This is a script mod that can be placed in your Packages folder. It was built and tested on 1.69 but should work fine on 1.67.

Applying for Scholarships

Teen sims and older have a new “Apply for Scholarships” interaction available at the school rabbithole or on the computer under “Sims University Online”. Though they’re less likely to win a scholarship if they apply online rather than in person.

If your sim wins a scholarship, they will not be able to reapply for that scholarship again. If they do not win, they will be given a Disappointed moodlet and have to wait a day before applying again.

Types of Scholarships

There are four (4) types of scholarships your sims can apply for: General, Legacy, Skill Based, and Occult. In total, there are 18 scholarships, each with their own custom moodlet. 

Sims have a 45% chance of winning a scholarship in the General, Legacy, and Occult categories when applying in-person and a 40% chance when applying online.

Sims have a 6% chance of winning a Skill Based scholarship at Level 1 of the required skill. This chance multiplies with each skill level, with a maximum of a 60% chance at Level 10.

Certain traits can either increase or decrease your chance of winning a scholarship by 5% (note: this value stacks the more traits your sim has):

Maintaining Scholarships

After winning a scholarship, your sim will get the new custom Won Scholarship moodlet. They have a week to either enroll in online university with my Attend University Online mod, or in-person university to remain eligible for their scholarship.

If they fail to enroll in time, their scholarship will be rescinded and they will have to pay back the money they were awarded. If they can’t afford to pay back the scholarship amount in full, it will be added to their next household bill. (No free money here!)

Once a sim has a scholarship rescinded, they will get the new custom Lost Scholarship moodlet and be barred from applying for scholarships for 3 days.

New Moodlets

Won Scholarship: Given when a sim wins a scholarship, lasts 1 day, +20 mood, each scholarship has its own custom moodlet icon

Lost Scholarship: Given when a sim has a scholarship rescinded, lasts 3 days, -20 mood, makes sims stressed

Online Aptitude Test

Teen sims and older can now take the university aptitude test on the computer under “Sims University Online”. It works the same as the default interaction.

Tuning

All of the tunable values can be found on the mod download page under the header “Tuning”.

New Cheat

If you want to clear all scholarship winners in your world (on a per save basis), enter the cheat menu and type “ClearScholarshipWinnerData” without the quotation marks.

Conflicts & Known Issues

This is a new script mod so there shouldn’t be any conflicts.

Welcome To Lunestia

The date is 7600.

Humanity finds itself alive and well on the planet of Lunestia! With its gorgeous greens, purples, pinks, and white fields it is definitely different than Earth but almost eerily the same. After the legendary forum wars of 2025, aliens have fully become a part of society on Earth as well as Lunestia. Great advancements in not only technology but human evolution have improved life in the universe more than any being could imagine!

I fell in love with Risa's Lunestia and Meroze maps as soon as I saw them! It was really hard to choose between those two to use for this space world save but Lunestia's beautiful terrain painting and blend won me over! I highly recommend both of these worlds, absolutely gorgeous and incredible work!

INTERESTING CHARACTERS

Mae, Malie, and Una Verse keep watch over the renovated remains of the First Contact ship that brought all beings to beautiful Lunestia! Although thankful for the great honor bestowed upon them from their ancestors, these young beings just want to have some fun, sometimes!

The Goth family and Bachelor family fell into a wormhole in Sunset Valley and have found themselves farther in the future than they could even imagine!

Candy is a plantsim who is trying her very best to recreate all of the lovely plants from Earth! She lives in her underground lab and you can find her there or above ground tending to all of her lovely friends…uh plants!

Skyla Martial is a genius who has filled her home with bots that she treats like family but never stopped to wonder if she wants an actual family. Either way, the bots fill that void…for now.

The Millennium Falcon Bot Emporium - A recreation of the Millennium Falcon from Star Wars by soocoolsim! It includes the bot emporium register, comics register, and a food register.

The Future Fashion Salon - - I have been experimenting with combining rabbitholes, registers, and lots on one lot and am loving the results! It saves so much room in town and I love how some of these rabbitholes/registers/lots work together! This is a salon and tattoo shop that includes the Elixir Consignment register, nectary register, consignment store register, and the Spa rabbithole.

Purple Flourite Museum - Art Gallery by Satureja13 that includes another nectary register.

Monsters Inc Stadium - a fun recreational park built by Hidehi for the Disney Magic Kingdom collaboration. The school and stadium rabbitholes are also located here.

Sapphire Ice Gym - by Satureja13 A small gym with all machines and martial arts stuff

Zephyr 47 - An old starship repurposed into Lunestia's favorite spot to watch the game, get some wings, and drink some juice with the old team! (shell by geminiagre, interior redone and converted to sportsbar by me)

Lunestia Library And Bookstore - a huge library with fun for the kids, snacks, the bookstore, and the Vault of Antiquity

The MotherShip by Snowmoon is a little more inviting for the locals in Lunestia. The Darts Competition is weekly, see you there!

