I was at Anime Impulse this last weekend!! I had an absolute blast but I totally forgot to promote here. I need to restock (AGAIN!?!?!) of this print bc everyone blew through my stock (entirely my fault bc i didn't order enough) and hopefully I can have them on my big cartel soon. I just need to get things to ship it in.....and restock lol
So, I have COVID at the moment. Booooooo. I’m also abroad, so I have basically none of my equipment ;-; This isn’t my best work, but I just had to get it out there because literally the only thing keeping me sane is @somerandomdudelmao‘s ROTTMNT Apocalypse AU!
Some lines in this - the conversation/transmissions at the beginning - are directly from Cass’s work and recorded very poorly by me as a bit of context. This song/snippet is directly about what (might) be running through Donnie’s head in Episode 11, Part 9.
Go check it out if you haven’t!!!
Lyrics under cut:
Donnie:
I’m running...
I’m running...
I’m running out of time...
I’m running, I’m running,
I’m running out of time!
Teach Leo everything I know!
Help Mikey make the gardens grow!
Make plans for Raph to be made whole -
when the war is done,
when the healing has begun!
And Casey, I’m sorry,
I promised that I tried
But with this choice,
I know I may not make it through the night.
‘Cause when the song comes to an end
there’s no more coda to be sung,
and it’s just me here on the front lines
in a war that must be won!
Tick, tick, tick
of the clock
I’m fine.
Tick, tick, tick
of the clock
I’ll fight! oh...
Tick, tick, tick
of the clock
I’m fine.
I’m running out,
I’m running out,
I’m running out of time.
I’m fine!
I’m fine!
I’m fine,
I’ll fight!
I’m fine!
I’m fine!
I’m fine,
just fine.
I’m fine!
I’m fine!
I’m fine,
just fine.
I’m running out,
I’m running out,
I’m running out of time!
Well, here you go. Some nsfw Johnny/Bill. The first handwritten fic was supposed to go in this direction.
The downside to doing this by hand is that I write so slowly compared to how fast I think, and I can't edit, so it's rougher than the fic I usually post.
If anyone wants to transcribe this, please do! I will be typing it up and posting to AO3 when I can type pain-free again, but until then...
"It's sort of modern pop-dance version of one of those*, really, where a lot of the songs are about relationships, or waiting for your lover to come and see you, or wondering why something went wrong and a lot of it seems to happen at night, when people's perceptions of life are different. In the middle of the night things seem more exaggerated – something bad seems worse, something good seems better."
