! He also is a really talented pilot (of planes and jets and stuff). And he wants to be a part of saving humanity, too (to feel important and to prove that he is more than just his familie's money). So he starts as a jet pilot in the mecha corp, but gets a position with more power after a while: Captain of the huge cargo aircraft the "Skyfire". The Skyfire is a cargo aircraft hat can carry mecha and their pilots to places that are either too far away to walk or too hard to reach. And for some reason this air craft has a very emotional intelligent AI. Enough for Starscream to get waaay to emotional attached to this plane. So, sometimes he and the mecha pilots have to work together to reach the quints and every time starscream makes it very clear to everyone involved how important his role is for saving humanity and that the mecha pilots are nothing without him! couldn't even reach the target alone! Also, what if his officers are his two cousins Skywarp and Thundercracker, who tease him a lot about his attachment to the Skyfire-AI, espeacially when the AI wins an argument and gives Starcream a bad concious (about taunting some mecha pilots or subordinates).