It wasn't long after Lunestia was discovered that the Space Buzz Studio by Hidehi was built! You can always see some of the actors rehearsing on stages upstairs if you stop by to tour the studio rabbithole (in the basement).

Crater Lagoon is the town fishing spot stocked with all fish and not too far from there you will find Oasis Shoreline Beach!

Don't forget to visit the crash scene wreckage! It might look like a junkyard but very important research is being done here. You can see the renovated First Contact ship from here as well!

OTHER INFO

In this download, you will find the world and 3 save files:

LunestiaCommunityLots - this save has the community lots only, no residential houses or other lots

LunestiaUnpopulated - the is the final version of the save without sims

LunestiaPopulated - this is the final version of the save with all households

This save uses Into The Future, Lunar Lakes, and all sci fi store content extensively but there is zero custom content. I have all expansions, all stuff packs, and all store content but if you do not have some of the items, the game will generate a similar item for you (but you may have to edit). The only expansion not used is PETS so I am unsure how the save will perform with Pets, but there is definitely plenty of room for them!

Because this world was just roads and trees, I ran into the same problem I had with Simarellen, which was sometimes the lots do not line up perfectly with the roads. Some of the lots may look diagonal or incorrectly placed because of that but I have playtested everything and have not found any routing issues. This world save does use the Into The Future elevators profusely so there might be an issue with some of the elevators not working as intended. To fix this, simply go into build mode on the lot, go to the ground floor of the lot, use the hand tool to pick up the elevator and then drop it, this will reset the elevators to go to the correct floors. I tried not to fill the world up with lots too much, but it was hard to choose with so many excellent options out there! You can always add more, if you like!

Rhys has had a wish to plant a Forbidden Fruit since starting this save. He obtained a seed from a Gene Splicing experiment on the Science Research Station.

I had him Bloom the seed to to the harvestable state. I then cast the Improve Nature spell (included in the Enhanced Witches Mod by puddingface at MTS) to improve to Perfect quality. I then had him analyze the fruit to clone more seeds (maybe).

Side note: Rhys is a fairy/genie/vampire/witch hybrid..

I'm hesitant to harvest the plant. Not sure I want to play Plantsim.

"In The Sims 3: University Life, it is one of the possible results of using the ZRX-9000 Science Research Station to perform the Gene Splicing Experiment on a seed. In addition, when PlantSims successfully "Try For Baby", the result is a Forbidden Fruit seed.

The Forbidden Fruit seed is a Special plant, and requires level 7 Gardening skill to plant. Once planted, it will require 4 days to fully bloom and be ready to be harvested. The player will be able to select "Tend Garden" or "Pick Forbidden Fruit". "Tend Garden" will produce an edible fruit, which will be placed in the Sim's inventory. "Pick Forbidden Fruit" has a 50/50 chance of producing an edible fruit or a PlantSim baby. The quality of the Forbidden Fruit plant plays a factor on the PlantSim baby's starter traits. A Forbidden Fruit plant only produces one fruit (or baby), and becomes barren after being harvested.

Notes:

If an Alien picks a forbidden fruit, it will instead adopt a normal Alien baby. This is because the baby produced is a clone of the one picking the fruit up. Since Aliens cannot have occult life states, the baby cannot become a PlantSim.

Plumbots cannot pick the forbidden fruit.

An edible Forbidden Fruit can also be produced by using the Science Research Station to analyze a Forbidden Fruit seed and to clone the sample.

When a non-occult Sim who is a teen or older eats a Forbidden Fruit, he or she will receive a "Botanitis Minorous" moodlet. If the moodlet is not cured within 4 hours, the Sim who ate the fruit will become a PlantSim.

Even though Forbidden Fruit is considered to be fruit, it cannot be used to make nectar, unlike the other produce in the game that is considered to be fruit."

On a personal note, I have been out the past few days due to an unfortunate injury. I was carrying a cup a coffee and got a sharp, knife piercing pain in my shoulder blade as I was heading up the stairs to the kitchen.

My wife immediately herded me to the Emergency Room, where, after wincing in pain for three and a half hours, they determined is was a muscle sprain. I don't think they know the word E M E R G E N C Y.

Anyway they sent me home after a show and told me to take ibuprofen. I've been in decreasing levels of horrific pain since then. I am actually at a point where the pain is bearable-to-none. I actually slept for seven hours straight last night after only getting an hour or so here and there. I was exhausted.

Life update, CC plans

It "only" took a few days but I thought I would never be done with last upload, I'm relieved it's finally done. I have more fairy tale-y dresses from Parsimonious in the works.

I'm not happy with the slower CC-making pace I've had to adopt but life is taking priority atm. My mother is not doing too well. She was hospitalized for depression at the end of July and they changed her treatment (bipolar). She came back home after 6 weeks thinking she could finish to recover here, but the new treatment never worked out no matter how long an adjustment period she gave it. At the end of last week, she decided to go back into hospitalization at a different place. They transitioned her into another treatment. It's only been a week so the doses still need to be fine-tuned and all, hard to say right now if it'll pan out. I've been going to visit her frequently - I don't have a car so public transportation it is. It's all very stressful and uncertain. On the plus side my mom and I have become closer, which is nice.

In this context, I'm giving myself some grace with the October uploads. I won't be giving out gifts for Simblreen per se, because the plans I had for that turned out way too big and breaking them up into several uploads throughout the month will be more manageable. So when you see plantsim and mermaid-themed CC posts popping up, you'll know what they were supposed to be 😁

Erwin whips around to face his clubmates with such erratic movement that his spaghetti-strainer with holiday lights taped to it that he considers protective headwear starts slipping off his head. He swiftly reaches out to grab it with one hand, haphazardly securing it back in place, only to have the piece of masking tape holding the holiday lights to the hat come off, causing the string of battery-operated colorful flashing lights to fall lazily past his shoulder. Frantically, he sticks the tape back on, ensuring everything is intact enough.

Erwin: Listen, I appreciate your concern, but Tycho and I are cool, okay? That was so long ago. They're both my best friends, and they're happy, so I'm happy. No hard feelings. Water under a duck's bridge!

Danette: [Scoffs] If you say so, kid.

Erwin: I'm telling you guys, the Darling family is a nothing-burger. There's no conspiracies there. You want a real story or do you want to keep chasing our tails about our fellow clubmates' private lives?

🖊️ BALLPOINT PEN — does your oc have any tattoos? do they want any (more) tattoos?

As a plantsim, Poseidon has a natural-born leafy "tattoo". Actually I didn't know plantsims' skins could be changed until he aged into a young adult, and the leafy part is a removable hidden accessory.😅 But anyway it looks cool. If he wants some artificial tattoos, I can only add them on his fingers, or feet.

🐷 PIG FACE — what is your oc's favorite animal?

Seahorse. These little creatures are quite valuable for scuba divers after all.

🍎 RED APPLE — where was your oc born? do they still live in/around their place of birth or do they live somewhere else? how do they feel about their birthplace?

Poseidon was born in Moonfall Island, a substitute version of Moonlight Falls, his family moved to New Island Paradise (a substitute version of Isla Paradiso, you know I couldn't play the laggy land on an antique computer) when he aged into a child. He doesn't really remember much about the misty town. Although he isn't hostile to other occult life states, the gloomy atmosphere of Moonfall Island makes him uncomfortable undoubtedly.

💙 BLUE HEART — does your oc have any cool/special powers and/or abilities? how are they with magic, if it exists in their world?

He can restore both energy and water through photosynthesis. Besides, thanks to Plantsim Power Mod, he has the ability to teleport. So he is able to spend more time doing other things.

🤔 THINKING FACE — what are some of your oc's quirks/mannerisms?

Poseidon is a good-hearted thief. Speaking of his only negative trait, the game itself must take full responsibility. Poseidon had a happy and health toddlerhood. However the game judged it as imperfect (just because he didn't need to get potty training) and gave him kleptomaniac in childhood. Poseidon never pinches obvious valuables in your eyes, but flowers or trees in the town, there's nothing to worry about.

I go to Behind the Name and search until I find a name that I think suits them.

I might search names by meaning, origin, similar names, specific letters I want in it, etc. Sometimes it goes fast, other times it takes a lot of time to find something I like, but I think names are important and I like my sims to have names that describe them in some way.

Here are some examples, not from my story saves:

Shazia Xenagoras

Shazia means "rare". Xenagoras partly comes from "xenos" which means "foreign" or "strange". She's an alien plantsim (technically neither, but anyway) who lives in Strangerville.

Frida Strid

Frida comes from the word "frid" which means "peace". Strid means "battle". She's a freedom fighter. Both Frida and Strid are Swedish names, and I wanted for her to have a Swedish name.

The Matsu Family

The Matsu family are Komorebijin plantsims (technically not plantsims, since it's a temporary life state), so I wanted them to have Japanese names with a plant theme, I ended up with a pine tree theme. From left to right we have Jō, Yorishiro, Kado, and Uba. Their family name, Matsu, means "pine tree". Jō and Uba are pine tree spirits in Japanese mythology. Yorishiro is a Japanese object that attaches spirits, they're often placed around pine trees. Kadomatsu means "gate pine", it's this emoji 🎍. It's a decoration that's placed in front of homes in Japan for the New Year.

Blair Oh, but something about this pub really resonates with me. That can't be a bad sign.

"Welcome, customer. Would you like to make an order?"

Felix "Hey, uh... you're new here? Not really worth it to talk with those androids."

Felix "You enjoy talking with gay men?"

Blair "...Bummer. I hope your pretty ass is at least available to beat in billiards."

At some point in my game I had a functional toddler toy that was I believe a clone of the xylophone object, but it was little brown mushrooms. I don’t have it anymore and Google is failing me to find it again. Does anyone know what I’m talking about and have a link?

THE PIERCE LEGACY: GENERATION 4/5

Eight years later, here we go again! For everyone that may be around but doesn't remember, or for anyone new who might hop on here, here's the basics of this legacy:

Each generation is focused around a new occult life state. Generation 1 was ghosts, generation 2 was imaginary friends, generation 3 was fairies, generation 4 was werewolves, and generation 5 will be witches. If I manage to stick with it, we'll move onto mermaids, then plantsims, vampires, and the last two gens were still up in the air. Each gen also has a colour, with yellow, green and orange being those of the three surviving generations.

We're going to start off pretty light story wise until the kids are at least children, to see if I can actually get back into it, but then we'll see.

All old posts are still linked on their navigation page, and the summary of the most recent generation's story is specifically here. (Bear in mind it was all written 8-10 years ago, so it's not all very well written and is outright clumsy in places, plus some posts were lost to the censors.)

More details below the cut. (Sorry, this got WAY TL;DR.)

The current family is as follows:

Maylu, Nat and Kain Pierce: Maylu was generation 3's heiress, and is the only non-occult sim left in this family. Nat was her childhood sweetheart, and Kain was another fairy they both met at university. What started as a drunken three-way became asking Kain to help them have kids became a polyamorous relationship.

Alfred and Avery Pierce: Generation 4's heir and spare. 'Twins', of a sort, in that they were born on the same day, even if they're actually half-brothers. Avery is blind in one eye and Alfred has stunted wing growth, both as a result of the same incident in their childhood.

Tessa Pierce (née O'Connell) and Ylva Pierce (née Tate): Generation's 4's spouses! Both werewolves that have rough pasts, as all the wolves do. Tessa and Alfred have been together since they were young teens, Ylva and Avery got together later in their teen years.

Ivory Nein-Russel and Adrian Nein-Russel: Unrelated to the Pierces themselves, but Ivory, Tessa and Ylva are practically sisters. With a little bit of an age gap, Adrian and Ivory fell in love last, but no less deeply, and last we saw they'd just gotten married.

Elanya Pierce, Felan Pierce and Calypso Nein-Russel: Heiress and spares (sort of) of generation 5! Elanya is a fairy, Felan and Calypso are werewolves. Calypso was adopted. They're a bit older than when we last saw them, being treated as more around 3-4 than 1-2.

Then, living elsewhere in town and only here for this picture, there's:

Ella Pierce and Faye Pierce: Spares from generation 4, Ella being Maylu's bio kid and Faye being Nat's, a turned-werewolf and a fairy respectively. Ella grew up a normal sim, but got Dexter to change her when they were teens because she was tired of being the only normal sim. This was more dangerous than expected.

Dexter Pierce (née Richwood) and Obsidian Pierce (née James): Spouses to Ella and Faye, respectively. Both werewolves, who like Adrian were also with the pack since they were kids. Dexter and Adrian have a bit of a rivalry, but they've been working on it.

Xavier Pierce and Cyril Pierce: Cousins to generation 5, Ella and Faye's kids respectively. Xavier is a werewolf and Cyril is a fairy.

I have all sorts of weird random bits of personalised occult lore for this family, but the relevant bits are:

There are very rare instances of occult hunters, and there is, technically, still one out there on the trail of the wolves in this family.

Fairies all start with the tiny little wings that then grow into one of the bigger shapes when they get older. Alfred's were stunted by emotional trauma and never grew.

Fairies can develop something called an adeptnature, which is a talent for a very specific branch of their nature magic. Alfred has one for befriending small animals, Avery has one that lets him sense the weather.

Fairies can have a variety of face markings, like Nat's 'eyeshadow' or the speckles on Alfred and such, that almost always skip a generation.

There are three kinds of werewolves: born wolves, moonborn wolves, and turned-wolves. Tessa, Ylva and Ivory are each of those respectively.

Cottonwood Hills, the town I play in, is a generally very welcoming town for occults but does not believe weresims exist. Maylu is working on proving it so the weres in the family can be open about what they are without issue.

Normal sims cannot learn alchemy. (Obviously they actually can mechanically, but lore wise.)
